My law firm signed up for the LexisNexis service Patent Advisor about a year ago. I believed that it was a monthly service and we could cancel at any time. I am now trying to cancel the service to save on costs. However, I am being told that we have a contract and that our subscription renewed automatically at the end of July. I was never notified of the renewal and given a chance to opt out. I have asked them to email me a copy of our contract and they refuse to do so. They say I can access it online but no one in my organization has been able to do so. I keep getting transferred to different people when I call, but no one can give me an answer as to how I can get out of the contract (which I can't find out the terms of). I am incredibly frustrated and angry, but have no idea who I can complain to.
Desired outcome: For LexisNexis to cancel the contract and stop billing us for service.
