This place is the worst to take your vehicle for service, especially if you serve our great country!
This place is the worst to take your vehicle for service, especially if you serve our great country! I took my car in for a diagnostic, oil change, recalls, and all that jazz. Brought it back home, parked it in the garage, and then drove it two days later, only to find COOLANT LEAKING all over the place! I took it to a mechanic who knows their stuff, and they said whoever did the oil change and checked the coolant had no clue what they were doing. These guys didn't even bother putting the oil cap or the Coolant Reservoir Cap back on, so coolant and oil were just everywhere. What a joke! I tried calling to talk to the management, but all I got was voicemail. They conveniently never returned my call, and it was a complete waste of money. Save yourself some cash, time, and a major headache by going somewhere else that actually knows how to be professional and take care of their customers. Trust me, the other reviews are probably just from their own family and friends. No thanks.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. I drove 45 min to an hour away and was scheduled to look at a 2018 Ram 1500, that was Black, With side step and bed liner. Got there and began looking around. I located the truck I was scheduled to view and confirmed the correct VIN number. The truck was very dirty, hadn't even been cleaned. It did not have the side step or bed liner as advertised. I was approached by a guy who got into contact with the person I was supposed to be meeting with. After speaking with him he said that "they haven't gotten a chance to clean it out". Which you'd think if you had someone scheduled for 2 days to visit you'd at least clean it out. Am I right? When confronted about the bed liner and side step he stated that "they probably just threw a generic description on it". Which is absolutely terrible, and misleading. It had almost NONE of the features listed on the website. The best I was offered was that he could "keep and eye out for what I want". Didn't even bother to once apologize for the misleading website post. My entire experience was a complete waste. I strongly do not recommend.
I wish I could give this place zero stars
I wish I could give this place zero stars. We bought a brand new 2020 Dodge Journey from here. When we were dealing with Antonio, they didn't even let us test drive the car before we bought it. They said our drive home would be our test drive. We've already had to bring the car back to the dealership twice because it keeps overheating, and we haven't even taken off the temporary tags yet. When we expressed our unhappiness with the car, the finance manager wasn't helpful at all in resolving the issues. He didn't want to help us get out of the car because he would lose too much money. Instead, he tried to blame us for not test driving it before signing the papers. Not only were we not allowed to test drive the car we were buying, but we also had to hear about Antonio's personal life. He thought it was okay to brag about cheating on his wife just to afford daycare for his kids. If I had the chance, I would run far away from this dealership. We got screwed over, and things just keep getting worse.
The latest is really the worst example of laziness and ineptitude of the service department
The latest is really the worst example of laziness and ineptitude of the service department. Our grand cherokee is a little over a year old and the ac cuts out after about 2 hours or so of driving. We took it in to have it looked at before our yearly trip to *** with our dogs. Technician calls my wife to say likely nothing really wrong just us not knowing how to use the ac system right. Really. A vehicle we've driven daily for a year and also a vehicle model we've leased multiple times before. They also "reset" the climate control system just in case. I was pretty mad then because I doubted their inaction solved anything but you have to trust these "experts" because this is their job. As expected the ac fails in Alabama. 90+ degree weather. Lucky our dogs didn't die before I could get to a road side rest. 5 minutes of *** yielded that the blower fan relay over heats and fails. I'm handy enough to know where the fuses/ relays are and luckily this vehicle uses this same relay for multiple things so I swapped a couple around and boom ac back for the rest of the 10+ hours of driving.Bottom line. I wouldn't trust them to change a light and as a matter of fact have avoided addressing a recall on my car for years because I don't trust them. I hate being so nasty but my dogs could have died in 90 degree heat on a highway in Alabama because the Liberty service *** couldn't be bothered to do their job.
Rep: Dave R***
Rep: Dave R. Manager: Rob. They told me the out the door price is $43,700 and I have text messages and communications back and forth. I asked if it included everything and he said yes. Now, after going to the vehicle registration office to DMV, they charged me close to $2,900 and I'm surprised and shocked. As far as I know, whenever you buy a vehicle anywhere in the US, my friends or I have never had to pay something to the DMV when purchasing out of state. It's really painful in these tough times to pay that much, especially after all the hurdles and struggles. I've called many times and left voicemails, but the mailbox is always full and I can't leave a message. I've called at least 30 times and tried to talk to the boss or someone, but they always say to talk to the rep and I couldn't find him. Either he's on vacation or he blocked my phone or something. Trust me, until I signed my contract, I was able to reach him every day. But once I got the vehicle, it became very tough to reach him. I've waited outside the DMV for hours and called my bank because no one is picking up my phone. They told me my loan amount is already higher and the market price for that car is $41,000. I'm shocked by that and he didn't approve the loan. He asked me to get a personal loan for 5.5% APR and I'm so pissed. 2) Since it's out of state, you have to send the car and I understand there may be communication problems. But trust me, I told them 10 times or sent messages to Dave to have a strip in the front (Glass Tint), but it was missing. 3) How can someone send the car with mud all over it and coke spills and stains on the panorama roof? It's dirty all over and please check the attached pictures to see how bad the car looks. You should understand how frustrated I am seeing this. I've waited almost 2 weeks and no response from anyone. I ping Dave once a day to check on this, but he's always unavailable or something. They have never tried to address this issue and I really need you guys to understand how bad these people are. Never ever choose this dealership. And after talking to these guys nicely, you know what the manager told me? "Can you please clean it with wipes?" It's really such a pain in the butt. How can people be so mean and inhuman?
I gotta keep using Liberty Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 'cause of the warranty, but dang, their service department is awful
I gotta keep using Liberty Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 'cause of the warranty, but dang, their service department is awful. I ain't never buying from them again. The only reason I did was 'cause of that Warranty Forever they was advertising (I put a ton of miles on my rides). If only I knew how terrible the *** is, I would've gone somewhere else. In this crazy market where it's hard to buy a car, I wish they'd just take it back so I never have to deal with 'em again! Let me start by sayin', yeah, I'm a lady who knows her cars. It's real unfortunate that service shops can take advantage of folks who don't. I bought this car in May with only 11 miles on it (my first brand new car ever). On June 11th (*** miles), I dropped it off at Liberty to get a bunch of problems checked out (transmission, it was makin' a clickin' sound at around 40mph when I let off the gas and then pressed it again, brakes makin' a grindin' sound on rough terrain, radio system actin' up, and the push auto locks not workin'). After leavin' it there all day, they called me and said it was ready for pick up, but they couldn't find any of the issues I mentioned and just did an update on the radio system. I went to pick it up and noticed the mileage was still at ***! How can you "find" anythin' wrong with the transmission and brakes without drivin' it? Oh, and the lock still wasn't workin'... I went back in and talked to a manager who seemed upset too when he confirmed that the car wasn't driven and the locks still weren't workin'... By the way, I took pictures of the odometer 'cause I'm that person who don't trust people. He offered a free rental (since the car was still under warranty) and said they'd have someone look at it the next day. I picked it up again and they still couldn't find anythin' wrong with the transmission or brakes, but they did an update on the electrical system to fix the locks... Okay, whatever, maybe I'm just too sensitive to all the noises... Fast forward to July, time for the first oil change (yeah, I put a ton of highway miles on it). I took pictures of everythin' beforehand to make sure they did what they were supposed to 'cause I was havin' doubts. No issues there... Next oil change was in October , and again, I took the same steps to make sure it was all done right. But at the end of the service, when I asked for the Multi Point Inspection form, the service rep said, "Oh, it must still be back in the shop, I'll go get it." Fifteen minutes later, he came back with a sheet... My guess is they never did it and just did it real quick back there (I'll get to why this matters in a bit). In December, I started noticin' a problem with the steering. It kinda felt like there was a spot that would lock up when I turned the wheel left or right, like a little catch, and I had to put more pressure on it than usual, which was a real problem in the snow... I took the vehicle in to get it checked, and of course, they couldn't find anythin' wrong... A couple weeks later, I took it in again, and still nothin'... By that point, it was gettin' close to the end of the warranty... I did my own research and found out that some owners of the same year, make, and model were havin' similar issues. Finally, I found someone online who found a mechanic shop in another state that could diagnose the problem. I reached out to that person for the shop's name. I called the shop, and they said it was the Steering Rack... I called Liberty to take it in once again before the warranty expired. Finally, after the third time, the technician realized it was the Steering Rack! So here we are now, August , and I'm still dealin' with the "transmission noise" that I first complained about when it only had *** miles on it. It don't always happen, but in the past few months, it's gotten worse, so I decided to take it in. Since my next oil change was comin' up (it's now at 85K+ miles), I figured I'd mention it then. I brought it up durin' the oil change, and they said they couldn't look at it the same day 'cause of the oil change, so we scheduled for 8/26. MY BREAKIN' POINT TODAY! I took it in, waited an hour, and they told me, "Great news, the technician drove it and thinks the problem is the strut mount on the driver's side. We got the parts, and it'll cost you $515.00." I said, "Are you sure it ain't the transmission? I feel like it happens sometimes and it makes me think it's transmission-related..." He assured me it wasn't. I explained to him that it's a problem 'cause when I brought it in two years ago with the same problem (which he could see in the records), they couldn't hear the sound, but now that it's out of warranty for those kinda repairs, they suddenly can... Of course, he said, "Well, this is only the second time you've complained about it..." Well, guess what? I don't trust your service, and the problem wasn't consistent until recently, so I didn't feel the need to bring it in until I knew you could hear it... After leavin' there all mad, I looked at my "Multi Point Inspection" papers from the oil change six days ago and noticed that they marked the left and right struts as bein' in good condition, but I guess they lie on those papers 'cause it also says they reset the Oil Indicator light when they changed the oil, but when I left that day, I had to go back in and ask 'em to reset it. Which they did and then apologized... Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE IF YOU PLAN ON HAVIN' THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DO ANYTHING TO YOUR RIDE, EVEN IF YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! The sales team was alright, and the manager who helped me with my first set of issues in 2019 seemed to care about my concerns, but now I'm stuck dealin' with this service department.

In 2016, I bought an extended warranty from Liberty so I could get the "Good" interest rate
In 2016, I bought an extended warranty from Liberty so I could get the "Good" interest rate. The warranty ain't worth a dime, they never cover any repairs under it. I just want my money back for that warranty, nothing else. Here's a link to the warranty company that Liberty uses to scam customers.

I talked to Chet 'bout gettin' finance for a new ride from Chrysler Capital, 'cause I already got approved before. I gave him all the Chrysler info so he could check it for the car I wanted, but instead he went ahead and checked my credit without askin' me. Now it's showin' up on my credit report, and I never said he could do that. He just took it from the Chrysler Capital form.

On 11/20/22, I brought my car to Liberty Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and left it there for 5 days because the daytime running light and a parking light were not working. I was told that they fixed it, but it was obvious that they didn't. When I picked up my vehicle, the indicator lights were still on. I went back inside and the guy said they just forgot to reset the indicator lights. But I can clearly see that my lights are still not working. This feels like theft to me. I paid for a service that was not completed and I was lied to. It's really frustrating.

I bought a used truck on October 23
I bought a used truck on October 23. It's been 3 months, but the title hasn't been transferred to me yet. In December, they sent me a 45-day tag, which expires on January 15, 2022. Since they wouldn't return my calls, I decided to visit the dealership on January 14, 2022, to find out what's going on. Unfortunately, no one was there to answer my questions. They said they would try to find out on Monday, the seventeenth, and let me know. It's frustrating because I can't use the vehicle that I've already made 2 payments for, and I have to make a third payment next week.
I bought a used 2015 Ford Escape from Liberty on July 1
I bought a used 2015 Ford Escape from Liberty on July 1. On July 2nd, I went on a trip to Florida to visit my daughter. On July 5th, the car started acting strange - it overheated and the oil light came on. I checked all the fluids and noticed that the oil level was very low, so I added some oil and antifreeze. The next day, the check engine light came on. I had the car inspected and they told me that it needed a new coil pack, so I had that replaced. However, just 2 days later, the check engine light came back on. I had to get the car towed to a Ford dealership. This happened on a Saturday. The dealership contacted me and informed me that the engine was blown. I reached out to Liberty to let them know what was happening and gave them the contact information for the dealership in Florida. Unfortunately, Liberty did not call me back. The service writer at the Ford dealership called me to inform me that Liberty agreed to pay only half of the cost to replace the motor in the Escape. I found this to be very unprofessional. So now I have to pay $5,000.00 out of pocket for a car that I have only owned for 2 weeks!
6/1 We had our Ram towed to Liberty Dodge Jeep Ram in ***
6/1 We had our Ram towed to Liberty Dodge Jeep Ram in ***. We had $3,000 of work done at this dealership. We brought the truck home 6/6. We left town and came back 6/15. 6/16 we had to have it towed back to Liberty Dodge Jeep Ram because it continued to lose power and run exactly the way it had ran when we took it in for repairs. They let it sit and didn’t work on it for some time, we got every excuse there was to get. Then they started coming up with various reasons they couldn’t work on it. Then we were told we needed new batteries. My husband had to drive to the dealership and replace the batteries while it was there. Then we were told it was a Cylinder 6 misfire, then we were told it could have been a mouse chewing threw some of the wires, then we were told it was possibly an exhaust pressure sensor or maybe it was something electrical. Mark with *** gave us many things it “could have been”. They did not stand by their original work and we had the vehicle towed to another *** dealer for service on 7/2, we spent $3000 at Liberty, they did not correctly repair the issue and we are spending more money at an other dealership.
I bought a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 and the warranty
I bought a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 and the warranty. I took the truck in 'cause the transmission wasn't shifting right. They said I needed a whole new transmission. It's been six weeks and I still don't know what's going on. I asked to talk to the service manager, but they haven't given me an update. They won't even tell me how long it's gonna take to fix it. I asked if I could get a rental car while they work on my truck. They said I could, but only for 5 days and I might not get reimbursed for any extra days. They won't tell me the rules for getting reimbursed for more than 5 days. They say it's secret info. They won't even approve an extended rental before they fix my truck. Not having a car for six weeks has been a big problem. It's hard to do normal stuff like grocery shopping and taking care of my kid. And now I can't visit my family for the holidays. This whole situation is really frustrating.
I bought a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited from Liberty Chrysler Jeep Ram on 2/26
I bought a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited from Liberty Chrysler Jeep Ram on 2/26. It came with a warranty for the whole life of the vehicle. We used them for any service work we needed until we had some problems with their service department. They were really rude to my wife a few times. We asked Liberty if we could get our vehicle serviced somewhere else and still keep our lifetime warranty. They said "Yeah, as long as it's a certified mechanic." We wanted to be safe in case we lost the warranty on a technicality. So, we started getting our Jeep serviced at John Hinderer Chrysler Jeep on 1290 Hebron Rd. in Heath. We made sure to do all the recommended services. Eventually, we had leaky valve cover gaskets. We asked if they could use the warranty to fix it. They couldn't find the warranty and told us to contact the original dealer we bought it from. We reached out to Liberty Chrysler Jeep Ram, and they said our warranty was void because we didn't call ahead before getting any service done. We specifically asked what we needed to do to keep our warranty, and they told us multiple times that all we had to do was keep up with the routine maintenance and use a certified mechanic. We did exactly as they said and went to another Jeep dealer. All the routine maintenance is linked to the VIN. We have proof that it was done, but Liberty is refusing to honor our warranty. We've bought 2 vehicles from Liberty, and we were happy with them until their service writers became really rude. We just want our warranty back.
On 7/31, I bought a 2019 Dodge Charger from Liberty Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram
On 7/31, I bought a 2019 Dodge Charger from Liberty Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. I also got an extended warranty from them, but it wasn't included in the car's price. In April this year, my car got wrecked in an accident and the insurance company declared it a total loss. So, I called the dealership and talked to Mychelle Defazio, the finance manager, about canceling the extended warranty and getting a refund for the remaining amount since I paid for it. That's what other dealerships usually do. She sent me a check, but then she contacted me again saying she needed to return the money to Chrysler because she claimed the insurance company hadn't paid for the car. That's not true at all. I tried to reach her, but I couldn't get through because I was out of the country. When I returned, I tried contacting her again because she left me another voicemail saying that the extended warranty amount was deducted from the car's payoff. That's another false statement. Progressive paid off the full amount for the 2019 Dodge Charger. I'm having a hard time reaching Ms. Defazio and I'm getting a lot of excuses. The $1782.18 is my money and I want it back. It's really unacceptable for a business that claims to be reputable to treat me like this. I've attached some documents that show the payoff amount, including the balance of my Chrysler account and the expected interest at that time. Thank you for your time.
This is the email I sent to the dealership
This is the email I sent to the dealership. It explains the situation: Mr. C, I am reaching out to you first to allow you a chance to make this right prior to filing a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com and the ***. I really hope that someone has the business sense to make this right. Let me first start by saying my husband is a veteran. That in itself, in my opinion, deserves better treatment than we have received. We started our own transportation company last year and have been off to a really good start. When we started, we had a *** F-250, and for some reason, when my husband decided to buy a newer truck, he went with a Dodge 2500. This could have been our first mistake. Two weeks ago on a Friday, we brought the truck in to your shop because there was a recall. Come to find out, there were four! We were told it would be 4 hours and we would be back in business. Please keep in mind this is our ONLY work truck and it pulls a 36ft trailer that hauls two cars at a time. We had dropped our trailer In our driveway with two cars that needed to be delivered by Saturday. As of 3:00 pm Friday (we dropped it off at 9:00 am) we had not received a call. We called for a status and were told that our truck was unsafe to drive and that star would not release the part for them to replace what was wrong (drag link). Buddy advised that their hands were tied and there was nothing they could do. He said he would keep checking the star system to see if they would release the part. On Saturday morning, we drove to your shop and we were either getting answers or demanding our vehicle back. We were advised that it could not be released to us but there was an update on the system. The man read to me word for word that the part was authorized, that it would take 3-4 days to receive and repair, and that we could get a rental. I stressed to this man that we needed something comparable because we had freight to deliver and we had to keep our business open! We had already been impacted by covid 19 and we could not af*** to be out of business for 3-4 days. He said he understood and that they would provide a rental. He said that since they did not have a loaner, we would have to rent one and then be reimbursed. I said “are you sure we can get a rental?” And he replied “yes, here is what it says” and he read it again. I asked him if I could get a screen shot because I do not trust companies to do what they say they will do and he said “well I cannot do that but this right here is a pretty good case if they try to deny it”. When I left, I called *** and they told me that I needed to send them my proof of paying for the rental once I’ve paid and it will take 30 days to reimburse. Never ONCE was I told “it might be” or there were ANY conditions. You had our truck from Friday until late Wednesday. I’m not sure about you but starting a brand new business, 6 days of ZERO income would have really hurt us. Especially coming off of 3 months of very limited work due to covid. Now, after submitting the bill, *** doesn’t want to pay, they say its “star’s” responsibility, of course I’m not able to talk to this elusive “star” because they are not customer facing, and now I get a return call from Buddy saying I need to contact *** because they would be the ones to pay “if they agree to do anything”. WHAT? “Agree”? I do not recall this ever being a situation of having to agree AFTER the fact. The agreement came before we rented the vehicle and was relayed to me by your service department. You can also verify this with Chet C, as he was present for this and he even commented that he was glad to hear we were “taken care of”. Just so you know, our business did continue with the rental and we were charged 645.00. This was the daily charge plus the 1400.00 miles we drove to keep our business up and running. If it were 38.00 per day, That’s one thing, but that is a pretty significant charge for someone to screw up. I imagine that is why nobody suddenly wants to cover it. I appreciate your attention to this matter and would like to hear back from you by Monday July 6th. Thank you, After I sent this email, I received an immediate response from Mr. C advising that it was not the dealership responsibility that I needed to reach out to ***. So again, I contacted *** and their response was "As the dealership were (sic) the ones setting up the rental, they would be the ones you need to continue to work with regarding the reimbursement. Through our department we are not able to offer the reimbursement for that rental".
