I have never received such poor service from a used car dealership before in my life the way you go about doing your business is very unprofessional. I submitted all the relevant documentation 3 days ago to purchase the cherry Tigo on your floor 14/02/2017. On the 14/02/2017, you confirmed that all four banks approved me at a fixed rate where I told you that I do not want a fixed rate and that your Finance department would contact me. You also told me that I would be taking delivery off the vehicle on 15/02/2017. After numerous calls on the 15/02/2017 late afternoon 14 H 30 you told me that, I will only be able to take delivery on 16/02/2017. Up to then no one contacted me with the Finance details. On 16/02/2017 at 13H20 I was contacted by Mandi, confirming my Finance were approved at an interest rate of 15.5% fixed saying she almost forgot about me. We discussed the interest rate and I told her that I do not want a fixed rate and out of her own, she added a motor plan of R6000. I told her that I do not want the Motor plan and I need a better rate. She phoned me back in about twenty minutes stating that she was able to get a rate off 12.5 percent with a term off 72 Months that was also wrong, I wanted to finance on 60 Months.
After numerous phone calls and being ignored by Yvonne not answering her office number or Cell I finally contacted Leandra and complained about what going on. If this is the way, you go about doing your business its Unethical and with no Integrity.
I will lodge a complaint with McCarthy South Africa.

Am currently buying at Mercedes Benz in Witbank, the deal is complete and the dealer has to deliver the car to me and after I signed the delivery note for Absa to pay the finance. However; on 23/04/2016 which was the arranged delivery date for the car, the sales lady Silla Barnard sent me a text message in the morning stating I need to pay my deposit of R20 000.00 and have the proof ready when she delivers the car to me in Johannesburg Alberton. Previously ABSA indicated to me that I can pay the money after the car is delivered to me it is not a problem, but nevertheless rushed to the bank at 9:45 and paid that balance.
I then phoned Silla to inform her that I have completed the transfer. Silla then told me that her boss Leandra Joubert is requesting for the proof of payment to be faxed or mailed to her, of which at the time I did not have excess to both. I however went back and queue at bank to request the bank consultant at the branch to assist me in mailing the proof to Silla and Leandra. I then phoned to confirm if they have received the email from the bank consultant. Both Silla and Leandra acknowledged having received the email, but Leandra insisted that she wants the money to reflect on their side.
I informed the bank consulted of this situation and enquired from the bank if there is a way which the money can be transferred immediately to show on the McCarthy Kunene FNB account. The answer was that the money will take two days to reflect on their side. However; the bank consultant took a phone and phoned Leandra and explained that the transaction was successfully made to McCarthy Kunene. Leandra still insisted that the car will not be delivered if the money is not reflecting immediately on their side.
I went again to the bank try to reverse the money but I was unsuccessful as that was a cash transfer. I informed both Silla and Leandra that I am on my way to FNB to pay the money with my credit card. I then had to go to FNB to register the McCarthy Kunene bank account as a beneficiary to my credit card and make the transfer. While I was in the queue to the bank consultants to make another R20 000 transfer to the dealer, about 11:48 Leandra sent me a text message notifying me that if the money is not in by 12:00 midday, the car will not be delivered.
I managed to transfer the money at about 11:57 and immediately phoned Leandra to alert her. She confirmed that they can see the money but, told me that there is no driver to make the delivery or I can go to Witbank to fetch the car. I have told her several times that I do not have transport to take me to Witbank, but Leandra insisted that I must take an Ooba from Alberton to Witbank which is are about 170km apart to collect the car.
Later she asked, if Silla delivers the car, will I take her back to Witbank. I then asked her if she will pay for the petrol for bringing back Silla and she refused. I tried to phone both of them for an amicable solution, but they were both rejecting my calls. Sunday I sent Silla a text message to alert her that I am still in Johannesburg and I was wondering if she can make a plan for me to have my car. I received no response from her or Leandra until this day.
Both bank transactions were successful and today I had to ask ABSA to phone their head office for the money paid to the McCarthy Kunene dealer to be reversed and that came with a penalty. The car insurance charged me a pro-rata from 23/04/2016 until month end; because that was the day the car was going to be in my possession. Today Leandra is telling my ABSA AVAF officer that she wants to reverse the deal if the car is not collected this midweek.
I have never been so mistreated when buying something from the shop, like I was at McCarthy Kunene. A Mercedes Benz is not a cheap car and this ill respect is not on for any customer, even when a customer is buying a can of coke from a supermarket. I would like to point out the following things which I need to be addressed;
1. I need my expenses from the meter cab from Durban to King Shaka International airport to be paid.
2. My return flight to JHB to be paid.
3. My meter cab from OR Tambo to my accommodation to be paid.
4. My insurance pro-rata because they made me to pay for something that was not in my possession.
5. My bank charges for making me pay multiple transactions and not fulfilling delivery.
6. I do not want anyone to drive my car and deliver it beyond Johannesburg from Witbank as Leandra suggests, if she wants to make a deliver sooner then she will have to put the car on the car transporter and deliver the car to the city I will select depending on when the delivery will be fulfilled.
