Not good enough.
The curtains arrived in the worst packaging I have ever received. The flimsy plastic bag was far too small and had torn in several places including the corners and the sealer to use when sending them back had stuck to the curtain bag inside. This caused a problem when returning them as I had to tape the bag back together. Curtains did not look like the colour that was on site so they had to be returned. Did not find the returns easy as it always focuses on printing a label which I cannot do but eventually managed to get QR code. Will think twice before ordering again from this company.

I have tried to clear balance by due date (24/11/2023); problem with payment process on LW site (it would not let payment complete) I SPOKE to live agent (Monday 04/12)I was promised a callback by today (Tuesday 12 December) but no call received at time of this query (1630hrs);
Verbal consent to allow the BNPL interest free payoff balance was to be processed by LW calling my phone number today.
As of now I am trying to reach LW by phone but no current contact number is available so not able to clear remaining BNPL payment with a LIVE agent.

Samsung washing machine was delivered faulty/broken on the 11/12/2023.
Washing machine was delivered faulty .Was ordered from littlewoods and the supplier cannot say how long another one will take even if they had one.It was bought on buy now pay later and I paid for delivery and installation.I want the item taken off my account.

I attempted to call your call centre today and received terrible service regarding my lazy spa fault , in last 3/4.weeks the flatable spa looses air and deflates after a day . I have been in contact with Lazy Spa already and as it’s under 12 mnths old then I have to raise a return/replacement with you. The advisor I spoke to today didn’t know what she was doing and had real hard time understanding me and what I was asking to be done . She obviously needs more training , she was suppose to sort a visit to review the fault or replacement, instead after 15 mins she put me through to lazy spa directly when they have told me as the goods are under 1 year old I need to escalate to you. Customer service
I have been a loyal customer of littlewood's for quite some time. I have always ordered products several times throughout the year, birthdays, christmas and other occasions. I have always paid on time and if not I have paid before I am meant to. My payments have never been late. I recently went on maternity leave and my partner became unwell with his mental health so he was unable tot work. This put us in financial difficulty. I have called littlewoods many times to explain the situation and that I was unable to pay my balance. So they agreed to put me on a payment plan of £30 every 4 weeks until the balance was paid. It was also agreed over the phone, twice, that my limit would not be affected. My limit has been affected it has been put down three times. I am not happy about this as it is the first time something like this has happened, I have always been a loyal paying customer and the one time I am struggling littlewoods put my limit down after I am promised it will not be affected as long as I make the 4 weekly payments of £30, which I have. I would like my limit to be put back up to what is was please. I have managed to save £300 so once I have the full balance I will pay it off. If my limit is not put back to what it was then I am going to take the matter further because this is not how customers should be treated, I also will not be using littlewoods again if my limit is not put back to where it was before.
Desired outcome: my spend limit put back to what it was originally before it was reduced massively.
Garden solar lights
After reading all negative feedback on these particular solar lights I still went ahead to order them. Guess what all feedback were right after two nights they stop working even though they had a good deal of sunshine. I rang yesterday to arrange a home collection The girl customer service was so unhelpful it was obvious she did not know what she was doing or had no proper training given made me wait 17minutes giving an excuse the system on playing up etc. I went on waiting still no joy. I told her was going to complain about her behaviour thats when she put the phone down on me. I made a note of her name time I called and date Anna at 15.41 on 27th May 2023 I tried calling again but there was no customer service available so will have to wait till Monday but thought of sharing my experience with you all. Its frustrating and there was no need to be rude.

I requested that Littlewoods close my credit account on 11th April 2023. No balance is on the account at all. I received a response advising that they will look into closing my account and it would take up to 28 days.
I received no response at all so on 11th May I emailed advising it had been over 28 days since I requested my account be closed. I received a response on 12th April advising that they had closed my account. However, my account is still not closed and is sitting with a credit limit of £150 on it.
I again messaged them to say that my account still remains open when I want it closed to which I have received a response saying that they cannot help me with my query through their channel. I have now had enough of their incompetence, I just want to close my account, I am having enough financial difficulties and just want to get things I am manging to clear closed off.
Desired outcome: I want my account completely closed. I would also like an apology for the poor customer service I have received from them.
Albion sofa and chairs
Received an Albion 2 seater sofa and chairs on February 1st 2023 and before 28 days was up I rang about returning it as it's the most uncomfortable sofa and chairs ever sat on I suffer with arthritis and it's killing my hips spoke to consumer rights and they have told me to get back to you to send it back for exchange for another suite or refund it COST OVER 1600 POUNDS

I place and order on the 25.11.22 and returned one item (unopened) on the 13.12.22. I have tracked the return of the item and can see it reached Littlewoods warehouse 19.12.22. I have sent 2 emails and sent in a query through my account on their website. You cannot contact them by phone as it is only an English number for Littlewood UK. I have heard nothing back from them, and I have received no credit back to my card.
Can you please advise how I resolve this issue as it is becoming a big problem that Littlewood Ireland has no customer service staff and more importantly you have no way of getting in touch with them? This is worse that worst customer service I have come across but it is a non-existing customer service and I would think this is breaking all the regulations for an existing business in Ireland.
Desired outcome: I want my money for the returned item and close my account.

Earlier this year I contacted you about my account as on the date I was supposed to pay you I couldn’t this was due to being diagnosed with cancer you passed me over to the specialist team where a young man promptly said it was ok you would freeze my account for a couple of months while I went through chemo which was very helpful, in September a lady called and asked how things were going this was about the third month I said I was fine she asked if I could start paying my account again I said yes and we agreed on £18 a month but I paid £50 a month but since then all you have done is send me threatening letters of clearing the balance which I am doing I have not missed any payments you have ruined my credit score by saying I’m missing payments how does this help I could easily have had it all wiped off but I wanted to pay it at first your company seemed to help but this is harassment and discrimination against a person that was struggling for a bit it needs to stop I’m paying it

This email does not work, I have tried repeatedly to telephone and try to resolve my issue. I purchased a product on the buy now pay later with clear instructions that if I paid before 2023 I would not be charged interest. However today 24th October I received a statement stating if I did not pay by the 13th October I would be charged considerable interest doubling the cost of the item.
I always pay in full, and have paid the product price in full this morning 24th October. I have tried to contact Littlewoods to ensure the interest has not been charged as I have only had the product a few weeks.

I purchased a pair of jeans with Littlewoods on buy now pay later with a £30 credit to be applied to the account if the order was £50 or over on buy now pay later. I paid the £20 in full however there is still a balance on the account. I have tried to web chat with them twice and they just say sorry the money is due and cut me off? I would not have bought the jeans (I have never worn them) if they did not offer the discount.
Fridge freezer
I bought a fridge freezer in the sale because I needed a larger one for dietary problems it came and that day went out and put more food in it ? 2 days later the fresh milk I bought had gone off and it was warm ? I thought it was me not putting the dial on high enough ? Checked the instructions and put it on very cold ? Next morning there was little change except the cooler was warm ? Checked the freezer again which was packed ? And everything was frozen? I got in touch with littlewoods and told a engineer would be calling out ? This was after trying different sites that took nearly 3 days to get a engineer who took another 3 days to come out ? He looked at the back of the fridge and told me to turn it off because go on fire it was that hot and he said he could smell burning ? I told him I cannot turn the fridge off because it was full of food in the freezer ?He then told me that was not working because it was burnt out ? I opened the freezer and everything was defrosted warm and a odour coming from the food ? He told me to contact littlewoods for a replacement asap ? Everytime I spoke to some one on the telephone they refused to pass me on to a manager or some one senior ? I was refused a new fridge because I would of gone over my credit limit after buying the dude fridge ? They said I needed a code from the engineer to say it was not my fault the fridge was not working ? I asked what was the procedure to put in a claim for the food I lost ? I was told to take pictures of the food off my mobile and send it to them ? I told the girl I did not know how to use the mobile ? She told me to keep the food until someone spoke to me from customer care ? My daughter who was my only source of help was ill ? I took photos and found out a app was out of date ? A few days later my daughter got through to customer care and she was told to throw the food out because of health and safety ? I had to send my phone to a shop to down load the photos to my laptop? I am disabled and have a speech impediment and while I tried to explain to one of the girls from littlewoods about getting a new fridge one of the jobs I was told to do was clean the burnt out fridge and bubble wrap it for the drivers for a pick up ? I told her I had a job washing myself most days and to bubble wrap it was beyond a joke ? She asked me if I understood english and mouthed the words very slowly ? Because I was getting agitated I had a diabetic attack ? And a angina attack I needed medication ? I tried to plead with her and said I needed the fridge but could not wrap the old one up ? Until my daughter called ? No bubble wrap no freezer ? I just could not get through to her it was littlewoods fault in sending me this faulty freezer ? I asked to speak to some one senior because I heard laughing as I tried to explain ? I was told to wait on the line ? 20mins later the phone went dead ? I did complain and told them the exact time I was on the phone with this person ? But nothing was done ? The pictures were sent and I was sent a email offering me £15 ? There were 4 trays of food in the pictures one picture showed a leg of lamb that cost £18 .00 ? I refused there offer and asked them how did they get to that sum ? There next offer was £30 but I could not reply to them because my father died after being admitted into hospital for a few weeks ? After the funeral a few weeks later I replied to a email because littlewoods had made me another offer of £50 and 15%of the purchase price of the fridge ? Plus they wanted more photos ?I sent the photos and the list of food that was defrosted and up to date prices and I told them there were also photos of the back of the fridge which had insulation tape on the copper pipes which looked as if this fridge was not new ? But a reconditioned one ?The last email I got back ? Said we need the receipts for the food that was defrosted ? Before we can pay you your claim ? I have been told they cannot ask for this because they supplied me with a fridge that did not work ? This must be the worst company for any customer care ?
Sofas
I also have been experiencing problems with littlewoods along with many more customers, i have called numerous times and been left holding on the phone for 15 minutes more and even to the point i have hung up, i ordered sofas a few weeks back and they had sent wrong legs for both sofas, there is no other way to contact them apart from their phone number which has high charges for caller which has cost me £££, why are this company allowed to get away with this especially a large number of complaints ? Is there any way we can put our complaints to someone higher ( consumer rights ? ) please help as this is appalling !
Awful service - disgusting experience
AWFUL... JUST AWFUL
Basically I ordered a bed from them over 6 weeks ago, I only ordered this one because of the delivery dates and I needed it by a certain date, they forgot to put it on the lorry and I wasted a days unpaid leave. I was then promised another delivery date.. once again they didn't show, so I cancelled the order as I needed the bed asap and they couldn't do it.
Since then I haven't received my refund, I have emailed them on an almost daily basis (sometimes three times a day!) to find out when I will be getting it and no response although was promised a 6 hour response time according to the automated reply. I am left waiting on the phone for hours on hold (resulting in a £150 phone bill) only to be told that nobody can help me and they will ring me back.. they don't! I sent my first letter of complaint last week and received an email saying I will get my money back on Monday 3 June 2014.. I didn't get it. Since then I have sent two further letters of complaint (one to Customer Excellence and another to the Head of Customer Excellence), sent around 5 emails and spoken to three different people - I have had no response from the letters OR emails and the people I spoke to told me they can't put me through to the Customer Excellence team (because the team wouldn't let them!) and they would rather ring me back.. still nothing!
I am at a loss, have since forwarded all correspondence to Trading Standards, Citizens Advice Consumer Rights Division and Which.. giving them until the end of the week until I forward onto Watchdog.
I have never known such terrible service!
