Worst customer service and activation process
This is the worst line to buy. I purchased a sim card and data plan it took long to get to me and upon arrival I couldn't activate it cos they didn't add the phone number and the pin required to do so. I called customer service and she was so rude, 2nd customer representative had nothing to resolve the issue rather than say I have escalated it. Over 24hrs I still cannot use or activate my sim. Very bad service and I feel all they do is collect money for purchases and abandon u.
Worst app
I am not able to see data usage and always this app takes lot of time to load. That’s why it’s so hard to recharge and there is plan that if you purchase a bundle like for 3 months you will get double data but i am not able to purchase bundle as this app does not show that option it only show 1 month in drop down . I m giving 1 star because i don’t have option to give 0 star.
No net work in my IPhone 8
Last month 15 I recharged $35 plan after that I couldn’t get net work in my iPhone,I complained many time but not resolved this problem,so I planned tomorrow go to change my connection Sprint or Ultra because all of my friends get network anywhere with the above mentioned network.If you solve my problem I am ready to continue with you or change my family’s 3 connection. Hope your reply soon.
The worst app ever
Unfortunately, there is no 0 star to rate the app. One star is a lot. I am using Lycamobile for more than 3 years, and still the same issue with the app. Please fix it or delete from the App Store. Please don’t reply by uninstall and install the app. Fix it or remove it from App Store. As I mentioned in my previous review last year, I don’t have issue with the service, but the app is do so bad.
Waste of time and money
I have been using Verizon for almost 7 years never had an issue like this and had a local sim for international calls but they're not releasing my number have spoken with more than ten agents to get the account number and PIN. However, I was asked to share personal information in order to release the number including the last recharge, date of activation. date of birth, SIM PUK, and Sim serial number
Horrible app and service
I’ve been using Lycamobile for 4 years but never knew how bad it was until I decided to cancel my auto-renewal, which has been ridiculously hard for such a simple thing. Dialing *190# to cancel always shows an error message. Everytime I try to cancel through the app, it either crashes on me or shows the loading symbol forever. I’ve tried reinstalling and it still does the same thing. Lycamobile deserves 0 stars.
Horrible carrier
They have horrible customer service. It takes days of constant calling and emailing to resolve issues. Their app doesn’t work and so I had to sign in as guest to renew my phone plan unlike before. They didn’t send me a text with the necessary information like when to renew my plan like they used to a year ago. It used to be a tolerable carrier, however I don’t know what happened. Now they are lacking in many ways.
Doesn’t load
The application is terrible. It has a difficult time loading the information so that you can see your balance. I’ve wasted a lot of time just trying to see my balance. It does not update accurately. I renewed a one month plan and though it updated the termination date it did not update the amount of data (Megas) I had available. Also you cannot renew a one month plan on the app. You must go to their Internet site.

Very disappointed I had this service for years with no problem at all. Then suddenly your internet is just not working is not updating and your customer service is not that great. I feel like I just got ripped off I order a new plan because my plan expired and is aireado saying that I used most of my internet which is a lie how can I used most if my internet when I just order a plan brand new plan. Your company is not even trying to fix it. Several attempts no call no return calls wow
Do not use this company
I have purchased a sim card and plan with this company now my month is coming to an end i cannot update my plan to add more data because the app does not work, no sms gets sent to my phone and the app continuously crashes. I reached out to the support team and they replied once with no solution to the problem. I asked them if they could top up data to my account for the hassle, time and energy wasted and they stopped replying to my emails. Now i can’t txt, call or use any data through Lyca.
Never loads/works
Downloaded thee app today - it then asks for your phone # to send you a 5 digit # via message & never receive it & after that any additional attempts to go back to app & try to login & check account is met with a spinning round & round internet symbol that never loads - it’s not my connection or WiFi as all others work - emails / internet etc etc….still same spinning internet not connecting / loading … I shall shortly delete & remove thee app - I see numerous other people with same difficulties
No Star deserved
I didn’t even wanted to give a single star it is that terrible service. I renewed the plan in advance so i can get uninterrupted service. The plan renewed but don’t have the data allowance and when i made the complain i was told the data allowance will be posted to the acc in 24-48 hours it’s already been 72 hours now and again upon following up 2 times since yesterday I’ve the same answer. Shouldn’t do the business if it is not in the capacity to handle the services. It is frustrating af. Thank you
Worst App, Network, and Customer Service
It's been a pain moving to this network. For half a month it was all slow-data, texts coming in late, signal service is poor.
Add to that their customer service from chat, call, email, and even on Twitter-they're all rude and not helpful. Things that a customer should see and know on their app/website doesn't show. Seems like this is all fraud.
Then this app. It's slow. Doesn't load properly. The options are not customer friendly.

Suggestion
Make an app that will allow us users from foreign countries other then US to use your app. I’m using your service and would love to see that happen. Right now, I have to use your website to make a plan or recharge which is not quite optimized to be honest, but an app will allow me to keep track on my plan, simply because it’s easier for everyone who own a smart device. Since you want to be a worldwide carrier on the market, this is the main thing for foreign customers to use your services and prove your quality on the market. Thank you.
Switch to another phone carrier
Lyca is completely a price of crap. I'm using their service but when I tried to log on through my phone number, they said phone number not valid. I also tried to edit my auto-pay credit but I can't. Now I have two questions so I have to contact them. Neither their hotline and online service was available! Still fine, cuz I'm gonna open the app and do the research by myself. Now guess what? Im using Iphone 12 mini and their app panel doesn't fit my screen at all, some buttons can't be reached at all!
So, don't waste your money on their service.
Slow service after paying $50
Only reason I have Lyca is because of Internarional even then I pay $50 and the internet is either slow or just doesn’t even work at all in some areas. It’s ver frustrating if you are charging for $50 atleast provide decent speed. There app is a piece of crap, never works I have tried for 3 years. rather then being sorry and doing this formality maybe try actually improving the app or service. It’s been 3 YEARS and this app hasn’t changed or worked. Or just take off the app from App Store. All they do is a formality of being sorry. Non of their data checking or balance checking number works given on their website. I’ll be changing service next month!
Completely broken
Update:
Now they’ve broken their site, and offer deals if you buy 3 months at a time, but they the site won’t let you choose 3 months. They only selection is 1 month. These guys just don’t have a clue!

App hasn’t worked a single time in several months I’ve tried to use it. Just shows a spinner and you can’t do anything. All they ever say is to reinstall the app, which sometimes lets it work again for a while but is a hassle and it breaks again within a week or two.

The app is often useless when trying to manage my account because it gives random errors and won’t show me my account. I usually have to use the website instead because the app is broken so bad.

Do you have never worked in 5 years
I’ve been a customers for five years, I have to say that the international phone calls are the only reason I keep staying with them because nothing else works. Customer support is absolutely awful, and on top of that “short messages” are not supported! so when my pharmacy says you’re drugs are ready I cannot neither answer!
If for some reason I subscribe to sort short message service I can either cancel it, it’s absolutely ridiculous! The only thing that saves me, is that I have an eSim with another provider in the same phone.
Regarding the app I’ve never seen it working in the past five years neither ones. If you’re lucky is going to take 10 attempts to login in order to see your account
from there no way that you can buy or renew the plan so I always done it through my computer.
In conclusion if you need like me international phone calls so badly keep it! But that one is the only reason this company makes sense!

We submitted a port in on Nov 13. The number was ported out of my existing carrier to lyca. But the number has not been activated by lyca for till date. I have been following up everyday with lyca customer service with nearly 12 reference tickets but no solution. This has been my worst experience.

After downloading new app it doesn’t allow me to login. It says to select country but there is no option for selecting the country also there is no language option to select. Better you update your app again.

I m using Lycamobile for call to my home country. But the App is horrible. I can’t use it without having unnecessary buffering, options become greyed out. Sometimes I m failed to top up or buy any plans.

This app is the worst. It keeps freezing when you want to add data or money for international calls , it doesn’t allow me. It actually keeps blacking out and coming back on unnecessarily. So I use what’s app or bitmo instead. This is crap of an app!

Most probably the worst service ever experienced, I waited 13 days for a phone recharge. They had no idea how to do it, they had no physical place to go in SF, every retailer store I went to told me they dropped them because it is the worst service possible.

TOTAL Waste of time
Reluctantly download it it only let me enter the phone number and that’s about it, don't bother. It gives an SSL error and doesn’t acknowledge the language/ country and can only force close it, and that’s probably the best feature of the app, that’s to close it out

You guys might as well delete this off the App Store, after so long the loading speed issue has not been resolved at all. The only update this app got was a new look not only that there are still bugs. You literally have to close and open the app multiple times to get anywhere.

I just found out that my number can not respond to a short text message from PayPal! Why do you not warn me about this when I buy a sim card, when I recharge. Why do not you report it when I buy a sim card or top up my balance? Because of you I can not make a payment by PayPal.

I’m getting all these funny pop-ups saying this app is unsecure or someone may be hacking my info. What’s all this about? I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and now I can’t even enter what country I’m in. Now completely using my phone service blindly.. Please fix your app ASAP!

So, i use Lyca already 3 yrs, and i gotta say, that application has never worked normally, no matter how good is my connection, the app can never load info on the screen. Neither to see balance, neither to purchase new monthly plan... idk why its so hard to make simple app to work... really a shame to Lyca mobile...

Nothing ever really works
I use this app to manage the data I have left and hopefully to recharge, but every time I log into the app it takes years to load. And when it does, nothing actually loads. The main page pops up with my info half the time, and when I try to recharge or view other plans, nothing ever loads. Just a plain white screen or a plain blue screen.

Need to fix the bug!
I have been using Lyca network for the past one month. Signal and coverage are good for the price given. But the mobile app is too bad. Always showing ‘API is temporarily disabled’. It works once in a blue moon. Can’t able to check the data used and recharge through mobile app. Developers! Please fix this bug. And the 2 stars is for the user interface which is not bad.
