Disappointing Lack of Support in Obtaining a New Student Advisor
As a student striving to excel in my academic pursuits, I have been met with immense disappointment and frustration due to the lack of assistance in securing a new student advisor at LYCEUM COLLEGE.
For nearly a year now, I have diligently sought out a replacement advisor, recognizing the crucial role they play in guiding and supporting students through their educational journey. Despite my repeated requests and efforts, the college has failed to provide any meaningful assistance or resolution to this matter.
One of the most disheartening consequences of this oversight is the hindrance it poses to my academic progress. While I was granted permission to add an additional subject to my studies, I have been unable to initiate the process due to the absence of a student advisor. This has left me feeling stranded and unsupported, unable to make advancements in my education.
The lack of responsiveness and support from the college administration has not only impeded my academic endeavours but has also fostered a sense of disillusionment and disconnection from the institution. As a student, I had hoped for a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to learning and growth. However, the current situation has left me feeling neglected and abandoned.
I urge the college administration to take immediate action to rectify this situation and provide the necessary support in assigning me a new student advisor. It is imperative that students receive the guidance and assistance they require to thrive academically and achieve their goals.

Firstly, no responds on emails or answer calls after weeks/months even a year, after that they going to tell the module/course you applied is expired.
Secondly, Lyceum not keep their promises as provided to students. The service is very poor due to changes of the staff/employers every time. There is always new staff/new person working there without no information/needs to help students/inquiries.
thirdly, the finance department are up to date to follow ups on outstanding payments, nor check statement. if they have to refund, you will wait forever.
Recommendation: I am not going to recommend any future customer due to what i experienced with the service received from this college.

My account was unlawfully charged after I had settled it in December. The clerk that I dealt with is Tyara Maharaj, Durban branch. My account is currently on negative. The team continues to force me to go to the bank and reverse the debi check despite the fact that the bank has stated that the creditor must refund me and that this is not a normal debit order but a debi-check mandate.
Even worse, I've been told that processing the query will take a long time due to the clerk's incompetence. I want Lyceum to know that my children are going hungry right now, and my account is onminus; someone will have to pay for it!

Hi have been inquiring about my graduation status. There were problems with unallocated marks for 3 of my subjects. According to me, I have finished my course, all relevant information needed to correct the errors have been sent through several months ago. I am emailing all relevant parties continuously, asking to confirm if everything has been sorted and when I will receive my results and graduation information. To date this has not happened. I have also informed all relevant parties, that I will be lodging a complaint with the department of Higher education as this is unacceptable. I just want to know if they have managed to allocate my marks as I have passed all my subjects, all other fees requested from me have been paid (that I was not aware of) there was an exemption that was to be loaded that they never did when I enrolled years ago and even after all of this, they have still failed to give me a straight answer despite the numerous emails sent.
Desired outcome: I would like to find out when I will be getting my results and when my graduation ceremony will be.

Blocking my daughter from submitting her on line exam after writing.
My Daughter was writing an on line exam on Thursday 12 October 2023. When she was trying to submit her exam the college decided to block her. They sent an email to say her portfolio is locked. I tried calling the school. I sent emails with no assistance. I then decided to go there physically only to find that on that day there is no electricity. We had a verbal agreement with the college that as soon as the electricity is fixed they will unblock my daughter and also accept her exam because it is not her fault. But they never did as agreement my daughter is still blocked and she is supposed to write again tomorrow. I have paid the.school fees in full in January.
Desired outcome: To please accept my daughter's exam answer sheets as per the verbal agreement done in their office. And also unblock her.
Service of getting an academic record
I studied at lyceum from 1996 to 1999. I graduated in year 2000. The college can't provide me with an academic record for the qualification: senior primary education diploma. The certification was awarded by rand afrikaans university, which was the examining body in which lyceum had affiliated. It's been 3 months, waiting. I paid r150 on the 29th of june 2023, as per their instruction. I've sent several emails, with a response that's negative. Kindly help. I need it for job application. I wrote exam on 31 may 2023 I was trying to upload it I uploaded the taxation assignment instead of MGM3226N exam I've tried to inform them via email and call they said they can't assist me they will mark the one is uploaded and their invigilator app wasn't work for me I've tried to whatsup them they said they can't assist me I was supposed to scan the code around 2.Am which they wasn't tell us about scanning time .but when coming to our money they give us notice before time we getting paid and they even call.can you please solve this issue for me.

Customer service and study platform not fixed
In November of 2022 I enrolled with Lyceum College. I paid my enrollment fee. I waited a month before I received my student portal credentials only after the first installment was paid. I registered on the portal but know study guides and other necessary information was provided. I again contacted the college. Emails were sent to the technical team about three times. I received not assistance from the college.In February I told the student advisor I want to cancel my enrollment. She said I must just cancel my debit order. I followed her advice. Soon after I received a message that threatens me with legal actions if I do not pay my installments. How can I pay for studies if I did not even study and received assistance. I called the accounts department numerous times already. This college either needs to close down or do a revamp if they are legit. You are destroying students dreams and future with these lies and no remorse. The students work hard for their money and this is how you show your respect. I am happily enrolled with another institution right now and Lyceum have a long way to go before they reach this level.

Refund for service not received
in May, June of 2022, I spoke to Precious Moya to which I applied with her and was approved, provided details to my bursary office at work top make payments. I wen on maternity leave in July 2022 before payments where made and was informed of payments that where made 6 months later. I emailed the college to find out why they did not inform me and was advised the company did not use my student number to pay however they used my ID. I then requested to start my studies and I was infirmed to send again documents. when I did, I was informed they were old. I have moved too many times to which my documents went missing. I then requested a cancelation and a refund. I spoke to Lebohang around the 4th of July 2022 to which she requested all documents from the company and was provided. till today I have not received anything. she advised me the funds will be paid back to the company. she no longer picks up my calls nor reply to any of my emails. this is money I need to pay back the company for a service I never received from the college. I want this money back.

I have been looking for my relevant academic record since last year October .I have paid the R150 because I had 1 module that I had to finish , so I got the academic record but it said that I have CUR 3427 and EDP 3427 which I had already wrote those exams so now I have been waiting for them to fix the CUR but no response yet and the EDP unfortunately they say they never even saw that I was online when it was exam time . My 3 Year Traffic Metropolitan Police Diploma
I Have done the RPL process with Lyceum at Observatory Metro Police College in Cape Town, and now i am informed that the subjects that was exempted were not captured on the system and i have to pay for exemptions fees for those subjects and still have to do an interview. However there are now no response from the Headoffice. The contract agreed to at the start of this Diploma have been completed by me and Lyceum are now keeping this qualification from me.

Exams, assigment and MCQ's
I have been submitting my assignments and MCQ's for all my subjects for twi years in a row now for my second year. Every time before the exam, when I ask for my exam timetable, I get the response of either my assignments or my MCQ's have not been submitted. After receiving this feedback, I would log onto the portal, and I can not see any of the things that I have submitted. I get no answer from lyceum to resolve this. All my emails keeps on being forwarded to the next person and no one responded to help me. When I call I have to keep the line untill finally the line cuts off still with no response or feedback on how to resolve this issue. I am fed up with lyceum now. Been doing a three year diploma for the last five years because they keep messing my things up.

I have been headhunted by the school principal from the school worked with, so I asked the lyceum to please mark my portfolio so I can register for my sace certificate so I can apply for the job post. Awaiting refund since 2020
Good morning
In December 2020, I paid up my lyceum student account, but I did not stop my debit order at the College. I waited 3 months as I thought that the college will automatically give me a refund. On 5 March 2021, I send a query to the finance department , Lebohang, replied to my email, that all my documents have been submitted, and that there will be a delay in payments.
It is now almost 22 Months later and I am still awaiting for the finance department to process my refund.
I am being send from pillar to post and all I want is my money back.
I don't now where to from here.
