Lyft Very unsatisfactory experience with driver

This morning, (1-29-22) I had a scheduled pickup for a ride to my job at 7:35a.m by my driver Veronica. She accepted and arrived promptly. Upon arriving I had seen in GPS it was directing her to turn down a dead end street. I contacted her immediately and assured her I’ll walk over, no problem, be there in only two minutes as my house was very close. Upon arrival of our meet she hastfully rolled her window down and said to me “I’m sorry! I cannot pick you up! I’m going to be late picking up a client in Brownsville and you need to have picked a better route!”

I was shocked and confused to hear this! She picked up my request and arrived and my anticipation to arrive to work was shattered! Veronica pulled off and left me there.

Totally taken back what happened, I immediately called another ride to be TEN minutes LATE for my job because of Veronica. Very unprofessional! As of right now I had a hold on my Visa card payment of 17.99 for that ride and I hope I’m not charged for the ride I never got and never canceled on my behalf.

I hope this driver doesn’t do this to anyone else.

Desired outcome: Not charged for the ride accepted but Veronica and further suspension/and or retraining from Lyft.

Lyft Left ride I was never picked up but charged

If I could give zero stars for my most recent experience I would. The driver drove 2 blocks down from me and then activated the ride. I text him as he literally drove past my location per the map. I asked how is it he was allegedly transporting me since I was still waiting for him at the restaurant, NO response. He "dropped" me off and collects the fee of course. I immediately dispute the charge and OF COURSE lyft immediately without reaching out to me send an automated message that they could find NOTHING inaccurate about the ride and therefore wouldn't issue refund. I had my cousin with me who ordered another lyft and witnessed this whole ordeal. How convenient that Lyfts drivers can claim they picked you up just drive to your "destination" claim they dropped you off and take the fees. How wonderful Lyft approves and supports fraudulent transactions and does NOTHING about it! This took place Friday January 21, 2022 for "pickup" 9:11 pm and "drop off" 9:23 pm in Denver Colorado, drivers name Ekelekana so travelers in Denver good luck you get this lying thief.

Lyft Driver never picked me up

Hello o 1/20/2022 at around 320PM I ordered a pick at 4635 East Ave S #C101 Palmdale Ca with destination to 1155 Auto Mall Dr Lancaster CA
At 322PM I received a text that my ride would be at my pick up point in 3 minutes and to look out for a Burgundy Honda Insight, I went out right away and waiting 10 minutes he never showed or even called to ask were I was and immediately received a text that I missed my ride and would be charged an additional $5.00. At the same time I received a text from the driver "John" asking were I was trying to explain I was outies at the Keller Williams office next to Starbucks. but again he never showed. Because of this I was late to pick up my car, now I dont have a vehicle for work.

Lyft Ride to airport

Scheduled a Lyft ride from Gig Harbor, WA to SeaTac airport @ 1:15 PM. Got notification 1 hour before P/U to be ready @ 1:15. Got another note @ 1:00 that driver was nearby ….. then it began searching for a driver on app, and finally at 1:30 told me driver would be there in 25 minutes. We missed our flight! Terrible service! What is the point of scheduling a ride 24 hours in advance and then having a no show! This sucks

If you ever develop a technical issue with the lyft app, that's it, game permanently over - if you can't play, you can't pay.

My screen comes up, shows me where I'm at, but won't ask where I want to go anymore.

My biggest problems have been with drivers who don't speak English. There is a new and Spanish only speaking community here. It seems a pride in language and a refusal to speak English. There is an arrogance towards me, a complete turn off of any English they know, and a dislike or disgust towards me, the English speaking person. No greeting, no goodbye, no thanks. And they truly don't understand what's going on with my ride, where I'm going, that I need to get back home. Twice I have been left at unsafe locations when my trip was roundtrip to get me home. The once I had to walk (I have disabilities) to a business I know, crossing lanes of busy traffic when I walk very slow, to get a ride home. A $5.00 credit for my troubles doesn't nearly cover the pain, my troubles, the poor owner of the place who left his work at seeing the state of me to drive me home. I have many more examples of lost communication through language. In my Lyft profile, they should ask me my language, or preferred language. Match me to an English speaking American.

My last and newest complaint is being charged 3 times for the same ride on December 24. Their charge kept changing, too. $9.99, $10.79, $11.24. All of these held against my available balance at my bank. I got an email that said something like, We now put all your rides in one day into a single charge. All my rides were only one ride. There's no way to Talk to Lyft to explain something more than their little boxes. $35 held for incoming charges on a $10 ride. They finally charged me, different amounts again for 1 ride and the $10 79 still unavailable to spend for me, because their one charge didn't match one of the pending charges. Careless and irresponsible use of my debit card. I want to only pay cash now.

Desired outcome: Changes to their policies, People in voice to coordinate complex problems and give quick responses, English speaking drivers for English speaking riders, dino immediately put a hold on my account, don't group rides together

Lyft Lyft gps

My drivers were great so no holding them accountable. But Everytime I need to go to work I get taken to the wrong location even though i put
the right address.And on top of that i always have to pay more due to that and I cant afford to be paying more.Like today my lyft driver and me got thrown off because the lyft gps took us to the middle of nowhere, Thats extra time that was wasted and I was already was running late for work due to no availability at 9 am i would have to pay 45 dollars to get to my job which is only 13 mins away from my pick up location.It has happened already multiple times .Conclution Its NOT fair at all,
I lost money and time unfairly.And I will escalate and take this further if I need to. Its ridiculous its time and money lyft is robbing me and their own drivers that took me where is the logic in that.My Poor driver had to turn off the lyft app put that he dropped me off and take me to the right location which was 15 more minutes away.

Lyft Never receiving refunds for canceled rides

I was never refunded for 4 rides that I cancelled in a 1 or 2 day time period. The rides all cost between 65 and 70 dollars for a total of 260.00 dollars. Lyft has told me to checked with my bank. They will hold it 2-7 business days. Lyft says that money is never fully taken and they kick it right back to your bank if you cancel.

I called my bank. They dont hold money. They told me that they would not hold any money regardless. It has been more then 2 full weeks now. I would like to know what happened. If you say the money was put back on my card. Can you show me proof of this? The rides do not appear in my ride history anymore. The rides are from the the week of 11/15-11/19.

Lyft Lyft suspending my account on thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day, Wednesday 11-25-2021 in the afternoon, I placed a request for a Lyft car to pick me up from 15 august street irvington new jersey. I take lyft rides often to work. So when he pulls up I'm already outside mask on, ready to hop in. When the grey or silver Honda rolls up he seemed distracted. He never stops and just keeps moving and pulls off leaving me there dumb founded on what just happened. This has never happened to me before so I was confused and a little humiliated. Next minute, I get an alert that my ride was cancelled by the driver. Im like why would he do that, unless he saw the destination and didn't wanna take that 30-45 minute ride to NYC. My family's gathering was in New York City. My mother and father were gonna be there together for the 1st time in years. Both in there 80's along with the rest of my family, The first time together pre-covid. It was especially gonna be special this year as my father was diagnosed with Covid19 in Aug but beat it so everybody was there to celebrate. Now I'm mad but like OK, let me deal with this later, I just need to get there. Just call another lyft ride. I then get another message from lyft my account is blocked for 24 hours because of a violation of mask wearing policy. So it seems, the driver cancelled the ride, tried to cover his [censored] and report he didn't stop and cancelled because I violated the mask policy. I am now on 1000 now. Absolutely Furious. I spent a lot of money with lyft and been loyal with all the competition spending hundreds of dollars and never had a complaint before that i was aware. Lyft suspended my ability to ride on the worst day possible, THANKSGIVING DAY. I always have a mask on, always. I am vaccinated. s lie. Now I'm left scrambling, upsetting my family and friends. Im so upset and cant believe this just happened on Thanksgiving Morning. I try to get in contact with lyft customer service and that a joke, You cant, it was a message answering service who can do nothing for you. Seemed robotic and out of touch and I felt like he was outsourced overseas. My mother and father were worried and there both too old for any uncalled aggravation. I knew that i was gonna let everyone I know about what happened and file formal complaints with every agency available. Alert my girlfriends city councilman dad and his city hall friends and have placed on Social Media. What happened, was uncalled for, unprofessional and and lyft should be embarrassed and have to make better decisions on who they hire as drivers. I can only imagine how many times he's done that before and got away with it. But he got the right one this time. I guarantee he did. I need that driver fired immediately, I need to be refunded, I need a formal apology and a resolution now.

Lyft Lift

My friend and I took a Lift on Saturday night. I must have dropped my glasses in the car. My friend is the one that ordered the Lift. The driver never responded whether she found them or not. Lyft Falsely accused

Yesterday on 10/25/21 @ 2:03 pm a LYFT driver named Freyda in San Antonio, Texas falsely accused my son of urinating in her front seat after he was dropped off from sitting in the back seat of her car. All she did was put in the claim and sent a picture of the "damage" that I'm sure was already there because of her filthy vehicle. Lyft has failed to further investigate and basically let her steal from a customer by charging him $94 on top of his $15 charge. They only went based off of the picture that did not show him doing it nor did it show him in the car at any point. They are only going by him being the last person she dropped off. What baffles me is that if this was the case why weren't the cops involved for indecent exposure? Or why wasn't a picture or video taken of him in this so called "act"? Why was there not a receipt showing the cost to clean the "damage". How is Lyft going to just go off of a random amount and let her continue to drive for them? He is just a 19 year old young man that needed a ride to work for a graveyard shift! There is no decent customer support in this business which is very disappointing! My son's request# [protected].

Lyft Lyft Ride

This email is to express my concern for the charges of two recent lyft rides.
I ordered a Lyft on two separate occasions, both were for the same location however, I was further away from the location on September 4 at 6:10am and was charged less and the second time I was very close to the location and was charged more. My question is why was I charged so much more when I was a lot closer to the location than the first ride? I have attached both of the ride reports for your review. I use Lyft often as transportation to work and I try to get closer to the location as possible to save money. I'm requesting a partial refund for the second ride that was taken on September 25 at 6:49 am.

Lyft Drivers canceling rides last minute after you've paidfor a time of dropoff

I am a mother of a late teenage son whose car broke down and I called a lyft and I was told for the price/driver I would be charged in a certain pickup time. The original driver canceled on my sons ride last minute and he was re assigned a new driver that didn't pick him up until 25minutes after his original quoted timeframe. He had to sit outside in a very unsafe area of town alone waiting for the new driver, who was very helpful, to pick him up! Yet lyft does NOTHING to adjust your rates or refund you extra cash paid to have a faster pickup time!

Desired outcome: He was picked up almost 30minutes later which is unacceptable

Lyft Driver: Stacy / Toyota Corolla / TCC4639

Mr. Stacy he parked on the other side of the road, in the rain, I had to wait for a car to go by to get to his car. His radio was very loud, I asked if he can turn it down to make a quick call. He said "no, this is my radio and this is how I listen to the radio while I'm driving". I asked him to take us home, he said "no, either he take us to the destination or get out of his car." He said he would take us to the police station. I agreed. He did not, but stop and made us get out of the car. This is my first Lyft and unacceptable.
I could not even hear the help office because he kept turning his radio louder.

Desired outcome: Pay my money back, and reprimand the driver for being cruel.

Lyft Complaint about the driver to rude

This guy picks up today and get in to his car after couples minutes driving he told me I will cancel your ride I say why he said no I just cancel when I was all ready in the car for no reason I said fine when I get out he point me a finger to my face car was Toyota RAV4 tags. Lyft Lost and Found

Yesterday (912/2021) I summoned a Lyft ride at Clark & Drummond in Chicago, IL. I left my cell phone in the Lyft car a little after 8 am. An hour or so later, I realized that I had left my phone in the car. Yesterday afternoon I filed a request ([protected]) with the Lyft Lost and found service and expected the driver or Lyft to contact me -- using my email address: [protected]@aol.com. Lyft acknowleged my request and advised it was contacting the driver. I have not heard from the driver.
Also, Lyft seems to have no record of my account, although I was able to summon a Lyft ride via the app on my phone.
I did have a minor dispute with the driver over my destination. Somehow, his information indicated that my destination was only about 25 yards from where he picked me up. I remember I had distinctly typed my destination into the request for a Lyft ride - (Addison & Southport, Chicago, IL). When I wanted to pay, the driver said it was done automatically -- and I specifically asked about a tip as well and he said that was done automatically as well. I still have not received an email receipt for my ride. I fear that the driver may have simply wiped this ride and my account out. If so, I am outraged. I do not use Lyft often, but if I cannot get satisfaction on my phone loss, it will be the last Lyft ride I ever take.
In communicating with Lyft yesterday, I discovered they had no record of my account (which I have had for a number of years. The email for the Lyft app in my phone may have been my Facebook email address {[protected]@gmail.com). Please advise as to what is being done about my request and my account. I can best be reached at my email that I used everyday -- [protected]@aol.com. I lived at 600 W. Drummond Pl Apt. #316 in Chicago, IL 60614). Lyft Your stance on Texas abortion law.

I recently saw a representative of yours on CNN standing up against Texas new abortion law. It it very surprising that on one hand, you are for a women's right to abort a new life, but you use CNN as your platform, who "EXPECTS" everyone to get a vaccine to keep them alive. Do you also support CNN"s view on the vaccine? Very confusing. Because if a women has a right to get an abortion, doesn't she also have the right to get or not to get a vaccine? I would really love to hear the answer on CNN, or any other news outlet.

Lyft Donations

Reading the commitment by Lyft to donate to Planned Parenthood and give free services had them stepping way over the line... Been removed from all six of the phones in my family. May your business suffer! Instead give free rides to treatment centers or offer children rides to school or elderly to doctors visits. Do something productive instead of murderous.

Lyft Lost and found

On August 13th 2021 my friend and I were in the lift car we left luggage in the trunk and have tried in all the normal ways that lift has given us had to contact the driver the driver has not contacted us and my friend lost all his belongings in this one short trip which we don't understand how it is possible that somebody could get away with this even though Lyft says that they are not responsible they still play a part and then they keep you from being able to contact the driver directly they hold the keys to this solving this problem and they do nothing they tell us they're gonna contact us they don't contact us it's ridiculous

Desired outcome: I want the driver contacted and I want my friends belongings retrieved from the trunk of the car

Lyft Referral bonus

I was guaranteed 750$ for a referral bonus I never received they keep transferring and being rude I have made several attempts to contact management no response I keep getting pushed off! My referral completed it on August 26 2021
