Gold coin scam of 2% as value addition of 4 gram coin
My sister have went to malabar gold and diamonds of koramangala branch to buy a gold pendant of 1.080 grams which is mentioned as 15% as value addition which is they given finalised price of Rs.7439.00. Which is more value of 1 gram gold. As on today's (17th Jan 2024) price is Rs.5770. They asked me without gst extra Rs.1492.81. So, we decided to not purchase this pendent. Next we moved on to gold coins of 4 grams. As per regulations malabar should not take any value addition for gold coins, but they charged 2% as value addition. We are blind on this situation. As per the emergency we bought the that coin including 2% Value addition. Which is a clear scam of malabar gold and diamonds. We need a claim on that 2%. Will attach the evidences for your references.

Gold scheme false promise
False promise:
I enrolled to Malabar Gold Scheme 11 months and completed it; I was promised of 18% discount on making charges. Whereas upon completion I purchased jewelry from Vashi, Navi Mumbai, their calculation of discount was on the total amount including GST +. When I complained their supervisor he told me many customers have complained about our calculations, I have to follow my company calculation and he left the counter. Giving me the attitude of your money is with us, you are at our mercy.
Looking at their billing you can’t find anything wrong, as the amount smartly adjusted against other items.
Very bad deal. Suggest being very careful dealing with them and avoid taking any fooling scheme.

Gold scheme
No one told about the weighted gold Scheme. When I went to the store to ask that why they didn't mentioned/explained about the weighted gold Scheme, there is no proper explanation/reason for their mistake. we have completed the 7 months gold Scheme of 25000 per month. when we went to Malabar Gold and Diamonds Vijayawada branch, they told it has been 7 months already, so it is not possible to change the scheme. Not only this in the 2nd month also they said like it is not possible to change once paid/decided.
Feeling very unhappy with Malabar and Diamonds, Vijayawada branch
Thank you
Claimed loss: Amount(grams) of gold decreased
Desired outcome: Want to change the scheme

ON 5th June, 2023, I bought Gold necklace worth SR 19050 from Khobar branch KSA. At the same time, I gave 2 rings- an uncut diamond for refixing the stone, and a cut diamond for soldering. Unfortunately, instead of the cut diamond ring, I got another diamond ring of smaller size and of lighter weight. The uncut diamond was alright. We've been going back and forth to query about the ring for almost 5 months. Please take necessary actions ASAP.
ORIGINAL: [ diamond carat - 0.54
weight - 2.3 grams

WHAT WE GOT: [ total weight- 2.18 g ]
Claimed loss: The diamond ring's original price was SR 2250 as of 2010
Desired outcome: If not found, I'd like another ring of same structure. Or, you can refund me (including all the trouble I went through. I spent 5 months going back and forth querying about it. Loss of my time should be considered.
Waste of money buying from Malabar
I purchased one baby bracelet from Abudhabi Hamdan branch around 6.33grms, on 21.09.23. It was cutted within oneweek and I gave the purchased shop for repair. After somedays, I went for collection today (30.10.23) but issue is not resolved. As per them, its difficult to solder again.
Then I said, I dont want it, return my money. After some conversation, they accepted and reduced 4% from bill amount...
Is it good way to sale and rubbishing money from customer?
Public need to know thos kind of business in Socialmedia.

Read full review of Malabar Gold & DiamondsAbout the attitude of the executive Sudha which was extremely unpleasant
Visited Malabar gold Dallas today and after a long wait, I was called by the same executive sudha who attended me during my first visit. She provided the same unpleasant experience this time as well and her attitude was not polite but sounded arrogant which will really pause any customers to buy jewels. I thought she behaved that way the first time when the store opened but even after 9 months of service her attitude remains the same. Request the administration to take necessary action.
Desired outcome: Either train her or better to switch her to team which do not involve customer rapport
Damage of gold ornaments necklace
We purchased a Gold Ornaments Necklace on 4th September in Malabar gold and diamonds in T-Nagar branch... From next day onwards the Necklace lacking damaged itself.. we contacted at the Malabar shop they said sorry we can't do anything but I can change locking and pay to GST again.
What the hell is this? We came to the shop based on quality that matters . But it's very ridiculous.

Ear studs
I bought a earring for my wife on 23.04.2022 from Malabar Stores at Vashi, Navi Mumbai costing 26466.32 (incl. GST) for 22 Carat 4.02 gm with making charges @ 19.90%.
This particular ear stud has a protruded portion at the back which bruises both the ears and blood comes out even on the 2nd day of wearing. Evident faulty design noticed by us and we took up to the store manager Ms. Kinzal on 11.06.23. She saw this and the goldsmith @ the store acknowledged this defect as well, but could not return stating this could have been done within 7 days which we failed to do as we were out of station. I also explained, its a faulty design and hence of no use for me or anyone else who would have bought this. The mistake is on the part of the Company for making such faulty design and eventually selling a defective piece to consumers.
Finally the lady could convince me for repairing of this ornament.
Its a clear case of consumer harassments and we condemn this strongly to avoid such recurrences in future to other misfortune consumers like me.
Desired outcome: Refund the entire price not the gold cost
A diamond ring purchased in December 2022
Dear Sir/Mam,
I had purchased a diamond ring along with few other jewellery items ( 2 gold necklaces, 2 gold rings and 1 diamond ring) on 21st November 2022, as it was a marriage occasion in the house. One of the rings from my purchased items got stolen and I had filed an FIR against that. I have the FIR copy.
The ornament that was stolen, was stolen from our house premises where it was kept with utmost care and in safe custody all the time along with a few other jewelry items.
As I know, the jewellery bought from Malabar also comes with an insurance of a year ( we have got this insurance), but I have been refused to claim the insurance amount . It was a case of robbery at our premises, an FIR for which was filed and attached along with the report filed to claim the insurance for the stolen ring.
Firstly while continuously asking for a response from Malabar team I was always refused/ denied of a response against my claim.
Secondly, it was not the only jewelry that we bought from Malabar which got insurance, rather we purchased a lot more items as it was an occasion of marriage in the house (Myself). So it was not the only item that we had at our home, rather we had a couple more things which were kept in the same cupboard from where the ring was stolen. And for us, that's the safest place in our house where only the family members have access to open and close these cupboards. Obviously if we didn't consider it safe we wouldn't be keeping all our expensive things in that cupboard. Nobody wants to lose their belongings. Well, I guess that's why people get insurance because we never know what might happen in the future.
Moreover as per the insurance policy (please find in the attachment ) it is clearly mentioned any product/piece of jewelry stolen should be reported and have an FIR.
Therefore, I kindly request you to reconsider your decision on this matter.
Kind Regards
Aanchal
Desired outcome: Denied insurance claim against the stolen ornament
Selling back my gold bars
Today I attempted to sell back my gold that I purchased from Malabar and had a terrible experience. The employees at the Ras al Khor branch in Dubai are extremely rude and uncooperative. They refused to contact the manager and just seemed to care less about my issue. The problem was that they were unwilling to pay cash for the gold that they were all too happy to take cash for. They wanted to send it directly to my bank account of which I don't have the account number or IBAN memorized. Anyone experienced driving around Dubai after work will understand what a pain it was to get there just to have the guy rub and fondle my gold bars for 15 minutes then weigh them all up and come up with a value just to tell me they did not pay out in cash. Anyway, I gave them 2 stars because the buying experience (at a different but closed branch) was better and respectful.
Desired outcome: Just to let others know what to expect from Malabar!

Fraud, cheating, dishonesty Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Al Khor St - Dubai
We contacted Mr Sai @Malabar informing him that we like to collect the earring at the price AED 37,250 that Malabar offered. Mr Sai was happy he gave us the option to drop off the jewelry at our cousin's home or hotel. We requested a meeting at our cousin's home in Al Karama, Dubai at 8:30pm Dubai time. We (my wife, 2 kids and I) dropped were going to see a drone show, fireworks, and dinner before heading to the airport but we decided to pickup the jewelry (our flight back to Detroit, MI (USA) was on Dec 27th night). We contacted Mr Sai @Malabar again around 4-5pm and said instead of delivery at home, we would like to come to the shop at Malabar, Al Khor St - Deira to pick up. Obviously, Mr Sai was very happy. Since we had plans for the evening, we requested him to complete all the formalities so that pickup will be quick and smooth, we told him we do not want any surprises so make sure everything is ready. He asked us to share a copy of the passport which we did. We reached Malabar Gold & Diamonds, 72 Al Khor St by 6:20pm. Mr Sai already informed the salesman, he was waiting for us. He showed us the diamond earring that we picked (I can share entire details including weight, making charges, VAT, etc), he asked him to confirm the price again, he said it is confirmed AED 37,250, he told us that Mr Sai got approval from 6-7 people including the head of UAE before giving us the final price. He even said this is a very good price that Mr Sai offered. They gave GIA certification, they wanted us to make sure we are satisfied with the purchase before they can do billing. We accepted the item and gave our credit card, they charged AED 37,250 on December 27, 2022 at 7:03 pm (we have a credit card receipt that was approved and signed by me that we can share) . They asked us to wait as they will create an invoice and give us the paperwork to claim VAT. All was good until now. Here is when dishonesty and unethical business practices started. In short, Malabar offered a price, we agreed on the price, and we PAID fo the item. That means item is officially ours. We waited patiently for over 1 hour for them to give us the receipt and item (after we paid FULL amount). After a prolonged wait Mr Mujeeb (Manager of the location, phone +[protected]), comes to my wife and told her that we have to pay AED 10,000 on top of AED 37,250 that we already paid. He says he cannot give it at the price they agreed and WE ALREADY PAID. This was disrespectful and unethical. We told him that we already paid and technically the item belongs to us. BUT he refused to give it unless we pay him more money. He offered me that he can void the transaction (if we do not want to pay more) or he can give us cash AED 37,250. We were very upset & my 10-year-old daughter started crying knowing about the misbehavior from Malabar (after we spend 2.5 hours of our precious time on the day of travel, we were left with no time to shop around and buy the anniversary gift). I told him that I can talk with his supervisor, etc. BUT he just refused, I told him that he wasted 2.5 hours of our time and requested him to be fair. It was a mental trauma for all of us. We walked out of their shop with a great deal of disappointment and grief.
Lies and misleading information
To Whom It May be Concern to
I am writing to complain about how I was misled by your outlet in Avenue Mall Muscat Oman I visited your outlet shop on 14/4/2016 and brought two rings and 1 pair of rings gold and diamonds, but I was not provided with accurate information.
The sales associate told me that the if ever I would like to exchange the items or would like to sell them
I would get minimum dedication max 10 % on the current value date of the items which I have purchased, but when I took it to get it appraised on 14/02/2023 I was told to wait till Saturday 16/02/2023 morning as it was evening and their office is closed and there don't have the details in their record for more than 1 Year, I was annoyed but did what I was told, I waited till the afternoon 16/02/2023 but no one called me back on the matter, So I called to find out, the person who had picked up my call (Soumya) had no clue on the matter. After a number of calls from both sides someone named (Harish) called me back, asking me to bring the items as there still didn't get the information. and they will call someone to get the details.
I reached the outlet again and I asked them if I would like to sell them as they don't have a replacement for what I wanted., What there told me I was shocked really surprised and angry still I kept my cool. They informed me if I wanna exchange I will get 80% of the value of the items (rings and ears ring)
and only we only will get 70% cash on the invoice amount and we will lose 30 %, I was really disappointed knowing such a multinational company like Malabar Gold heir such cheaters that would betray the customers of
there hard earn money and valuables with false information so that they can meet their targets.
The problem is why customers should get only 70% of the cash value of the items purchased from the same outlet on the invoice I would understand if it was from somewhere else because the gold value has not gone down but rather gone up since 2016. I calculated I would lose around close to 50% on the current value.
This is not acceptable and as a customer, I feel we have been robbed of our hard earn money and the value of the
item. I would be escalating this matter if required to the highest level if required
And sorry to say if required will take legal action against the company for causing mental pressure because of misleading and cheating me, of great value which is already paid by me.
I look forward to hearing from you all soon. for a resolution of the same.
PS: I can be contacted on +[protected]

False complaint of thief and reputation assassination of a privileged customer
Dear team,
I have been harassed and my reputation has been put to dogs by your Malabar store team phoneix pune.
They have put an unwanted complaint on me of theft of a gold bangle from the store. I have already told the team 1000 times that the bangle is not with me and still was cooperating with the team. But today my reputation is put to stake when the manager sheetal dugal went to police station and logged a theft complaint on me which is completely baseless. I am a privilege customer of your store and I have been shopping form your store since years.
It’s highly disappointed and disheartening that you people donot trust your customers who come to buy stuff of lakhs.
My reputation has been put up dogs. I have not given any rights to anyone to play with my reputation. There is a way to handle customers. You people have played with my sentiments. I need a written apology from the team as it’s completely unacceptable. Every customer is important. Like this no one can point a finger on anyone’s reputation. If I can refer your brand to my people I can give negative publicity as well to your brand. You may be a big brand but a small negative review can also spoil your brand of image.
When I am saying that your product is not with me so it’s not with me. Your people need to understand. On that day I purchased gold and diamond worth a lakh. I need a written apology.
Ms sheetal dugal has crossed her limits by going to the police and giving an complaint for a product which is not with me which I have told your people 1000 times. We are customers not thieves and we buy product as our pocket allows us. Keep it in mind.

My reputation has been put on stake.
Is this the way to treat a customer who buys gold and diamond from your brands worth lakhs.
I am very much disappointed and highly annoyed.
