We got our second Mandalay Homes crib and we dig it even more than the first one
We got our second Mandalay Homes crib and we dig it even more than the first one. The layout is hella roomy and the outside look is not like the usual stuff you see around here. We're stoked as hell.
I luv my new home!
I luv my new home! The qualitee is amazin' and I'm so stoked to have solar panels and clean air inside. My energy bills are so low, it's crazy! The sales peeps are awesome and the construction team really gave a crap about makin' everything just right. Can't wait for many happy years here : )
I'm so happy with Mandalay Homes
I'm so happy with Mandalay Homes. Our house is super quiet, even when they're building next door. That's how you know they do good work. Our energy bills are super low too, which is awesome. We've only had a few problems with the warranty, but it can take a bit to get things fixed because they're so busy. But when we need help, they're quick to respond and take care of us.
Mandalay Homes really messed up my first-time home buying experience
Mandalay Homes really messed up my first-time home buying experience. We bought our crib in December , but still don't know when we can move in. It's crazy that it's taking almost two years to build a *** sq foot house. I know times are tough, but we paid a lot of money for our home and there's no excuse for this. Their delay has cost us over $18,000 in rent and our mortgage has gone up by $500 due to interest rates. Bottom line, their homes are gorgeous, but unless you have tons of time and money to waste, go with another builder.
We signed up for a Mandalay Homes 706 house plan on Dec 28th, 2020
We signed up for a Mandalay Homes 706 house plan on Dec 28th, 2020. They promised to build it in 9 months to a year, but it's Aug 10, 2022, and we still don't have a house. They said they would give us a closing date once the cabinets were in, but even though the cabinets have been in for over two months, we still haven't heard anything. The floors and kitchen tile have been sitting in the garage since the cabinets arrived almost 3 months ago. The sales reps in the office don't seem to know anything. When we asked when our cabinets would arrive, *** said she had no idea. We drove by the house and saw all the cabinets sitting in boxes. They told us it was a labor storage issue, but they only had one person hired to put in cabinets, and he was just hired (and now I was told that he doesn't even work there anymore). They said it was a supply issue, but I don't believe that anymore. I've seen many apartments and other homes start, finish, and now have people living in them. I've watched the two houses across the street from me go up after me, and now their houses have cabinets, flooring, driveways, and they will soon move in. I don't blame these new neighbors at all! So, I don't think it's a supply issue anymore, if my product has been sitting in the garage for 3 months and hasn't moved! Now the interest rate has gone up, and our mortgage has gone up by an extra $400 a month because they have not lived up to their promise. We were able to lock in, but it expires on August 23, which is in 13 days, so now we are going to have to pay 1/2 point to keep it, because interest rates are supposed to go up again! I have lived in this apartment now for 2 Christmas' and two ***, I'm tired, I'm depressed, and I'm done.

We got a house from Mandalay Homes in Clarkdale Arizona in December
We got a house from Mandalay Homes in Clarkdale Arizona in December . The pandemic was happening and there were some issues during the walk through that needed fixing. Mandalay Homes said they would fix them, but only a few things were fixed after a month. I had to go to Arizona to finish the rest of the issues because people were moving in soon. I had to put in a deadbolt lock on the kitchen/garage door, remove a spot on the new carpet, touch up the interior walls, and put weather stripping on the front door. The bathroom shower door and patio screen doors were missing. I called Mandalay a lot and they said they would fix the issues, but they didn't. Mandalay put in the shower door 3 months after we closed, but they still haven't said anything about the screen doors and it's been 5 months since we closed. Mandalay hasn't talked to us.
We bought a new house from Mandalay Homes in August
We bought a new house from Mandalay Homes in August . But we've had a lot of problems since moving in. We didn't have hot water at first, and the Wi-Fi connection is really bad. Our Whirlpool oven has been fixed four times, but it still doesn't work. We paid over $5,800 for a gourmet kitchen, but we didn't get to choose our appliances like our neighbors did. We asked for a new oven or a different brand, but Mandalay won't do anything about it. The sales lady told us our utility bill would be under $100, but that's not true. Even the sign at the entrance says "Low utility fees," but that's a lie. Mandalay only puts six solar panels on houses from 1,400 to 2,500 square feet, but that's not enough. I talked to APS, Red Line Electric and Solar, and sonnen, and they all said I need at least four more panels. My electric bill keeps going up, and this month it's $234.07. Even APS said I shouldn't be paying that much. I told Mandalay, but they don't care. They're deceiving us. My neighbor behind me said he wouldn't have bought the house if he knew about all these problems. My wife calls it "the house from hell." We can't get good Wi-Fi, and the heating and cooling doesn't work well either. The installers came several times, but they couldn't fix it. All my neighbors pay less than $100 for utilities, but I pay a lot more. I also have water falling from the side of the patio and cracks on the walls, but Mandalay only fixes the cracks once, at 11 months.
