I had to get my Volvo towed from Niles to Kalamazoo on June 12th to get warranty service done by Maple Hill Automotive Group
I had to get my Volvo towed from Niles to Kalamazoo on June 12th to get warranty service done by Maple Hill Automotive Group. They wouldn't give me a loner car because they only give those to Subaru customers. They also wouldn't tell me when they could work on my car. I called on June 15th and they said they'd call me back to tell me what was wrong with the car, but they never did. I called again on June 16th and they said they probably wouldn't work on it until Friday or next week. They only have one warranty serviceman and they'll service their appointments first, so I have no priority at all. They said there's "no guarantee" they can work on my car. This was extremely rude and I've never been treated this way by any dealer in my 82 years of life. As a 100% disabled USMC military veteran, I need my car. I've had better treatment from the enemy. I contacted Volvo USA and they're going to relocate my car for me and get it serviced from a Volvo dealer with manners and proper service ability. Volvo USA is great.

Maple Hill messed up my car on purpose just to get more money out of me
Maple Hill messed up my car on purpose just to get more money out of me. They already got $9300 for a new engine, but they still wanted more. They're not to be trusted.
show at Maple Hill Auto Group
show at Maple Hill Auto Group. I mean, come on, how hard is it to find the keys to a car? And why advertise a car for sale if it's not even available? The salesman was too busy to give me the time of day, and the whole process took way too long. But, to be fair, the business manager with *** was helpful in getting the warranty sorted out. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Maple Hill Auto Group based on my experience.
I left my car at Maple Hill Auto Group to fix the center differential on April 10
I left my car at Maple Hill Auto Group to fix the center differential on April 10. The car was making a small clicking noise when turning at low speed, but it was running and driving fine. After 2 1/2 months, they returned the car to me with a metal on metal whining noise coming from the transmission. The car is now in a worse state than before I dropped it off and is undrivable. The dealership won't talk to me about the issue, and they haven't done anything to fix the problem. Now, I have a broken car in my driveway that they damaged.

This place doesn't care about u, they just want ur money
This place doesn't care about u, they just want ur money. Wen their techs do somethin wrong and u point it out, they get on defensive and argue. If u show that u r upset they will tell u to leave and refuse service. This has nothin to do with covid, I had an issue with this place b4 covid. They broke the transmitter for my vehicle and wen I pointed out that my car didn't lock anymore they tried to say that my key fob was broken b4 I came in, which it wasn't. They reluctantly order me a new one and then act like they were doin me a favor. Wen I had to come back for the third time I let them know I was unhappy and was treated poorly by ***, she is the service manager. So basically u have to take their crappy work and like it and if u don't then ur SOL. Do not bring ur car here, do not buy from here. This is the only way change can happen.
On September 1, my car's steering wheel airbag, middle, and back console deployed while I was driving, even though there was no impact
On September 1, my car's steering wheel airbag, middle, and back console deployed while I was driving, even though there was no impact. I thought it might be a wiring issue, so I decided to take it to Maple Hill Auto, who specialize in ***. I talked to the service manager and had it towed there for $120.00. The service manager told me when they would look at it. A couple of hours later, she called me and said they wouldn't work on my car because someone had been messing with it. I told her that no one had touched my car, and that the airbags and console deployed while I was driving. She was very rude and refused to let me speak to someone else. It's okay if they don't want to work on it, but they should pay to have it towed to another location.
Maple Hill Auto Group was a total disaster
Maple Hill Auto Group was a total disaster. They said they had the car I wanted and would have it in 3 days. I asked if they were going to check my credit and they said yes, but only once. I agreed and put down $2k. Then they called and said the car they thought they had was not new and had 1000K miles on it. They pulled 2 hard credit inquiries on my credit, one by Maple Hill and another by *** Finance. I've been with *** for 12 years and this was my 5th ***. Now they "couldn't find the car anywhere" so I worked with *** leaders to get what I wanted shipped. But then Maple Hill wanted to run my credit 2 more times, making it 4 hard credit inquiries. I can't believe how unethical they are.
I took my car to Maple Hill Auto Group for head gaskets and timing belt
I took my car to Maple Hill Auto Group for head gaskets and timing belt. They checked the whole car for free and found multiple problems. They said the top 2 priorities were head gasket/timing belt and back brakes. I said okay to the work. But they didn't start with the head gaskets. They did the brakes first. Now it seems like the head gaskets won't be fixed. So I told them not to do the work. But they said they already did the brakes. So now I owe $491.54 for brakes on a car that's not good to use. I didn't know they had to work on the primary issue first. If they had, I wouldn't have said okay to the brakes. I think they were careless and I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I talked to 3 different people and they all said I authorized it. That's true, but I thought they would do the head gaskets first.
I had a problem with Maple Hill Subaru charging me $220 for a service that was covered by my warranty company
I had a problem with Maple Hill Subaru charging me $220 for a service that was covered by my warranty company. They didn't report the issue and charged me for evacuating and recharging my AC unit, even though I gave them all the warranty information. They told me they submitted a claim on 4/17 and were waiting for coverage, but then called me on 4/20 to say my car was ready for pickup and charged me $270, including a $50 deposit for a recall repair. The warranty company wasn't notified of the AC repairs, even though Maple Hill Subaru knew about the concerns. They also didn't respond to my questions about the situation. I feel like they purposely took advantage of me for money. This isn't the first time they've scammed me either. The service manager admitted that their tech lied about my brake pad depths, so the dealership paid for both front end brake pads to be replaced. I have proof of this.
I went to Maple Hill Auto Group in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a routine oil change, brake inspection, and strut replacement on 05/21
I went to Maple Hill Auto Group in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a routine oil change, brake inspection, and strut replacement on 05/21. The car was working fine except for a noise under heavy braking. When I was called in to look at the brakes, I saw that the front brakes needed fixing. I said I would handle it and thanked them for looking. I picked up the car on 05/22 and paid $599.06. On the way home, I noticed something was wrong with the front end and the radio wasn't working (it had been working when I brought it in). My wife and kids drove the car on 5/23 and returned within 3 miles complaining of smoke in the cabin. My youngest was sick to her stomach. I saw grease all over the fenders and the cowl over the struts was broken. We returned the car to the dealer on 5/26, and the service manager accused me of trying to "swindle them out of a brake job." He didn't hear me say "it's not about the brakes." The wheels were smoking because the tech sprayed penetrating oil on them, which kills brake pads. The battery now has a parasitic draw and dies within 6 hours of a fresh charge. The radio died, and the dealer claims no fault. They cleaned the grease off the fenders but didn't fix anything else. I reached out to two managers with no reply, so I filed a complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com.
