To whom it may concern; My wife is currently a patient at Massachusetts General Hospital and she has been for several weeks now. The traumatic experience of witnessing what my wife went through and is still going through is incomprehensible. I have repeatedly requested updates of my wife's prognosis and most of my requests have been ignored. My wife's doctors have been very reluctant to keep me informed on a routine basis and frankly have been somewhat obstinate to say the least. This has created a great frustration and upsetting dilemma for me to say the least and when my discontent was obviously apparent in unintended upset tones of my voice in some of the requests that I made, I was met with hostility, rudeness, vicious bullying and a complete and total gang-like unprofessional cruelty and punishing treatment by some nurses who have exhibited a total and complete lack of empathy and understanding and caring human concern. I found this to be not only obnoxiously repulsive but also totally and completely unprofessional and contrary to the high complimenting general consensus and reputation that Massachusetts General Hospital maintains to the public. I also work in a hospital and in the medical facilities where I have worked we are taught and trained to treat patients and patients Loved ones and family members with the absolute utmost respect no matter what the situation and at no time ever, should Patient and their Loved ones ever, ever be treated with vicious hostility and hateful unkindness that literally borders on pure evil! Massachusetts General Hospital may be rated as one of the very best hospitals in the world but if my opinion really means anything at all, I would strongly suggest that the inhospitable attitudes of some of the doctors and nurses be seriously re-evaluated and perhaps ethical retraining should absolutely be included as well. In closing I would like, I would like to mention that my wife's condition is not improving to a point that will allow her to return home to me and her family. I have mentioned my negative experiences of hostile treatment by some of the nurses at Mass. General Hospital, to several people that I know and they are appalled that a person in my present crisis should even have to be subject to what amounts to nothing less than total and absolute unprofessional and completely immature pathetic cruelty and evil viciousness and the people that I have shared my negative experiences with are totally disgusted and their opinions of Massachusetts General Hospital are not at all flattering I assure you. Thank You, for affording me the opportunity to bring my complaint to the attention of someone who is hopefully more concerned and far better trained than some of the nurses that I have been bullied by because in no way, shape or form did I ever deserve to be treated in this manner. Thank You, Very Graciously.
Sincerely & Very Respectfully: Bruce A. Lonardo, Husband and Medical Proxy/Power of Attorney of Mrs. Irieri Ruth Lonardo:
Patient, Massachusetts General Hospital
Desired outcome: I would like a professional and sincere apology from the nurses who have treated me so despicably disrespectful with zero regard and kind human caring.
