Standard of care / customer service / mokena, il urgent care center
On 11-06-23 at approx. 0800 I arrived at the Mokena, IL Urgent Care center off of Lincoln Hwy. I was escorted into a patient room and advised the staff member, Kiera, of my symptoms. I advised her I suspected I had either the flu or COVID. I advised her I was looking for a prescription to help alleviate the pressure in my head and prednisone is usually what...

My concern is I brought my son to the er last night we got there around 11:20 somewhere around that time the nurses in triage was very good, my concern is when we was brought back to a room not one nurse came into his room for atleast an hour. Mind you we was there for his heart his heart rate was 135 and his blood pressure was high 158/105 and he sat there waiting for that long shaking heart beating super fast still and she finally came into the room and I asked her if it was shift change which I already knew it wasn't. She reply's no why I'm like why did it take u an hour to come I. Here to check on him she reply's with we get busy but we was in room 31 right across from where she was sitting talking to other nurses about fried trips and other patients being suicidal which is very inappropriate. Can hear all the conversations. So once the dr came into the room 2 hours later then they was to rush to get iv in and do numerous blood test to see why he was having rapid heart so they finally put iv in and gave him medication to bring heart rate down. Shouldn't of took them that long was not busy with other patients. The problem is my son shouldn't
Of had to sit that long without treatment. What if something would of happen he is type 1 diabetic he had to ask to have his sugar checked cuz he was shaking so bad she couldn't even put an iv in took her 3 try's still couldn't had to have someone else come in an do it for her. I don't remember her name but I do remember she has green strips in her hair. Working last night 1/20/34 at 12:30 she came into his room we got back in that room at 11:40 ish maybe a lil sooner.
Silver Cross Hospital Urgent Care
If you're feeling like you need to go to the urgent care, don't bother. They were not busy (very few rooms in use) but treated my wife like a dishonest annoyance.
Not only did the PA accuse my wife of fabricating a week and a half of pneumonia-like symptoms, difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath. They pressured her to re-take Covid and Flu tests that had already been negative (she was at another urgent care 2 days prior).
When the tests were negative, once again, my wife asked to see another Dr or PA, but they refused to comply. They then (almost immediately) rushed her out the door with a diagnosis of "Asthma Attack" (?) and a prescription of antibiotics (?) just to discharge her ASAP.
She felt extremely pressured, unsafe, and bullied. So much so that she felt that she had to call me to come make sure she had support. They did not have her best interest in mind, whatsoever.

Emergency room wait
Staff is putting multiple at risk by long wait to be seen. Over 5 hours. By the time we get seen I will be up for nearly 20 hours putting at risk my drive home.
All results are in just need to be discharged and no one will do it with out doctors order which no one will ask for
Some people I've been here nine hours. If this is true I will be up for over 24 hours. I feel as if the service is putting people at risk.
Desired outcome: Doctor discharge soon so I do jot fall sleep behind the wheel on the way home
Environmental Services (Housekeeping)
To whom this may concern,
I am writing this complaint regarding the management in Environmental services. There needs to be better management and professionalism. There needs to be a workshop or training seminar on professionalism, respect and better management regarding housekeeping. Huddle meetings need to be at least 15 minutes max without any interruptions. The new duty list that is located in the EVS closets and on the carts need to be updated and realistic. Employees should 2-3 discharges max and the staff needs to stop calling employees close to and on their breaks regarding a discharge room. The 3-2 special nursery needs to have a backup key because that key comes up missing a lot. When employees are getting fit tested that information needs to go on file, so that they do not have to continue to get fit tested.
Abuse at mental health facilities
I was given multiple injections and put in restraints. The staff was very verbally and physically abusive. Security guardsmen held me down and gave me injections. Then the staff put me in restraints. They lied and told my family I didn't want visitors. They need to be put in jail for attempted murder. Many have died with this type of abuse. They need to be investigated.

Silver Cross Hospital makes one mistake after another. I was admitted for & I&D of an abscess which turned out to be MRSA. I am a State of Illinois employee & have private insurance. I gave registration my information. Before I knew it, I was being transferred to Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL then received a bill for $33, 000 as a self-pay patient. Having MRSA, Vancomycin IV is the standard antibiotic that is given. It cannot be run thru a peripheral vein--only a central line or a PICC line. I was stuck by lab so many times that I have no veins left & they ran the Vancomycin through a barely viable vein in my right arm. I was treated like an indigent. Did not know I was being transferred to Stroger Hospital, being I'm a resident of New Lenox, this was very stressful and unnecessary for administration to treat a insurance-covered patient. There was no "PICC certified" nurse available for 9 days so I ended up with vein damage & luckily Stroger Hospital caught it. I wouldn't recomment this hospital to my worse enemy.
I was at Silver Cross in 3/19 for iron deficiency anemia which I received 2 units of packed RBC's. Once the "hospitalist" found out I had insurance, I was seen by everyone (a brief "check of the lungs" for $800). It's such a scam and a shame that the regular consumer doesn't know any better & cannot see this place for what it is.
Additionally, I have been unable to obtain my medical records since 12/15/19 despite faxing them to the medical records office 3 times. I personally have to go in & take off work to get them. I was also in the ER & was stuck by a Hepatitis C+ contaminated needle, they drew the wrong labs. Totally incompetent. This is a private hospital that prides itself on its food, politeness of the underpaid employees, and used to be in Joliet, IL but moved its location to attract more patients with insurance. This is a business. Even though I was treated like an indigent at Silver Cross, I would recommend Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL to everyone if you want true quality care. I'm not in the hospital to receive a good meal.
Was in the ER on Sunday, September 18th from 10:30pm till 7:30am.
There was no vending machine, no water or coffee available. It was crowded and understaffed.
I was there for 0ver 7 hours and never got to see a doctor never go there for help there was older people sitting in their own urine for hours little kids screaming it was a [censored] show I don't think I will ever go back there again i will find a different ER Hospital to go to
I'm glad I was not dying
