Charged for something that I had no part in. The accountant was incredibly unprofessional, rude and did not take my concerns seriously.
There was a total of 3 flood to my unit that was caused by the complex itself. They dried the area, but the did not replace the carpet. Nor did they clean the area. The last flood was a leakage from the ceiling, in which they didn't even repair. They charge me for carpet cleaning, and denied any damage from the carpet. The accountant, Stacey Burlington, who was over my case showed from the get go that she was not interested in speaking to me or addressing any of my concerns. She was rude and openly hostile towards me and dismissed me immediately.
Desired outcome: I would like to not pay for the carpet cleaning, when I, as a tenant, experienced multiple floods and leaks due to the complex itself and nothing that either myself or nature created.

We've been tryin to pay a debt for over 2 weeks an we ain't gettin no communication back 'til we call the corporate office. Finally, *** calls us back an starts mockin us, laughin an talkin 'bout how she don't care 'bout our money. Then she just hangs up the phone. This is a terrible way to do business an it shouldn't be put up with.

I contacted the property they own in Wichita, Kansas about the smell of weed. The management doesn't do anything about it, and Maxus Properties doesn't do anything about it either. The smell has gotten really bad, and I've had to stay somewhere else for the past month and a half. I want to avoid paying my last month's rent because of this problem.

(1) I wrote a letter to Maxus, telling them about the problem with the rent. But they keep saying I owe more money than I actually do. I made three payments to a collection agency as part of a plan, but Maxus doesn't seem to know about them. (2) They keep saying there were damages to the apartment, but I have pictures and papers that prove there weren't any damages when I moved out. Maxus can't show any proof of the damages. (3) Maxus broke the law in Missouri, specifically Statute §§ 535.300(4), because they didn't let me do a final walkthrough before the lease ended to check for any damage to the apartment.

A few months back, I contacted Maxus Properties 'bout a debt I owed. I didn't have the cash then to pay up, but I wanted 'em to know I planned on settlin' it. Turns out, my case got handed over to some person named *** at their big office. When I first talked to her on the phone, she was real mean, pushy, and kept interruptin' me. Now, I've finally got enough money to pay off the debt, so I sent 'em a simple, certified letter with a few requests. I made sure it wasn't mean or nothin'. But the email I got back was all snobby and rude. I ain't gonna deal with nobody who thinks it's okay to disrespect me, even if I owe 'em money or not.

I signed two leases (15 months each) at the ***, in downtown St. Louis, Mo. My wife and I bought a house and decided to move out of our loft after 30 months. We gave written notice to our property manager two months before our move and also confirmed verbally that we wouldn't renew our lease. A couple of months after moving out, we got a final billing statement charging us $1,912.00 for not giving notice of moving out and 10 days' worth of rent and utilities, saying we moved out 10 days after our lease ended, but that's not true. I tried many times to contact Maxus properties (phone call, email, written letter) to fix this wrong balance, but they didn't respond until I got a notice in the mail saying they sent it to a collection agency for these wrong charges. I'm still trying to resolve the issue before it affects my credit.

On April 14, I applied to rent an apartment at The View at ***. The total fees to be paid amounted to $450, with a promise of $250 being refunded if my application was denied. Unfortunately, I was indeed denied. I patiently waited for approximately 2 months for my refund, but to my dismay, nothing arrived. Frustrated, I decided to contact the apartment complex to inquire about the situation. They informed me that they had mistakenly sent the check to the wrong address. They assured me that once they received the check back, they would promptly send it to the correct address I provided. However, two more months passed, and still, I had not received my refund. Feeling exasperated, I reached out to both the apartment complex and their corporate office. Both parties assured me that my check had been mailed and would be arriving soon. However, after waiting for an additional two weeks, my check had still not arrived. Annoyed, I called once again. This time, the woman who answered the phone at corporate informed me that my check had been sitting on her desk all along and she immediately mailed it out. Miraculously, I received the check within a week. Without hesitation, I deposited the check to pay my rent. However, to my dismay, within just 2 days, they placed a stop payment on the check. As a result, I now have an NSF fee and late fees from my apartment.
Me and my wife, we rented from Maxus Properties in Wichita, KS, called ***
Me and my wife, we rented from Maxus Properties in Wichita, KS, called ***. They let you pay month to month after the first year lease is done. According to their rules, once you start the month-to-month thing, you gotta give 'em a 30-day heads up if you wanna move out. So, we gave 'em a notice on July 6th, and our lease ended on July 5th, meaning we planned to move out on August 6th. That way, we'd be following the 30-day notice rule without any extra charges. They even sent us a statement with all the costs for the move-out process. But here's the thing, the statement says we gave 'em the notice on June 30th. And then, a couple of months later, we got a letter from Maxus Properties saying we owe 'em $556.73 for breaking the lease early. Now, the lease doesn't say when exactly the month-to-month starts. I got emails, the lease, the move-out statement, and the notice to prove it.

The guy who fixes things at Maxus Properties, his name is ***, he sometimes threatens tenants when they try to adjust the temperature of their fridge because it doesn't work right and the ice maker doesn't make ice. He even yells really loud, which is not cool at all. I'm a disabled veteran and I have a kid with sensory processing disorder and autism spectrum disorder, so it's extra tough for us. The management team, including ***, is not professional at all. They even called the police just because I said a bad word when talking about the fridge. But just a week before, I accidentally dropped the F bomb and they didn't care. They said we're all adults and it's just a word. But when I said the other word, they freaked out and called the police. The police officer was actually really nice and understood that it was a waste of time. I wasn't even talking about the manager, I was talking about the stupid fridge. I've had to ask for help five times in one week for things that should have been fixed before I moved in.
I live at *** for 3 years
I live at *** for 3 years. I got lots of issues with building maintenance, leaks, mold, and unfair charges. My lease ends on July 18th and we told the office we're leaving. But they said we didn't give 60 days notice, so they'll charge us over $2000. They didn't give me a signed copy of my lease until 1 year later. They never uploaded it and don't know why. I have a screenshot of my portal with no lease for this year. I've had big problems with mold and leaks. I reported mold and a leak on Oct 25th, but they say they have no record of it. I saved messages from that day (attached screenshots of 2 conversations where I mention it). They tried to spray paint over some of it that day (photos of one of the vents were spray painted). I'm attaching photos of some problem areas. I have more. I feel discouraged and upset because I'm pregnant. I just want to leave when my lease ends without fees and get the mold fixed. If you can help, that would be great. I also talked to management about this.
