Bluefish bummer!
We had to choose another property this year because the house we had previously rented for multiple years, because the new owners wanted our week for themselves. We chose another siebert rental "Bluefish" that was a similar floorplan and was available for our week.
As it turned out, the only similarity was layout. Our check in was delayed about an hour due to an extremely dirty and rearranged property from previous renters. I was very disappointed in the condition of the property in general. The water in the hot tub was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. I drained and refilled the hot tub myself. Air conditioners outside the first floor bedrooms are very noisy if you are a light sleeper stay up stairs. Air conditioning units in the house were clogged with dust and smelled moldy and musty. No cleaning of those units was happing. We had to stick dryer sheets in the vents for deodorizing air. I sprayed febreeze in all the air handlers to cut the smell down. The stove had a mind of it's own and worked at times and not at others. There was a rotten picnic table on the main deck with a broken bench that could not be used. The cheap plastic Adirondack chairs up on the deck were cracked and broken as well. The most disappointing part was the pool and patio area. No propane grill or tables in the area. There were no lights in the pool or on the deck. It gets dark early in September. The pool guy said he would fix the light but never came back. All of the bedding was beyond it useful age and needs to be replaced. We had to use boards and other things to act as box springs. The biggest problem we encountered was being shocked in the pool. They put rubber mats around the edge of the pool to stop the shock when getting out of sitting on the edge
with your feet in the pool. Rather than fix the problem they tried a dangerous band aid fix. The band aid minimum attitude of this owner is visible in every room and space on this property. The owner needs to do the maintenance in a professional manner and bring this place up to modern standards and meet expectations of renters. All of this issues are the owners fault and not siebert realty. My experience with siebert is outstanding.
Recommendation: Renters beware. Pictures don't tell the story.
Disappointing Stay at Siebert Realty's Doc Holiday Rental Property: A Review
We recently stayed at Siebert Realty's Doc Holiday rental property and unfortunately, our experience was not up to par. Despite being promised a clean property upon arrival, we found dog hair and mouse feces scattered throughout the house. Ants were crawling on every surface, and thick cobwebs hung in the windows. It was clear that the property had not been properly cleaned in some time.
To make matters worse, the couch was broken when we arrived, with one of the legs completely snapped off. Sand was also found throughout the house, indicating that the cleaning staff had not even bothered to sweep. In the game room, we discovered a frog skeleton that had clearly been there for quite some time. To top it off, there was a nail sticking out of the wall that cut my daughter.
One of the decks was also completely unusable due to overgrowth, which was disappointing as we had hoped to enjoy the outdoor space. To make matters worse, while we were there, the property maintenance staff came to mow the lawn and blocked all of our cars in. When we confronted them about it, they were incredibly rude and unhelpful.
Overall, we were disappointed with our experience at Doc Holiday. Given the amount we paid to stay there, we expected a much higher level of cleanliness and maintenance. We hope that Siebert Realty will take steps to improve their cleaning and maintenance processes to ensure that future guests have a better experience.
Terrible Experience: Dirty, Bug-Infested House with Broken Amenities and False Advertising
This here house was just plain awful. When we first got there, it was already dirty. There was sand all over the place, even in our clean sheets! The floors were covered in sand too, and the pillows had bloodstains on them. Yuck! And don't even get me started on the bugs. There were splattered bugs all over the walls. It was like they were having a party in there or something.
To make matters worse, the fans in the bathrooms didn't even work. Can you believe that? And the dishwasher didn't work until Friday. We had to wash dishes for 26 people all week long. It was a nightmare. And to top it all off, there were no lounge chairs like the pictures showed. What a rip-off!
The refrigerators weren't even the same as the pictures either. And the couches and loveseats were dirty and stained. It was like they didn't even try to clean them before we got there. And don't even get me started on the pool. It was all cloudy on Thursday, so we called and they said someone would be up. But they didn't show up until Friday, and by that time, it was green and had algae all through it. We couldn't even use it on our last day there. What a waste!
We had to go buy a mixer because there were no beaters for the one they had there. And there were barely any bowls for cooking and serving. It was like they didn't even care about us. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone. Siebert should have given us a nice refund, but they didn't. It's like they didn't even care about our experience.
Terrible Experience with Siebert Realty: Dirty and Unprofessional Staff
Me and my family rented Gift of the Sea from Siebert Realty last week on August 21st. We were really excited to start our vacation, but when we arrived at the property, we were shocked to find that it was really dirty and smelled terrible. We tried to talk to the staff at Siebert Realty twice, but they were really unprofessional and rude to us. We decided that we couldn't stay there and demanded a full refund.
The house was in really bad shape. There was mold coming out of the vents and black mold on the deck. The grass hadn't been mowed and there was an empty bottle left from the previous tenant. To make matters worse, there was even a pubic hair on the back of the toilet! Siebert Realty offered to send someone out to clean the house and mow the lawn, but that wouldn't have solved the mold problem. My fiancé is a certified home inspector and he said that it was really unhealthy to stay in the house.
We had to find another place to stay that night with our 15-month-old grandbaby and our two dogs. We asked Siebert Realty to reimburse us for the inconvenience, but all they offered us was a $250 credit for future stays. There's no way that we would ever stay in one of their properties again after this experience. We're going to tell all of our family members who have rented from them in the past about how unprofessional they were. We've never seen anything like it!
Disappointing Stay: Issues with AC, Dishwashers, and Fridge in Expensive Rental House
This house cost us a pretty penny for a week's stay, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with what we got. We were hoping for a clean and functional space, especially since our youngest grandchild has severe allergies and asthma. However, we ended up spending a lot of time calling for service, emailing concerns, and walking around the house with maintenance.
To start, the AC downstairs was not functioning properly, which made it quite uncomfortable during the hot summer days. Additionally, the dishwashers were not working properly, and we had to hand wash a lot of dishes during our stay. The fridge was also a major issue, as it wouldn't stay cold, and we had to have the compressor cleaned while we were there. The service guy who came to fix it said that it looked like someone had pushed a gray rug up against it, and it hadn't been cleaned in a year. When he showed it to me, it was absolutely disgusting.
To make matters worse, we had to bring in a portable AC unit for upstairs, and we even had to purchase a fan for the kids' bunk bedroom. On day 3, the maintenance guy told us that they would have given us a fan for our stay, but the maintenance guy on day 1 failed to mention that. It was quite frustrating to have to deal with all of these issues during our vacation.
Despite all of these problems, the location of the house was great, especially for families with young children. However, it was clear that the house had not been taken care of recently, and it was in dire need of major cleaning and updates. We have posted a few photos, but there are many more that we will be giving to the rental company.
Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay at this house, especially considering how much we paid for it. We hope that the rental company takes our concerns seriously and takes steps to improve the condition of the house for future guests.
Disastrous Rental Experience at Coral Sands Property through Siebert Realty: Filthy, Unsafe, and Unresponsive
I recently rented the Coral Sands property through Siebert Realty for a family reunion that we had been eagerly anticipating. I had rented a property from Siebert for the past two summers and had a great experience, so I assumed that this rental would be no different. Boy, was I wrong! The Coral Sands property was a complete disaster. It was filthy, unsafe, and lacked adequate air conditioning and water pressure for multiple showering. With 17 people in our group, we could only shower one person at a time until the issue was fixed mid-week. To make matters worse, mice kept me awake at night by chewing in the master bedroom walls. A broken coffee table (which appeared not to be broken) crashed onto a family member's foot, causing physical harm. Deck safety rails fell off in our hands, leaving exposed nails. When we arrived, used sheets were on the beds, mold was in most showers, and spider-filled cobwebs were throughout the property.
I must say, the realty company responded very quickly to our complaints. However, the Sales Manager refused to compensate us for the poor quality of this property and the inconvenience and physical harm caused to my family. I initially asked for a full refund, which was denied. I then requested only two nights refunded, which was also denied. The city of Virginia Beach should not allow this property to be rented until it is brought up to standard. I urge you to stay far away from Coral Sands in Sandbridge, as the owners are not properly maintaining this property and ripping off unassuming families who simply want a clean, safe, and fully working home for the high prices being paid.
In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Siebert Realty and the Coral Sands property. I had high expectations based on my previous rentals with this company, but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that Siebert Realty takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to ensure that their properties are up to standard for future renters.
Disappointing Vacation Rental Experience with Siebert Realty: "Surf Shack" Review
I gotta say, Siebert Realty is not the best choice if you're looking for a nice vacation rental. We rented the "Surf Shack" and it was a total disappointment. The pictures on their website were totally different from what we got. When we arrived, the house was dirty and the furniture was all broken and looked like it was picked up from the trash. The main fridge was broken and there was just a note taped to it saying "sorry for the inconvenience." We had to call and ask for a replacement, which they did provide quickly, but it was just a small mini fridge for 15 people. The furniture repair guy they sent laughed at the evaluation of the furniture and recommended it be replaced immediately, but the owners refused. There were piles of broken furniture all around the property. The house was also infested with ants and there weren't enough cups, plates, or silverware for the number of guests advertised. The managers kept saying they never get complaints, but we talked to the neighbors and they said multiple people have complained. We've been renting from Siebert since 1983, but we'll never rent from them again. We've renamed this place the "wish.com house" because it's nothing like what was advertised. Check out the pictures we took of what was advertised and what we got. Oh, and the GM claims you can't base your rental on the photos? What are we supposed to base it on then? After driving around the beach, we noticed that all the nice, updated homes were rented by other companies and all the run-down ones had Siebert signs. Save yourself the trouble and rent from someone else.
Disappointing Vacation Rental Experience with Siebert Realty: Foul Smell, Cold Pool, and Poor Service
Me and my family decided to go on a vacation to Sandbridge area and we chose Siebert Realty to rent a home. We were all excited to go on this trip as we all either work for a school district or are essential employees from New York State. We were unsure how our travel restrictions were going to be especially for our schools. We also wanted to be safe and rent a home that would entertain the kids and we would not have to go out and about and just stay in and enjoy the heated indoor pool and fish off the dock.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the home, we were disappointed to find out that it had a foul smell and was not the cleanest. We opened all the windows and went out to buy cleaning materials. We did not call and complain, we just cleaned. We eventually found the smell in the garbage can in the kitchen after removing the bag there was old fish boil remnants in the bottom. Despite this, we tried to make the best of our vacation.
Moving on, we got ready for bed that night and realized the WiFi was not working nor the whole living room and 2nd floor master bedroom. We called that Sunday morning and left a message. Monday they came and said it was a tripped breaker. The pool was cold the whole time we were there and was not filtering. We called again, but nobody returned our message. We were disappointed that we could not enjoy the heated pool as it was advertised as an amenity.
We called again and spoke to a great representative who told me how the owner was aware of the error code on the heater and had scheduled someone to come and fix it the following week. She said the heater was still under warranty so he had to schedule with the company! A woman from a pool company came out and said that the pool was losing prime because she believed there was a small leak somewhere in the pool and maybe we could keep putting water in with a hose. We were frustrated as to why we booked this home and that since the heated all year round pool was an advertised amenity we would be entitled to compensation. She gave us the emails to the people we should email which we did.
We received an email back that says the owner didn't feel we were entitled to any refund but they would give us $200 on our next rental! No Thank you! We were disappointed that we did not receive any compensation for the issues we faced during our vacation. We would not recommend anybody to rent a vacation home from this company. We were disappointed with the service we received and the lack of compensation for the issues we faced.
Disappointing Stay at Foolish Pleasures through Siebert Realty: Neglected Property and Lack of Safety Measures
My family and I recently had the displeasure of staying at Foolish Pleasures through Siebert Realty. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the property seemed neglected and outdated. The bathrooms were in need of updating, the grill was unusable, and the bed quilts and comforters appeared dirty and stained. To make matters worse, we found old socks under one of the beds and food under the couch from previous renters. The sliding door leading to the patio was old and difficult to use, and there were electrical outlet plates that were not secured to the floor, which was a safety hazard for our three small children.
To top it all off, the biggest disappointment of the week was when my vehicle was stolen, along with three others parked around it. When we brought this to the attention of the "president" of the company, we were met with a lack of empathy and an argumentative attitude. Instead of taking responsibility for the safety of their property, they suggested that I had left my keys in the car or that it had been towed. This was unacceptable, as my car was parked on their poorly maintained property.
It is clear that Siebert Realty does not care about the safety and well-being of their guests. They should take steps to improve the landscaping and safety of their properties to ensure that their guests have a better experience. It was also concerning to us that they did not post any information about their policies regarding COVID-19 on their website. This lack of concern for their guests' health and safety is unacceptable.
We strongly advise against renting from Siebert Realty and suggest that you look at other realty companies before making a decision. We hope that they will take our feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to improve their properties and customer service. As for us, we will not be returning to any of their properties in the future.
Disgusting and Unacceptable: Our Experience with Siebert Realty Vacation Rental
We decided to rent from Siebert Realty after our original vacation plans to the Caribbean were cancelled. However, upon arriving at the 2875 Sandfiddler The Dolphin View property, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the house. It was dirty and not well-maintained, with evidence of poor cleaning standards. They claimed that they needed extra time to clean due to Covid-19, but it was clear that the place was never cleaned properly.
We were shocked to find piss in the toilet in our bathroom, chewed gum in the trash, and food under the furniture. The furniture was disgusting, with mold in the kitchen, and the door knob was broken on the entry into the house. The main fridge in the kitchen had layers of dust on top, and the inside was dirty with leftover condiments. The doors to the pool were stuck and rotting, and everything was covered in dust. The carpets were dirty and worn, and the glasses in the bar were dusty.
All they offered to do was refund the cleaning fee, which was not enough to make up for the unacceptable condition of the property. They sent a crew later to clean, but this should have been done before our arrival. We would never rent from Siebert again, and we do not recommend them to anyone. The grills outside were gross, and the pool was not cleaned as they promised to do mid-week. Our bedroom door did not even lock, which was a major security concern. We had to clean all the door handles, surfaces, and dishes ourselves, as they were all gross. The garbage compactor was clogged with food, which was disgusting.
We tried to contact Kat via email, but she did not want to be contacted that way. We ended up speaking to her anyway, and she lied to us about the owner and the condition of the house. There was fecal matter on the toilet seat downstairs in my daughter's bathroom, which was completely unacceptable. The house needs an update, especially considering the almost $8K we paid for the week. The chairs in the kitchen were stained and disgusting, and the walls were cracked. There was dust on the HVAC vents, and the ceiling fan in the first floor made a loud noise. To top it all off, the house shakes when walking along the outside deck.
We felt terrible for inviting our friends and their kids to such a disgusting house. We had hyped up the vacation since we had a great experience with another real estate company, Beach Pros. However, Siebert Realty was a complete disappointment. We found dried blood on the wall of our bedroom, and the slats in the blinds in the bathroom were broken. We do not recommend Siebert Realty to anyone, and we will never rent from them again.
Disappointing Stay at Surf Shack: Filthy and Unmaintained Property from Siebert Realty
We recently rented the Surf Shack from Siebert Realty for a week-long stay from September 21st to 28th. Our first impression of the property was not great as we noticed a fence down upon arrival. However, we called maintenance and they came pretty quickly to fix it. We dropped our stuff off and went to the grocery store. When we returned late in the evening, we noticed how bad the house was. There was black mold on the ceiling of all three showers upstairs, and the cupboards were filthy and crummy. Ants were crawling everywhere, and the ant traps they had all over just weren't doing the trick. The cupboards were disorganized, and it took us about an hour to organize everything just to see what was there and what we needed.
The fridge had broken drawers and rust on the inside, and the freezers had ice cube trays that were covered in frost and looked like they hadn't been emptied in months. There was thick dust on the doorways and vents under the beds. Many knobs were off the dresser drawers, and the toilet paper roll holder in the master bedroom needed fixing so the toilet paper didn't keep sliding off. Another bedroom on the second floor had no curtain on the window, which was a pain in the morning if you wanted to sleep in. Once everyone started to go to bed, we quickly realized there was sand in some of the beds (none of us had been in them yet).
The dryer vent was clogged so bad that my husband took about a half-hour to clean it out and fish out all the junk just so we could be able to shut the door. Toward the end of the week, when I was collecting some laundry from the room my daughter stayed in, I bent down to pick something up by her dresser, and under her dresser was a potato. None of us brought or bought any potatoes that week. Clearly, they need a cleaning crew.
For the price we paid, we expected better. We were very disappointed with the condition of the property. We didn't call because after reading other reviews and experiences, we figured we'd get kicked out of our house while someone cleaned. We were all tired, and it was late, and besides, this should all have been done before we arrived. We have stayed at plenty of other beach houses, and this was by far the worst and the filthiest. We doubt we'll ever choose Siebert again.

Disappointing Experience with Siebert Realty: Outdated Property and Poor Customer Service
I recently stayed at a property managed by Siebert Realty and I must say, I was disappointed with my experience. While the space was quite roomy, it was clear that the property was outdated and in need of some serious TLC. The rugs were covered in all sorts of dirt and grime, and it was clear that they had not been cleaned in quite some time. Additionally, the vents and bathtubs were in dire need of a good scrubbing, as they were covered in dust and grime.
To make matters worse, when I brought these issues to the attention of the management team at Siebert Realty, they refused to even consider refunding the cleaning fee that I had paid. This lack of customer service was truly disappointing, and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Overall, I would not recommend using Siebert Realty for your vacation rental needs. While the space may be roomy, the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service simply isn't worth it. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your vacation rental needs.
Disappointing and Disgusting Stay at Siebert Realty: Mold, Stains, Dust, and Trash Everywhere
This place was really gross, me and my fam were hoping for a fun spot to chill during the holidays, not a place to get everyone sick. There was mold all over the place, stains on the sheets, dust everywhere, and so much trash. It was so bad that we had to leave a day early from check out. My 9 month old niece got super sick from the place and right now all me and my fam can do is pray for her to get better as the rest of us are sick too. Don't even bother coming to this pig stye, it's not worth it at all.
I gotta say, I was really disappointed with Siebert Realty. I mean, I was really looking forward to a nice vacay with my fam, but instead we got a really nasty place that made us all sick. The mold was everywhere, the sheets were stained, there was dust all over the place, and trash was just piled up. It was so bad that we had to leave a day early from check out. My 9 month old niece got really sick from the place and right now all me and my fam can do is pray for her to get better as the rest of us are sick too. Seriously, don't even bother coming to this pig stye, it's not worth it.
Siebert Realty Puts Profits Over People's Lives During Pandemic: A Disappointing Experience
I recently booked a vacation stay with Siebert Realty for October, but unfortunately, I had to cancel due to the rising COVID19 and Delta Variant numbers. I have lost several family members during this pandemic, and I did not want to risk the health of my family, including the toddlers and elders who were supposed to participate in this trip. I called Siebert Realty to cancel and reschedule at another time, but to my disappointment, I was told that it did not matter about the lives of my family. They made it clear that either way, we go or we lose every dime. I was shocked and saddened by their lack of empathy and concern for their customers' well-being.
I urge people to find another company to rent vacation rentals from. Siebert Realty does not care about you; they only care about your money. It is a disgusting feeling to know that a company would put profits over people's lives, especially during a pandemic. I have lost all trust in this company and will never book with them again.
In my opinion, Airbnb is the best option for vacation rentals. They have shown compassion and flexibility during these challenging times, and they prioritize their customers' safety and well-being. I hope that Siebert Realty will learn from this experience and start prioritizing their customers' lives over their profits.

Disappointing Stay at Seibert Realty- Misleading Rental Property
Me and my family just had a stay at a rental property in Virginia Beach that was managed and rented by Seibert Realty. I picked this place because it had a private pool, which was a big deal for us. But when we got there, we found out that the pool wasn't even open yet! And the outside of the house wasn't even ready for guests. The outdoor shower wasn't even turned on, so we had to be extra careful not to track sand into the house. When we told the realtor at Seibert about this, they just said that it was early in the season. That's not really a good excuse, you know? If we had known that the pool wasn't going to be available, we would have rented another property. It's important to remember that the realtor is working for the owner, not the renter, so you need to ask a lot of questions before you sign anything.
Disappointing Vacation Rental: Margaritaville in Sandbridge - A Review
We recently rented a vacation home through Siebert Realty and boy, were we disappointed! The property we stayed in was called "Margaritaville" and it was located in Sandbridge. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the rugs were completely stained and the furniture was in a similar state. The curtains were also stained with what looked like red wine. We were so grossed out by the condition of the furniture that we didn't even want to sit on it. The whole place was dusty and dirty, which was a major turn-off.
To make matters worse, the house was in disrepair and in desperate need of some maintenance. There was chipping paint on the walls, which could be dangerous for small children. The outside grill was so dirty that we couldn't even get it to ignite. The picnic table had a loose bench that wasn't secured properly. It was a total mess!
The only good thing about the property was the pool and the location. However, the pictures on Siebert Realty's website were very deceiving. We were expecting a clean and well-maintained property, but what we got was the complete opposite.
We took some pictures of the property to show just how bad it was. We definitely won't be going back to Margaritaville anytime soon. We were very disappointed with our experience and wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.
Siebert Realty: A Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Refusal to Refund Money
I was on the hunt for a rental for weeks and finally stumbled upon Siebert Realty's website (siebert-realty.com). I was excited to find a place that fit my needs and quickly gave them a full month's rent deposit along with their "fees". However, when I asked for the lease for my 3-month rental, they informed me that I would only receive it upon arrival, which was still 2 months away. This made me seriously worried, especially after reading all the negative reviews about their awful service and refusal to refund money, leaving families and individuals ripped off with no recourse.
To ease my concerns, I asked for updated pictures of the rental property, as some people had mentioned arriving to filth and broken furniture. However, to my surprise, they refused my request. To make matters worse, they then informed me that I was responsible for the yard, even though it was never stated anywhere for a winter vacation rental. This made me lose trust in them, especially after seeing how they responded to complaints on BBB. I urge you to go check it out for yourself!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Siebert Realty. I paid for a rental just one business day ago, and now, 8 weeks before my arrival, I am being told that my reservation has been cancelled. I better get my money back, or I will be suing them. It's frustrating to see how a company can treat their customers so poorly and get away with it.
Disappointing Stay at Siebert Realty: WiFi Outage and Water Leakage Result in Lost Work and Inconvenience
My experience with Siebert Realty was not the best. During my stay, the WiFi was out for three whole days, which resulted in lost work for three of my family members. I called Seibert Realty to report the issue, but it took three days for the cable repairman to show up. When he finally arrived, he informed me that the outside cable line of 30 feet was outdated, causing the outage. He repaired it, and the WiFi was back on.
In addition to the WiFi issue, there was also a water leakage from the rain that had entered one of the bedrooms prior to my stay. I was told that it would be corrected by the time I arrived, but it was fine until the fifth day of my stay when water started seeping up through the laminate floor. This resulted in me having to move my five grandchildren to sleep on the floor elsewhere.
Considering the amount of money I spent on the rental, which was almost $16,000.00, I would have expected the owners of the house to offer some type of compensation for the inconvenience we experienced. Unfortunately, they did not, which left a sour taste in my mouth.
I have been to Sandbridge three times, but I will never rent from these owners again. It's a shame because the location was beautiful, but the lack of attention to these issues and the lack of compensation for the inconvenience made the experience less than desirable.
Overall, I would not recommend Siebert Realty based on my experience. If you're looking for a rental in Sandbridge, I would suggest looking elsewhere to avoid any potential issues.
