leather recliner couch and double love seat recliner
I financed a double love seat that reclines it came and it worked great for a few weeks now it gets stuck when it reclines also my black leather recliner couch I purchased came and it doesn't recline at all I have sent videos and pictures to Mdg and they won't replace it I was told when I wifjend up for this company that you could return things this company is terrible I am paying 81 dollars a month for things that don't work I am not going to pay one more dime till these problems are fixed I changed bank accounts so that Mdg can't take my money until this is fixed please respond

December 20th 10:13pm NO CALL BACK (this is a growing trend here) so I send yet again ANOTHER complaint via the survey

I received the tv I ordered today. Set it up and turned it on and nothing but a black screen. Does not do anything. The black will turn lighter black if you hit picture button but still black. No splash screen or logo or set up for language or time. Was hoping to have it going before Christmas because of the Xbox one x that came with it that I was giving to my daughter. I do not have the money to pay for shipping to send back. I paid for extended warranty as well. Would like this problem fixed as soon as possible please.

laptop purchase
Tried to Purchase a Laptop in the US, while still paying on one in Canada, AFTER they took my shipping and first payment, they canceled my order and told me they were going to apply the amount to what is owed in Canada.
FRADULENT! I am protected by the american consumer act! I called my bank and disputed the charges as they canceled the laptop order. They cannot withhold money for a purchase in another country for a past due account in another, that is MONEY LAUNDERING!

Several days ago they gave me a $4000 credit, but everything looked very suspicious. Of course, I won't fall for this and won't take this money. And the reason is that they asked the details of my bank account. They wanted to know absolutely everything and assured me they needed this information for security reasons. Oh yeah?

Boyfriend got a computer, was approved and had been paying for a year, making payments every paycheck. I asked him "whats your remaining balance left on this computer?" of course he was like "oh, its down to like $800 by now" (originally it was $1500 for the computer) So I said, ok.. but whats left to pay on it, we should know, you need to find out. So he called in to ask, well to our surprise my bf had a remaining balance of $1400... So he had been paying for a year, $40 every paycheck being withdrawn from his account for this computer and all that was paid was $120.00 and the rest of the money went to interest. Thats ridiculous. So in total my bf had let this company take $1080 and we found out that we barely skimmed the surface off any of the debt. Like what kind of company does this? obviously this company.
Hopefully this helps those of you who are in the same situation. We are going to stop paying for this computer. It would take eons to pay off this computer and heck we paid a lot already, so screw this company, we are keeping this computer and are going to stop paying them. We will either make a stop payment, or just change his banking account.
There is no need to even try to deal this situation with the company because I'm sure there is no way they would care to listen to anything, plus they would probably say anything they could to blame us rather themselves. So this is my story. Do yourselves a favor if your in the same situation and do the same as we are going to do.

Shipping Charges
so I look at getting one of the laptops from them. Its $1407 dollars, ok and you get a Free 32 Gig 8" tablet with it great.
I figure what the hell I have a 2070.00 credit limit. I look at the paper work they want to me sign and my total for the laptop is $2069.97
I'm like wait a minute that's over $600 dollars more then what the laptop costs. " The $1407 is the promotional price but you have chosen to get the free tablet so its more expensive" So I am like then it is NOT a free tablet if I am paying $600 more for getting the free tablet. No only about 200 more as you have shipping and taxes. Says that their Company standard rate for Shipping the laptop UPS is $130.00 I am like WHAT? Are you shipping it same day? I ship Computers for my job out to my Techs and it does not cost me $50.00 for 2nd day to ship a Computer and you are telling me its $130 to ship a laptop? ITS BS that right there when they would not let me do 3rd party shipping or any discount on the Shipping lets you know your dealing with CROOKS and LIARS saying that's their company rate. John Doe can walk in off the street and UPS Over Night a laptop cheaper than that!

Incorrect Statement Calculations
MDG Canada has been added to my list of companies I would never recommend to anyone. They are extremely unprofessional and I haven't yet had a pleasant customer service call with them. The last issue I had with them was today when I called them about my online statement.
The statement shows the prev principal balance being the same as the new principal balance even after credits and charges. If you do the math it doesn't add up. I was told by a representative that the math doesn't add up because the interest is being charged on the same day as my statement date. So I asked her if everyone's statement that generates on the same day as their interest charges will be inaccurate in their calculation. She agreed.
So we have some people getting the correct calculations and some people are not, how's that for professionalism. Now I can see that these reports are being generated by Crystal Reports and I'm guessing that the issue is just with the logic of the calculations used by the report. The question is: If they overlook the report calculations, what other calculations are they overlooking? Maybe they are overlooking the calculations for interest and stealing pennies off each account?
When I made the first call about this I was put on hold for 5 minutes then the call was disconnected. (I'm guessing she didn't have an answer for me). The second time I called same thing this time I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and then was told the supervisor had just left since apparently it was after hours. Now I'm not sure any of you have worked in a call-center before, but I know that in a call-center there is ALWAYS a supervisor, although they typically do not like to take supervisor calls. So I don't buy that when they tell me that.
After all that I decided to post a comment on their Facebook page, which was very quickly removed and my facebook account is now unable to post to their page.
It just goes to show that MDG is very unprofessional with unprofessional representatives, inexperienced developers, and all around unpleasant company to deal with.
MDG does not deserve to be in business in my opinion.

Highly Unprofessional
MDG Canada has definitely landed on my list of companies never to recommend to anyone. MDG Canada is very unprofessional and I wouldn't be surprised if they are actually ripping people off due to incorrect calculations by their billing system.
I had issues with MDG from the start, but today I received an email notifying me that my monthly statement is ready. So I go and check and after carefully examining the online billing statement I realize that the values are not totaling correctly. They show your 'Previous Principal Balance', subtract your payments, add interest and admin fees, then show your 'New Principal Balance'. The problem is that the New Principal Balance is showing the same as the Previous Principal Balance. Now the only way that could occur is if the credits are equal to the charges, but the credits are greater than the charges, therefor the new principal balance should be less than the previous principal balance.
They tried to explain to me that the numbers do not add up because the interest is charged on the same day as my billing statement. They said that depending on the day when your bill is generated that the number will or will not total properly. They confirmed with me that there a group of people where the statement add up properly and another group of people that are getting incorrect totals on the statements. If that's not unprofessional I don't know what is.
The statements are generated using Crystal Reports so I'm assuming it may just be poor programming and incorrect logic in their calculations. But if they can overlook the billing statement calculations that they send out to ALL of their customers, what other system calculations are being miscalculated? Maybe the interest calculations are stealing pennies at a time from everyone over time?
They also show a current balance value which seems to be the correct value, but shouldn't the current balance equal the new principal balance? Anyhow so speaking with representatives at MDG went nowhere as I had anticipated. I was hung up on by the first girl I was talking with when she was supposedly was getting a supervisor, then also hung up on by the second girl when she told me the supervisor had apparently left the building since it was after hours. Now I'm not sure if any of you have worked at call centers before, but I know that there is ALWAYS a supervisor somewhere during call center operations, although they typically do not like to take supervisor calls.
So then I decided to let people know of my horrible experience with MDG. If I don't advise people of my experience with them, how will anyone else know ahead of time? So I made a post on their Facebook page, which was very quickly removed and my facebook account was blocked from making any more posts.
Anyhow MDG Canada is an unprofessional company with unprofessional staff and inexperienced developers. I would never recommend MDG to anyone, they don't deserve to be in business.
100% AGREEABLE, i started a post and within 7 hrs. it was delted from facebook.i will be reposting via my control shortly, the story from start to finish along with email exchanged via both parties.my last phone meeting ended up with a very unpolite person hanging up the phone in my ear, just after i was threathened they were going to lock my electronics units with a software they have in stalled by company befor you receive it.(( isn, t that illegal hacking))) after everything is posted i, ll let the public decide on the outcome of the whole issue. WITH MDG EMPLOYEES NOT MAKING SURE THE CUSTOMER COMES FIRST.
Horrible Business
NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! No body there know what they`re doing. It is an absolute JOKE.
I bought a computer from them 7 years ago that didn`t work when we got it. We sent it back and waited 8 months for the new one which only lasted 8 months before it too, overheated and needed new parts.
Apart from them their financing is ###. I phoned 7 years ago and filled out an application with someone who was taking over the financing from me. We sent in their social insurance information, drivers licence, work info., living info. all the things you`d need for financing. I was told by someone at MDG that this would mean the account was no longer in my name.
5 years later I find out that not only is it still in my name but that they don`t have any information on the person we added to the file and it has been affected MY credit this whole time (even though it had NOTHING to do with me anymore).
EVERY SINGLE TIME I PHONE no one knows what they`re talking about. I get transferred to at least 6 different people and spend on average 60 minutes on hold. NEVER EVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

I started making payments on a computer .
After about 6 months, I couldn't afford it anymore.
I called them and told them this, and attempted to return the computer. They told me NO RETURNS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
So, what the H*** am I supposed to do now.
Well, I stopped paying, changed my bank account, and now its been 2 years since.
They have been calling me, (sorry a "lawyer for mdg" ) has been calling me threatening to sue if I don't pay it NOW.
I would recommend keeping any and all documents, as well as emails.
They are absolute crooks! Our computer was 1700$ and after 2 years, our balance was still over 1500$! I was making payments of $100 a month, so lets do the math; ***** = so thats 1200$ a year, so 2 years, i've paid 2400$! but supposedly I still have a balance of 15hundred/something...!/!//?
The better business bureau should shut them down for good! so they cant do this to anyone else!

Yep, as I see, MDG is still in the business of ripping off the consumers!
we bought a desktop from this nasty company in 2005, bad enough they didn't ship what was promised on their ad (all in one printer (not a cheap little $20 piece of crap printer only! Had to pay more for advertised special!), camera (not a toy! had to pay more for advertised special!), Great warranty (If you send it back to Ontario! Pay more for extended!), In house financing (Oh, when did they take over Wells Fargo?! Oh yeah - Really pay through the nose! buck a day? holey cow! when did they put 30 more days in a Month?!?!?!)
Then to top it off, monitor was cracked when it got here! charged us for replacement.
Now here's the great part-Hard drive crashed (10 months old) - oh send it to us (On your nickle of course!) and we will fix it. Cheaper to take it to a local shop. Oh did you know the fans were just about shot? $200 later, tech suggest the parts are substandard - Known him for 20 years!
Couple of years down the road. Hard drive crashes again, this time we find out that the Motherboard has been shorting out all along, not really worth putting a new hard drive in.
I think we ship all our computers to help improve third world countries, and MDG goes over and buys them back for a handful of food, just so they can put this garbage together and sell it back to us! Or maybe they just go around to garbage bins and pawn shops, add a couple of tweaks, and Voila - BRAND NEW COMPUTER!
We'll go to Staples, Future Shop - Hey even Walmart, But will never ever deal with these ripoff artists again! We also scream to the high heavens so none of our friends, family, aquaintances, or even strangers, get ripped off like this EVER!

I purchased an overpriced laptop from this company and right from the start of purchasing I was a little skeptical about my purchase. After about 8 months I noticed the power adapter connection at the back was getting pretty hot. I called MDG support and they told me I would have to drop it off for support. Within 2 weeks I had the machine at the store, I had only used it lightly to back up files and data before warranty repairs. The notebook basically gets to the point where if you touch the plug you will burn yourself, and I now notice that the plug is actually almost on fire and is clearly burnt. So I dropped the laptop for service at MDG and after 10 days called for the status, I was shocked that the store had no idea where my laptop was and someone was to call me back. After waiting for long at last I received a call after 5 days to tell me no warranty. I called them back and was told to write and escalation letter. I agreed and sent Escalation Email Regarding Laptop. But still no response so I sent second email regarding the status of my computer. After 5 days I received the call and was told the same thing I have been told at the store level regardless of my escalation. He tells me to call the store for the status and I refused. I ask him to call the store and deal with it. I dropped my laptop off for service and I want it back fixed. It's been 3 months all this is going on and can see no chances of getting my laptop back. Decide on your own whether they are the right one for the purchase.

Bank Fraud
I bought a computer from MDG. They were to take payments from my bank account. However, after one NSF they started entering my bank account for various amounts a few times a month driving up NSF charges deliberately. I did not authorize this and I am shocked the banks don't pay attention to who they let into accounts, especially after the amount is set and binding with the computer company. This is fraud and a criminal offense. It's time to hold this company and others federally accountable for bank fraud.
