Memorial Page created for my Nephew in 2009
I paid for a page for my family to continue paying tribute to my nephew. It was a one time fee that was to last eternity and it's gone. A lot of special memories and candles have been shared to this page, a sense of sharing a loss together and no one being alone. This page was very helpful for my sister during her grieving period and also helped family know when she needed extra love and support.
Desired outcome: A refund or a return of the page.
Memorial Websites
I have paid for and built 3 memorial sites on this tree and I have no access to any of them. I spent a lot of time uploading pictures and creating music and on anniversaries and holidays I like to go in to light a candle or make comments and I can not do this.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the Memorials of Mary Hodges, Thomas Hodges and Fannie Mae Faulk
Memory-of website
I paid in 2005 for what was supposed to be a forever memory page for my husband. It has been taken down and all my pictures, stories and tributes are all gone. Completing this page was very cathartic during my grieving process. I feel that has been taken from me. Could someone please at least bring it back up and allow us to download/upload our information from the page?
Desired outcome: Bring page back with all information
We need access to our page. I don’t want to lose my info I have on it. My daughter was murdered and there is a lot of newspaper articles I put on there. Please bring it back up.
Loved one's website
We cannot access our brother's website that we've had for 15 years and was supposed to be ongoing. All of the photos, tributes, notes and words that CANNOT BE REPLACED. This was a way for the family and friends to support one another through anniversaries and times when needed.
Shame on whomever is responsible for allowing the website to close and cause more grief to thousands of families. If there is a way to join a lawsuit, we would like to be a part of it.
Desired outcome: RESTORE THE SITE
Where is this website??????
What has happened to my son's memorial page? Zachary Fish [protected]. I paid for an eternal page. Where is it? I expected to always be able to come back and see the memories and pay tributes. This is heartbreaking. It needs to be resolved. How could you do this the grieving families? Judy Hinman
Desired outcome: I want my son's page
lifetime membership
I paid for a lifetime membership for my daughter, Alejandra Maria Capdevila who passed away April 29, 2004. ALL of the tributes, her singing, photos, memorials, newspaper articles, everything we had was on this site. None of this can be replaced. I need to find a way to access this and download this information. I cannot begin to explain how horribly upsetting this is. I am sick to my stomach.
Desired outcome: I want her site back up or i want to be able to retrieve the information.
I feel the same way! How can they get away with this!
I have had my daughters memorial website since 2003 and it has just disapeared! What a sorry company this is! Takes advantage of people who have lost loved ones! Should be something for us to do about these people stealing money from bereaved people! We cannot get our information back and are unable to contact these people! I also want my daughters site back up or be able to retrieve the information.
My son's web page
I paid in 2002 for a page promised for eternity. My little boy died at the age of 11 and this page means the world to me and my family... William Edward Joyner (Billy) 1991 to 2002. Our page is filled with irreplaceable thoughts and stories! You should have given us a chance to at least copy and save. This page has photos no longer in my possession please help
Desired outcome: I want the info from my site
Perpetual service is out of service
I paid for a memorial page in 2009 for my son, Jack Russo. I hadn't checked the site for the past month of so, then went to it on what would have been his 33rd birthday. There's a message that says the site will be down for a few days.
I see from the complaints board that it has been down for a long time. I don't have any way to contact the company. Several of the pictures were lost in a house fire a few years ago and I trusted this site to maintain them.
Desired outcome: I want my page to be back in service.
Website access
I paid a life time subscription in 2008 for this site. Not had a problem until 27th November 2021 my sons 15th Anniversary. Myself and various other people tried to access the site to light candles. A message appeared saying the site was down for a few days. After completing a bit of research it appears it has been down for quite sometime
There is a lot of content memories and photos which have been lost
Desired outcome: Access to my sons website so that people can access it going forward
The site has been down for quite some time.
I did spend a lot of time creating my Son's memorial on memory-of.com. He passed away 15 years ago today at 23 years of age. I wanted to share his beautiful memorial pages today but the site is still down. This is all his friends and family have to share in Dean's memory. I am very sad about this.
This is a lifetime membership and I pray this will be resolved soon.

Desired outcome: Have the site back up
Website
I paid for my son site in 2003 after he died in August. I thought it was a great thing to have a lifetime Memorial website that would last forever. I've never really noticed a major problem before until last year. Every year from Father's Day on I go to the website for comfort. On August and November his death date and birthday respectively, I really rely on the site. Last year the site was down during that time but came up after the new year. That was short-lived as it's been down since Father's Day with a homepage that says "check back in a few days" but months later the site is still down. No one returns emails, nobody post anything on the Facebook page, if the owners died? I'm sorry, but somethings should've been set in place to have that website maintained. I have had my own website many times, currently I have a new one. Websites don't just go down and never come back up. I'm very angry, it's not the $50 I spent in 2003, it's my mental state. I feel these people should be sued. I'm HURT & DEPRESSED! All they had to do is COMMUNICATE!

Desired outcome: FIX THE WEBSITE
Lifetime Membership
I tried to find my mom and sister's websites that I go to from time to time and found out that the websites were taken down. Not only did I pay a lifetime membership for the service but I found great solace in these sites. I would go to the sites to remember them and when they disappeared I found another piece of me ripped out. Luckily I found a website called "wayback machine" which allowed me to view previous versions of the site so that I could salvage some of the memories and time that I had put into them. If you need help trying to find a site please email me at vigna.[protected]@gmail.com and I will do my best to help you as well. Best of luck, John
Re: No Subject trade
Where's my page I paid for a lifetime page. My family and I have been looking and looking all we see is it's under the service and check back in a few days that's been over a month. We right to Gabriel we read his letters that are on there we like candles we can't do anything. We can't even just read what was there originally even if we can't post we can't see his pictures we can't see his obituary where is memory- of.com seems like the whole page is gone?
Desired outcome: Fix
I cannot access the site
I have had a memorial site for my daughter since December 2006. I cannot access the site. There is no contact information, so that leaves me no way of contacting someone to see what has happened. This is the time of the year when there is more family & friends visit this site. It is visited regularly by immediate family and her children throughout the year. No one can find the webpage. I paid in full for a life-time webpage. This is very heartbreaking!
MemoryOf.com website
I paid for a permanent memorial page through this company. I have not been able to access the site for some time now. (Memory-of.com is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back in a few days.) I have continually checked back with the same message. If this website cannot hold up to their contract, people should be allowed to have access for a month period to remove photos and all other stuff attach to their page. They are definitely in breach of the commitment they made to all the members that paid them money in good faith. It they were not planning on running the site permanently, they should never have offered it. I have over 15 years worth of data and photos on this site that family and friends have posted. They have really taken advantage of grieving families.
Desired outcome: I would like the site back up and running or send out notices for people to have a month timeframe to remove their data
Two lifetime memorials lost
I paid for the following lifetime websites
http://darren-pullin.memory-of.com/
http://irene-upjohn.memory-of.com/
Which we have not been able to access for a very long time. Have we lost all of our memories on there? When will access to the site resume? Why were we not informed of this before it happened?
Our families are distraught about this.
Cheryl Grant (Upjohn)
Desired outcome: Websites restored
I also had 2 lifetime Memorial sites
http://shawn-preston-rego.memory-of.com/
http://donaway-shylow-rego.memory-of.com/
Both down for over a year (Memorial weekend 2021)
I lost photos others have shared, and condolences from friends who have now passed away. I am heartbroken over this. I have had MANY nightmares over this = too many tearful sobbing nights. I just don’t know what to do
I paid a lifetime fee for [protected]@memory-of.com and it has been removed/unavailable for some time now.
Many irreplaceable pictures, stories and comments have been shared on my fathers memorial site we created and have been adding to since 2005. If the site is not going to function any longer I would ask that you at the very least, reactivate it for 1 month to allow time to copy and or remove the sensitive information so we can share it on another site are print it in a book.
Desired outcome: If the site is not going to function any longer I would ask that you at the very least, reactivate it for 1 month to allow time to copy and or remove the sensitive information so we can share it on another site are print it in a book.
I know exactly how you feel. I bought my site the end of 2004 beginning of 2005. Never really noticed a problem, at least not one that was detrimental until last year. Every year from Father’s Day on I use that website for sanity, for grieving. It’s been 18 years but nothings changed. Well I may have all my photos backed up, last year, when the website came up for a couple of months, I copied and paste it all the tributes and candle lighting but I haven’t been able to add any more for the last two years. I know what you’re feeling because I’m feeling it too. I just don’t know what to do, after many emails Henry played two, Facebook page that nobody looks at anything, and never got a reply. Surely there’s some thing we can do, that it doesn’t just get lost forever. It was a website. Nobody in their right mind should have that many problems with a website server. I never have. Sending prayers and I pray that together we can retrieve everything we’ve lost. God bless you
Hi I paid a lifetime fee and I'm devastated I have over 22 years of memories of friends who have written beautiful tributes abt my daughter Clancy I would give anything for them to reactivate it for 1 month to allow us time to copy how would we go abt getting this done can anyone please help many thanks, Ellen Brown
I am having the same issue as you...
Site Unavailable...
October 11, 2021: Today's Date
My 13 y/o son passed in 2005. Everything that was put into the site, all the messages, all the photos, tributes, were all a step in the healing process. It's a shame that all the effort and memories are just sitting in the dark somewhere. I feel for everyone who has/had devoted their time, efforts, and memories, only to find that they no longer can be found. This site should have informed ALL of the families ahead of time instead of just pulling the curtain with no notifications. It is very hurtful to all of us who have lost our loved ones. They have collected money from all of us who are "lost" or in mourning without any consideration for any of us. This site should at least offer everyone an opportunity to be able to retrieve all the photos, tributes, and everything else that is associated with each of our loved one's site, as this belongs to "US". This is very sad as my son's departure date is in a couple of days.

Desired outcome: Site back up or all members offered a way to have all items on their loved ones site be retrieved.

I ordered lifetime access to Memory of website for my son who passed away 14 years ago. His name is Edward Pedrick. I went to light a candle on his death date of October 6th and it says there is a temporary error. Now in reading some of the other complaints it looks like it's been done longer. What am I to do? 14 years of photos, poems & letters, candles are gone. It feels like I lost him all over again. Someone please help! My email account is [protected]@aol.com.

Desired outcome: Fix website
Site is unavailable
In October Of 2004 my sister purchased this ‘lifetimes' site
For my deceased son. For the last few years I am not able to download any pictures, music, or dedications. It allowed me to just light a candle. Now I went to the website today, Sunday, October 10, 2021 and it says it is temporary unavailable. It's my son‘s anniversary and birthday in October and I'm extremely disappointed That this site is defunct. Who do I complain to? And what happens to the money my sister paid?
Desired outcome: Activate the site again to perform all functions from The birth of this website.
