Pay increases
When I hired in at Staffmark I was told by your representative that I would receive pay increases on 30, 60 and 90 day evaluation, well I received very good evaluation on each by the company I was assigned to. When I inquired about my pay increases, Staffmark said that the company was to give them, I went to the HR department and they explained that it was Staffmark's responsibility, (which I already knew). I never received my increases, that was one of the reasons I accepted the job for Staffmark the incentive. The rep lied. I wonder how many other people they have done this too, false advertising
Desired outcome: The be given my 3 pay increases
Services
I been calling for the past 2weeks. And no one seems to answer. I always leave a message with my name and phone number but I never get a call back. I'm tired of always calling and calling and calling and no one wants to answer the phone. And I called at all the branches. STAFFMARK IN DESOTO
STAFFMARK IN ARLINGTON
STAFFMARK IN MESQUITE
STAFFMARK IN RICHARDSON
NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!
Shorted my check
I worked 3 days, plus 2 hours on an assignment I quit. 8.0 hours each on 3-27 thru 3-29, plus 2.0 hours on 3-30-23, the day I walked out in frustration. The rate was $21.00 but I was 2nd shift so I was also supposed to get $1.10 extra for premium. Not only did I only get paid for 17.75, but it was also at the base $21.00 rate.
I've called and got the automated run-around and also left a message at the local branch as they "were busy with others" to answer the phone and haven't gotten a call back. If they don't call, I will drive directly to my local branch and do whatever else I have to, to get my payroll. Sounds like this is a common problem for years with this company.
Thank you!
Desired outcome: I would like the rest of my payroll direct deposited to my account. They owe me 8.25 hours at the 2nd shift rate of $22.10, plus 17.75 hours at $1.10 premium since they only paid out at $21.00.

It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
Consistently inconsistent
I initially applied for position in Minnesota a couple weeks ago. I have to say that the methods of recruitment and hiring that Staffmark uses are unusual and alienating.
There's been no human contact, a few emails and occasional text's. It's been so slow that I began searching elsewhere for employment. The person who reached out to me via text, was seemingly not really interested and responses to my inquiries were addressed sometimes on the same day, sometimes a few days later. Now I'm no longer hearing from her at all, but a new person is contacting me regarding testing.
Why is there no way to call and speak to a human being? I would drive to the Staffmark location near me but "Staffmark", according to Google maps, isn't even there?!?!
As I said, this has been going on for a couple weeks and we are just now at this point? Phone calls would've made it so much faster, and I would be working for you already.
I'd contact Staffmark directly but even that is made more difficult than it should be, The helpline seems to be experiencing "technical difficulties" non stop, broken or circling links and no way to just send staffmark an email directly.
Enough is enough, Staffing agencies are everywhere, I'm no longer interested in working for Staffmark.
Desired outcome: Staffmark representatives should be "real" and we should be able to speak to them. "Virtual offices" are normally something scammers use and it raises too many red flags.
Staffmark/prostaff employment services employees
I originally went to the richardson location off of Renner rd. And Jennifer was very helpful. I called her for a week, left messages, my calls were never returned, nor was I contacted to be told that the job was no longer available or to speak to me about other opportunities. She said I’d be sent to Shutterfly and she’d call me. She never called with the start date so I drove back out there only to sit in the lobby and listen to their personal conversation about parties, trivia and whatever else! I finally started recording them when another employee yelled from a office and I was still sitting there. Finally Rita come out to assist me (obviously the only person in that office doing her job because it was her initials all down the sign in sheet) she told me my background wasn’t done and that Shutterfly wasn’t needling anymore people. Rita ran my background for another position and said I’d start next week next week came and I received a call saying the position was no longer available and that there was a position available so I said I’d take it if there wasn’t heavy lifting. She too never got back in touch with me and didn’t respond to my email. I was involved in a fired sue to no fault of my own and I’ve been going through some difficult times every since, and now I’m behind on my bills and my cars up for repo. Staffmark has been lying to me since November about jobs and I’m very disappointed. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with staffmark until now, I’ve lost all respect for this company and really feeling like if I was Hispanic this wouldn’t be an issue! NOW IM ON STAND BY FOR BATH AND BODY WORKS FOR DESOTO/IRVING - and my thing is why is it so hard to get someone to keep you up to date so that you don’t come across to creditors as a liar. I’m very upfront and when I saw I’m going to call someone I do and I’m looking like a liar because I can’t even tell them start dates. I’m on edge and very tired. People keep saying things about staying positive and god and I don’t have the patience anymore. Times are getting harder and maybe staffmark recruiters need to be without pay for not replying to emails and messages because it is part of their job description. It’s very frustrating to keep being blown off and told about jobs you’ve already told them you can’t do. Just because someone is desperately seeking employment doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be shown respect while doing so. I’m older and know how to conduct myself in business and these employees do not! ESPECIALLY JENNIFER AND THE RENNER OFFICE! Staffmark has truly gone downhill and I hope y’all get back on track! I have a recording but it can’t be shared but it’s d love to play it for someone.
Desired outcome: These offices to do better about answering their phones, returning phone calls and responding to emails

Job recruitment
They contacted me through email about a job I applied to on their website, as soon as I responded to the email, they contacted me through text message, not phone, with what seemed like an automated machine, I was asked a few yes or no questions then given three interview choices (telephone), I chose the second one, which was two days later, well the day after I received the automated text messages, I went back to the website where I originally found the job I applied for (not the company website) to look for more jobs and found out that the job I was supposed to interview for was already closed, I contacted the automated text message number and got no response (obviously, since everything was automated), the next day, I didn't receive the "interview call" that I was supposed to receive, talk about prank, hard to trust job recruiters these days

Well the my supervisor named Fredrick Sloan sexual harassed me by touching me and he also threatened me by looking up private information. When I declined he offers he told me that this female coworker a promotion. Mind you she wasn't working there longer than me. He touched me private areas also. He turned everyone against me and never gave me a raise. I told the staffing agency and management but nothing was done. So now I'm getting a lawyer.

Staffmart incident on Tuesday, January 19. I used to work at CEVA through Staffmart. I tried to get into work close to 6:00 p.m. and my badge didn't work. A security officer was right behind me and made a comment about my badge not working. I tried once more- then he asked for my badge. He looked for my name in a book he had at the desk...my name was not...

Company works you 90 days, and they only offered one place to work, and then they tell you that the company is interested in hiring you, they pay you less then what the company is paying, no benefits, and at the end of the 90 days they call you on the phone and tell you, "Your services are no longer required" out of my group of about 12 people I saw no one hired, the company keeps about 32 temps working for the company at all times, but they cut the temps lose, after the 90 days, they are no real job, and my last pay check of 40 hours I am told they cut a paper check, which I am yet to received, also clocking in and out is a joke, was there about a month before they got me on there clock which should be illegal.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Employees are treated extremely badly. If the company were on the Titanic, you work there but aren't management, you'd be the last one off.
took back job offer last minute
I had quit my job on 5/2/14 to start a new job (due to me being laid off in the department I was initially working in and also me being transferred to a different department where my hours were reduced from 40 hours to about 25 hours. The new job that I was supposed to be working at put me thru the whole new hire process (they had me fill out a whole bunch of paperwork with my confidential information (including my social security number, date of birth and driver’s license number) on it, did a background check, made photo copies of my driver's license and social security card, came in for a drug test, etc). I was told that I was going to start working the following week beginning 5/5/14. After a whole week went by and not hearing back from the hiring manager (Keiri Almeida who works as an on- site manager for Staffmark in Dedham, MA) I decided to give her a call. I spoke with her the week beginning 5/19/14 and she stated that her boss told her to hold off on bringing me in to start working; when I asked her for a further explanation she could not give too many details. Another week and a half went by and once again I had not heard back from Keiri so I had to give her a second call to see what the holdup was. When I spoke with her the second time, she stated that someone of higher authority believed that the job position that I was supposed to be filling was no longer needed. I explained to Keiri that I had quit my job to work for this position. She stated that she completely understands and that she is going to have a big meeting with her boss and the undisclosed person of higher authority that was behind taking back the job offer and will get back to me as soon as possible the following day (to this day I have not heard back at all from Keiri). It has been well over a month now since I last heard from Keiri and she did not reach out to me after the last time I spoke to her with any updates which I believe is very unprofessional. I have been behind on all of my bills and my bank account has been overdrafted multiple times thanks to this inconsiderate individual.

unprofessional response to employment inquiry
On the above date, I submitted my resume for possible review for vacancies with Mas Tec through the above employment agency via email. I had been advised by a former co-worker and friend that the above staffing agency would be hiring to fill a new training class scheduled to begin on 07.11.11. I had previously attempted to contact the recruiter in charge, but was unable to speak with her and she did not return my call. The friend in question suggested I submit my resume directly to her email and that is what I did.
The above recruiter called me approximately an hour later and stated she needed to ask me a "couple of questions." She proceeded to inquire about my recent work history and stated that I had not lasted more than 1 year with any previous employer. I answered her subsequent related questions and she proceeded to state that she knew the company in question well and wanted to only recruit serious persons who would not leave if they were offered higher pay, etc. During our conversation, the recruiter in question placed me on hold on 3 different occassions and did not follow proper phone etiquette.
Additionally, her tone became more and more agressive and proceeded to berate me over my personal employment history. She further denigrated my record by stating the person who had "recommended" me was doing very well in training and had an excellent employment record himself. She stated that they would honor his recommendations because of the above, but that my answers were in contrast to what my answers to her questions were. At the point at which the recruiter continued to chide me for my personal employment history, I asked her if this was a "cross examination." She proceed to ask me if this meant that I was not interested. I told that it did mean I was not interested and I disconnected the call.
My complaint is not about her right to screen potential candidates for good employment history and other qualities, but for the manner in which she quickly cut down my personal history and in a sense dismissed me as an inadequate candidate. Further, her lack of tact and understanding of the reasons why workers need to leave employment was sadly poor and she did not display the simplest form of respect or willingness to work with me and explain her reasons in a manner that did not totally diminish the caller.
It has been my experience with several employment agencies that I have in a sense bent over backwards to comply with all the requirments made of me and prove that I have the skills and the creditentials I place on applications and then I do not hear from them. Ms. Julie Oiterong's call with me was very upsetting, but it will not deter my job search. I am certain that in spite of this episode that I will find gainful employment with a company that will accept my fair days' work for a fair days' pay.
This demonstrates yet another of the unpleasant and hectic occurrences in the life of a job seeker.
Thanks very much for the opportunity to express my complaint here.
Agreed. All hiring managers at Staffmark are very rude. One of their names is michelle and works near the Vallejo, CA one. She is a ###, i advise everyone to stay clear of this agency
not recieving a check for the days I worked...
I had worked on 01/19/11 & 01/20/11 10 hours a day but they are denying my work, saying that I had never filled out any applicant. & haven't gave them 2 formed IDs' .
I had filled all the application plus took my drug test & gave the 2 formed I.Ds'. The next day I went to work. I still I my paper & direction p[lus my bandge to the company. I don't have any skylight card, so therefore my check should be mailed. Come & find out today 02/01/11 I haven't recieve anything. It just like I had worked for free & I needed the money, I do have bills to pay. Now they are telling other thing like I had never worked. I do have a first shift job but I worked for them at night & I do have proof. I would like to get paid, what's brlong to me.
So go to your local government office for Department of Labor and file a wage claim. That is the easiest way to get the money due. If more people would do that then businesses would know that they can't short-change people anymore and stop being greedy with their revenue. File a wage claim, yes the process can be lengthy, but that business does not want to be put in front of the State Government to answer why they did not pay for the hours worked. Most times you can receive double what you are due just because they did not pay you within the time frame for final paychecks. Stop accepting things as they are, make a difference and make your voice heard.
scam
This company is a nightmare to work with. They undercut people's pay routinely, and intentionally, hoping they will eventually get fed up with the run-around and just let it go. "Fake checks" isn't the way to put it, but it was the closest thing that was fitting. They don't even OFFER checks as an option. You need to choose either direct deposit or have the...
