I implore everyone to reconsider using Metro Adjustment Inc for anything. I was wrongfully represented, bamboozled, while I was vulnerable and in a state of shock of the possibility of losing my home to fire. My insurance company awarded me $7779.00, when Metro and their cohorts got finished I received $714.00, I can not repair my property with what was left.

I am a State licensed Public Adjuster and metro are cockroaches . They blanket an area and hire everyone they can and then have them hire everyone they know ( a pyramid scheme ) and then they crawl the neighborhoods . They have no clue how to adjust a loss correctly, they take too long and then will take every penny they can . They give the rest of the legit PA's a bad name . PA's will typically get you more money then the insurance company offers, not by doing anything illegal or just jacking the prices, but by being diligent and thorough . A claims adjuster for the insurance company has a set timeline, so too many times he/she is forced to write a scope ( estimate ) in a real short amount of time ( usually hour or two ), then they submit numbers, where a PA will send in an expert who can take hours even days if necessary to write a scope, so when this happens you are able to point out where the adjuster missed items and this will put more money into the homeowners settlement . If you read about PA's most sites will advise you to hire one, why a person would let the person who owes them the money, dictate to them how much they will receive and then who to use to rebuild their house is ridiculous . The vendors they want you to use, are working for the insurance and are willing to work at the numbers they insurance dictates, not on what they should actually be getting to fix the house properly . So if you need a PA, do your homework, there are ton of good ones, but RUN, RUN from metro as fast as you can, just look at their record and BBB online and that says it all ..

They tell you that there 'are no out of pocket costs to you' and 'the insurance company pays our fee'. To an extent that is true because they take their fee (35% in my case) off the top of the insurance settlement. That leaves you, in most cases, with not enough money to make repairs. Then YOU have to make up the difference out of your pocket. They keep stringing you along with the hope you may get more, but I sincerely doubt they do anything at all except file your claim for you. I could have done that myself in about 1/2 hour.

I haven't seen any estimate written up by them regarding my loss that they would use to negotiate with my insurance company. In fact the only thing I have from them is the copy of the contract that I wish I never signed. If your neighbor or someone from your church starts talking about Metro, just RUN AWAY!
If the rating scale went into negative stars I would give them that. I give them an F+ and the + is only because they probably placed the call to my insurance company to start the process. If you think 10, 20, 30, 35% of your claim is worth that call, use them. After that, you can reply to the guy from Nigeria that has the winning lottery ticket, but can't turn it in and will give you a percentage if you send him your back account numbers.

Notwithstanding the former comments, Metro has a 99.98% satisfaction rate. Being the largest PA firm in the nation means that they do close to 1000 claims per month. Doing that math, unfortunately 2 people per month will not be happy no matter what happens. In a service
business, that is par for the course.
I would suggest to anyone not happy with their particular claim contact Metro at [protected] and ask to speak with the Director of Operations. I am sure that any problem that you may have experienced, can be resolved amicability.
To the other PA who work the derogatory remarks, all I can say is that that's exactly what the competition would say. That is what gives PA's a bad name.

Wow, 99.98% satisfaction. And just where did those numbers come from? Metro headquarters?

Sorry, but I have my facts about my experience straight. They reviewed my case notes so I know when they were contacted and about what.
All they did was fax a description of the loss to MY insurance company. Oh well maybe that's not entirely true, they did place a call to verify that the insurance company cut me a check so they could get their percentage. Other than that nothing! Out of frustration, I placed calls to my insurance company to straighten out some issues with the claim.
What I get from Metro is nothing but BS and the run-around. This one is going to check with that one, "there could be $xxxx more in your claim" etc. The red flag should have gone up when the adjuster saw some damage inside the house and said "this would be an easy claim", even though he didn't know how the damage happened. His conduct with the insurance company adjuster was so unprofessional that he felt it necessary to apologize to him.
You can think what ever you want. All I know is that faxing a piece of paper isn't worth 35% to me. Count me in the .02% that would NEVER use Metro again.

That is unfortunate. You should give a call to the Director of Operations, btw, how long ago was this claim?

Still ongoing but I was told that what I got is going to be what I get which is exactly what the insurance company adjustor wrote up...minus the 35% of course

In regards to Metro I was a customer and found them to do very well by me and some friends and family members. I know for a fact they will not take a fee if they cannot get you more money from your insurance company and it is right in the agreement you sign with them. The complaints where it states they took a fee from the same amount the insurance company already offer is an untrue statement, just read the paperwork you sign with them, they actually agree to not take a fee if they cannot get you more funds then you already received on your own. The lady with the fire, if you were already offered an amount and it was agreed upon by the insurance company then that is impossible to lose that much.

Remember some folks just like to complain even when they are given the best service possible, like a waitress who gives great service and cannot just cannot make everyone happy because some people just do not know how to be happy with good service. This applies to any industry, can't please them all.

A company with a 99.98% satisfaction rate is OK by me and should be by most standards, be reasonable, people even hate Donald Trump but the over all performance of his hotels is wonderful! You can't make everyone happy because some people are just unhappy people and never satisfied, but again Metro has done well by me, family members and friends of mine and I would recommend them over and over, how could you not with a 99.98% satisfaction rate?

Plus, the PA who is their competition and make his statements, hey it is the competition do you really expect him to play nice with a company who has taken business away from him, who would like a company like that? I dislike my competition in the construction field because they took business away some times, it is a free country but it happens. Cannot believe a person who tells you he/she is the competition.

You don't have to use your "3 friends and family." Any three claims will do! As you know, this is a state licensed profession, and they can not pay you until you have a license from the state..

i guess doing family and or friends is like part of training which is why they want you 100% licensed to do anyone else and then they reimburse you once completed it sounds like a scam

Of the fees you are talking about, only $40 goes to Metro, the other fees go to the agency that runs the test for the state and the state itself Metro is charging you $40 for the training and reimbursing $450 once you finish training. Those fees are set by these outside agencies NOT by Metro.

This operation calls for a serious investigation...Why don't the FEDS and State fine then or close them down? Something dose not add up! They must have some political connections. This just can’t be legal? In my 50 years of business I have never seen anything operate like this without the FEDS eventually getting involved. What the hell are they doing? Exploiting nice honest hard working people.

Metro has been in business since 1995, nothing illegal about it. Feel free to let the department of Justice know. Here's their link.
http://www.justice.gov/usao/contact.html I work for Metro in the midwest region, we are very comfortable with you contacting any enforcement agency you would like. Let me know if I can send you any other addresses.
