All the mail notifications whatever you will receive that you are won this 1000000 or [protected] amount ...this is absolutely fraud mails
and I am one of the person was cheated by this fraud mail and I lost my
400$...initially they will tell we will transfer your amount to your bank amount but afterwards they will start asking money ..you need to send a some amount for money transfer...like this and that...and finally they will run away ...so be careful so if you received any mail like this please give a complaint against local cyber police and ignore this type of mails.

They got me for 7.99 and I cancelled the debit card. I called MSFT ADCenter and he couldn't tell me anything unless I gave him the last 4 digits of my debit card. Of course, I did not do that. This is insane but at least I caught it early. He told me that I must have a company in my name and when someone does an internet search and clicks on my company I am charged. He searched using my name but didn't come up with anything. I don't have any type of company. Watch your bank statements very closely!

Same here. They charged me 3 transactions, a total of HKD8, 000. This is insane, this has happened for years and banks still allow them to charge credit cards so easily, they can get this kind of info on web like complantsboard, [redacted], etc...but still they don't do such prevention. My card was issued by a bank called Bank of East Asia, a tiny bank in Hong Kong. So I guess I will be more be careful when choosing credit card issuer next time.

I had just 3 charges on my card two for $ 1 each and the big one with over $ 980, i called right away my bank and the frauddepartment, hope to get my money back. I see this goes on forever and still nobody stopped them yet ?

Print out this page and as much information like this that shows this company is a fraud, and your banks should reverse charges. then you call them every day all day get on their nerve call them curse them out dont threaten them for no reason but curse them out ask for your money over and over and tell them you wont stop until they give you back your money. they should get tired of your calls and give you back your money for you to shut up and stop disrupting their business. you can also go to the state office and report them for scams, start a class action since these people have been doing this for a while and it includes some company you have purchase from selling your information to these people. Dont give up work together all of you and fight go to [redacted] and complain, close your account and purchase only with debit cards.

Microsoft I tried access to the website and doesn't exist

I buy the software from earnmicrosoftcash/impact wealth solutions, but when I try to access to the website, for more information, the web page doesn't exist, but they made the charge to my credit card, and i'm trying to cancel, and now I can't, because the [protected]@earnmicrosoftcash.com website doesn't exist either, for me is a fraud

You can cancel anytime if you contact the appropriate Customer Service rep at any of these companies. What numbers did you call?
I had no problem contacting them or finding the websites online.

Try calling [protected] or go to www.microsoftcash.com and you
can go to the contact page and either e-mail them or live chat with someone during the day anytime.

Try again and stop compaining.

They are thieves! POS's... (pieces of ###)... I want to track them down and hang them. America needs to show some backbone and HAMMER on these types of scams!

I can't get my money back...and I sure as hell am not going to fill out a form for a refund with my card #... They already sold the card # to someone else.

Please contact your bank as soon as possible to resolve this problem. You can get rid of this fraud by getting a new card from your bank and blocking the current one. All your money will be refunded from the bank after you fill a form provided by your bank.

I bought a microsoft cash 2 cd from this site, on November 10, 2008 they took out of my debit card account $1.95 for the the disc. I never saw in written that i was going to be billed later on for more. When i tried looking back into the site it said that there was no such site. Then on November 17, 2008 i later found out that $45.95 was taken out of my debit account. On my debit card account statment for December nothing was taken out. Then on the December 31, 2008 $65.95 was taken out my debit card account again, and i had already placed a complaint on this site a month ago but was cancelled because they never responded back.

In regards to the initial comment, support@earnmicrosoftcash.com isn't a website, it's an email address. That may be your first problem.

Anyway, I'm really curious what everyone is doing or not doing regarding canceling their accounts. I got the kit, paid my $1.97 (before doing so, I read and printed all the Terms & Conditions stuff, The $49.95 charge is outline in them, as are the cancellation terms), saved the confirmation page (like they tell you to do) with the links to all the information, website and so on. Checked everything out (for the record, for being a "scam" as so many people are calling them, their business management website and what not did seem totally legit, like this isn't something that was thrown together over night... anyway), but decided that their kit wasn't for me, so I emailed them at support@earnmicrosoftcash.com (I made sure outlook was set to send me a receipt that they opened the email, I received it about 2 hours after sending my cancellation email. I printed copies of both the cancellation email, and the receival receipt), received a cancellation form, printed it, filled it out and sent it certified mail so I had a receipt showing they received it, and my account was canceled. I never paid anything other than the initial $1.97.

I'm not writing this to support them, but I'm not calling them a straight up scam either. I'm writing this because as we all know, there are legitimate things online, and there are scams. Whenever purchasing something like this online, you need to read and print EVERYTHING. Everyone is mad about the $49.95 charge, but it is outlined in the Terms & Conditions. Everyone is mad about the cancellation process, but once again it is outlined in the Terms & Conditions. The reason your banks aren't disputing the charges is because technically, and legally you did agree to them when you clicked "submit." If you would have read everything, you would have known this... Also, if you had printed everything, had email receipts of them receiving your cancellation email, and sent your cancellation form through certified email, you would now have all the valid information to show your bank that you did exactly what you were supposed to within the time frame you were supposed to, and you wouldn't have a problem charging back.

I've learned from mistakes in the past, and now make sure to document everything, and haven't lost anything since. But like I said earlier, these guys canceled me right away because I followed the Terms on their website. Maybe I'm the lucky one... but when I read things like "BECAUSE THE support@earnmicrosoftcash.com WEBSITE DOESN'T EXIST EITHER" I have to start wondering.

I too signed up for the earn microsoft cash and paid the 1.97 and have already been billed for the 49.95 and I am livid. I'm just a single mother of a disabled child trying to find something I can do at home to be with my son more and these theives are stealing money from people just trying to make it in these hard times. Please if anyone finds out who is doing this and what to do please contact me.

When I found uot this was a scam, I went to the bank told them my account has been debted without my consent, and they got my money back, but I had to close my accout and opened another to fix the problem EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS ASAP.

Microsoft no solution to impractable invoice proof of purchase system

I have tried to purchase student software known as the Ultimate Steal. I tried last year but there was a problem with paypal for a lot of students. By the time that this was sorted. I had no money and the offer was over. I tried again at the end of September. Again same issue with Paypal.

I was told to re-submit my order using my credit card. When I did it said that my basket was empty. I sent multiple e-mails about the problem and they gave me multiple solutions to my problem. None of them worked. I was told to cancel the present invoice on my name and start again. I still keep getting the same message that my basket is empty. I later found out the new invoice which is still stuck on my name does not work because it does not exist on digital river's system and yet customer services (who you can only e-mail) keep on telling me to re-order and not listening to a word I say.

I am very stressed from this ordeal as I am under a lot of pressure with my new year of law with deadlines I have to meet. I am relying on this software. I have expressed to digital river that I am annoyed with their incompetence but they dont care. Please help.

Well, once again Microsoft has succeeded in making ### of themselves. I am referring to the new Windows 10 upgrade. They already managed to assinine themselves with Windows Vista, but that wasn't good enough for them. Windows 10 is slow, too confusing, took way too long to install, and not worth the dynamite to blow 10 and Vista to the planet Pluto. Fortunately, a restore point is made for you before the upgrade starts, m so you can roll back to Windows 7 or Windows 8. As for me, I will stick to those. Thanks for nothing Microsoft. Microsoft discontinued the Zune. All of us are upset and think these ### should reciprocate. Now we in a recession have to buy the Xbox at 500.00 a pop and the zune customers did not get any discounts tward the units. If you notice, all their contact details, especially the email address are obvious fakes - if they are going to yahoo mail, hotmail, etc and not direct to a business address, it is almost guaranteed a fake, if they require you to provide personal details - another sign of a fake, if you haven't entered a competition - another likely fake, almost all of these have bad spelling and grammar errors . . another sign, if they sound like they are trying to name drop - another sign of a fake, if they don't provide a phone number local to your country - another sign of a fake. . .etc. . . People need to be more awake and stop thinking they will get something for nothing! And one last thing as I flick through most of these submissions .. . . "Dear Sir/Madam, Dear Winner, Dear "anything other than your full name" ". If they don't know who you are they aren't going to give you millions of dollars!

Anyways, I'm supposed to be working - as I haven't won 10, 000, 000 Euros in the latest Microsoft Jackpot for endangered furry animals with big ears and sharp claws, I must work for my money.

yes I have been receiving thousands of the same sorts of letter from many sources saying from nokia, uk lotto, europe lotto, so and so.
receiving that kind of junk mails are so annoying. One time, I tried to call the number that mention in the letter. A guy answered and told me that ' so, you received the email?' I said, yes. and he said you need to send me £ 500 for the courier charges. then i know that that was a scam. I am thinking of reporting official about this scam. But I am not sure how far I should go. Tell me what you think please

I was contacted on my yahoo email adress by a Suzan De-kurt claiming to be from mickrosoft online promotions. They happily announced that my email address have won UK MICROSOFT LOTTERY of 2, 000, 000.00 Great Britain Pounds. All you have to do is fill in the form and contact your claim agent, a sertain [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]@hotmail.com. Tel +[protected] Fax +[protected]. Amazing I feel like such a winner. I just thought microsoft would be interessted to know they now owe me 2000, 000.00 Great Britain Pounds becaues for some reason I dont think Miss de- kurt works for microsoft.

Microsoft terrible support!!!

In January 2008 I had called Microsoft to cancel my XBOX Live subscription since it auto renewed far a full year and I no longer had an XBOX. They would not refund my money, but said I had to pay for what I had used. I said fine, but I wanted it canceled IMMEDIATELY. Well several months later I was looking at my credit card statement closely and realized there were charges for XBOX Live on there. Apparently they put me on month to month billing for an account that was supposed to be cancelled. I called Microsoft and told them that I had tried to cancel this account months ago, and that I would like them to refund my money, since this was clearly their mistake. They refused. I asked to be escalated to a manager that I could submit a complaint about this situation, and the phone representative refused to do so. I asked if there was a place I could write a written complaint, and the women said I should go online to xbox.com to do so. There is no place to do this on xbox.com. I am fed up. I will never purchase anything with a Microsoft logo again if they do not fix this!

Well not only did only realise you have to pay a monthly fee to use the xboxlive so i registered my card for the monthly fee, then my son started to buy things for his "AVATAR" and spent £1000 of my money over 6 months! Non refundable, i am now in so much debt, i could lose my house!

Xbox live Customer support is shocking, my account was corrupt so i phoned xbox and they said it was my connection at first, so i phoned my internet provdider and they said my connection was fine, that same day i was told by a differnt person that 1 of the xbl servers was down and it would be fixed within 2 days, 2 days laiter i could still not recover my gamertag so i phoned them up and they said it will be escalated further as they think it is corrupt and that it could take between 3-5 days to sort out and they would phone me if they had sorted it out, 5 days later, no phone calls, and i could still not recover my gamertag, so i phoned again and a differnt technichian said they could still not work out why its not working and said it could take another 2 weeks to sort out, to be honest i dont care about the account any more, i just want a refund of over 8000 microsoft points that i had on the account and my membership refunded, i just think xbox is rubbish when something goes wrong, and yet there are no ways to put a formal compllaint in you cant ring and complian, cant post complaints on xbox.com, so i dont no what to do now.

Yeah, these guys are worse than the Wall Street bandits! Did the same to us even though we had a 13 month prepaid credit they billed the already canceled credit card...since the transaction failed they interrupted service until they could get a credit card to bill for another 12 months making a total of 25 months. The Customer service person actually tried to say that the prepaid and credit card were two different kinds of money...and I guess up is d0wn, black is white, the sky is water...

Exactly what I am going through. I told my son, "Never again". I'm online looking up a place to file a complaint. Better Business Bureau? Microsoft, you should be ashamed of your practices. Sickening. Anyone who works there as a "customer service representative" should seriously hang their heads in shame. How can you go to work everyday knowing what you are doing to your fellow man? The sickest part is that children ask parents to sign up for this crap and then the parents can't drop it without a major hassle. I had to cancel my debit card to end this nightmare.It doesn't stop there, though. Now I must inform all my automatic bill payment accounts that I have new account numbers before they try to deduct payments from my old number. NEVER AGAIN. BELIEVE IT.

Microsoft systematically uses these tactics to raise income. I canceled my sons xbox acct on sep 20, 2008 after 49 minutes on the phone. I was told he had two more days to play though already paid. (he did not play though) The rep said I would not be billed again. An independent customer service rep called on sept 26 to see how the service was. I told them it took 49 min to cancel this and service was extremely poor. The independent rep said she would put us at the top of a priority list and we would be recieving a cal on the 29 (no call) Lo and behold got my the credit card bill today and they billed for another month of service on Sept 22. Spent another 32 minutes on the phone tonight and was told the bill was retroactive for the previous month. HUH. My son only signed up for one month and it took us awhile to figure out they began charging us every month. Its not about the few dollars to me but the principal. Microsoft are thieves. This is ripe for a class action lawsuit. It is easy to deny someone over the phone for $7.99 and know that they want spend the effort to right the wrong for this amt. I will call my credit card tomorrow to block future charges.

I can soooo relate to this. This is exactly what happened to me the other day.

This is the worst support I've ever come across. I too cancelled my son's x-box live from my M/C, to only find out they continued to deduct money from M/C for next 3 months.

I contacted them again and explained that they should refund me the last 3 months subscription fees because I did the right thing and had already cancelled previously, they said they could not do this and could not provide me with logical reason as to why, they just kept speaking their stupid programmed replies.

I did demand to speak to their supervisor - I was left on hold for 20 mins before I spoke to him to only get the same response.

This was my money how can they get away with this?

Microsoft csr/tos support

On the 19th of August 2008 I got notification on my Xbox Live account saying that I was suspended for "Inappropriate Content" on my profile because of the three letter "A" word. As I admitted that I was at fault when my account got re-activated on the 21st I fixed the issue immediate upon reinstatement. The evening of the 21st I was then suspended again for a week and called Xbox Live support. They too told me since I violated the Terms of Service that they couldnt do anything for me. When asked if I could talk to someone who could, all they told me was "this is the highest level you can talk to." When asking for proof, they said they didnt have to offer any. I immediately told them to cancel my account.

Personally, I could care less if I was at fault for my own mistakes. I admit to my mistakes on the 19th but after I fixed it and was suspended again, I think that they are the rudest people around and theres no way to "appeal" for something that was purely false. I am on the verge of making sure Microsoft gets ruined because of their conduct since I havent been the first person to have had this happen.

My minor son had his account banned because of cheating. I have asked the enforcement team to give minor's a second chance and they are rude with their answers. I am going back and forth to the point I am looking to contact Microsoft Corp to file a complaint. Have you reached any resolution to your problem?

Microsoft extended warranty

Bought extended warranty. Disc door frequently gets stuck and machine has frequent disc read errors. Took it in and tech went to verify my claims. The tech observed the disc drive door was stuck, and he put pressure against on side of the door to get it to open. Tech was not able to see any disc read errors because he used a game that did not stream data from the disc.
He said he couldn\'t replace the system because he had to see the disc read error. I asked for the manager. Manager came over and explanined they needed to see the problem. I can understand that, there are a lot of dishonest people. So I said the disc door getting stuck was a malfunction and the manager agreed and asked the tech if he could verify that the door was getting stuck. The tech flat out lied and said \'I just pushed the eject button and it opened\'. When I tried it again, the door did open with the manager there (of course). So I then asked the tech point blank, \"when you first hooked up the xbox and hit the eject button, was the disc door stuck\". The tech gave the same reply, \'I hit the button and it opened\'. He would not answer yes or no. So I wound up not getting my xbox replaced because the tech lied and would not be honest about the malfunctioning drive door he observed.
I tried to escalate the problem to corporate, but they just kept referring me back to the store manager. Fry\'s replies on bulk sales, and don\'t care about the occasional burned customer. They can afford to lose business from the occasional customer. I have since not shopped at Fry\'s, instead purchasing all my games at stores with real customer support services.

This is a scam that has been going on for over three years. IT IS NOT REAL!
There have been various subtle changes with each new scam, but believe
me they are all fraudulent. I know this after I received a similar email about
a year and a half ago. So did thousands of other people. Rather than get caught up in it, I investigated.Long story short, the news media and law enforcement got involved and it boiled down to Microsoft had nothing whatsoever to do with the emails and in fact knew nothing about them until
they began receiving hundreds of calls from hopeful participants. So once again, IT IS A FRAUD! TSHFCE, Sacramento, CA U.S.A.

Microsoft malfunction in hardware

The Xbox 360 was suppose to be the hottest game console out, but turned to be junk... We purchased the unit as christmas gift for out son, by February it did not work, we sent it back & they replaced the unit, which also does not work. It is difficult to understand how can you purchase a play station unit & it last for years, the Xbox doesn't make it through 1 year. When you call Xbox of course it is out of warranty you paid $99.00 to have it repaired or replaced & again you told it is a hardware malfunction. Ms was aware of the issues this product & fell they owe the consumers a refund for the game and all accessories.

the xbox 360 console is a shame, this multi million, or even billion pound company, cant even make a console with out defects, i have over 10 friends with 360's and they have all broken down more than 5 times, its worse now with the new games out, our consoles are always freezing, check wikipedia for the techinal problems and causes, one of the worst is the fact microsoft replaced a graphics chip with there own cheap one to save money, its gross negligence, and i suggest you, and all who this has happened to file a lawsuit, or contact trading standards

microsoft cant get away with this.

I am at this moment locked in dispute over a broken x box----sent away for repair and receive a message saying they wont do a repair as its been “tampered with” –ask for proof of this and they tell me to look under the front console at a seal? After 25minutes finally worked out how to remove the front console and sure enough the seal looks to be disturbed /not fitted correctly at manufacturers?

I know that neither myself or anyone in the household has done this so either

A it was like that when I bought from the store
Or
B it was done at the repair depot to get out of repairing it under warranty

As I say this is still under review and has left a bad taste in my mouth about ALL Microsoft products -----I don’t know what the final outcome of this will be but just seems to me that they are trying to shaft the little man who hasn’t the resources to take on these big corporations ----will certainly be thinking long and hard about future purchases of this brand

Microsoft unprofessionalism

I am billed each month on the 15th for my subscription to xbox live to play online with my kids. I got up early today to change from 1 month to 3 months so I didn't have to pay each month, I noticed after changing my billing on the xbox that I had already paid the 1 month subscription of 7.99 and I called them to ask them to "extend" my account for the months I have now paid for which is 4 months and the supervisor Patrick told me too bad that I should have changed it on the 13th because that's the day I signed up and not the 15 when the money is actually taken out of the account and he would not give me a refund for the 7.99, I told him I did not want one that I just wanted the 4 months I paid for and he refused, said I would be billed again in Aug. for another 3 mths. I asked him if he has ever gone to the grocery store piad for his food and then the cashier told him, "no sorry, you can only take half of your food you paid for" this is basically the same thing and he still refused and I then told him that I would be putting a stop payment on the 19.99 I just paid and he said I couldn't because it was already paid. so I called the bank and they said for me to fax in a dispute letter explaining what took place so I did.

Been hacked and they took all of my points and Microsoft does nothing to stop this...It has been going on since JAN 2017...They are hacking threw FIFA 12...If you get his and all of your points are gone you have been hacked...If you want to buy something on LIVE just buy and use the points you need don't let points build up...Microsoft is doing nothing to stop this hack...I am getting a PS 3 and getting rid of the xbox...Microsoft will not refund my points so they can get lost...

I called to have my credit card removed from my account in October 2017 and was assured that this was done. Now I find a charge for a Zune Pass subscription that my boys signed up for without my knowledge using the same card that was supposed to be removed. The customer service rep. I spoke with tells me that the card is now removed (again) from the account and the recurring charge is removed. But the charge that already came through would not be reversed! Apparently MicroSoft can't get their service straight. I will tell everyone I know not to ever give out your financial information to MicroSoft because it will not be safe from charges even after you have removed it from their system. After spending 4 hours on the phone over 2 days and getting the run around. Being transferred from one dept. to another over and over again told that it's not my dept. you need to speak with you need to call this number or that person. For all of my trouble and wasted time I would at least expect the company to have the decency to refund the charge. The lady on the phone even went as far as to insinuate that I had put my credit card number back in to the xbox and agree to the Zune Pass on an Xbox 360 that I never play. I am completely disgusted and am seriously considering deleting our families xbox live account!

There has been many extra charges to my credit card for which is more than expected. I am not understanding how these charges occured. 11/15/10-$7.99; 11/12/10; $9.99; 11/8/10, $7.99; 10/14/10-$7.99; 10/13/10- $7.99; 9/27/10-$19.99; 9/27/10-$19.99; 9/15/10-$7.99; 9/13/10-$7.99. I think some our legitamate charges for use of service but others are not. I would like to discuss these charges.

I was kicked off of xbox because a kid thought it might be funny to pose as a xbox hack attacker. He also accused me of hacking into games for points. He said I was showing inappropriate pictures to under age children. I dont even have a camera on my xbox. why are people aloud to go on xbox and tell lies and then the other person gets kicked off for no reason?
I hope you people have a talk with this kid. Its not very funny when you get kicked off for no reason.

Background: Early in 2017 the Playstation online gaming network was hacked and out of service for several weeks; it was later reported over 70 million accounts had been compromised...including their credit card information. Because of the Playstation fiasco I made a note to remove my credit card number from the Xbox Live gaming network; I keep my credit card online with Xbox Live so my annual renewal is 'automatic'; also it makes buying new maps and such REALLY easy!

First inconvenience: You CAN ADD the credit card number to Xbox Live through the Xbox 360; you CANNOT REMOVE the credit card number the same way...you MUST call Xbox Live to do this.

Second inconvenience: I called and had my credit card number removed from Xbox Live; however, several months later I went to buy some new maps for Call of Duty and MY CREDIT CARD number popped up as one of the payment options!

Third inconvenience: I called Xbox Live again to remove my credit card number (they had no record of my previous call!). This time they said that, since I had 8 months left on my annual membership, I would HAVE to transfer my Xbox Live credits (8 months worth) to their Xbox Live website MYSELF! They gave me several codes, about 18 digits long, that I had to 'redeem' at the Xbox Live website; it was NOT easy!

Major problem: I believe Xbox Live is making 'credit card removal' insanely difficult intentionally. I believe the reason is they DO NOT WANT their hundreds of millions of users to remove their easiest method of buying Xbox Live products...the credit card.

Have been getting charges from XBox livebill.ms.net on credit card statement. Cannot get an answer on why there are so many charges for this. I have 7 different charges for this and need to know who to call to get them to quit putting this on my credit card.

One day, as usual, I go on xbox live to play with my friends. I go to check who's on, but I see I have no friends when just the day before I had 98 friends. Then I am signed out of xbox live automatically because my credit card was suspended. I go to friend request my friends, but it says that the message could not be sent AND that my family settings restricted it, yet I have no family settings. I am really confused.

They have this great family plan and if you want to save money its great. The year subscription are like $59.99 a year but with this plan its $99.99 for 4 accounts a year. While the price is awesome the plan it self is problems. The primary account is the only one wroth having. The other 3 account you can not do the following: 1. buy Microsoft points, 2. download certain kinds of content, 3. control your settings. Those are the top three issues. Now its good if the account belongs to a child, but what if it belongs to an adult. They need to have an option that give the primary a way to give control over to the person who controls the account. For example: My husband has the main account and his 34 I have the 2nd account and I am 36 our son has 1 account and he is 18 and our daughter has the other and she is 14. My account and my son's should not have any of these issues since we are over 18. XBOX NEEDS TO FIX THIS NOW!

Microsoft windows vista has been a waste of my time and money

On two computers I've installed recently Printing from the internet is not possible because of the size of the print and distortion of the page. This happened on both computers at the same time. I am assuming it was from an upgrade from Microsoft. Microsoft is not supporting many vendors printers and provides no tech support other than 90 purchased support. That would be like FORD charging for a recall. Going back to XP is not an option I am considering strongly going to Linux or Mac. Vista has been a waste of my time and money.

I liked win98...forced to upgrade to XP and I like it. Tried vista on a new puter
and was DOA. Just a junk OS. Now windows 7 looks like a repackaged vista platform
too me. Still junk! I'm stickin too XP!

Maybe Microsoft has shares in Apple Corp? Which might explain the otherwise mysterious logic of spending five years to develop an OS which crashes if left alone for ten minutes.

I fear that microsoft with their Vista OS have done the hardware PC community a great disservice.
I was excited to receive my new compac computer (the fastest processor etc, etc to date - loaded with windows vista basic software - with that came the slowest, most laborious, frustrating experience of my computing life (20yrs = 5PC's). All my peripheral hardware - such as printers., digital cameras etc were not compatible - doing degree course work at the time made me set up my old PC with windows XP -re-installing drivers and files under a deadline made me close to a nervous collaspse!
My internet service was also incompatible and I gave them hell for not recogising that the lapse was due to their not being ready for vista and all the problems that ensued!
It was a very stressful time and if it was not for being able to access files at work and for my husbands Macbook I would have failed my course!
Consequently I have downloaded the regular updates that MS dish out daily to make this dire OS remotely compatible for basic use - and still encounter problems -such as screen freeze that results in shutdown and loss of data . I have also spent money on programs to "debug " the system and download "incompatilble" software ie: anything apple related!
In short - my iMac is ordered - the guys at MS developing Vista could not have done a better PR job of promoting the Apple 10.5 OS if they tried!

Vista is worse than a waste of time and money. It's a burden. I depend on MS Office for a living, sadly, and I do not appreciate the slowness of Vista, the difficulty of moving open windows around quickly (why the hell is this harder now?) and absurd design mistakes. For example, with XP, you could copy/replace a folder from a memory stick onto desktop in a single command, Yes to all. Vista makes you tick off every item in the folder. If it contains 100 items, that's 100 clicks. It's hard to believe such a cretinous mistake could be deliberately built into this monster. Vista offers me nothing new but fancy graphic features, and these soon turn out to be less clear and harder to live with than XP's simple monochrome lines. As far as I am concerned, Vista is a design disaster and a productivity killer. I have gone back to my XP box.
