First, the customer support offered is not good, which is how I got here. Through exhaustive research. When I had a refund inquiry the phone number provided was disconnected and email did not work. The messenger support link is robotic and only responds with generic questions. This makes me believe that Mindvalley could be a scam.
My subscription renewed on 31 August 2023, unaware until my bank account was charged $399 on 1 August 2023, to my surprise. I immediately tried to request a refund the same day 1 August 2023. After further research I found that there is a refund form that you can fill out but because it is auto renewed you won't get it, even though the website says a 15 day refund policy. It makes no sense, and honestly reflects bad customer service, what's the point of having a refund policy, if you can't get customer support and if the company won't refund payments, even if the request is made the same day or within 3-5 days of payment.
When I purchased mindvalley in 2022, I only used it for three months max and decided it wasn't for me. After that I never logged into or participated on the app. I was under the impression that it was a one time purchase and I would have to purchase again if wanted, which I didn't. Now, without a refund I am out of $399 for something that I know I wont be able to benefit from. I fill manipulated and forced into purchase/membership behind fine print.
As a newly divorced mother of two, I do not have the funds or luxury to throw away $399, which is what occurred today. I am really disappointed and now regretting that I purchased a membership at all. hoping that I can receive a refund otherwise I'm screwed. I honestly believe that buyers should be cautious when making this purchase.
Desired outcome: Please refund $399, look into changing policy to allow a refund on auto-renews and have a better support system for customers. Future customers should not have to go through hard loops and research just to find a solution.
