Both my wife and I have been a loyal consumer of Gel Mitchum Deodorant and have been using it for 20+ years. For months now, I have been noticing that my black t-shirts are being stained by the mitchum gel. Something must have changed in the formula as this never happened years ago. ALL of my tshirts are being wrecked. I purchased a new set of work tshirts at the beginning of summer this year (1 t-shirt for every day of the work week) and within 6 weeks I have to throw the tshirts away. They have literally been worn and washed 6 times.
At first I changed washing products and have tried numerous concoctions with baking soda etc to try get the white waxy residue stains out from under the armpit area, but nothing works! I too am extremely fed up with constantly having to buying new shirts.
Michum is also far more expensive than other brands but I have been a loyal customer because I have suffered with medical issues by using other inferior brands and products in the past and I have not had any medical issues using Mitchum, so I felt paying more for a product that worked was worth it to me.
I however do not recommend this brand any longer. I feel like I am no longer getting any value for money and I am fed up by having to constantly replace tshirts after only a few weeks of wear.
Claimed loss: $150 in work tshirts / shirts that have to be replaced every 6-10 weeks.I had issues uploading the photos but I can send more if required.
