This company is the worst ever
This company is the worst ever. Don't use them. They'll rip you off.
Just awful
Just awful. I lost so many items that I can't count the total because I keep realizing another item missing.
OMG, I had the worst experience with Moishe's Moving Systems!
OMG, I had the worst experience with Moishe's Moving Systems! Seriously, DO NOT hire them if you value your furniture. They will totally wreck it, no doubt about it. And if you try to get a refund, good luck! They will take ages to respond, and when they finally do, they have the audacity to offer a measly 60 cents per pound for the damage. Can you believe that? It's like they don't even care about the stuff they break. So frustrating!
So, I had all my boxes loaded onto the truck, right?
So, I had all my boxes loaded onto the truck, right? And then, out of nowhere, these guys from Moishe's Moving Systems decided to change the quote on me. Can you believe it? They bumped it up by a whopping 100 bucks a month! I mean, seriously, who does that? Let me tell you, folks, steer clear of this company. They'll straight-up lie to your face and then trap you into paying their ridiculous prices. And the worst part is, you end up feeling sorry for the poor movers who didn't do anything wrong. You don't wanna make them turn around and reload everything, right? It's a total nightmare, I tell ya. So, take my advice and stay far away from this *** company!
Moishe's Moving Systems is absolutely terrible!
Moishe's Moving Systems is absolutely terrible! I made it very clear to the movers that three items were incredibly delicate porcelain and ceramic heirlooms that held immense sentimental value as they were passed down from my late mother. However, they completely disregarded my instructions and wrapped a valuable and sizable Lladro figurine, along with two handmade ceramic pieces (one being a cherished childhood cookie jar and the other a sentimental high school senior project) in plain paper, without any protective bubble wrap or proper packaging. These items were all I had left to remember my mom and our precious memories together. I cannot stress enough how important it is to never, ever hire this company!
I used Moishe's Movers to move from NJ to Florida on May 22
I used Moishe's Movers to move from NJ to Florida on May 22. They were supposed to move my expensive *** chandelier and another chandelier in crates to protect them. However, they didn't do that and charged us $700 for the crates. They said they would refund the charge, but despite trying to contact the company and owner Boaz Lt multiple times, they didn't refund us. Additionally, a *** Office Chair was damaged during the move and we didn't receive any compensation for it. The company makes promises to get your business, but then ignores them during the move and disappears when you try to contact them afterwards. I don't recommend doing any business with this untrustworthy, rude, and unresponsive company. If you still decide to use them despite the warnings, make sure not to sign any delivery documents and hold off on payment until you thoroughly check everything and receive full compensation for any broken items.
I gotta say, Moishe's Moving Systems is a real disappointment
I gotta say, Moishe's Moving Systems is a real disappointment. We hired them to help us with our move and storage, but boy, did they mess things up. Right from the start, we had to keep telling the movers to be careful with our stuff, but they just packed everything without a care in the world. And let me tell you, it showed when we finally unpacked.
First off, one of our sonos speakers mysteriously disappeared. Can you believe it? And our dining table's marble top? Completely shattered. It was obvious that they didn't handle it properly. Oh, and the glass for our table top? Broken into pieces. Our poor record player didn't stand a chance either - it was beyond repair. And get this, all eight of our dining chairs were damaged. To top it all off, one of the seat cushions was nowhere to be found. Even our lounge chair had a torn cushion. Can you believe the nerve?
But wait, there's more. Our ceramic planters? Nowhere to be seen. I'm guessing they were shattered too. And to add insult to injury, a whole box of kitchen items mysteriously vanished. Where did it go? Nobody knows. And let's not forget about our mattress and box spring. They were absolutely filthy because they weren't wrapped properly and just shoved into storage. Disgusting.
Honestly, if the moving team had just shown a little care and thought, all of these avoidable mishaps could have been prevented. But no, they had to go and ruin everything. And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's downright terrible. Trust me, folks, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Moishe's Moving Systems. It's not worth the trouble, not by a long shot.
If you read this review, I beg you not to use Moishes
If you read this review, I beg you not to use Moishes. I used Moishes to move out and store my stuff while I was displaced during COVID. They offered free pickup, which I took advantage of. When I emptied my unit and later unpacked, I realized that Moishes had lost a box with sentimental items. I reached out immediately to find the box. After weeks of inconsistent, unhelpful, and lackluster support, they finally emailed me to say the box was never found. If you read this review and still use Moishes, be prepared for: 1) Inefficient, unsafe, and disorganized shipment of your stuff - they put multiple people's belongings in one truck without any way to track misplaced items. 2) Terrible and sometimes nonexistent customer service - I had weeks of silence, unhelpful responses, and an overall awful experience working with *** The possibility of losing sentimental or valuable items without any concern from Moishes - if your items go missing, save yourself the trouble and consider them gone.
A really bad experience
A really bad experience. Like others said in their reviews, they showed up late and called 10 minutes before the move time was over to say there would be a new 4-hour window. They arrived 2.5 hours after the original window ended. It's because workers didn't show up, according to the dispatch. This company doesn't have backup plans for situations like this. Also, out of three movers, only one seemed to be working. I could say more, but I've written long reviews elsewhere. Don't use this company unless you want to store things for someone you dislike. I hope my stuff is okay when I retrieve it. During the move, the main mover was slow and unprepared. There wasn't enough space in the back of the truck for my things. They took about 20 minutes to rearrange the truck (moving other people's stuff out of the way?) Even though I was running late for my flight, which wouldn't have been a problem if they came at the end of the original window. And with three people, they were so slow! I was moving from a building with a convenient freight elevator and side door for moving. It took 45 minutes for two movers to load the truck from my 4th-floor walk-up. Anyway, avoid this company. I'm still figuring out what's happening with my stuff and why they're missing certain documents I signed on the day. And for being so incompetent, you'd think they'd know how to handle the situation, but no. They're rude, hang up the phone, and say things like, "I don't know what to tell you." Nobody from the company has addressed the situation yet. Don't use them - the discount isn't worth it. This company has no ethics and seems to be winging it with their business operations.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. I recently used Moishes for a long distance move from *** to TX. I am currently missing thousands of dollars worth of personal belongings. I am missing my coffee table. None of my clothes were delivered. I am missing all of my winter coats and shoes. I literally have no clothes other than what I put into a suitcase. None of my dishes / kitchen items were delivered. I'm also missing lamps, and other home decor. My bed also arrived damaged. There are scratches all over my wooden headboard that were not present at the time of my move. I paid over $4K for this move out of my own pocket, with my hard owned money, with the expectation that my belongings would be handled and delivered properly with care. I should not be missing thousands of dollars worth of my personal belongings. Not to mention that the delivery was late with little to no communication / updates. I had to reach out every time to receive a proper update. The entire move was completely rushed. The delivery guy, *** looked like he hadn't showered in over a week. He was literally dripping sweat all over the place and stinking up my apartment. He smelled horrible. His partner was erratic and looked like he was cracked out on drugs to looking for his next hit. He seemed to be high on speed / or some type of drug. Eyes bucked out of his head. He was literally moving so fast, running boxes into my walls and he also broke the handle of one of my closet doors. I had to ask him multiple times to slow down. He was moving so fast, he smacked himself in the face with a chair...as he was taking out of a box. He had very chaotic energy. I was completely used to sign the papers without properly checking to see if everything was even accounted for. *** (the mover) kept reassuring that everything was there. I was honestly so on edge with both movers, I just wanted them out of my home. The energy was so chaotic and dark. I'm *** and stressed completely over this entire experience. I could literally cry.
My husband and I moved from Jersey City to a town near Trenton in February
My husband and I moved from Jersey City to a town near Trenton in February . My husband tried calling the company multiple times, but never got a response. So, I emailed four people in the company. Over a week passed and still no reply, so I sent another email. I still didn't hear back, so I reached out to our moving specialist on Instagram (the only way to get a response apparently) and someone finally got back to me later that day. In response to my long and concerned email, I received a reply saying, "I will call you shortly." That would have been okay, except he never called. The next day, I emailed again for an update and he said he would call me shortly after 11 am the next day. I didn't receive a call until around 3:00. He was very short and rude on the phone, never apologizing or explaining the process. He said he would send me forms to fill out and look into it. That was it. He didn't send the forms until two more emails asking where they were. I just submitted the forms and now I'm waiting for a response. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they might resolve everything and do a great job, but that doesn't excuse how we've been treated so far. Here are the initial issues: We understand that an estimate is just an estimate, not an exact number. However, the supply estimate given to us by Tom was way off from what we actually needed. This meant the movers had to leave for a long time to get new supplies, which affected the quoted time. We were quoted $424.00 for packing supplies, but in the end, we were charged $955.00. This seems like an unreasonable difference, and we weren't informed about the additional charges until we reached our new home. Due to the lack of supplies and the time it took to get them, the movers fell way behind schedule. About halfway through, they realized this and stopped using paper to wrap our things. Our belongings were carelessly thrown into boxes without any protection, resulting in many items being damaged or broken. Numerous small items were damaged beyond repair. For example, cabinets filled with cleaning and bathroom products were thrown into boxes with towels and personal belongings, causing leaks that ruined everything inside. Artwork and decor were mixed with boxes or books, resulting in broken contents. Roughly half of our belongings were packed this way. They just tossed everything they could find into boxes, dumped entire drawers, and made no effort to protect the contents. More importantly, our 3D printer was not secured at all and ended up breaking in multiple places. Some of our furniture was not wrapped and got damaged. Our kitchen chairs look like they were dropped from the truck and scratched. A metal shelving unit got bent. These are just a few examples of the overall situation. We didn't list all the damages because it would be impossible. Some friendly customer service would make a huge difference in this situation, and I hope they plan to reach out and do just that soon.

This moving company did a very bad job unpacking my stuff
This moving company did a very bad job unpacking my stuff. They also lost some things like clothes, a cable box (which I have to pay for), a *** and a guitar that meant a lot to my family. They also broke and damaged some of my things.
Moishe's Moving Systems gave me a new estimate, but they said it was a mistake
Moishe's Moving Systems gave me a new estimate, but they said it was a mistake. But we never agreed that the first estimate would be the final price. So they kind of pressured me into accepting that the initial estimate was the actual cost and made me sign and pay the higher amount.
Moishe's moved me from NYC to *** on Aug 31
Moishe's moved me from NYC to *** on Aug 31. Also, some of my stuff from the NYC apartment were supposed to go into storage. However, the items that weren't meant for storage were never delivered to my apartment. I've called and emailed multiple times over the past two weeks. They won't tell me where my things are stored or where my missing items are. They also broke 3 lamps, and we filed a claim for them, but it hasn't been addressed yet. It shouldn't take two weeks to find out where my storage is located. Moreover, they promised 4 movers, but only 3 showed up, resulting in an extra $300 in overtime costs.

I booked lots of moves with this company
I booked lots of moves with this company. The company was sneaky in all parts of the process. For each of my moves, I had booked and paid for a certain number of movers to do the jobs. But every time, the company gave me less movers and only told me about it after the moves started. And every time, the company was way later than we agreed on for the move times, which caused problems with my building. Also, there was damage to my place that they haven't fixed and they haven't even bothered to follow up, even though I tried to contact them many times. In my opinion, this company shouldn't be allowed to do business anymore. They're sneaky, dishonest, and their service is just not acceptable anywhere.
I used Moishes for a move from Brooklyn to Upstate **
I used Moishes for a move from Brooklyn to Upstate . The move was estimated and a total price was given. The assessment was 3 Trucks, while I was thinking this is high, I left it at that. When I asked if I would get an adjustment for using fewer trucks, I was ensured of it. On the day of the move, 2 trucks were filled and I agreed with the *** to personally take the remaining items, having been reassured that I won't be billed for the extra truck. The day I took receipt of my items and was charged the full amount for three trucks, the *** said he can't adjust and I would need to ask for a refund. The *** and his crew were awesome, so I didn't press the issue, assuming a refund would be easy to get. For 3 weeks now, I have followed up multiple times for a refund and have been reassured one would be coming. When calling or emailing, I keep getting the runaround. After multiple tries, I am giving up and going this route. I expect Moishes to make good on the 2k refund I was promised.
I hired Moishes to handle our move after selling my home and buying an apartment
I hired Moishes to handle our move after selling my home and buying an apartment. Moishes wrapped and moved our furniture to their storage in early June . The furniture was delivered to our apartment on Friday, August 28 (a day late 'cause they couldn't find where they stored our furniture!). I was devastated when several important pieces that Moishes wrapped were severely damaged/broken. Two pedestals for our coffee table, gifts from my late mother, were broken. One was made from cement and not easily breakable. Also, the finials on an antique canopy bed were broken. The crew manager unwrapped each of these broken items when it was clear that they had been broken and I did yell. I also noted the damages on the forms and sent an email to the dispatcher, but got no response. The destruction of these important pieces, as well as many glass pieces that are less important to me, showed negligence in handling our furniture. Moishes is solely responsible for the damage of these pieces and they must arrange to repair them.
On January 17, 2022, I hired Moishes to move my stuff just a couple of blocks away
On January 17, 2022, I hired Moishes to move my stuff just a couple of blocks away. The move was from 840 WEA to another place. At first, three movers showed up, but then they called for backup because they needed help packing my things properly. So, in total, there were six people handling the move. Unfortunately, during the process, a few things went wrong. First, they broke the arm off my expensive couch, which cost me a whopping $6,000. Then, they managed to break not one, but two floor lamps worth $350 each. On top of that, they also damaged two paintings that were valued at over $5,000. And to make matters worse, they completely forgot to move my coffee table, which was worth $1,200.
The movers took some pictures of the damage and acknowledged the missing table. They assured me that they would file a claim on my behalf and told me not to worry about taking any pictures myself. However, to my dismay, they never actually filed the claim. When I contacted the Claims Manager, he told me that they had no photos of the damage (even though I was there when they took the pictures). He then said that unless I could provide photos, he couldn't do anything to help me. I explained that everything that got damaged was already taken away, except for the broken couch. But he just mentioned something about trying to get a measly amount per pound for the damaged items. That's not what I paid for! I paid for insurance to cover the full value of my belongings.
Now, I'm being ignored and told that they won't take any further action. They caused a whopping $14,000 worth of damage and simply walked away. So, I'm reaching out to you for help in getting the compensation I deserve.
Sincerely, [Your Name]
I hired Moishe's Moving Systems to move from my apartment to a house on March 14, 2022
I hired Moishe's Moving Systems to move from my apartment to a house on March 14, 2022. Before the move, Moishe's gave me a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that listed me and my landlord (Wolf ***) as insured. The move was completed on March 14, 2022. However, on March 24, 2022, my landlord informed me that there was significant damage to the stairs in the building, which happened during the move according to the building superintendent's reports. I reached out to Moishe's on March 24, 2022 to ask about filing an insurance claim. A guy named Boaz Likaont from Moishe's got back to me on March 25, 2022 and asked for some pictures. The landlord provided the pictures on March 29, 2022. On April 4, 2022, the landlord told me that Moishe's stopped responding to calls and emails. After more back-and-forth between me and the landlord, another person from Moishe's (***) responded on April 6, 2022 and asked for an estimate, which was given on April 6, 2022. Also, on April 6, 2022, the landlord said that the damage made the stairs unsafe and needed immediate attention. On April 7, 2022, *** said that Moishe's wasn't responsible because: "The movers aren't responsible for a step that broke during the move. If the step was in good condition, it wouldn't have broken. It seems like it broke due to wear and tear, not negligence. Moishes Moving is denying any responsibility and therefore denying the claim." Moishe's admitted that the stairs were damaged during the move, but they didn't investigate the damage or send someone to check it, and they aren't qualified to say anything about the condition of the step before the move. Moishe's hasn't responded to any inquiries since April 8, 2022.
We hired Moishe's to move us from less than 1 mile away
We hired Moishe's to move us from less than 1 mile away. In the process of the move on June 16, the movers did big damage to our couch and media console. We noticed both issues as the movers finished the move, and the movers told us to contact the management office. We took pictures and the movers took pictures of the damage. We filed a claim with pictures and cost for the damage to the two pieces of furniture: 1. Pottery Barn Comfort Roll Slipcover Couch - $794 to replace the slipcover for the damaged part of the couch 2. Pottery Barn Bowry 72" Reclaimed Wood Media Console - $1,599 to replace. We tried many times to speak with the claims specialist and management team over the past 1.5 months who refuse to take our call or call us back. They sent a few emails offering a very unsatisfactory resolution of $200-$300 for the damage. We feel that they are actively avoiding us and giving us the "run-around" in the hopes that we will go away or accept their unsatisfactory offer. Moishe's also quoted us a total cost of the move of $2,139, but the actual cost of the move was $3,606.50, a big difference of $1,467.50. I've brought this to their attention asking for a refund of the difference due to the big damage. Moishe's, without my consent/permission, shared my personal contact information with a 3rd party who claimed to be from an "Antique Furniture Repair Shop" who wanted to inspect my furniture and repair it. This is highly concerning as I never heard of this person and asked that he send me a text/email with his information and website so I could verify. I received no such follow-up and believe this may have been a friend or employee of Moishe's, not an actual business. Given COVID-19, I don't want a 3rd party to enter my apartment to review damage that is clear in the photos. I also don't want them to attempt to repair it, I want compensation for the damage done.
We hired Moishes Moving for a move on 8/30 in advance
We hired Moishes Moving for a move on 8/30 in advance. 3 men came on time and scanned our apartment. They said they would get moving materials but never returned. The dispatcher called and said they had a family emergency and couldn't move us. They were trying to find a new crew. 4 hours later, a new crew arrived. My husband checked his wallet and found out the first crew stole $400 cash. It made sense why they left. My husband took out the cash that morning and no one else was in our apartment. I called management to report the theft and they told me to file a police report, so I did. 2 hours later (3pm), management called and canceled our move because I filed a police report. They said it was a conflict of interest, even though they told me to do it. We tried to reason with them because our lease was expiring in 24 hours, but they didn't care. The manager yelled at me on the phone, calling me a liar because I didn't physically see the theft. The second crew had already loaded half of our apartment onto the truck by then. We were stranded and had to find a new moving company in less than 24 hours, costing us an extra $1,000. We want to be reimbursed for the stolen $400 and the $1,000 we had to pay for the last-minute booking. I also think this company mistreats its employees. They made the second crew come straight from another job in Queens without letting them eat, and then they made them leave a job without getting paid for half the work. This company should be shut down and not allowed in anyone else's homes.
We moved from Jersey City to ***
We moved from Jersey City to ***. In response to my concerned email, I got a response that said "I will call you shortly." This would have been fine, except he didn't call. He did not once apologize or explain to me what the process was. He said he would send me forms. That was it. He didn't send me the forms until 2 emails following up asking where they were. We understand that an estimate is just that - not an exact number. However, the supply estimate given to us was extremely off from what we actually ended up needing. The movers needed to leave for an extended period of time to gather new supplies, affecting the quoted time. We were quoted to need $424 of packing supplies, and we were charged $955. This is not a reasonable discrepancy, and we weren't made aware of the additional charges until we were at our new home. Due to the lack of supplies, the movers became incredibly behind on their timeline. About halfway through, they realized this and stopped using paper to wrap our things. Our belongings were thrown into boxes without care or protection, and many things were either damaged or broken. Many of our small items were damaged beyond repair (To give a few examples; entire cabinets of cleaning products were thrown into boxes with towels and personal belongings like shoes, and they leaked, ruining everything inside. Roughly half of our items were packed this way. Everything they could find was just tossed into a box, entire drawers dumped, and no actions taken to protect the contents. They are giving us a small amount of money back for some of the damages. (Supposedly, I can't get anyone to respond to me about how the money will be issued.) But I cannot get Mr. Bashkim Spahi to respond to me with more than a few words. I ask questions and express concerns, and he ignores both. His emails are short and rude. I then emailed a few other people in the company (Mr. N. and Mr. L.) looking for some sort of response, and I didn't hear back from either of them.
We hired Moishe's to move our stuff to San Francisco
We hired Moishe's to move our stuff to San Francisco. Since we didn't have an address yet, we made an agreement with the company. They assured us they would store our belongings for free for up to 30 days until we provided an address. On the sales slip, the delivery address was 'to be determined,' and we added our address later. About two weeks later, we were surprised when they called to say that our shipment was ready for delivery. This was against our agreement with Moishe's. It was obvious they couldn't send it without an address, as we had only provided the city and state. It was a mistake for them to send it early instead of storing it for free while we found an apartment. They stored it in a local warehouse until we could get an apartment. On September 2, the truck arrived at our new apartment with our belongings. However, they refused to unload until we paid the remaining balance. We had a long phone conversation where the supervisor insisted on charging us extra for storage and redelivery fees, even though it was their mistake. If they had kept it for 30 days as agreed, we wouldn't have had to pay those charges. I was forced to pay an additional $580 to unload the truck. Otherwise, they threatened to leave with our valuables. I had no choice but to give my credit card information, but I made it clear that I would fight against their behavior.
