Mondo is the worst!
They called me to sell an internet package.
I asked what speed line it is and they gave me incorrect information (10meg instead of 100 meg).
I only noticed when I received the modem and immediately cancelled.
They came to collect the modem but never cancelled the contract. I
have been paying for nothing for three months now. (Activation fee deducted of R292.61 and thereafter R439 for past 3 months now.
Every time I call their systems are offline, once someone put down the phone in my ear after being kept on hold for over 10 minutes.
It is utterly disgraceful!
They sell incorrect goods and then make it so difficult to cancel the contract.
Desired outcome: I need this contract 'cancelled' - not sure what their definition of cancel is - and my money back.

I'm Jerome like to take out cellphone with mondo.
On the 15january I lost my phone .and on the 16 I raport it to our police department and I made a affidavit the police officer gave me my case number cause my phone was insurance.i handed all the necessary documents in with the IMEI nr it a dual sim Samsung phone A23f light blue and from that day I hadn't heard anything from mtn insurance.
Can I give me advise what to do please.
Cause I also lost the box of the phone.

MTN Cellphone contract
I applied for a iPhone 12 contract on the MTN website on the 22 November 2022. I Received the Phone on the 28 November. The Phone did not work so I took it to MTN store in Gateway the next morning 29 November 2022. The Technician at the store advised that it was a software issue Out OF Box failure. They told me they woul d book it on for repairs and I advised them that I don’t want a repaired phone I requested for a cancellation. I was told to call MTN customer care and was put through to Mondo. I spoke to an agent she requested IRMS number I gave it to them and was advised that my contract will be canceled in 7-14 working days. I am still being billed. I called MTN and Mondo 5times today and did not receive any joy.The first call to Mondo I was put on hold for 5minutes and call was dropped after. Everytime I called after that I explained my query my call would be dropped shortly after. I don’t have the energy for this. If I had known that the contract was offered by Mondo i would not have bothered because I am very familiar with their incompetent service and very rude agents.

MTN contract sales and retentions department
I requested an Upgrade to my MOBILE data contract ([protected]) in November 2022 via MTN website.
I applied for the 50GB Black Friday Deal for R199 (Reference number: [protected])
On 28 November I received a sales call and was advised that MTN has a 80GB contract for the same amount being R199.
Since the upgrade I could not use my mobile router but was able to use my phone due to the Datashare facility.
On 20 December I tried to inquire about the Mobile router that kept showing "No Internet" and was informed by MTN Customer care that I need to call Mondo as they are unable to assist me ([protected]) To add to my frustration, this is not a free call, even though the consultant said it was!
I called Mondo only to be informed that my contract was upgraded to a HOME data contract and they will have to listen to the recording of the sale and call me back with a way forward on 23 December 2022. I was not called back. (Reference number: RCO321290)
Today, I followed up (4 January 2023), and was informed that the investigation was done and was found to be in my favour as the sales person did not inform me it was a HOME data contract.
They then proceeded to tell me that they cannot reverse the contract and they can only cancel it.
After insisting that they need to assist me and not just cancel my contract and then a 12 minute hold (Again this is not a free call) They asked that retentions call me back sometime today. (Reference number: RCO325323)
I've waited for Retention to call me back, but no calls received. On 12 January 2023 I called to cancel the contract, the lady escalated to Retentions and I confirmed my cell number and gave alternate number.
Today, 17 January 2023, I find myself without any data. MTN confirmed it is due to the data left being promotional data which cannot be shared to my cell number. I called to cancel my contract. (Reference number: RCO325323)
It is sad to say MTN has now lost a customer of 20 years due to Mondo's incompetence.
Desired outcome: I'd like my contract cancelled without any charges and the poor service addressed with the sales and retention departments.
MTN Mondo contract application
I started my with my application on the 3rd of January 2023. Today is the 12th of January 2023, My application is still not approved, I don't understand why it is still not approved. This should only take hours not days. This is not the first application I am making for a phone contract, other providers take hours to approve and your device is delivered in 3 working days. At this point if I cancel this order and go to another provider I am certain that the other provider will provide me my phone early than it would be If I wait for MTN. This is frustrating. I will never recommend anyone to make an application with MTN Mondo. They are very slow with their processes.

In 2021 December I took out 1 contract to my knowledge, upon receiving my device I received 2 devices, I immediately contacted mtn and was told that they will log the case and collect the device, after me chasing many times with no feedback, I was told to return the device to mtn store and get an irms number which I did, I than didn't receive feedback and I called to be told that I did take the contract and they can't cancel I should collect the phone, so I went back to the store to collect the device and was told it's gone back to the warehouse and Samsung already credited the device, I called monde to find out what is going on and was promised this would be resolved, now my mtn account is suspended due to no credit on my account recived yet from monde

For the most pathetic service on the planet I highly recommend a combination of mtn and mondo.
I sent the below letter last week and lo and behold, today my service is yet again suspended due to the lack of communication between mondo and mtn. Ironc considering what they are trying to sell!
After a nightmare of attempts, a mondo representative informed me that the amount of R3880 had been credited to my account. I had been charged that in error. I am now receiving an overdue account from MTN once again?! After one month of continual attempts, countless hours spent trying to resolve this and eventually reporting this to all social media platforms and The consumer board, to investigate, I considered this matter resolved!?
Please escalate this case and urgently resolve. I will not wait to be unlawfully suspended again as this affects all 3 contract numbers and my business. I will not hesitate to reopen the ICASA case. Please note if this is not satisfactorily resolved within 24 hours, after ONE MONTH of battling with MTN, I will peruse action.

MTN fixed LTE
In December, I took out a contract online with one of the consultants who contacted me via telephone for a MTN fixed LTE and free UPS. When the items were delivered on 15 December 2022, the UPS was not excluded. I contacted MTN and they advised that the product itself does not come with a free UPS. This was not mentioned on the call. I was told I will be getting a UPS with the router. I was also told that the activation fee will be the only payment in December and the first installment will be debited in January 2023. I however received an invoice for December usage between 15 - 26 Dec 22. Again, not was mentioned on the call. I am since waiting for feedback, none received so far. The information to conclude the sale was unethical by the salesperson and I will not let this slide.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive my UPS as promised and a refund of the December 2022 usage charges.
MTN Black Friday MTN Upgrade
I was called to upgrade my contract as part of a Black Friday deal. They had stock of the Iphone I wanted and the deal was concluded and the contract sent. It has been longer than a month. I have not received the handset. I sent a complaint and I never received a response as yet. Contract Ref:SABC1708

You should be able to retrieve the call recordings for these transactions to resolve this asap

MTN Cellphone order
Oh my God this is frustrating, it is annoying I cannot seem to get good service from these people. I ordered a phone through them, and they told me that I will receive it with 7-10 working days i am still waiting and every time I am calling to follow up on how far each and every agent tells me that they are having technical issues and the order is stuck and every time they are trying to fix this, they are getting am error. They can't assist with cancelation as well because I have asked them to do this and every time, I call they are all starting from scratch. What a joke honestly.
Desired outcome: I want them to deliver my device within 24hours, if they can't they should cancel within 24hours.

I struggle with my MTN contract to be cancelled.l took out my contract on 30 AUGUST 2021.the agreement of the payments was R149 for 20Gig day and 20Gig night but they deduct R199. I try to call them to find out what happened and its was a dead end. In June they deduct R255 in 2022. i took a contact over 3 months ago wasn't happy with the device and returned it to mtn shop at canal walk cape town within 7 days they took the phone gave me ref.number and contacted an agent by mondo and provided them with the necessary info and the contract was never canceled. Cancel upgrade
Upgraded 20 Oct 2002. Mondo messed up on the upgrade. Requested cancellation on 25 Oct 2022. I phoned every week, spoke to sereral persons in a week. Nozipho, Anesha, Shaylin, Nickholin, Tunisha & Amelia... And all others inbwtween who didnt pronounce their names in a clear voice. Any person accessing my complaint will see the telephonic logs.. By last week, 15 Nov 2022, Mondo (through Tunisha Naidoo) promised that the upgrade would be cancelled and the order closed within 24 - 48hrs. Ons Thursday Nov, Mondo (through Amelua Henry) promised it would be cancelled & closed by en of business on Friday 18 Nov. Between 4pm - 5pm on Friday 18 Nov Mondo's nulber only work halway through the select process. 19 Nov MTN confirmed that request was not yet closed. Tomorrow would be a month since the upgrade. To worsen the situation, the cell number in question is on a very high month-to-month basis: meaning I oay a huge monthly fee fir a cell number which havent been working since 20 Oct 2022. I cannot even cancel the cell number in question, because it is still OPEN with Mondo. They are incompetent, log false requests and make daily empty promises. I desperately wish someone can help me. I cannot even complain to Mondo Network because rheir "complaints bot form" do not even recognise my ID number or my order number... And there us no other way of proceeding to inform Mondo management to the stance if this situation.

Cell phone Contract Upgrade
I have hed the most terrible experience with Mondo and MTN with my contract upgrade. First they added my upgrade to my account and dod not remove the previous contract bundle (which charged me R1800) and then after (I stopped counting) numerous phone calls and emails wirh both companies they proceeded to hold me liable for all the fees. MTN phone contract
I signed up for an MTN contract through Mondo, and somehow, between them and DSV, they are keeping my phone hostage and are unable to cancel the order. I've been trying to get someone to assist me for the past 2 weeks, but it's the blame-shifting game - been speaking to one consultant after the other.
Today I was placed on hold for 30mins.
I then called back, and was placed on hold AGIN, for about 20mins, and then got through to Chanté - a supposed "supervisor" who basically just wanted to speak over me, and make her own point - which was basically not wanting to take responsibility.
I can't get a new contract, cause for some reason Mondo can not cancel the order - the order that's been up in the air for over 2 weeks now.
Teach your consultants and supervisors to listen to customers.
