September 15, 2023 checked into the hotel. Our check-in experience was wonderful, the bellman was wonderful--so far so good.
After 3 long days of extensive meetings, all we wanted to do was relax at the pool and jacuzzi. We were unaware of the night's events or the pool party that was going on. We provided our identification cards and proof of guest by showing our hotel room key and proceeded towards the cabana as instructed. We were met by "Tom" Tour Manager who yelled and screamed at us (for no reason) and told us we had to purchase a $25 ticket as only two of us were allowed to enter (we had our colleague who stayed with us at the resort). We were shocked at his behavior. We were stunned. He indicated that all guidelines were on the website as he wrote the website. We were frozen. We spoke with Hugo, pool manager, who was very friendly-attempted to provide the email only for Craig P; however, was unable to notify us when he would be present to have a discussion of how we were yelled at, mistreated, and embarrassed.
We spoke with Arjel, Front Desk Supervisor. Explained the above. He told us that we were unable to use any of the Resort's amenities and to go back in out room and stay there. I repeatedly asked: "Am I not allowed to use any amenities at the hotel--I am to be locked in my room?" He replied, "Yes. You are to go to your room and stay their until checkout".
I have two witnesses that heard the conversation. I am furious.
Desired outcome: Refund of my flight ($257-from Dallas, Texas) and rental car $531 (Hertz Rent A Car) as well as the monies I paid to eat at other restaurants outside of the Casino ($325).
