Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Privacy Policy Disagreement
Dear Morongo,
I am writing this formal letter to express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding the privacy policy of your company, as I find myself unable to agree to its terms. I believe it is my right as a user to have a clear understanding of how my personal information is collected, used, and protected. I value my privacy and data security, and I believe that the privacy policy should reflect these principles.
After a thorough review of the privacy policy presented by your company, I have identified several points of contention that prevent me from agreeing to its terms:
Lack of Transparency: The policy lacks clear and concise language explaining how my personal information will be used, shared, and stored. It is essential for me to have a comprehensive understanding of these processes to make an informed decision. I have neither agreed to or signed any form allowing for my data to held by Morongo.
Third-Party Sharing: The policy indicates that my data may be shared with third parties for various purposes. However, it fails to specify the identity of these third parties and the exact nature of the information shared. This lack of specificity raises concerns about the potential misuse of my data.
Opt-Out Options: The policy does not offer clear instructions on how I can opt out of certain data collection or sharing practices if I wish to do so. As a user, I should have the right to control my data and its usage.
Data Security Measures: The policy does not outline the security measures in place to protect my personal information from unauthorized access, breaches, or other potential risks. Ensuring the safety of my data is of utmost importance to me.
Given the aforementioned concerns, I kindly request that your company revisits and revises its privacy policy to address these issues. I believe that a well-structured and transparent privacy policy is crucial for building trust between users and your company.
I understand that companies evolve and update their policies periodically, and I hope that my feedback will contribute to creating a more user-friendly and privacy-focused environment. Your staff, including Jose, casino shift manager on August 22nd 2023 was not competent enough to provide a written document showing any agreement or policy regarding data collection such as SSN, DL, etc. I had expressed my doubts about casino security involving data and he did not offer an opt-out option. As you are well aware, The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides consumers with the right to opt-out. There must also be a periodic data wash so that we can voluntarily remove our collected information from any database. This option was also not provided; information regarding this was not provided.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to receiving an updated version of the privacy policy that better aligns with user privacy and data protection principles.
Sincerely,
Paul Lee
Desired outcome: Option to opt-out, datawash personal information from Morongo database.
