The finance manager at Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa added the Nissan Security Plus service contract to my finance paperwork. I told him I didn't want it and asked him to fix it. If he does, I'll update this post. If he doesn't, I won't post anything else. Buyers, be cautious!

Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa Absolutely WORST customer service ever

Absolutely WORST customer service ever. As an active duty military personnel, I expected the sales representatives to understand my request of not wanting my information to be sold off for marketing purposes. The manager and the sales representative did not care about me wanting to keep my information private. Not only that, they did not wish to help me with registering my vehicle in my home state since I'm not a permanent resident of this state. Their only concern was making money to add to their quota. They were also trying to add extra fees to what I needed done, all of which were unnecessary. I do NOT recommend anyone doing business with this shady business. Definitely a headache waiting to happen and a hole in your wallet.

Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa I went to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa to get an oil change and *** mile service for my 2012 Nissan Maxima in June

I went to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa to get an oil change and *** mile service for my 2012 Nissan Maxima in June. I had an appointment, but I ended up waiting for 3 hours and only got the oil change. They told me that I urgently needed to replace my brake pads because my front pads only had 4 mm left. They also said I should replace my front 2 tires right away and get an alignment because there was uneven wear and tear on them, indicating a serious alignment issue. However, 2 months later, I decided to take my car to a nearby shop to have the front brake pads replaced. Surprisingly, they informed me that the pads were actually at 8 mm and didn't need any service at the moment. They also mentioned that my tires needed replacement, but there was no sign of uneven wear or tear. It's clear to me now that Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa is a dishonest business, and I won't be giving them any more of my money.

Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa On 4/20, I got a call from the dealership about a potential new car

On 4/20, I got a call from the dealership about a potential new car. I had another car that I wanted to trade in, but there was a cosigner on the loan. I went through bankruptcy last year, and the dealership held onto the car until September. My main concern was safeguarding the cosigner. However, now the company that has the car is going after the cosigner. I want them to retrieve my car and cover the expenses of the cosigner.

I took my car to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa because the charging system on my NissanLeaf 2021 wasn't working. However, when I returned, they charged me $149.99 for changing the filter and wipers, even though I didn't ask for those services. All I wanted was for the charging system to be fixed. When I went to pick up my vehicle, they told me that there was nothing wrong with it, but still charged me $149.99. I want a refund because I never requested any of those changes.

Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa I've been taking my car to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa for the same repair multiple times in the past few months

I've been taking my car to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa for the same repair multiple times in the past few months. They've put in around 8-10 alternators, but none of them seem to work! Last time, they had my car for over a month, and just a few weeks later, the problem came back. The dealership informed me that Nissan has faulty alternators, so all they can do is keep replacing them. Unfortunately, my car still isn't fixed and it's currently at the dealership. To add to the frustration, the tire pressure sensor light came on while they had it in the shop for yet another alternator replacement.

Mossy Nissan of Kearny Mesa has given me really bad, below-average service and they still haven't finished fixing my car even though it's been there for 17 days. I still don't know when they'll be done. It took them more than a week to actually start looking at my car because they kept messing up their communication inside the company and had some strange administrative problems. The biggest problem is that the people who answer the phone at their call center don't talk to the people who work on the cars, so any information I give to the call center doesn't get passed along at all. And the worst part is that the people at the service center don't take any responsibility for this problem. They just blame it on the call center like it's a completely different company and not part of Mossy Nissan. I've had to call Mossy about 10 times just to get this far, and obviously I still don't have my car back.

April , I paid a total of $1487.08 for the service at Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa. Brad *** (Mossy Nissan Service Manager) sent me a message with good news - they will refund me for the alternator replacement. Normally, they would take my credit card info over the phone and issue the refund, but they need my signature for warranty documentation submission to Nissan. They asked if I could come by tomorrow or Friday to complete this.

I planned to visit, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it. As a business owner, I'm always occupied with work, so it took me a few weeks to find the time. Brad's coworker emailed me twice, asking if I would come in, but I wasn't sure when I would be able to. Eventually, I emailed them and stopped by a month later on May 25th. Brad and Kevin, who seemed quite upset, informed me that they would call Nissan warranty and get back to me the following week. However, I haven't received any email response to date. All I want is the refund they promised me.

So I heard there was a promotion at Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa where they could match or beat any offer for a trade-in, or give me $100. I wanted to get my car appraised, so I spoke to the used car manager, ***. She told me they couldn't match or beat the offer, so I asked for my $100. She said the car wasn't mine and that it was stolen. I provided her with the title and registration, which had my name and *** ID on it. However, she kept insisting that it wasn't my car. She told me to talk to the new car manager, ***. When I greeted him, he immediately accused me of being a scumbag car flipper and told me they knew what I was up to. I tried to explain that the car was registered to me and that I wanted to do business with them, but he started yelling at me. He even threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. Feeling frustrated, I decided to call the general manager, ***. He blamed me for the disrespect I received in the showroom and told me not to cry myself to sleep because of their rudeness. When I asked for his last name, he abruptly hung up on me. This is not how you run a business. All I wanted was an apology, but they are refusing to give me one.

I first brought up a rust issue 2 years ago to Mossy Nissan Kearny Mesa. The manager and service advisor took photos and said "I'll call you back in next week once we get approval". That call never happened. The following 2 years I brought up this same issue every single time I brought vehicle into service. Last year they said ok give us 10 days and we should be able to get this issue handled. 10 days later they handled the other issues but not the rust and once again said "we'll call you next week once we speak with Nissan. I tried again recently on 4/15/22 and service manager said, leave us the car for 10 days and we'll get the rust fixed. Now 14 days later on my promise date I am completely in the dark on the rust repair. My vehicle is not fixed, they have no idea when, or if it will be fixed and again it is on day 14 they are holding car hostage. I look at other complaints and can see a serial habit of this behavior of holding clients cars only to never fix them. I have called into Nissan North America and they have confirmed that it does not take 14 days to get repair approval. This rust is 100% covered under warranty and this issue is grandfathered in past expiration as I brought it up 2 years ago. It is clear to me that Mossy is simply playing games and/or has a very bad reputation with Nissan North America as it does not make any sense. I demand that Mossy deliver as promised, the rust repaired vehicle.

Bate and switch, super shady, high pressure finance managers, they don't honor kbb trade in values (even for a year old car). I've bought 3 cars here recently (the first time was a great experience, so I returned). *** was super high pressure and really really wanted me to get a mechanical warranty on the car. I kept telling him no, but eventually he discounted it enough for me to say ok. (It was also a really long day and I just wanted to leave with the new car). This last time I was in, I found a car on their website that I wanted that said it was in stock. True car also said it was in stock and both websites gave me the Vin of the car that was in stock. Not surprisingly, no one could find this car when I arrived because it was "in transit". Now I had to buy a car that was $3k more. I let it slide because I knew what kbb said my trade in was worth (and I know that they low ball those numbers). My trade in was only a year old with apple car play and a backup camera and kbb said it should be worth $16k in good condition (it was in perfect shape, we just wanted something bigger). They said they could only trade it in as fair (interior, exterior and mechanical issues). They wouldn't match kbb or give me a $100 like they advertise. In financing, I explained everything to *** and he said he'd give me the gap insurance and alarm (that I didn't ask for) for free. The terms we had talked about was always 75 months. At no point did *** tell me he's switching our loan from 75 months to 84 months (in order to keep the monthly payment the same) to appear like I got it for free when he actually charged me $3400 for these (which I didn't even want). I got a letter in the mail thanking me for my recent 84 month loan which was a surprise to me. He switched the paperwork without telling me and I didn't notice because the monthly payment was the same! I'll never return here!
