I recently rented a room with Motel 6 in Florence SC this was on the 25th of August. When I paid and was provided a key for my room as soon as I went into the room it smelled horrible and not only the blankets but The dressers had cigarette burns on them, the carpet was sticky and dirty! The bathroom smelled horrible, everything about the room was disgusting! I've been to motel 6 motels a few times and I've never seen it in such horrible conditions as the one in Florence SC I asked for my money back within 3 minutes of me staying there! I was giving a refund but had to wait for days because I use my debit card... never again will I rent a room from Motel 6
room request for a disabled person, internet service, lost and found

I am a 60 year old disabled man. I requested a smoking 1st floor room as I have VERY limited walking capabilities. When I got there on 9/3/17 for 2 nights my room was on the 3rd floor and Non-Smoking. I went back to the front desk and he gave me another room on the 2nd floor and it was dirty. Went back again and he gave me another room on the 2nd floor again which required a long walk to my car. No consideration for my disability.
The Internet service was down the whole time I was there making it necessary for me to leave the property and spend money at a coffee shop several times to use my laptop. I requested a credit to my bill but didn't get one.
I called the hotel the day after I checked out as I left some items in my room. I was told they would check with lost and found and get back to me right away which they never did. I spent many years working as a Hotel desk clerk, night auditor and night manager and find this all very disgusting. I will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 again.
I would like a partial or full refund as all this caused me extreme discomfort and pain due to my disability.

When we stopped to check in this motel, the first thing I saw and heard was the older man who was the manager or owner or whatever, berating a boy of about 12 who was returning dirty towels for clean ones. He was yelling at this kid because the towels were dirty. The boy tried to explain that water was spilled and he tried to dry it with the towels and the floor was not clean and that was why the towels were so dirty. This man should have called the room and talked to an adult and not yell at a kid. We finally got a room. We had asked for a double room with two queen beds and a non smoking room. Well what we got was a single room with two beds crammed into a very small room. You could barely walk between the beds. The room had a smokey smell with maybe air freshener sprayed in it. Oh, by the way, I pulled off my shoes, walked to the bathroom, which was not clean, walked back to one of the beds, sat down and my husband asked what was on my feet. The floor was so dirty that the bottoms of my feet were literally black. That is why the boys towels were so dirty. They charged a pet fee of $20.00. When I called I was told they are pet friendly and there is no pet fee. Our night ended up costing us over $100.00. I think they charged us for a double room when in fact it was a single with two beds crammed in it. One bed was pushed up against the air conditioner. I have never seen anything so appalling in my life. We have stayed in rooms at Motel 6 on other trips in the past, but never again. This room was dirty, so dirty that we slept on top of the covers and did not shower in the dirty bathroom. I will never stay in a Motel 6 again. Had we not been so tired and had we not been traveling for over 16 hours, we would have left right them. I hope this can be corrected as you will lose a lot of customers. I know you have lost two already.
The date of that horrible experience was 8-11-17. Also, there were a couple who were sitting outside on the ground in front of a room and were very drunk. It was very noisy, people must have never slept in the rooms next to ours.

Owner called on 09-05. Stated since we stayed, we accepted the conditions. Offered one night refund. Not acceptable. Requesting FULL refund. Owner said bring it on. Called Motel 6 guest relations. Dan Yaeger/Cust. Svc Rep stated since it is an independently owned property, they cant help. Asked to speak with a supervisor. Offered the name Anthony Scofield, however no number. Now to search for other ways to get to the top. Everyone else is not concerned.

I reserved a room for August 25th at the Motel 6 located on Sunset Boulevard North Canton Ohio. My arrival date was Friday August 25th. I checked in at about 5:00 p.m. When I entered Room 1 1 4 it looked a mess. The AC unit was falling apart, stains on floor, and holes in the ceiling above the sink. I was only staying one night so I thought I could deal with it. But in the morning the shower was dirty. And while getting coffee the office staff was complaining about corporate believing a customer over them concerning bed bugs. Needless to stay say my skin started itching immediately. Hahaha Thank God I slept on top of the comforter! I didn't expect much for $54, what I got was unacceptable. Attached are pictures and video. Someone from corporate should visit the hotel and if they would let their family stay there then let me know. Otherwise I am requesting a refund.

on Thursday august 31 I made a call to Motel 6 in Big Bear Calif. at 9:13 P.M to book a reservation. I asked for a room for 1 adult and 1 child for 2 days.
the lady called Silvia confirmed the price of $143 for the 2 days. gave me a CONFIRMATION number nd bit me well. I called back to confirm reservation number, it was the same one and price.
Myself and 5 other people walk in around the same time in the Office on Friday night the 1st of September.
the lady behind desk only asks for name and ID. mind you does not ask for reservation number ( which I thought was odd). I ask "you don't need my reservation number?" she reply by saying " NO, all I have on my screen is your name and the price"
Price was $91 dollars more, more! Why? the lady behind desk said she didn't know anything all she knew what was on screen and all we could do is call main office and ask why and if it was her she would do the same..!

Along with all that my OUTLET in bathroom did not work! the only one in that room. no others close by, I had to head to the outlet by the bed with my electric devices back nd forth for uses of other bath needs.
As tourist you look at what is offered at these establishments like a Swimming Pool. The POOL at this place was not assessable. It only said it was closed for summer, we are still in SUMMER! if i would of known that i would of taken a second thought and gone somewhere else. totally disappointing.!
When you need to dispute a situation there needs to be some one to be available to talk to. There was no one else available.
I am a Senior Citizen. I was told it would be discounted in the price. I don't know where?, I did not see it anywhere applied. I requested a downstairs room due to my disabilities, she said there was none. Being there i saw myself rooms downstairs empty...discrimination!

Roaches in the room and spiders in the room, they never made the bed during my stay, they didn't sweep the floor, and they didn't take out trash. Also the bedding contains burnt holes. The carpet in the hallways looks worse than the ground outside. The elevator is out of order: it does not work. The toilet ran all night making it difficult to sleep.

I have never been so disappointed in my life. I didnt expect the Hilton, but I also did not expect how nasty this room was. There are roaches and other bugs running everywhere. There was snot all in the bath tub. This is the grossest room ive ever seen. I am contacting the heqlth department or someone Monday morning. I thought Motel 6 hqd a reputation for being basic but clean. STAY AWAY FROM ALL MOTEL6 MOTELS! They leave the light on for you so you wont see the roaches.

Made reservation over phone, I went to desk at 2:30 to get info and check in was to be at 3:00. I was told room would not be ready till after 3:09 so I asked how long after 3 should I come back and she said 3:10-3:15. We went to eat and came back at 3:30. There was a long line of people waiting and it took approx 30 minutes to reach counter. They took my credit card and then told me it still wasn't ready! I asked how much longer and do I get a discount, and a man spoke up and told me they are very busy and whenever they get it ready!
So they had no idea and would not say so I went and waited in my car for another 20 minutes and went back in and cut the still long line and asked if they had it ready and he said just got it and he gave me one key card.
I had to pay over $200 for the stress and aggravation for a poor low quality room with no frig- microwave and had to pay extra for wifi that is free at other motels!
I will never stay with Motel 6 again!

On 8/31/17 my son booked me a stay at the oakland Ca, airport site. I arrived late evening and was given a room in the back surrounded by the smell of drugs smoked. Dog crapped in front of my door. My bed had a horrible stain and cigarette burns. It was horrible. I was unable to sleep due to the screaming and cursing along with the banging on the door. I called the office about the verbal threats to blow the place up from the people and how dear them put me in that hell hole with my son paying just about a $100 for the room.I demanded nicely to speak with the manager NO ONE CAME I was forced to leave there I WAS IN FEAR FOR MY LIFE. I woke up and had what appears to be ring worm so I went to talk to the man at the front desk and he said they will have to check it out. I said what shall I do he said he did not know as they got to check it out. I ask how long and he said he had no idea. I then ask for corporate phone number and he tells me to call him that I don't need corporate's number. After arguing for a few minutes about not giving me the number he says here and yells the number at me I said hold on a second can I borrow a pen and he tells me "NO". OK I called back at 15:34 hrs today and I talk to the owner or manager, he stated they looked in the room and did not see anything. I then ask if he new what ring worm was, which he did not. I then told him that it is a fungus that if some one that is infected with it and would like sit on the couch that was in that room or the bed comforter or even one of the chairs and then someone else came in contact with it, that is how its spread. So all his solution is asking me not to call corporate and he would refund my card the money for the room. I am really not sure what type of people you let in your chain or the type of house cleaning rules you have for your motels but I want you to know that it sucks or they are not following them. I did witness them not taking the comforters off the beds, they were changing the sheets and reusing the comforter. I really hope this is an isolated event and all your motels are not ran like this one. Well my entire body is covered with this fungus now and I do believe I am going to have to seek medical treatment and I believe you should be responsible for any payment for said treatment. please advise how I should proceed. I was at the hotel in the lobby and I observed a tall black lady with a black and white shirt which I believe was upper management Keenya Younger who was being so unprofessional to a lady about how she was taking care of the hotel pool. I was blind sided and appalled that she would act like that not only in front of her staff but guests as well. I asked the front desk clerk who she was and she told me that she was the director of operations and I truly felt bad and wanted to step in but instead I just walked out of the hotel and will never return again.

On 8/26 I went and told the maid didn't need room service in 403 just needed 1 towel she gave me the towel and said you don't want service and I said no.
Put my boyfriends bracelet I just gave him 2 days ago in the bottom of my suitcase then LOCKED it we went out and came back that evening notice that the towels were replaced and wet ones were gone thought nothing of it .
The next morning went to get bracelet and notice the suitcase was unlock and said I don't remember unlocking this last night when I went to get the bracelet it was gone torn the room apart went down to front desk they said give us an hour so I did then called and was told to come down. I talked to Craig Dilley general manager. Told him about my conversation with the maid and his response was she doesn't understand English then He asked me my name and date of birth I didn't understand why he needed my D.O.B. told him I had just given that bracelet to my boyfriend 2 days ago so he told me he would look into the who went into the room So I called the Police to file a report they came and took my statement gave them a picture of the bracelet, they gave me a case number went back to my room to get my suitcase to leave When I came down the police officer was still there talking to Mr Dilley So they asked me when I brought the bracelet and I told them a couple of years ago which I stated earlier to the officer But Mr Dilley said I said I brought 2 days ago and I told no I said I gave it to my boyfriend 2 days ago and he said I brought it 2 days ago went back and forth and finally I said "I said I gave it to my boyfriend 2 days ago" he rolled his eyes and the officer said it alright you can go.
Now I am out a $2200. mens 9inch gold link bracelet because that motel hires thieves I would like to know what is going to be done about this

slip/fail and no one has contacted me back
On Sunday, August 13th night I slip and fail out the tub which was after 9p.m. I had family coming over to visit me when they came I heard knocking at the door but I was unable to make it but the second time they came to the door they was about to break the door down cause I was hollering they thought someone was in the room doing me something. I finally reached the door by crawling and rolling they quickly respond and seen I was hurt. They grad and pick me up from by the door and carried me down the stairs took me to the car and drove me to the hospital. Ive been here ever since Sunday night after the incident. I called the motel and informed them in what happen they told me I didn't even stay there and after I told them I stayed there. The manager of Motel 6 on Siegen said she was go call me back and never did. She kept asking me on the phone why I didn't report it the night of I told here I was in too much pain. When I got to the hospital they had me on so much medicine cause I was in so much pain. When I calm down from all the medicine I called on Tuesday, August 15th. I have a job and can't go back to work til 8-12 weeks.

I have calmly call the front desk where Britney answered to report noise outside our door at 12:25am the first time & I used my own cell phone because their land line in my room was not working. Britney said she would send security over.
At 12:44am my wife and I still hear people taking on the phone outside our room. So I patiently called the front desk again and this time Britney said that she had sent the security over the first time I called, there is nothing she can do because security is at lunch, those people making the noise have the right to make noise & they do not have to respect other people staying here at this motel. She asked me to stop talking my "crap", if I wanted to talk "crap" she would give me the manager number & I can call him to talk crap to him and last she said I can call the police and they will not do anything about the noise.
It's now 1:18am we want to get some sleep but the noise is still happening.
I'm upset with the way Britney & the security handled this at our cost of rest & sleep.
We are here another night and I do not want this to happen to me or others. We have stayed at many Motel 6's and have not have to react to other renter's or front desk personnel inability to quite others.
I am wide awake now and it's 1:20am I would want this to be resolved & I want compensation please.

Made reservations online, get to hotel pay get our key and go to our room just to find hair all over pillows and under blanket, hair and dirt all over floor called front desk and house keeping came. We were treated with such disrespect when we asked to have room cleaned. The latch and lock on our door is broken nothing was done, then today house keeping shows up at 11am saying they need to service the room I said they could and opened the door. I was then ordered to go get them all the towels out of bathroom she snatched them out of my hand and left. Didn't sweep, mop, change bed, clean bathroom and didn't even give me clean towels. We rent here every other weekend but this will be our last, I've never felt so disrespected by someone before

I booked a 3 weekend stay for a homeless client on 8/25/17-8/28/17. I called the Motel and spoke with the female staff, she did not give me her name, and she had a foreign accent. I was told to put my client's name on the reservation as a guest and then book the room. When we arrived the same staff member stated that she needed the clients ID for the room. The client only had a copy of her state issued ID. I am employed by a state agency and I ensured that this was an actual copy of the client's ID and she would not accept it. I under the policy of the hotel and that is fine. What is unacceptable was the way she treated myself and my client as if she could not try to help ease the situation. She did not care that there was an emergencies situation for the client and her son and when I asked could she issue a refund so we could try another hotel she told me no. I have to go back to how I book the room and try to do something. I called back and asked about how to get a refund, the same lady stated "the way you booked the room" and hung up. Someone with a lack of compassion and empathy for other human beings should not be employed or a representation of Motel 6. This was a terrible experience for myself and my client and this will surely deter future business with my agency and the homeless clients in need. Even if you all choose to have her stay at your establishment, her attitude, customer service, skills, and rudeness needs to be addressed if you all value your business and stand behind the service given to consumers. cleanliness, staff, and overall experience
When we first got here we were sent to her room while I room had no betting there was white powder on the floor so we went in to complain to the front office at the room wasn't ready and they were very accommodating as to give us a different room however being pregnant and on and having a baby our room was on the third floor there is no elevator so we get to our room and there is a trashcan tucked underneath the counter in the bathroom I go to reach for it and low and behold I look up and underneath the counter there are dirty drug needles stuck under there again we get a different room this room smells like burnt hair there's stains on the carpet the pillows are not Fluffy at all that's like sleeping with no pillow at all the stuff I cannot believe how rude the staff was they act like I wasn't even speaking to them they are blatantly rude and disrespectful I can't believe I spent money let alone was not refunded money for staying in this place I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.

Myself and my SO were trying to find some place to stay after a fun day in Harpers Ferry and came across the Motel 6 online. We checked in to the Charles Town WV location, got our keys, and came through the door only to find a cockroach crawling across the bed! Upon further inspection, no longer than 2 minutes of searching, we found three good sized spiders with cob webs in the corners of the room. This was unacceptable, so I asked the front desk to change rooms. She saw the room, including the spiders (by this time my SO put the cockroach outside). She then opened up another room and with minimal inspection, we found a spider underneath the pillow. She was there to witness this. After discussing this with my SO, visibly upset, the woman told us that she would refund us. After talking it over with my SO, we decided that since it was 11pm and we needed somewhere to stay, we would clean the place ourselves thoroughly and stay there. When we arrived back at the desk, the lady and her husband were now both there and they refused to let us stay there. His reason was that he does not want us to get a refund in the morning and that we are impossible to please. It came across as very rude and I was insulted at his remarks. It ended up being a large waste of time, and we left without any place to stay. To say I was extremely unsatisfied with my experience is an understatement.
Another strange complaint is that on their large sign they claim they have a triple A discount, but they told us that they didn't. Just weird that it would be on a huge sign is all.
Why does everyone have high standards of Motel 6? My only expectation is that I don't have to step over a dead body before I enter my room.
