Impressive Service and Communication from MowersDirect, A Lesson in Responsibility
So, I just went ahead and ordered my very first Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 mower from MowersDirect, you know, for our new home as a family. I placed the order yesterday and decided to pay an extra $50 for same-day delivery. Oh, and I also added a snow plow, weight kit, and chains to the order. Can you believe it? These guys are based in Illinois, and here I am in good ol' Western Maryland, and guess what? The mower is already in Ohio, making its way to me. It's supposed to arrive on Monday.
Now, let me tell you something. I checked with Home Depot, and they said the earliest they could get it to me is from the 13th to the 19th of this month. Can you imagine? And to top it off, they didn't even have the plow and chains in stock! What a bummer, right?
Now, here's something you need to understand. MowersDirect is not a dealer for these brands, okay? They are just a retail distributor. So, all you folks out there complaining about warranties, listen up! They don't have any obligations to fulfill those warranties. So, stop whining about it!
And here's another thing. When you receive a package from a truck, you know, one that has nothing to do with the seller, take a few minutes and check the package before you go ahead and sign your name on it. It's common sense, people! These guys have a small window of opportunity to file a claim with the freighter if there are any damages. Return shipping? Well, that's in the hands of the freighter too.
I've actually contacted this guy named Jeremy twice by email, and you know what? He's been pretty helpful. He answered all my questions clearly. Now, all I have to do is be patient and wait for the package to arrive from Saia Freight. Once it's here, I'll make sure to hop up on that truck and inspect everything. If there's anything wrong, I won't sign for it. Instead, I'll give Jeremy a call, and he assured me that he'll take care of it.
So, fingers crossed, folks! Let's all stop being so self-centered and start taking care of things ourselves instead of expecting everyone else to do it for us. It's time to step up and be responsible!
Terrible Customer Service and Missing Parts: A Warning About MowersDirect
In September 2020, I bought a Cub Cadet self propelled SC-300-IP 159cc lawn mower from MowersDirect for 369.99 plus tax. It took about ten days for the shipment to arrive, and thankfully, there were no obvious defects. However, due to my move, I didn't unpack and assemble the lawn mower until early October. To my disappointment, I noticed that the gas cap and a small metal screw were missing. I immediately reached out to MD and they assured me that the missing parts would be ordered and delivered to my new address as soon as possible.
I patiently waited for two weeks, hoping for some good news, but all I received was confirmation that the part had been ordered and shipped to my old address. Unfortunately, the new homeowner denied receiving the parts, leaving me in a frustrating situation. MD acknowledged their mistake and assured me that a new order had been placed. Late in October, I contacted them again, only to be told that the part would arrive on 11/02/2020. However, much to my disappointment, nothing arrived on that day.
To make matters worse, I also realized that I never received the Cub Cadet confirmation email for my initial order. When I brought this up to MD, they dismissed it as unnecessary, claiming that my order was a priority. They guaranteed that the missing part would arrive on 11/05/2020, but once again, it failed to show up. Frustrated and feeling ignored, I emailed the company again, but received no response.
Now, I find myself in a situation where I have to spend an additional $25.00 to purchase the part and pay for shipping from the Cub Cadet site. If only I had known about the runaround I would receive from MD, I would have either returned the mower or ordered a gas cap back in October. While the staff at MD may sound friendly over the phone, their incompetence has left me completely dissatisfied with their lack of customer service. I regret not going to Lowes or Home Depot, where I could have purchased the Cub Cadet product without all these troubles. Let this be a warning to all potential buyers - be cautious when dealing with MowersDirect. They are far from reliable.
MowersDirect.com: The Best Online Destination for Lawn Mower Deals and Selection
Who in their right mind buys lawn mowers online? Well, guess what? I do!
So, I was doing some snooping around on pricegrabber.com and google shopping, trying to find the best deals on lawn mowers. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon mowersdirect.com, and let me tell you, they had some pretty sweet prices and a killer selection of mowers. And the cherry on top? They ship for free!
Now, let's talk about their website. It's a piece of cake to navigate through. They've got these nifty guides that help you figure out which mower suits your needs. Plus, they've got this cool feature that lets you compare different models side by side. It's like having your own personal lawn mower showdown! The only downside is that they could use more reviews for their mowers. I mean, who doesn't love reading what others have to say before making a purchase?
By the time I stumbled upon mowersdirect.com, I had already done my fair share of research. I just needed to narrow down my options and find the perfect model. Let me tell you, I couldn't find anything even remotely comparable (and within $200) at Lowes or Home Depot. So, I thought, why not give this website a whirl?
I placed my order on a Wednesday evening, and to my surprise, it arrived on the following Tuesday. But get this, they even gave me a call on Monday to make sure I would be around to sign for it. Talk about customer service!
Now, let's talk about the ordering process. It was a breeze, my friend. They accept Google Checkout and Paypal, so you've got options. And let me tell you, they wasted no time. They processed my order in a mere 2 hours and shipped it out the very next day. Oh, and here's a little tip: they let you know upfront if something is out of stock. No surprises here!
All in all, I highly recommend mowersdirect.com for all your lawn mower needs. They've got a wide range of mowers and even offer parts for those who need 'em. Just keep in mind, though, that the parts don't ship for free. I learned that the hard way when I wanted to add an extra blade to my order. They were gonna charge me for it, and I was like, "No way, Jose!"
So, go ahead and give mowersdirect.com a shot. You won't be disappointed. Happy mowing, my friends!
Nightmare Experience with Mowers Direct: Missing Parts, No Manual, and Terrible Customer Service
I recently bought myself a Snapper lawn mower from Mowers Direct, and let me tell you, it was a complete nightmare, mate. The sales bloke assured me that all I had to do was put the handle on with a couple of screws, easy peasy. So, the mower arrived in a few days, looking all fine and dandy in the box. I slid it out of the box, grabbed the handle, and that's when I realized something was amiss, mate. The bits and bobs needed to connect the handle to the mower and attach the controls to the engine were nowhere to be found in the box. Can you believe it? I was gobsmacked.
So, I decided to reach out to Mowers Direct's customer service, hoping they could sort me out. They said they would ship the missing parts to me, but guess what? It took a whole bloomin' week for those connecting parts to arrive. And get this, they came in fifteen plastic bags, each with screws, bolts, washers, handle covers, and a massive plastic piece to stick between the handles. The bags even had numbers on 'em and page numbers to help me put everything together. But here's the kicker, mate - there was no manual to be found. I scoured the internet, mate, but couldn't find a manual anywhere. So, I emailed Mowers Direct's customer service, explaining the situation. And you know what they said? They had the audacity to tell me to reference the manual. I mean, seriously? How can I reference something that doesn't exist? I told 'em straight up, "There is no manual, you numpties!"
Oh, and get this, they also had the cheek to suggest I contact Snapper's customer service. Can you believe the nerve? If you've been following along, you can clearly see that Mowers Direct's motto is "Let the buyer beware." I was flabbergasted that they didn't even offer to get me the manual. Nope, they just left me high and dry, mate. Sending the mower back would've cost me a fortune in shipping fees, not to mention a whopping 25% repackaging fee. I've spent thousands of dollars ordering stuff online, and now it seems it's my turn to have dealt with a dodgy company like Mowers Direct. Absolutely gutted, I tell ya.
Misleading Warranties: Mowers Direct's Marketing Tricks Exposed
So, I bought this Honda push mower from Mowers Direct, right? It's been about 11 months now, and I gotta say, it's been doing pretty well. But, you know, just to be safe, I went ahead and got myself that extended warranty. They really push those warranties on you, man. They keep talking about it when you're on hold and all over their website. It's like, "Hey, watch out, buddy!"
Anyway, in the 11th month of owning this mower, I had a little issue. The pull start wouldn't grab the engine to get it going. I thought to myself, "No worries, man. This should be covered by either the manufacturer's warranty or that fancy extended warranty I got." So, I called up the company, right? But let me tell you, I was on hold for like, forever. I swear, it felt like 30 minutes or something.
Finally, I got through to a real person, and guess what? They gave me the wrong number for the service center! Can you believe that? So, I did a little detective work and Googled the company they told me about. Turns out, they don't even do lawn mower repairs! Can you imagine?
So, I did some more Googling and found a couple of places that were supposedly Mowers Direct Service Centers. I called one of them up, and you know what they told me? They said that my problem probably wouldn't be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Apparently, that only covers defects from the manufacturer, and the extended warranty just extends the original one. Like, seriously? If there was a defect, wouldn't it show up in the first month or something? Why bother with an extended warranty that only covers defects? Are they expecting the defect to magically appear after two years or what?
My main issue here is how Mowers Direct markets these warranties. They make you think that your equipment will be covered if it suddenly stops working. But let me tell you, that's not the case at all. You can get the same kind of service at any of those big box stores, man. Heck, you might as well take your mower to a local repair shop or just look it up on YouTube if you have a problem. These warranties are just scams, man. They're just trying to squeeze a little more money out of every customer.
So, yeah, that's my take on Mowers Direct and their warranties. Don't fall for their marketing tricks, my friend. Stick to the basics and save yourself some cash.
Frustrating Experience with MowersDirect: Wrong Bags, Restocking Fee, Delayed Shipping, and Incorrect Parts
I gotta say, I had a pretty frustrating experience with MowersDirect. I ordered a zero-turn mower and some bags to go with it, but when the bags arrived, they didn't match the mower I bought. Can you believe that? They told me that the bags were for last year's model, not the one I bought.
I had to have a few discussions with them about it, and finally, they told me to send the bags back. They promised me a full refund because it was their mistake, but guess what? They still charged me a 25% restocking fee! Can you believe the nerve of these guys?
I've never dealt with a merchant like this before in my life. It's just ridiculous. And to top it all off, their processing time was a joke. They kept pushing back the ship date for my order, saying it was on backorder. I mean, come on, how hard is it to get things shipped on time?
They kept sending me updates about the delay, but it was always just more bad news. They said my order might ship sooner depending on where I was on the backorder list, but who knows if that was even true. And they blamed production delays for the hold-up too. It's like they couldn't get their act together.
Finally, after what felt like forever, they shipped my order in multiple shipments. But even then, they messed up again. They included a part that I didn't even need for my mower. They told me to try installing the bagger without it, like that would solve the problem. I hope it does, but who knows?
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with MowersDirect. They really dropped the ball on this one. I hope they get their act together and start treating their customers better. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone after this experience.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MowersDirect: Delayed Refund and Lack of Communication
I used to be a super satisfied customer of MowersDirect, but now I'm feeling pretty negative about them. I did a lot of research to find the best mower for my needs, and I even called a few online companies to get some live feedback and guidance. MowersDirect seemed great at first, but things went downhill after I made the purchase.
I decided to go with the Cub Cadet and sent in my check on June 25 to take advantage of their so-called "better value discount" (sounds like some fancy marketing stuff, right?). They received my check on June 30, but did they bother to give me a call? Nope! So, on July 9, I decided to call them to check on the status of my mower delivery. I spoke to Jim and Jared, and after they did some digging, they told me that my order was on back order. Apparently, the mower was already on back order before they even got my check, and it wouldn't be in stock until mid-August. Bummer!
But hey, no worries, they said. If I didn't want to wait, they would refund my check. I thought about it for a bit and called back to request a refund. Jared assured me that my refund request had been submitted and that I would receive my check in 4 to 6 days by mail. I was disappointed, but I needed a mower in July, not August.
Fast forward to July 17, when I called to check on the status of my refund check. Guess what? They hadn't even sent it yet! And to make matters worse, they told me that they wouldn't be sending it out until the next "check run" on July 22. Seriously, I am not a happy camper right now.
When I asked why my funds hadn't been sent yet, neither Jim nor Jared could give me a straight answer. All Chitra could say was "sorry." And when I requested to speak to someone in charge of signing the checks at MowersDirect, she told me that it was the accounting department and that they only received emails. Can you believe it? They don't even have a phone? And nobody seems to be in charge? Seriously?
MowersDirect really needs to step up their customer service game. They had no problem cashing my check within 6 days of me mailing it, but they can't seem to get their act together when it comes to sending me my refund. It looks like I might have to take my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. If only MowersDirect had communicated with me a little better from the start, I might have still considered being a future customer. But now, there's no way that's happening.
I hope anyone who's thinking of working with MowersDirect chooses a different company. It's always better to deal with honest business people who have some integrity. Unfortunately, MowersDirect seems to lack both.
Mowers Direct Review: A Cautionary Tale of Disappointments and Frustrations
So, I was on the hunt for a Snapper mower in my neck of the woods, but it seemed like nobody had 'em last year. What a bummer, right? But fear not, my fellow grass enthusiasts, for I stumbled upon Mowers Direct on the good ol' internet. I took a gander at all the different models they had to offer and thought to myself, "Hey, the price ain't too shabby compared to others out there. Plus, they throw in free shipping and no tax. Score!"
But hold your horses, folks, 'cause here's where things took a turn. I received a notification that the mower would require a signature upon delivery. That meant someone had to be home to sign for it. Now, here's the kicker - I work a solid hour away from my humble abode. Luckily, my better half made arrangements to be there once the call came in, letting us know they were on their merry way. But guess what? That call never came. Imagine our surprise when we got home that evening and found the mower chillin' on our front porch. Talk about a letdown.
Now, here's where the real fun begins. When my trusty son arrived, we embarked on the grand adventure of assembling the mower, following the instructions to a T. Oh, and let me tell ya, this bad boy didn't come with gas and oil like most mowers do. Nope, we had to fill 'er up ourselves. No biggie, right? Well, not exactly. Turns out, there were so many different parts that needed to be attached to the mower, we had to rely heavily on those instructions. And wouldn't ya know it, there were even some missing parts. Can you believe it?
But hey, we didn't let that deter us. We gave the starter rope a good yank, and lo and behold, the mower roared to life on the first try. We made a quick pass on the grass to check the height, shut it down to raise it up a notch, and made a second pass. All seemed well until disaster struck. On the third pass, out of the blue, the mower just conked out. And try as we might, we couldn't get it to start again. Talk about a major buzzkill. When we pulled the rope, the blade spun freely, as if mocking our futile attempts to revive the poor thing.
Naturally, the next day I called up Mowers Direct to voice my concerns. And what did they tell me? Brace yourselves, folks. They basically washed their hands of the whole situation, telling me I needed to take it to a local repair shop. Can you believe the nerve? They wanted nothing to do with me or my mower once it had been gassed up. Talk about passing the buck, am I right?
So off to the local shop I went, feeling a mix of frustration and hope. And what did they tell me? Brace yourselves once again, my friends. It seems that this mower of mine had been run without a drop of oil, causing the rod to seize up and the cylinders to get all scored up. Not exactly what I had in mind when I envisioned a smooth mowing experience. Now, they're in talks with the Snapper manufacturer to figure out who's gonna foot the bill for this mess. Let me tell ya, I'm about ready to cancel my credit card payment and send 'em back this sorry excuse for a mower in a million tiny pieces.
It's been a whopping three weeks since I placed my order, and in the meantime, I've had to beg and borrow my neighbors' mowers just to keep my grass in check. And to add insult to injury, I'm out a whopping $650.00, maybe even more. Can you believe it? I sure can't. Once I get my hands on a name and number, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be giving the manufacturer a piece of my mind.
So, my dear lawn-loving comrades, take heed of my cautionary tale. Steer clear of Mowers Direct if you know what's good for ya. Trust me, you don't wanna end up in the same sorry situation as yours truly.
Buyer Beware: Poor Customer Service and Reluctant Local Dealers - MowersDirect Review
If I could post on their site, I would, but thank you, Site Jabber. First off, I bought a riding mower from MowersDirect (P E D). The first one came damaged by the shipper. The second one came in about 5 days later with issues. The intake and the engine guard were both damaged, bent, warped, whatever. So, I contacted them, MowersDirect. They asked if I put gas in it. I said yes because that was the only way to see the engine damage while the intake is spinning on top. Here's where it gets interesting. They told me to take it to a service center to have it looked at. However, when me and them called three or four service centers, no one wanted to touch the mower without being paid first! When they found out it was bought on the net, they all refused to look at it. Buyer beware, local dealers don't, or rather, I should say, they are very reluctant to deal with anything bought off the net. I just paid 1700 dollars for something that doesn't work. I kept calling customer service, trying to find someone to service it. The managers there are no help! And very arrogant. All I heard was, "Well, we're not taking it back because you put gas in it." How in the hell would I have found the problem without putting gas in it? Please be careful, local shops feel like you're taking away from them trying to make a living by purchasing online. And once they find out you purchased online and need service, they shut you down, and rightly so. After I saw how I was treated after an online purchase, anyhow, I found an honest Briggs and Stratton guy who looked at it and didn't judge me for where I bought it and fixed it for me. Let's see, now I had to borrow a trailer three times, gas in my truck, 2 days off early from work, and nothing from the company in the form of any compensation for the inconvenience. They told me to produce a bill that I paid. I have to say, Jose, who works for the company, really tried to help, and Jennifer in shipping is great. The rest, including those smug managers, suck! They say on the site that once you put gas in, they can't ship it back. Okay, no problem. How about checking it before it goes out? Instead of asking the customer to shell out more money to fix a brand new tractor (mower). Do yourself a favor, buy local, fewer problems, quicker recourse to the seller.
Nightmare Experience with MowersDirect: Faulty Snapper Mower & Terrible Customer Service
So, I decided to give MowersDirect a shot and ordered myself a brand spanking new Snapper riding lawn mower. Now, let me tell you, the whole process was a bit of a headache. I placed my order and waited patiently for a confirmation, but guess what? No confirmation came through. I wasn't about to give up though, so I went ahead and placed three more orders within the span of two days. Finally, on my fourth attempt, I received an email with a receipt confirming my purchase. Phew!
But wait, the fun doesn't stop there. When the lawn mower finally arrived, I was pretty stoked. It was a good-looking Snapper model number SPX2246. However, problem number one slapped me in the face - there was no key to start the darn thing! No manual either. I mean, seriously? How am I supposed to mow my lawn without a key? Frustrated, I reached out to the company and asked them to send me a key ASAP.
Now, here's where things get interesting. I discovered a little hack to start the mower - just unplug the wires off the ignition switch and voila! It fired up. With gas in the tank and oil checked, I was ready to tackle my lawn. But guess what? Within an hour of mowing, the belt on the deck decided to call it quits. Talk about bad luck! I immediately called the company again, hoping they would come to my rescue and send me a new belt. But nope, they hit me with the "we don't do warranty work" line. Seriously?
So, I did what any frustrated customer would do - I started calling Snapper dealers in my area. And let me tell you, it was a wild goose chase. Those clowns didn't want to help me out either. After countless calls, I finally stumbled upon a jerk who reluctantly told me it would take a whopping six weeks to get a new belt for my mower. Six weeks! Can you believe it?
Feeling defeated, I decided to give MowersDirect another shot. I left them a message, explaining my situation and reminding them that I had purchased a brand new Snapper from them. I was promised a call back from a guy named Jose, who was supposed to help me out. Well, surprise, surprise - no friggin' phone call from Jose. Talk about unreliable!
Now, let me give you a word of caution - beware of Snapper lawn mowers! I thought they were supposed to be top-notch machines, but boy, was I wrong. Sure, if you just want to ride around your property like it's a fancy toy, then go ahead and get yourself a Snapper. But if you actually want to mow your lawn without any headaches, steer clear!
Let's talk about the belts, shall we? The first one lasted a measly hour before giving up on life. After some trial and error (thank goodness for my problem-solving skills), I managed to figure out how to put on a new belt without a manual. But guess what? That belt, which cost me a whopping thirty-five dollars, lasted a grand total of forty-five minutes. Can you believe it? Now, I'm stuck with a Snapper riding lawn mower that cost me a hefty twenty-six hundred dollars, and it's going to take me at least four belts just to mow my place. That's a whopping one hundred and forty dollars worth of belts each time I want to mow my grass. And mind you, I have to do it twice a week. So, that's two hundred and eighty dollars a week, which adds up to a mind-boggling eleven hundred and twenty dollars a month!
Trust me, my friends, save yourself the trouble and don't buy from MowersDirect. And definitely, steer clear of Snapper riding lawn mowers. They may look good, but they'll drain your wallet faster than you can say "lawn maintenance."

Beware of MowersDirect: Unreliable Shipping and Poor Customer Service
If ya get everythin' right and don't gotta deal with 'em, it prob'ly works, but if ya run into a problem, yer pretty much screwed!
So, when I got me Husqvarna from MowersDirect, the backorder date kept gettin' pushed back, ya know? I had to finally switch me order to a different model they actually had in stock. When I finally got me hands on it, I was 'bout to move overseas, and I signed off on a box that looked undamaged. But when I cracked it open, boy, there was no way in h-ll I would've signed if I saw them transport damages that were hidin' inside.
I gave 'em a call, and all they said was they'd send me a spray can to fix the issue. But I told 'em straight up, I ain't happy with that and I want a different solution. So I sent 'em an email explainin' that I'd have to deal with this mess after movin' abroad. And ya know what their response was? They said I couldn't file no claim. Can ya believe that?
Let me tell ya, folks, stay far away from MowersDirect. When things don't work out, that's when ya need a seller ya can trust.
Nightmare Experience with MowersDirect: Unreliable, Unresponsive, and Unfair Charges
I recently bought myself a triple lawn bagger for my trusty mower from MowersDirect. I thought it would be a smooth and easy process, but boy was I wrong! I went ahead and made my purchase online, but to my surprise, I didn't receive any confirmation or email about it. I was a bit puzzled, so I decided to check my bank account to see if any charges had been made. Lo and behold, there were no charges at all!
Feeling a bit concerned, I tried calling MowersDirect several times, but no one answered. It was like they were playing hide and seek with me! Frustrated and thinking that maybe I had made a mistake somewhere, I decided to give it another shot and purchased the bagger again. But guess what? The same thing happened! No confirmation, no email, absolutely nothing. At this point, I had had enough and decided to take my business elsewhere.
But oh, the drama didn't end there! A day or so later, I received a notification from my credit card company saying that I had been charged not once, not twice, but THREE times! I was furious! I tried desperately to get in touch with MowersDirect to sort out this mess, but it seemed like they were avoiding me. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to reach a person on the other end of the line. But instead of providing me with a solution, they told me that the baggers hadn't even been shipped yet and couldn't be canceled. Can you believe it?
To add insult to injury, the very same day, those baggers were magically shipped out. And now, MowersDirect has the audacity to ask for a "shipping" fee, or as another person called it, a "re-stocking" fee. Can you believe the nerve of these people? I tried to reason with them, explain my frustrations, but they simply brushed it off and put the blame on me, the customer. How dare they?
Let me tell you, dear reader, never, and I mean NEVER, should you even consider buying anything from this dreadful company called MowersDirect. They have caused me nothing but headaches, wasted time, and unnecessary charges. Spare yourself the trouble and find a more reliable and customer-friendly company to fulfill your mower needs. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
WARNING: Disappointing Experience with Mowers Direct - Broken Mower, Poor Customer Service, and Costly Returns
WARNING TO ALL WHO PURCHASE MOWERS ONLINE: So, I went ahead and bought one of them fancy electric start mowers from Mowers Direct online. Well, let me tell ya, it was a real disappointment right from the get-go. When the mower finally arrived at my doorstep, I noticed that the battery cover was just hangin' off like nobody's business. And to top it off, the connector for the charger was completely busted off from the battery housing. Can you believe that?
Naturally, I wasn't too thrilled about this whole situation, so I did what any sensible person would do. I took some pictures of the damage and sent 'em over to Mowers Direct. I thought, "Hey, maybe they'll understand and send me a new one, no problem." But oh boy, was I wrong. They had the audacity to tell me that I had to take it to some fancy full service dealer to get it fixed. Can you believe that? I mean, come on, I bought it from them, not from some random dealer!
So, I thought I'd give 'em another shot and asked if I could just ship it back for a replacement. But guess what? They hit me with a whopping $81 bill for the shipping both ways. Can you believe the nerve? I mean, it's not like I asked for a broken mower in the first place! And as if that wasn't enough, they had the gall to tell me that the full service dealer wouldn't even be able to look at it for a good ol' three weeks. Three weeks! By that time, winter will be knockin' on my door!
Now, here's the real kicker. I decided to check out their website, just out of curiosity, ya know? And what do I find? A whole page dedicated to the story of how this company got started. And you won't believe it, but it all began with a frustrating shopping trip to buy a mower! Can you imagine? It's like they took their own frustration and decided to pass it on to us poor customers. Ain't that just a hoot?
So, let me tell ya, folks. If you're thinkin' about buyin' a mower from Mowers Direct, you might wanna think twice. 'Cause if my experience is any indication, you'll be in for a whole heap of trouble. And trust me, you don't wanna be stuck with a broken mower and a company that couldn't care less. Save yourself the headache and find yourself a better place to spend your hard-earned cash. That's my two cents, take it or leave it.

Terrible Experience with Mowers Direct: Unreliable Mower and Poor Customer Service
I bought this thing from Mowers Direct, right? Let me tell ya, this mower is a real pain in the you-know-what. It's like it has a mind of its own! First off, if the temperature drops below 50 degrees, forget about it. This thing won't even start. And don't even get me started on the wheel alignment. It's all messed up! To go straight, you gotta turn the wheel to the left, like you're making a left turn or something. It's ridiculous!
So, I reached out to the folks at Mowers Direct to see if they could help me out. And you know what they did? They accused me of putting old gas in the mower! Can you believe that? Like I'm some kind of idiot who would spend $3400 on a brand new mower and then fill it up with old gas. Give me a break! They had the nerve to tell me to take it to a dealer. Yeah, right! As if I have time to wait around for weeks for some dealer to fix their mistake.
Let me tell you, this company does not stand by their products. They sold me this thing claiming it was in perfect working condition, but it's far from it. It's a piece of junk that won't even start! So, I decided to go through Paypal to see if I could get a refund. But guess what? I can only get my money back if I pay for the shipping fee. And you know what else? The seller won't even cover that! Can you believe the nerve of these people?
It's like ordering a brand new car and when it finally arrives, it won't even start. I don't know about you, but if that happened to me, I'd want my money back, no questions asked. But apparently, Mowers Direct doesn't see it that way. They just want to make a quick buck and leave you hanging with a useless mower.
So, let this be a warning to all you folks out there. Don't waste your time or money on Mowers Direct. They don't care about their customers and they certainly don't stand by their products. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable company that actually values your business. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
False Shipping Estimates, Poor Customer Service, and Overpriced: Avoid this Company!
The shipping estimate they gave me was a total lie, man. They said it would be sent out on a certain day, but guess what? They didn't send it! So, I was like, "Nah, I'm done with this," and I cancelled my order. But then, they had the audacity to email me saying I couldn't cancel because they already sent it. Like, seriously? According to the time on that email, they hadn't even sent it yet! Talk about shady business practices.
They promised that the mower would arrive on Wednesday, but here I am on Friday afternoon, still waiting. And let me tell you, they don't even try to make things right or satisfy the customer. It's like they don't even care, man. If you can't wait around forever for your delivery, they hit you with a hefty charge for return shipping. I mean, come on! That's just not cool.
And here's the kicker, they ain't even the cheapest option out there. They try to trick you into thinking you're getting a good deal, but in reality, there are way cheaper places to buy from. You'll get your stuff just as fast and save yourself hundreds of dollars. Don't fall for their tricks, man.
If they've screwed you over too, I'm telling you, a class action lawsuit is just waiting to happen. Their customer service is straight up lousy, like the worst you can imagine. They don't care about you or your satisfaction. So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys. Go find a better, cheaper place to buy from. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Disappointing Price Match Guarantee and Hidden Fees - Beware of Mowers Direct!
So, I was on the hunt for a brand spanking new mower for a good few months, you know? And then, out of the blue, I stumbled upon Mowers Direct. They had some pretty sweet deals going on, with prices that made my wallet do a little happy dance. And to top it all off, they promised free shipping! Can't beat that, right?
Now, here's where things took a bit of a turn. I finally made up my mind and picked out a mower, but guess what? Yours truly found an even lower price somewhere else. Talk about luck, huh? So, I reached out to Mowers Direct again, all excited to take advantage of their price match guarantee. But, hold your horses, folks, because they hit me with a bombshell. They couldn't honor their own guarantee! Can you believe it? No explanation, no nothing. Just a big fat "nope."
To make matters worse, they were gonna slap an extra $350 on top of the original price for the mower if I went through them. And oh, let's not forget the cherry on top - an additional $50 for their fancy lift gate service. I mean, seriously? I thought this was supposed to be free shipping, but I guess not. And that so-called low price guarantee? Yeah, it's about as useful as a broken umbrella in a rainstorm.
So, my advice to all you fine folks reading this review is to shop around, okay? Don't fall into the trap of getting all starry-eyed over that guarantee, because trust me, it's worth diddly-squat when you find a better deal elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and find a company that actually stands by their promises. You'll thank me later.
Mixed Feelings About the Honda Lawn Mower: Great Features, but Major Issues
I'm gonna try to keep this short and sweet, ya know? So, I got myself this fancy Lawn Mower from one of them big ol' stores on July 19, 2019. Gotta say, I was pretty happy with it when I first used it. But then, I ran into a bit of a pickle. Couldn't for the life of me figure out how to adjust the handlebar. Ah well, I thought, I'll deal with it come Springtime.
Then, to make matters worse, the dang drive belt gave out on me after only about 9 hours of use. Can you believe it? And since it was already late October, I just decided to put the mower away until Spring rolled around again. I called up them folks at Honda Customer Service and they told me that the handlebar ain't adjustable. Well, ain't that just peachy?
So, here's the deal. I really do like the Honda engine and them twin blades (although the service center didn't sharpen 'em 'cause I forgot to ask). And that self-propelled feature? It's a real game-changer. But let me tell ya, if Honda would just take this mower back and give me 80 percent of what I paid, I'd jump on that offer faster than a squirrel on a nut. Seriously.
Oh, and by the way, I tried to upload a photo of my receipt, but my darn computer wouldn't let me. Can you believe the nerve of that thing? Anyways, that's all I gotta say about that.
Take care,
Mike Clowery
Disappointing Experience with MowersDirect: Lack of Communication and Inefficiency
I recently placed an order for a mower from MowersDirect, expecting it to be dispatched within 2-3 days. Initially, I received an automated email confirming my order, which was a good start. However, as the days went by, I heard nothing from them. It took some effort on our part to reach out and inquire about the status of our order, only to find out that they were waiting for a delivery. They didn't bother to inform us about the delay, so on the 7th day, we decided to give them a call and express our frustration. Surprise, surprise! They informed us that the mower was actually in stock and had already been dispatched. But here's the kicker: when we received the email from the delivery company, it turned out that they hadn't even picked up the mower for another 24 hours. So, from ordering early on a Thursday, we had to wait a whopping 11 days for the delivery to arrive.
It's quite evident that MowersDirect is not a specialized garden equipment retailer, but rather a company that simply moves boxes around. All they seem to do is order items and then send them out, and they can't even do that efficiently. It's frustrating to see them advertise items for delivery when they don't actually have them in stock. It's like false advertising, you know? To make matters worse, despite checking online before placing my order, I have now discovered that the same mower is available elsewhere for £30 cheaper. I don't mind paying a bit more for a good and efficient service, but this experience was far from satisfactory. The blame lies solely with MowersDirect, not the delivery company.
Overall, my experience with MowersDirect has been disappointing. Their lack of communication and inefficiency in handling orders is a major letdown. It's clear that they prioritize moving boxes over providing a quality service to their customers. I would advise others to be cautious when considering purchasing from MowersDirect, as there are likely better options available elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with MowersDirect: Non-Functioning Honda HRX Mower and Poor Customer Service
I had made up my mind to get myself a Honda HRX mower to replace the sturdy model that I adored and had passed down to my son. Unfortunately, the local stores didn't carry it, so I decided to give MowersDirect a call. I spoke to a salesperson who assured me that they had the mower in stock and even mentioned that I could return it if there were any issues. Feeling reassured, I went ahead and placed my order online.
But then, my wife chimed in with a concern. She asked about the reviews of MowersDirect, and my heart sank as I saw a measly 1.6 stars. Panic started to set in, and I found myself praying for a positive outcome.
When the package arrived, I cautiously inspected it. It appeared to be a brand new model, neatly packed and all. However, I couldn't help but notice that the tape on the bottom of the box was peeling off, which made me question the overall quality. Despite my reservations, I proceeded to add the oil and fresh gas, turned on the fuel line, and began pulling the starter cord. And I kept pulling. And pulling. To my dismay, nothing happened.
My confidence quickly evaporated as I watched my grass grow taller by the day. Frustrated, I reached out to MowersDirect for assistance. To my surprise, they informed me that since I had already added fuel, I was now stuck with the non-functioning mower. They advised me to contact Honda directly.
Now, my supposedly brand new mower, which hasn't even started once, is sitting in a repair shop. I can't help but kick myself for not doing more research on MowersDirect before making my purchase. If I had known better, I would have definitely avoided buying from them. It seems like they're content with having taken my hard-earned $1000 and leaving me to deal with all the hassle. It's a painful lesson learned, that's for sure.
Disappointing Customer Service and Delayed Delivery from MowersDirect
I recently made a purchase from MowersDirect, specifically the husqvarna hu800awdx bbc push mower, which was supposed to be the best one they had. However, when it arrived, I noticed that the height adjusters were bent. As someone who runs a business involving mowers, I was really looking forward to trying out this new mower. I immediately contacted their customer service, and I must say, the lady I spoke to was very nice and direct. She seemed great.
After explaining the issue, I was transferred to a "mower specialist" who assured me that they would take care of it. I received an email about half a week later, stating that they had finally placed the order for the replacement parts. This surprised me because they had initially told me that they had already ordered it about four days prior. I decided to inquire about the estimated delivery time, and the specialist informed me that it would take "5 to 7 days." Naturally, I asked him to clarify from which day the count would begin. He then mentioned that it would start from Friday. I thought to myself, "Okay, whatever, 5 to 7 days."
To my dismay, I received another email stating that it would actually take 7 to 10 days for the parts to arrive. Apparently, this timeframe only includes business days, but I will have to wait until Tuesday, which will be the 10th business day, to see if they keep their word. Dealing with MowersDirect has been an absolute nightmare, and I had expected much better service from a supposedly professional business. Especially considering the fact that I spent around $750 on their products, I feel like they have treated me pretty poorly. They keep pushing back the delivery date, yet they continue to apologize. If they were truly sorry, they would have sent the replacement parts via priority mail, instead of making me wait for 10 business days.
