unauthorized account charges
Hi,
I've got an account discrepancy with my MRP account card.
For the past couple of weeks now, my online balance varies to the balance shown in-store.
I have contacted the custom service desk numerous times to no avail. Although they have confirmed that my online balance is the one that I should stick to - how come the in-store balance has never been corrected?!
Currently my balances read as below:
Online = R1147.10
In-Store = R1649.45
That is a massive difference of R502.35
I cannot account for that R502.35 so I know that I did not spend that amount of money!
I have gone back and checked all my transactions from the past month and the online balance is definitely the correct one.
Can someone please assist me by correcting your in-store balance of my account?

lack of service and refunding at mr price home - kolenade retail park
I returned some double gifts I received for my kitchen tea from a registry for which they gave me the amount value on a gift card in the beginning of October. Since then I haven't been to a Mr Price store and the gift card was locked away.
Today [protected]) when I went to the same store I received unacceptable service as the store claimed that the money on the gift card had already been used. I explained everything to them and the manager phoned head office to track the gift card number. Head office claimed that the gift card was used in Vredenburg. I have never been to Vredenburg in my entire life. How could I have used the gift card there?
The manager of the store said that they would look into the matter and give me feedback later today, as there is a possibility that the card may have been cloned. I did receive a call from Mr Price Home which asked whether I knew somebody with the surname Swart (that I presume used the gift card), but I don't. Since then I still haven't received any feedback. The manager of the store kept my details with the gift card, thus I can not provide its details.
I am extremely upset as I wanted to use the gift card today, but had to pay in the amount. The store is basically stealing R349.95 from me which I am expecting to get back. I do not want it in a gift card form as I do not want to buy anything from your store ever again and I did spend the amount today.
Please be so kind as to tell me what steps to take next.

I placed 2 orders on the 21/11/16 and it stated that delivery will be made 1-3days time. I have made several calls to the customer care and all they can sat to me is that there is a problem with the online orders and cannot track my orders. The last call I made to them they stated that they are over choked with orders due to black Friday. So is black Friday so important that you cannot keep to your word about the orders. The question from Samukelisiwe Mchunu (MRP Help) might as well have read: "Will you please do my job for me. Will you phone the stores?" If I knew where to look for the pants I would have done it myself.
The question should have been: "I will check on the system which of our Mr. P stores/branches has this product/item in stock & get back to you" .
To date I have not received any feedback. My original request was sent on the 21st or 22nd of November, I included ALL the details, including the store I could not find the size - I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY FEEDBACK. I send another enquiry & got this ridiculous response from Samukelisiwe Mchunu - see above.
Kindly advise me now: Should I give up on this request or should I keep going at it until somebody finally gives in and help me?
Any suggestions on how I can get an answer... any suggestion will do?
In the meantime, do you think there is any chance that I will get the pants I enquired about?

I would like to log a complaint about MR PRICE's online delivery service. I placed an order online at MR PRICE Sunday (27.11.2016) afternoon at about 16h00, thinking that Monday morning the order will be received and processed for delivery 1-3 working days, which means latest delivery will take place on Wednesday (30.11.2016). Tuesday and Wednesday, after I had no reply or any feedback regarding my order, I phoned the online department to follow up on my order. I spoke to a lady Dalene, she said that there is a back log of orders due to the black friday specials. I placed my order in advance as I NEED the merchandise by Friday (02.12.2016). I kept on following up with Dalene and the last feedback from her was that she tried with the courier company, but with no luck they will most probably be able to deliver by 10h30am tomorrow (02.12.2016) morning. I also told her that we are having our Christmas fuction tomorrow (02.12.2016) and we are going out for the day leaving at 8h00am and I need the goodies before 8h00am! This is the worst online delivery service I ever received from MRP ONLINE!
This is very much unacceptable, as the lead time states 1-3 WORKING days, and we are currently running towards 5 WORKING days. If the courier company decides to rock up at the delivery address tomorrow later than 8h00 there will be nobody to receive the parcel, which then delays delivery for another 4 - 5 days due to the weekend ahead. This is also inconveniencing me, because I must now go run around after work to find what I actually order online with MRP, but because of their bad delivery service have not received my parcel.

This is my message to Mr Price, which was deleted without a response from the cowards:
To Whom It May Concern:
Once again, it is out of utter frustration that I resort to posting my issues with you on a public forum. I have tried all other methods of communication, and yet nothing seems to get through to you, so here goes...
I have an account with Mr Price, which I've had for numerous years. In the time that I've had this account, I have not missed a single payment. In fact, it's been brought to my attention that I have been overpaying you for numerous years, due to the fact that your system does not update the amounts in a timely fashion. And when I dare pay you less than what you incorrectly claim, I am continuously harassed, and threatened. Basically, you bully customers into paying far more than what they actually owe you on a monthly basis.
On the 18th of October, I contacted Mr Price (once again - I've had many arguments with you regarding the fact that you continuously overcharge me), and spoke to one of your Team Managers, Shamla Rajah. Ms Rajah admitted that I have been overpaying you, due to the system spewing forth incorrect information, and proceeded to send me my updated statement, with the correct amounts.
This is the amount I then paid at the end of the month.
And yet, still, the harassing phone calls and text messages continued, stating that I have short paid on my account, and that if I do not pay you a certain (preposterous) amount by the end of the day, you will basically tarnish my name, by giving me a bad credit record. Needless to say, this has causing me a lot of stress and unnecessary grief.
I once again e-mailed Ms Rajah, to inform her that I am still being harassed, despite of the fact that I have paid the correct instalment, given to me by her (over the phone, as well as in writing.) I received no response from her.
The “harassment” (eg phone calls, text messages, etc.) continued. During the week of the 17th until the 20th of October, I received no less than 9 calls, various voicemails, and text messages. Many of these phone calls are after 7pm, when I'm trying to have dinner with my family. All for money that I DO NOT OWE YOU. MY INSTALMENTS HAVE BEEN PAID UP TO DATE!
I have not bought on my account for the past few months, and I intend on closing it ASAP. But in the meanwhile, I don't think it's fair that I am being harassed and threatened, even though I am a paying customer. I have never short paid you, I have never missed a payment, and yet I get treated like a criminal.
I don't think it's fair that you are overcharging your customers (without whom you would not exist), thus breaking the contract that we signed with you. (Which is, six months in order to pay off the total amount due to you, including interest.) Not two months, not three, but SIX.

5. (2) A debt collector, in the process of collecting a debt, shall have due regard for the person, the property, and the civil rights of a debtor, and shall ensure that any action taken against a debtor does not humiliate, threaten, or cause distress to such a debtor;

(a) Collect or attempt to collect for a creditor money in excess of the amount owing by the debtor to the creditor, except for interest, and costs legally recoverable;

(i) Make telephone or personal calls or send written communications, which may constitute excessive harassment of the debtor, his or her spouse, or any member of his or her family;
(k) Engage in any other excessive conduct which can reasonably be expected to harass the debtor or persons related to him or her.
You have broken each and every one of these, by continuously harassing me over money that i simply do not owe you, and by lying to your customers about the amounts due on a monthly basis!
I have forwarded all of the relevant information on to my lawyer. I will be taking this matter further.
I will simply not stand to be bullied for a moment longer, by a corporation as incompetent and unprofessional as the likes of you.
PS: Perhaps if you focus more on the quality of your clothing, as opposed to harassing paying customers, you might be a tad less crap. Just saying.
a particular individual giving the worst service
I often visit Mr price at Eastgate in Bedfordview Johannesburg and use their new time saving card system and this is the second time I've received crappy service from the same lady. Today I was lucky enough to get her name and it is OKUHLE
I was standing in the line and she noticed I was there I'm sure the store has cameras to actually see what happened ... anyway I stood in the line for the card machines and as soon as she was done with the customer before me I put my stuff down to pay and she walked away from me and goes and aimlessly looks for someone who is paying with a card.this is the second time.she has done this. And she was rude and told me that I'm. Wrong and that there is no line I have to join the normal queue and wait until I get called to pay with a card. What is point of the speed service if you still have to wait in line. So glad to get her name because it's the 2nd time she has walked away from.me to serve another customer pretending not to see me. And yes I do go there almost everyday so I do remember the face and I very upset with her service. Definitely not on the standard as the rest of the staff give and it's really not cool to treat customers like that.

I found a puppy 3 months ago and I nurtured it and look aftered it as if it was part of our family. Last week Saturday the puppy injured its paw
walking down the slippery stairs. I took the puppy to 3 vets and found out it was too expensive, so I decided to take it to the SPCA in Springfield Park, hoping to get a reasonable price for treatment but
the foreigner speaking doctor who examined the pup without touching its paw gave a report saying if the pup is not treated by Tuesday they will put it down, I think the SPCA is out to kill animals than giving them a little hope to live. I am devastated because the pup has been part of my family for 3 to 4 months, and because we don't have the finances is this the only option.

My wife doesnt allways have time to go to the branch and pay our account cash. She followed the *120*410# online options (as also advised by one of the sleeping shop clerks) to do a payment online. She paid our account on the 30th of last month according to the online procedure. Two days later she got a call from a consultant asking her why she didnt pay our account? My wife confirmed the online payment but was told that "that system doesnt allways work" How was she suppose to know that and she paid on time to avoid calls like this. My wife went into the RIVERSIDE MR PRICE STORE (when she eventually could make some time) and was told that the system now shows our account as TWO MONTHS IN ARREARS AFTER WE PAID ON TIME! OUR ITC CREDIT SCORE NOW SHOWS SLOW PAYER! She was told that we can use the online system for payments which we did! My wife had to now pay two months payments AND LATE CHARGES! FOR WHAT? YOUR MISTAKE AND USELESSNESS? You better fix this and our creditscore otherwise theres hell to pay. The Riverside Mr Price "branch manager" - Simakie, just shrugs his shoulders at our problem. Its not his problem so why should he care? My wife paid the two payments and the late charges (13/7/2016) (REFUND PLEASE!) and today the system STILL SHOWS HER BEING TWO MONTHS IN ARREARS! If we apply for credit anyware we will get declined BECAUSE OF THE IDIOTS THAT WORKS FOR MR PRICE.. I am going to start here. If you dont sort it out, i will continue other avenues and i wont stop. I hope you have somebody that is actually awake there today!
clothes bad quality
I bought i shirt on the 14th of March 2016 at a mr Price store. Today i am wearing the shirt for 2nd time. Guess what? I see that the material is tearing under both arms. Really? Do i have to buy clothes i can only wear once? Is this what i am paying for? Bad quality!
Understandably one cannot try out underwear when purchasing so we take it in good faith that it is modelled for the average male or female . Not the case, in a pack of 3 for R99 bought from Mr Price Spingfield Park, Durban. The front, it seems, was more likely designed to hold a pair of Almond nuts in place rather than human male packages
sizes
I went to the Johannesburg Eastgate branch as this was one of the bigger stores and assumed it would have a bigger selection and sizes. I was so disappointed to discover that none of the shorts or trousers were larger than a size 38. Even though I had researched the clothing I was interested in on their web site which did not indicate that they don't stock sizes larger than 38. When I enquired from the staff on the floor I was very rudely told that was the largest size they stocked. I was able to purchase shorts and trousers however from Edgars and Ackermans. If they cannot accommodate all sizes why not advertise as such. Then I would not have wasted my time going there and having to go through every single item on the rack as the items sizes are inside the clothing or on the tags inside the clothing and not marked any where else.

I am very unhappy about the service I have received from MRP (Mr Price). On the 30th day of November I ordered 4 items of clothing. I checked out, did an EFT and finalised my order which read pending. An hour later I wanted to add 2 more items, addressed a letter to their support department with my request to add 2 more items to my order. I received no reply and went online where I spoke to an online agent. I was advised to cancel my order and do another, however I am glad I didn't do that as the items I wanted was no longer available in the size I required. This was first of all very bad feedback as how can you advise your customers to cancel an order and then the items are no longer available. Be it as it may, I was advised by the online agent to address another letter which I did. In this letter I suggested that I do another EFT immediately and then this can be added to my current order. The next morning by 10 I still didn't receive feedback so I called the centre. I was put through to someone that told me they can't help me at all. Out of desperation I asked where I could get the other 2 items as it is my daughter's birthday. I was given one store who had it, however I was told now I have to pay full price as it was only on special until 30 November. This is very bad service as nobody told me this. Had I known, I would have made another purchase online to avoid extra costs. The lady assisting me simply told me the online lady who assisted me must deal with my query but she only starts working in the evening upon which she will call me back. Shocking to say the least. I asked for a manager, there is no manager to put me through to, I must speak to the lady who assisted me in the evening. I am frustrated and this will be the last time I purchase from them online, no items and I have to pay full price, is that fair?
no delivery after 3 weeks
I placed an order on the 16 July for an store economy. After 6 days I followed up on the order, non of the online customercare could really track my order. And no one came back to me with feedback and as to when I will receive my item till this yesterday when I received an email that said they will refund me because my order was sent back to the warehouse.
I told them that I don't want to be refunded, I want that jacket i bought - i mean I waited for 3 weeks and still be told that I'm not going to receive my order. This is unacceptable. I've been following up on my order for the past 2 weeks and now they are coming back to tell me this? Why is Mr Price offering economy delivery if they cannot deliver? And they don't have any people skills. This is not the 1st time I experienced this with the economy order. The last time thet refunded me the delivery costs and i received all my orders.
This is by far the most poor service that I ever experience.I want the item I ordered, I cannot wait for delivery for so long and be told that I will get a refund.

Mr Price in Nigel opens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm. All other clothing stores in Nigel close at 17:30. What happens to me and others like me that don't get time during the day to shop for small things we need. I can go to Ackermans, Jet, Pep & Dunns after work / after 5 pm. The only clothing store that's closed even before 5pm hits is Mr Price. I find this frustrating and disappointing.

I enquired about it. and then they forwarded me a gift voucher for the 1 item. Now i tried purchasing something else online with my voucher. I am AGAIN expected to pay another delivery! Yet again mr home home head office fails me. I requested stock items through their online website in August 2014, since then I had to follow up on the progress of my request, then I was told that the store is sourcing the items for me, when I contacted the store they had no clue who I was or what stock I was referring to, After my initial complaint I was made empty promises yet again on 19 September, and since then NOTHING, I was called by Shihir after I had to call the customer care line and was promised my stock was sourced and will be send to the Parkview store, so fool that I am I believe the person, I had to follow up again on Monday 20 October just to receive a email telling me sorry we couldn't source your stock items, then why did you lie to me and misled me that you did find it and that it will be send to the store and that buyers, planners, regional managers and stores are helping you.All the times I followed up and from my initial request all these items was in stock in your stores, I keep calling the customer services line and again treated the same, yesterday I called again to lodge a complaint, Nicole answer and listen to the complaint, then on firm me cell number and promise to call me back in 5min till now no call from Nicole, instead I get a very sarcastic email from Shihir that, he told me that's all the items he could get, so am I taking it or not, no I'm sorry or apologies nothing, just more lies and miss treating clients, is this how Mr P treats their clients.I am so disgusted and disappointed in how I have been treated.

3 applications, 3 different branches still no feedback
I was approached about 2 weeks ago by a store assistant in Mr.Price Vangate Mall to open an Mr.Price account. I was reluctant to open the account as I didn’t have an urgent need for the account, however the store assistant then convince me to open the account. A week later I still didn’t receive any feedback and processed to the N1 city branch and requested feedback 2 my horror the store manager informed me that nothing reflects on their system which indicates that my application was never faxed to be processed. He then requested me to complete a second application and reassured me that my application will take priority and feedback will be received shortly. Another week has passed and guess what still NO feedback, I then approached the Canal Walk branch and yet again I was informed that my application was yet again NOT faxed to be processed. I then tried calling Mr.Price Head OfficeCall centre on 031 number and my call couldnt evens connect. I am totally disgusted with the service as I manage a call centre and this is NO way you treat a potential customer.

Mr price needs a customer service makeover
I brought my husband some clothing @ Mr Price on the 31st of December 2009 as a present on my account. I removed the tags as i knew the pants would fit but did not know that one of the pants was torn. I went back to Mr Price on the 5th of January but did not have the tag or slip! But since it was bought on account that should not be a problem right? WRONG!...
