I subscribed for top up 50 contract in June 2009 and store supplied pay as you go simcard to be taken over to contraact. Since then the simcard is still on prepaid although I get billed for the top up contract every month since signing contract. Been to store more than 20 times since then with no luck. I feel this is a breach of my contract as I did not get any service on this contract for more than 7 months and would like to have this contract cancelled without me having to pay up the rest of the contract.

First of all there are no tariffs for the various packages on the website. MTN used to have all the info. Without it one cannot make an intelligent choice or check if one is being billed correctly.
I’m presuming that the tariffs have not changed. The last two calls I made on 8th May to Telkom numbers have been billed as if they were made to Vodacom. Namely 21% more. This really annoys me as it has happened before in the past. MTN do you think nobody notices? If the structure of your tariffs has changed then I apologise, but as previously stated, I am not able to check from your website.
Using MTN Share & Sell service, I tried to transfered with my MTN Share and Sell Pin and I was told that its a wrong pin, that was about a month ago. Please kindly help me to resolve this problem of Pin.

This morning i phoned them gave them my PIN NO and to my surprise i was told they sent it to the wrong person, blamed the computer for making the wrong entry. Gave them a piece of my mind and the women asked for my cell no, now how can they say to me it was not meant for me when they ask for my number, so i ask to speak to the person in change, when i explain to him about everything he told me i must go back to school and put the phone down on me. This message was sent to me so i want my money and the phone, if i do not receive it i am going to take this matter further, if the company does not respond to my complain i will have this sms put in the newspaper and all over the internet.

On 29 April I wrote an email to request that I would like to cancel my 2 year contract from the end of April 2011. I received no response. 24 April 2011 I sent another email. I ent another email 6 June 2011. I did receive an automated email on that email stating that they received my email. Then another period of silence. I decided to complain on the Hello Peter website, and got a response from MTN stating that someone from Cancellations will contact me. The was a week and a half ago. How long should I still wait. I am so sick and tired of MTN's non-existing service.
SIM BLOCKED
I lost my handset in May last year, and I reported but they didn't get back to me until now. I went to mtn vryheid today and they told me the claim was rejected because the time it was lost I was not using its sim card but the time I opened this contract they said it covers the handset if its lost. Now mtn refused to replace the handset. I took this insurance because I was told that it covers loss, damage, mechanical breakdown handset and also lost card.
I was told by the agent that I will be covered even if I do not have my contract card in the phone that's the only reason I took the handset insurance with 808 to the value of R122.98pm.
now MTN refuse to replace me with a phone and refuse to rebate mefor the insurance since the handset was lost.
