I canceled a flight. According to their "flexible option", you are supposed to get a refund at 90% of the value of the ticket you canceled.
=> Well this is not true.
One month after my cancellation, they finally sent me a voucher.
I then tried to use it, but it never worked. I contacted the chat help service (don't even try the phone option, supposedly located in London, because the number doesn't work), and they were unable to help me.
They said that my problem will be sent to the service in charge of these types of problems.
Two other weeks later, an agent calls me and tells me that if I want the voucher to be accepted, I should connect directly on the Mytrip website (not through a link provided by another platform such a google flights) and that the amount of the flight that I am trying to book should be superior to the value of my voucher. I was happy to know how to use the voucher.
Today, I tried again to book online respecting these conditions. It didn't work. After spending 3 hours, I contacted the help center. On the chat, I received the same explanations:
"-As checked by our previous agent, your code is functional and is working fine. Please make sure that you are both using it on our site, correctly enter the coupon information as well as applying for flights that has a value of over XXX USD."
"-As per your previous request, we had already escalated your concern to our internal department to check and your coupon has been verified to be working as intended."
"-While I am certain as this had been checked previously that your voucher does indeed work we can once again escalate your request to our internal department once again to check and get back to you as we did previously so we can guide you in real time through the booking process."
"-I have checked and your request had already been escalated to our internal team to check and we had verified for you that your voucher is working as normally and there are no issues. If you wish I am escalating your request once again to our internal team to check and get back to you to follow up with looking into the issue currently affecting your voucher."
Then I asked to introduce a complaint and they told me:
"First we will look into the issue with your voucher first, and you can provide any and all complaint directly to our agent if the process is not satisfactory. For the time being, please kindly wait for an update from us reaching out to you by email or by call. Thank you for your understanding.
Please have a wonderful day. It was my pleasure to assist you and I hope to be able to help you again in the future."
Problem not solved. I don't think I will ever be able to use this voucher.
Therefore, I warn the other customers about all these options of "flexible flight" and "refund option", that are supplements which you have to pay for during the booking process, are scams. Avoid them. Or just avoid Mytrip.
Btw Mytrip and GotoGate are the same company.
Desired outcome: I just want to be able to use my voucher. Or give me back the money.
