I own an MXY that I just finished paying off. Last week, after using the bike for 3 days in a row, the tablet stopped connecting to my home wifi. Everything on my end was the same. Same internet provider, same wifi speed and log in, bike is in the same location…..no changes.
I called the support line and worked with them for hours that day and day after. They had me do many things, including calling optimum, checking the speed, checking the router and a few other things.
They told me that other ppl were having this issue also and they would mail me a new V2 tablet.
Great.
It arrived yesterday and before installing it, I emailed them to make sure my current speed sensor (worn on my arm) and wahoo cadence sensor would work with the new tablet (bc if you cannot track those things, the workout is useless)
They told me no. Neither device would work with the new tablet, and I would need to spend over $450 for new parts and a service call to make the speed and cadence part of the bike functional.
They are calling all this an "upgrade" to get around calling it a defect so they do not have to cover it for bikes that are out of warranty.
Since none of these issues are my doing, or my fault, my feeling is that they should make it right, but of course they refuse.
Honestly, the speed of replies and the customer service in general has been awful since day 1.
what a joke...now i see why ppl spend a little more to go with a quality company like peloton.
