Namecheap Namecheap Review: Best Web Hosting for Beginners and Professionals with One Drawback

I'm a journalist and I wanted to take my business online. I asked some webmasters for recommendations and they suggested Namecheap, along with three other companies. They said that Namecheap was the best for beginners, medium-level users, and even professionals who don't want too many complications. One of the other companies was too technical and more expensive, and didn't include domain registration. The last one seemed easy to use, but also didn't include domain registration. So I decided to go with Namecheap because it seemed like the best overall package and the easiest to use.

So far, everything has been smooth and easy to understand, except for one thing: the SSL certificates. Namecheap offers one for free for the first year, but then charges for it. I was a bit disappointed by this, because many other companies include SSL certificates for free with their packages. I ended up relying on Cloudflare for protection, which was a bit of a hassle. If Namecheap could improve this issue, I would give them a top rating.

One thing I do like about Namecheap is their policy on permanent privacy with the domains. This means that my personal information won't be publicly available, which is important to me as a journalist. Overall, I'm happy with my experience with Namecheap so far, and I'm planning to expand my business after a year of testing. Hopefully everything will continue to work smoothly and I'll stick with this company.

Namecheap Exceptional Customer Support from Namecheap's Marta Kir: A Rare Gem in Today's Service Industry

I recently made a purchase on Namecheap and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of support I received from their agent Marta Kir. I had a lot of questions about their domain services and Marta was patient enough to answer all of them for me. We chatted for over two hours, but she never once made me feel like I was wasting her time. Instead, she provided me with sincere and dedicated answers, taking her time to ensure that I fully understood everything.

What I appreciated most about Marta was her honesty. She didn't try to sugarcoat anything or push me into making a purchase. Instead, she provided me with accurate information and let me make my own decision. This is something that I find rare in customer service these days, and it's refreshing to see that Namecheap values their customers enough to hire agents like Marta.

Some people might say that Marta's response time was slow, but I disagree. I think that it's more important to provide accurate answers than to rush through things and give weaker responses. Marta's dedication to her job is what makes her such an asset to Namecheap's support team. I know that if I ever have any technical issues with my project, I can count on her to provide me with the same level of support that she did during our chat.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience on Namecheap and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable domain provider. And to Namecheap, I would like to say that they should keep Marta Kir in their team. She is a true gem and without her, their support team wouldn't be the same.

Namecheap Disappointing Experience with Namecheap: Poor Customer Service and Security

I've been using different domain registrars for a long time now, and I've tried out a lot of them. One of the ones I used to really like was Namecheap. Back in the day, they were one of the best options out there, but lately, they've really gone downhill. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't seem to care about protecting their customers.

I recently tried to register a domain with them for a new website I'm putting together. The site is going to be a resource for content creators who want to learn more about fair use, but Namecheap rejected my registration. I was really disappointed, and it made me realize that I needed to start looking for a new registrar.

But that's not the only problem I've had with Namecheap. They've also refunded my money and unregistered a domain because of a "billing error." The thing is, the money had already been taken out of my account, and I had already set up a website on the domain they refunded. When they took the domain away, I tried to re-register it, but I couldn't. I eventually gave up on it, but now I see that someone else has registered it.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with Namecheap. Their support is terrible, and their security is really lacking. I'm in the process of moving my domains over to a different registrar, and I would definitely recommend that anyone else who is thinking about using Namecheap should look elsewhere. There are plenty of other options out there that are much better.

Namecheap Beware of NAMECHEAP: Supporting Spammers and Ignoring Complaints (#ASV-996-*******)

I received more spam today (#ASV-996-***) from Namecheap's platform! Richard Kirkendall just doesn't seem to understand that spamming is not acceptable. It's not fair for those of us who receive it, like myself. I've already given proof of their activities in two previous reviews: Trustpilot(dot)com/reviews/616d567e234f1b1fe55d3ce1 & www(dot)trustpilot(dot)com/reviews/60ed900ff9f***f870a822

The NAMECHEAP "Abuser" Department has received 61 complaints about the same spam website: exclusivejvlaunches(dot)com (SPAM IP: 198(dot)54(dot)114(dot)161). Yet, NAMECHEAP still allows this spammer to operate. I guess spamming is a profitable business, right, Ricky Kirkendall?

Hey Ricky, how would you like it if your email was constantly spammed with "PEDDLED" GOODS from this spammer?

Folks, I suggest staying away from NAMECHEAP. You wouldn't want to support a company that profits from spammers and their hosting fees. Ricky, you should be ashamed!

Namecheap Namecheap Review: A Dope Web Hosting Option with Room for Improvement

Yo, I gotta say, Namecheap is pretty dope. But there are a few things that could make it even better.

First off, it would be sick if they had a way to compare all their web hosting products side by side. I was trying to decide between Stellar and EasyWP, but it was hard to tell the difference at first. EasyWP doesn't do domain email, so I went with Stellar, but it would have been easier if I could have seen all the deets in one place.

Also, it would be way less of a hassle if they included all the products in the renewal cost. Like, don't make me do extra work to figure out how much I'm gonna have to pay next year. Just tell me upfront, ya know?

And while we're at it, it would be super helpful if they had a chart or something to compare their products to their competitors'. I ended up going with Namecheap because Stellar has way better email storage than Bluehost's basic option, but I almost missed that.

But on the real, their knowledgebase articles are clutch. They helped me out with web hosting, security, and other stuff I didn't know about.

Overall, Namecheap is legit. But if they made these changes, it would be even more lit.

Namecheap Unleashing the Power of Creativity: A Review of 'The War of Art' by Steven Pressfield

Sorry to say a very bad experience. You cannot reach them by phone only chat and email. I ordered a domain though them and they tacked on another domain and charged me for it without my knowledge. When I contacted the and showed the activation email and how it only had one domain instead of two this is how they responded.

"Much to our regret it is not possible to cancel the domain names registration and issue a refund since they were registered more than 72 hours. However, we may offer you the following options:

- try selling the domains on our Marketplace (you can find more information here: https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/38/15/what-is-namecheaps-marketplace)
- push them to another Namecheap user
- simply let them expire.

If none of the options is suitable to you, we can remove the domains from your account as a courtesy. If latter is the case, please confirm the following:

Namecheap will immediately become the registrant of the domain names and you will lose any and all rights to them. You understand the domains may be used, auctioned, renewed, or deleted at any time without your approval or compensation. There is no recovery, renewal or grace period once in this state. You cannot re-register or re-purchase the domains."

Namecheap Namecheap Review: A Reliable and Affordable Hosting Provider with Excellent Customer Service

In my humble opinion, I gotta say that Namecheap is way better than their competitors like Godaddy or Host Gator, Hostinger and even Bluehost. They don't have any hidden costs and they offer plenty of free add ons for your hosting unlike Bluehost where you end up with a cart full of addons and a price that's gone way past what they were offering.

The customer service is excellent and they are always there to help with any problems you might have. I transferred a domain and WordPress to them which they migrated for free and both went without any problems at all. I mean, what more could you ask for?

I don't understand why people give them a bad rap, probably because they haven't got a clue how to navigate their user-friendly dashboard or cPanel so they ask too much, then complain. I've seen things like "they wouldn't give me a refund", which is nonsense, or "my site was down for a few seconds", I mean, come on, get real.

The customer service is great with personal emails even, and the hosting is pretty speedy depending on your package. They also offer plenty of free certs and apps that other hosts make you pay for. So, if you're looking for a reliable hosting provider, Namecheap is definitely worth giving a try.

Don't believe all the negative feedback. They are a great company that are getting better and better every day. I can't add a photo as I don't have one, but take my word for it, they're awesome.

Have a great day, folks!

Namecheap Namecheap's Cancellation Process Needs Improvement - 2 Stars

I gotta say, I didn't have any issues with Namecheap while I was using their services. But when it came time to cancel my subscription, things got a little hairy. I got an email from them saying that my credit card had expired and that my auto-renewals wouldn't go through. I was like, "cool, I don't want to renew anyway." So I checked my account and sure enough, my card had expired. I thought that was the end of it.

But then I got charged anyway. I was pretty ticked off, so I contacted customer service to dispute the charge. They told me that it had been more than 120 hours since they charged my account, so they couldn't refund it. That was on day 6. They said that even though my card had expired, the bank had sent them updated information and they charged my account anyway. What the heck?

If someone from Namecheap is reading this, you really need to fix this process. The email they sent me clearly said that they couldn't renew my account. There was no indication that they could still charge my account anyway. And when I talked to customer service, they sent me a link to an article on their website that explained this. Why wasn't that link included in the email? How was I supposed to know to look for it before I had a problem?

I'm giving them 2 stars because the customer service people were nice (or at least seemed to be) and I know this is partly a bank issue. But if it were up to me, they'd only get 1 star. I'm going to talk to my bank tomorrow (Monday) and see if they can help me out.

Namecheap Namecheap: The Absolute Worst for Online Purchases - A Nightmare Experience

I gotta say, I've been around the block a few times when it comes to buying stuff online, and let me tell you, Namecheap is the absolute worst. I mean, I don't even know where to start. Okay, so I bought a domain name from them on 9-25-22, right? And they sent me a confirmation email and everything, so I figured everything was cool. But then the next day, I get an email saying they cancelled my order and refunded my money. No explanation, no nothing. So I'm like, okay, whatever, I'll just go buy my domain name somewhere else. But then I find out that Namecheap is still holding onto my domain name! What the heck, man?

So I call up their customer service, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. First of all, I could barely understand the person on the other end of the line because of their thick Eastern European accent. And then when I tried to explain the situation, they just kept telling me I needed to "verify" my order. But how can I verify an order that they cancelled and refunded? It made no sense. I tried to explain this to them, but they just kept repeating the same thing over and over again.

After two weeks of going back and forth with these people, I finally realized that they just weren't going to budge. They were holding my domain name hostage, and there was nothing I could do about it. They even told me that they were going to keep it for the full two years that I had originally ordered it for! I mean, come on, that's just ridiculous. I tried to explain to them about intellectual property and all that, but they just didn't seem to get it.

In the end, I had to go to my credit card company and get them involved. I had to show Namecheap the proof that I had actually paid for the domain name, and even then, they made me pay for it again before they would release it to me. It was a total nightmare, and I would never, ever recommend doing business with these people. Their customer service is a joke, and they clearly have no idea what they're doing. I can't wait for the two years to be up so I can take my domain name away from them and never look back.

First off, your website is super easy to use. I was able to find the perfect domain name for my business without any trouble at all. And the search function is top-notch - it helped me find a domain that perfectly matched my brand.

I could reach out to them via live chat, email, or phone, and they always responded quickly and with helpful advice.

And let's talk about pricing. I love that you guys are transparent about your fees and don't try to upsell me on stuff I don't need. Your prices are totally fair and competitive, and I feel like I'm getting a great value for the service I'm receiving.

Overall, I'm super impressed with Namecheap and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and customer-focused domain registrar. Thanks for being awesome!

Namecheap Namecheap's Sneaky Renewal Options and Dishonest Practices

I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled with Namecheap. They got this sneaky little "automatically renew" option that just screams "dark UI pattern" to me. Like, come on, guys, I thought we were better than that. And then they go and throw in this checkbox that says it'll automatically renew all my eligible new services, which turns on PremiumDNS (whatever that is) without even asking me if I want it. That's just plain dishonest.

And don't even get me started on the "Renewal Settings" page. They got this big ol' button that says "Automatically renew all of my new services" without even telling you what those services are. Like, seriously? You're just gonna leave me in the dark like that? I'm guessing they do it on purpose, so if they charge me for something I didn't expect, they can just point to that button and say "it says *allservices".

I mean, I'm only spending $10 to test out their service, but if this is how they're gonna treat me, I don't think I'll be bringing my other 100+ domains over here. They gotta clean up their act if they want to keep customers like me.

Namecheap Namecheap: A Total Scam! Don't Waste Your Time or Money on This Garbage Website

Namecheap is a website that sells domains, but let me tell you, it's a total scam! I recently bought a really cool domain from them and paid extra money for it. I was so excited to start using it, but then I waited for 14 whole days and nothing happened. I kept asking them what was going on, and they kept telling me that everything was fine and that the transfer was in progress. But then, just yesterday, they told me that the domain wasn't available anymore because the third-party suddenly didn't own it anymore! What a joke! I don't know if the seller changed their mind or if Namecheap just lied to me, but either way, it's not cool.

I tried to complain to Namecheap since I bought the domain from them, but they didn't care at all. They didn't even apologize or offer me any kind of compensation. It's like they don't even care about their customers! This company is absolute trash, and I'm never going to use it again. I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through, so I'm telling you to stay far away from Namecheap. They have a ton of domains that they say are "available," but I bet a lot of them are just fake. Don't waste your time or your sanity on this garbage website!

Namecheap Namecheap's Support of Fraudulent Activity Raises Concerns: A Cautionary Review

I recently had an experience with Namecheap that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had to contact them to complain about a client of theirs, AvalonPhoneFix.Ca, who was using my toll-free telephone number on their website without my permission. The website was being hosted on Namecheap's servers, so I reached out to them for help.

At first, the Namecheap representative I spoke with admitted that they were indeed hosting AvalonPhoneFix.Ca's website. However, when I followed up with their Abuse Department, they tried to deny any involvement. I had to provide proof that the fraudulent website was, in fact, being hosted on Namecheap's servers.

Even after I provided an invoice proving my ownership of the toll-free number, the Namecheap Abuse Department (specifically, Alexander Pe, Shift Leader) ignored it. This left me feeling frustrated and concerned. If Namecheap is willing to support fraudulent activity, what else might they be willing to do?

As a concerned property owner, I believe it's important to hold companies like Namecheap accountable for their actions. While I appreciate that mistakes can happen, it's important that companies take responsibility for their mistakes and work to make things right. Unfortunately, my experience with Namecheap left me feeling like they were more interested in protecting themselves than in helping me resolve the issue.

Overall, I would caution anyone considering using Namecheap's services to be aware of the potential risks involved. While they may offer affordable hosting options, their willingness to support fraudulent activity raises serious concerns about their business practices.

Namecheap Frustrating Experience with Namecheap's Domain Transfer Process

I had a bit of a frustrating experience with Namecheap when I was trying to transfer some domains. I accidentally entered the wrong credit card number for payment, but the system didn't catch it and I ended up spending an hour on live chat trying to figure out what was going on. Even after all that, I still couldn't get the transfer to go through and ended up giving up and looking for another registrar.

It wasn't until twelve hours later that I decided to give Namecheap one more chance and discovered my mistake. I had been entering the wrong credit card number all along! It would have been really helpful if the system had told me that my payment was declined or that my credit card number was invalid, instead of just hanging at "payment processing" with the progress wheel spinning.

Overall, it was a total waste of several hours of my time and left me feeling pretty frustrated. I think Namecheap should give me a 50% credit for the inconvenience, and maybe then I'll consider referring others to them.

Namecheap Namecheap: Great Deals, Confusing Site - A Review

The deals on Namecheap are pretty sweet, no complaints there! But the site itself can be a bit confusing, ya know? Like, do I go to Shared Hosting via the Hosting link, or via the WordPress link? It takes me to two different pages, each offering slightly different information about what I assume is the same product. And then there's the whole SSL certificate thing - am I getting a free one or not? 'Cause if I am, why am I being offered the option to purchase one at checkout? If it's for year 2, saying so would be nice. Just sayin'.

Anyway, I ended up spending a lot of time double-checking things before finishing the checkout process, just to try and understand what I was actually getting. It was a bit of a hassle, but I'm on a fixed income and needed a bargain, so I stuck with it. If I had more money to spare, I might have gone elsewhere. But I'm glad I kept going, and I'm sure the product will be excellent.

Overall, Namecheap has some great deals, but the process of actually buying something can be a bit of a headache. If they could streamline things a bit and make it clearer what you're actually getting, that would be awesome. But hey, at least the prices are good!

Namecheap Namecheap Review: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Responsibility

So, I gotta say, my experience with Namecheap was not the best. I had an account manager running my website, but they went ahead and bought a new domain without my permission. I reached out to Namecheap to fix the issue, but they kept telling me it was impossible. I mean, come on, how hard can it be to add a password feature at checkout to prevent third-party managers from making purchases? But no, they just kept blaming me and throwing their terms and conditions in my face. It took them over a month to even acknowledge my problem, and they refused to talk to me on the phone. I had to resort to emails and texts, which dragged the whole thing out for almost two months.

I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how a company handles those mistakes that really matters. And in this case, Namecheap dropped the ball. They could have easily fixed the issue and prevented it from happening again, but instead, they chose to make it my problem. It's frustrating when a company doesn't take responsibility for their actions and instead chooses to blame the customer.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Namecheap. Their customer service is lacking, and their policies make it difficult to get anything done quickly. If you're looking for a reliable web hosting service, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Namecheap Namecheap Review: Great for Tech-Savvy Users, Frustrating for Older Generations

Namecheap is a great website for those who are tech-savvy. However, as a 71-year-old, I found it to be quite frustrating. Despite being fairly knowledgeable about technology for my age, I struggled for months to create a domain for my new business. Every time I tried, the website kept telling me that something in my information was invalid. It was either my credit card, my daughter's information, or even my email address. I double and triple-checked everything, but it still wouldn't let me continue.

Finally, I managed to complete the process using PayPal. However, there was no button indicating that the transaction was complete. I tried clicking on "enter" and "click here," but nothing worked. I was about to give up when I decided to click on everything on the page. To my surprise, I found that I needed to click on the PayPal icon to complete the transaction. Who knew? There was nothing on the page to indicate that this was what I was supposed to do.

My suggestion to Namecheap is to have someone over the age of fifty or sixty edit their website. This generation probably has a better understanding of what Baby Boomers need to navigate the site. Overall, Namecheap is a great website for those who are tech-savvy, but it can be quite frustrating for those who are not.

Namecheap Namecheap.com's Customer Service is a Disappointment: My Experience

Let me tell you about my experience with Namecheap.com. I was looking for a reliable website to purchase an address for my company's website. After doing some research, I decided to go with Namecheap.com. I was impressed with their website and their prices seemed reasonable.

I went ahead and made the purchase using my company credit card. The money was charged and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, almost a week later, I received an email from Namecheap.com stating that they had suspended the transaction and were demanding my personal information such as my SSN and DoB.

I was shocked and confused. Why would they need my personal information for a company purchase made on a company credit card? I tried to contact them multiple times but only received form emails in response.

To make matters worse, our IT team had scheduled to migrate the already purchased and paid for website over the holiday weekend. We had people waiting for the site to be released but because of Namecheap.com's suspension, we were unable to do so.

I am extremely disappointed with Namecheap.com's customer service. Richard Kirkendall claims they have "Rockstar customer service" but my experience has been far from that. I spent over $2,700 on their website and this is how they treat their customers?

I would not recommend Namecheap.com to anyone. Their lack of communication and unreasonable demands for personal information have caused a lot of frustration and inconvenience for my company.

Namecheap Namecheap Review: Terrible Customer Service and Unauthorized Charges

I gotta say, Namecheap is not the best place to trust with your credit card info. Their customer service is terrible and they'll always try to sell you stuff you don't need. I mean, come on, who wants to pay for something they can get for free?

And let me tell you, they'll charge your card without your permission. I've been a customer for over 5 years and they charged me $100 CAD for a domain renewal that I didn't even want. I tried to remove it from my account, but they still charged me. And when I contacted their support, they said it was out of their grace period. What a load of crap! Now they want to charge me $200 USD just to dispute it. That's insane!

I'm done with them. They don't care about their customers and they're just a bunch of frauds. I'm taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same. Don't waste your time or money with Namecheap.

Namecheap Namecheap Review: Great Prices, but a Frustrating Purchase Process

I gotta say, my experience with Namecheap wasn't the smoothest. It took me a whopping hour to complete my purchase, and that's not even the worst part. I tried to save some alternate addresses for my domain registration, but every time I did, I got redirected to a bot checker page that made me verify my humanity. I mean, come on, I'm a human being, not a robot!

After finally completing the purchase, I realized that all my previous changes had been reset, and I had to start all over again. It felt like the site was trying to force me to register with my main address, and that's just not cool. I started the process on my phone, but the bot checker was giving me an endless stream of questions, so I had to switch to my laptop.

But guess what? The same thing happened on my laptop, and I had to spend another 30 minutes just to make the purchase. And even then, I had to settle for one overall address for all the domains I purchased, instead of being able to make individual changes per domain. I mean, seriously, this should have been a simple 10-minute process at most, but it took me almost 1.5 hours!

On the bright side, the prices are great, but that's not enough to make up for the hassle. Namecheap, please improve your process. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this issue. Thank you.

They just suspended our custom domains without any warning simply because some monkey from a competition site filed a complaint

Then they have the nerve to extort monies from us by asking to register with an association which has no governing body in Canada.

Namecheap.com CEO Richard Kirkendall does not even care and made no effort to resolve our complaints

Namecheap Spam fraudulent activities and refusal to deal with complaints

Name cheap refuse to stop fraudulent activity which is continually being sent to me despite numerous complaints they have taken no action.

I have sent them over 1 hundred email sites which they support and some repeatedly send scam emails,

It is my belief that Namecheap are part of these scams.

Namecheap must be passing my details on to these companies who operate these scams and spam as I have never contacted any of these sites

Desired outcome: Namecheap should be investigated and my details removed from their system

Namecheap Emails scam

I have contacted namecheap to investigate a domain registered with a similar name of our domain and hacked our systems and communicated with our clients for the last 10 days and nobody is answering my emails from their abuse department. This company is allowing scammers to create domains and steel money from other companies. It seems they don't care and they are allowing hackers to take advantage and destroy other business... what a shame for the Internet industry.

Namecheap Namechap, which slows down the Domain Transfer process, what is your purpose? Passing my domain to yourself?

I received a transfer code on the day that my domain named sanaltur.pro will expire. I started the process of moving to guzel.net.tr where I have other existing domains and my server. I paid the transfer fee, days passed and the transfer process is still pending. My site is down, my customers are in trouble. I emailed Namechap company many times and they don't even respond once. I've been waiting since 06.01.2022 5 days have passed.

Namecheap service

Had the worst experience with namecheap ever. They double charged for 6 different expensive domains and wouldn't pay me back. I finally got a lawyer and got my money back, but after almost 10 months of hassle! Since then, i've strictly stuck to https://www.101domain.com/

The incident began in august, 2018 and just ended in june 2019.

Truthfully, I feel as if all my domains that I have with them should be given to me for at least 5 years for the hassle and horrible customer service they've given me.

Namecheap rip off

A very disappointing experience I had with them.
I needed a domain, saw their ad and decided to order one.
Unfortunately, that was the only decision made by me, the other steps were made by them. I don't know why but they chose a different style domain for me and without asking my opinion just charged me for it. I never said YES. What kind of service is that? They just stole my money. I guess, even if they refund, it will take 30-45 business days. As usual.
