Flooring order was submitted incorrectly by salesman
I had flooring installed on April 29, 2022. I could not stay for the installation as I was had to go work, as I work for the CEO and had to assist with a business issue. My husband was there when the installers arrived and he facetimed me to show me the flooring.
The installer pulled out the flooring to show me for the kitchen and laundry room first, I told them that was the wrong color as I was expecting a beige color as depicted in the picture attached, but the floor color they showed me was gray. After going back and forth, I called the installer line and that gentlemen, told me that the floor color was correct and that it was what I ordered. I replied that the color should be beige, as my kitchen is cherry color, countertops beige. The installation supervisor got a little heated and said this is what I ordered; he had a copy of the sample on his wall; it was gray. He said he would have the installers pull out another box to see if the color was different and call back. They pulled out,” grayer”. Frustrated, my husband talked to them and said that the floor color was incorrect. The gentleman said, “this is what is on our contract and we had to honor the contract.” As I was not at home to see the flooring and working out an issue for my CEO, I gave in, not thinking about the installation of the second flooring in the foyer. My priority was always the kitchen floor.
When I arrived home and saw all of the floorings, I realized that the order was placed incorrectly. The floor in the foyer was for the kitchen as it was very close to the previous floor. I was so locked into the gray coloring in the kitchen that I never thought about the foyer flooring to have them compared. I immediately sent an email and then followed up with a phone call to customer service to see if we could fix the issue. When I called customer service the lady on the line was seemed very sympathatic and told me that she would help. I sent her the email that I sent the night before and she said she would have a manager call me as this could be remedied. Three days past and I did not receive a call. I called customer service again and asked for the young lady I spoke to earlier, she was off. The man I spoke to looked up my file and said that since I was not at my home and my husband accepted the flooring, there was nothing they could do. I said your salesman ordered the floor incorrectly and I did call and tell them something was wrong. Under the contract I had to be there, nothing they could do.
Desired outcome: I have no choice but to comeback to National Floors to have the kitchen and foyer floors changed as I cannot move forward with my renovations. They ordered the flooring wrong and would not help me remedy the situation.
Quote changed and did not meet the homeowners specks
I saw the advertisements on TV. I called the number, and they scheduled an appt. with their salesperson. Their salesperson claimed to have many years' experiences with his own business and with National Floors Direct. When the salesperson Robert Burns came to our condo the first thing, I told him is that there a condo specification package that is required. He looked at the specifications and said here is a quote after we picked out the flooring we liked. He said they met the specifications. We were told that if we waived the three-day cancellation date, we could probably get the installation quicker. We waived the three-day cancellation date. The salesperson then sent the specifications for the homeowner's association to his main company office for national floors direct. I gave them a deposit in the amount of $2400. When the company looked at the specks and saw they did not meet the HOA requirements I was requoted another $3000.00 plus on top of our original quote. I then wanted to cancel and get our deposit back. The company said it was the specks that caused the price increase. I gave the professional salesperson the specks when he walked into our condo. I am not the flooring professional Robert Burns their rep is.
Desired outcome: Please refund our deposit ASAP
NFD has been ripping off customers for years. They sent two different tiles that didn’t match. We denied delivery. Been fighting since Nov 2021. They profit off of customers deposits. Our deposit is 5000.00
We have small claims court Aug 1 st. If you want to know more?

I had the worst experience trying to get assistance from Customer Service - they are terrorists as they say Corporate/Management won's speak to Customers.
After my rugs were removed and the new floor installed - my apartment was left looking like a construction site/war zone and it was only when a thorough cleaning was done - that you could see the scratches from saw the workers used, etc. and they would not fix these scratches. The workers from World Floors LLC are careless and dishonest - when they came to my apt - Ernesto offered to fix the panels for additional $500 cash when he came back after keeping me waiting 2 hours - saying he was outside talking to his manager - and he was NOT here when I checked! He came back with my case of board I had to purchase at $337+ when the EXACT same case, same producer (SHAW) costs $94/case at Flooringinc.com. And on top of everything Customer Service is a team of badgering terrorists. There is so much disgust and mistreatment and poor workmanship here - I could go on and on and on! Just the fact that Management and Corporate does not speak to Customers I feel reveals tons - the people responsible for their plush lifestyle are not worth their time - there is NO satisfaction if your install goes array - BEWARE OF THE GOOD REVIEWS - They are probably done by people who want some kind of money back and justice - and the only way to get it - is with Positive Reviews at $25/each. What kind of company MUST pay people to do Positive Reviews?
I wish I did my homework - hopefully this review is part of your homework and you will find a reputable company to do your work!
Desired outcome: Getting the word out to consumers - so others don't make the same mistake that I did - and suffer the ABUSE I suffered. Also - I would like a refund for the additional flooring ($337) that I was FORCED TO PURCHASE
Carpeting
I contracted with them for master bedroom carpeting, the salesman was a quick scam artist. I was told by him that he would put in upgraded padding, and include my closet's. Then he goes to his I pad and spend's 15 minutes working on the order. I am 73 years old and trusted him. Then he Emails the paper work. It is 15 pages long, and impossible to decipher. When installation came they insisted on a certified check, now I know why. The carpet padding is not what was promised, the closet's were not included. My salesman will not answer his phone. There customer service department was very nasty, and said they stand by their contract. Now they want $600.00 for 2 small closets. They cannot give me a price per square foot they go by room size. On TV they advertise a whole room for $399.00. I am willing to pay extra if I have to but at a fair price.
incorrect order
I ordered new hardwood flooring for my dining room and living room at the end of August 2021. I stressed that I wanted the floors to blend with my kitchen floor. The representative and I picked out a floor that was as close as possible to my kitchen floor. The rep wrote the floor names and also enforced they should both be golden. The floors arrived and they were not the color I asked for but a dark brown. I have a picture to show the difference. I would have been forgiving but the customer service person was very forceful saying either they install the floor or I will lose my deposit because I signed the purchase order. I explained that it was not the floor I ordered many, so why would I want it. The installers finally left and I have continuously tried to solve the problem through phone calls and emails but they still have my deposit. In December I sent a copy of the picture of the floor that had been incorrectly shipped and requested a picture sent with the flooring they said I ordered. One was the correct flooring but the other was gray, neither of which came to my house on delivery day. I know that people make mistakes and if they worked with me on the problem I would have been understanding. They need to prioritize the customers order and satisfaction. I would not recommend this company to anyone, unless you don't care what type of flooring is delivered.
Desired outcome: I would like my deposit returned.
What was the outcome?

Carpet installation
I Signed the contract to install my carpet with National Floors Direct for almost THREE months. The day of the installation they came with limited amount of material. Long story short, the installer did his best with what ever material he had and butchered my carpet! I wrote the company an email stating my dissatisfaction etc. They came back another day to correct the job (which I had to miss another day from work without pay)! I'm not happy with the job done! No one from the company called me after the installation to make sure all was well! Crappy job! Crappy service! Just Crappy everything!
Carpet - wrong carpet sent
BUYER BEWARE Don't purchase anything from this company. They are a bunch of scam artists from their representatives to the managers running the place. They have numerous complaints at the Better Business Bureaus and AG’s office and class action lawsuits in place.
Around the end of April 2022 a representative from National Floors Direct, Rob Rao came to our home to provide us with a consultation for the purchase of a new carpet for the basement. He measured it at 81 yds which was 25% more than the other company sized (67 yds) that we only came to know after the deal with NFD fell through. They try to cheat you every single step. Please keep reading. I and my wife picked 0501 Dove Tail color in heavier face weight (45 oz/yd2) because we outrightly didn’t like the lighter face weight carpet and specifically selected the heavier one. We signed the paperwork and they made us sign the cancellation waiver because ours is a special order (they don’t keep it in stock and order with the carpet company). I found it out later reading on BBB and different complaint sites that they do it for all their orders. The salesman asked for 25% of the amount in check right there for the order to be placed. We obliged hoping for good service and a great carpet in the house. The fun began right after that when within a few days when our contractor asked for an extra week to wrap up the basement work which meant we needed to reschedule the carpet installation. The rep on the phone had no phone etiquette and immediately told us that we have to pay $150 to reschedule the installation - which was still more than 72 hours out. But after a little bit of hackling with her, she agreed to do it but warned us that we’ll be charged next time we try to reschedule, or the company won’t send the installers and asked us to read the contract. In fact, while on the call with her she almost scared us with contract terms multiple times like it was a death sentence. We were shocked by this kind of behavior and company policy which the salesman never touch upon. We started to feel stuck with the company. Anyway, to be on the safer side we moved the installation out by 2+ weeks to make sure we don’t have to reschedule with NFD again because of any other delays from the contractor. Finally, the installation day came and it was a shocker when the installed showed up with the wrong carpet - the lighter face weight carpet. We immediately rejected the installation of this material, which did not comply with our agreement or the contract. We immediately contacted the company to inform them they did not provide their installers with the correct carpet. The company stated they complied with the contract. Nowhere in the contract does it state the carpet would be of certain face weight - and they kept saying this is the carpet we picked. We called our salesman too to see if he can look into this and help us. He almost agreed that this happens sometimes but asked us to wait and let him talk to his manager. He called back and took a full u-turn on his earlier statement. He said that the company sent the correct carpet and this is the one we ordered. We asked him how can he confirm that without even looking at the carpet the installers brought here. He said the name of the carpet is the same, but the sticker on the carpet was printed by the NFD as the carpet came from their warehouse and not directly picked from the carpet company as the installer mentioned to us. I politely asked Rob if he can bring the samples to us or if we can meet him at the place of his choice to confirm what we picked vs. what the company sent (by then we had asked for a piece of the carpet from the installers). But he didn’t agree to that and said that is against the company’s policy, and hung up on me. I was flabbergasted and refused the installation of sub-standard carpet and did not allow them to cheat us. The rep called after a few minutes and she started scaring us with the repercussions of refusing the installation as that would incur a heavy penalty to restock, and that we have to pay the full balance + penalty by check before the installation can even be rescheduled. She kept talking about the contract and its terms multiple times. It was the worst ever customer service experience for us. We politely asked installers to leave and we told them that we feel cheated and that we’ll take it to the court. Once they figured out that we won’t accept this carpet then they started telling us about same horrible stories from this company - they said this happens a lot and most of the clients agree to install the sub-standard stuff because they don’t want to get into legal and collection stuff. And they get away with this because they don’t leave the selected sample with the clients. We knew all along that they were cheating us and that kind of made me strong to take the fight back to them. Please don’t go by millions of positive reviews for them as the customers are paid ($25) for each post on 4 different review sites - please research this by yourself. All reviews have this disclaimer. Also, the reviews don’t go directly on the sites but have to be approved by their marketing or communications department to make sure it doesn’t have anything but good things about the company. Anyway, the next day we got a call from the company and they made us talk to a manager who confirmed at his own convenience that the installer had the correct carpet – and we were like if you are so sure, why would you be so afraid to show us the sample that we picked, but he didn’t listen to any of that and kept talking about the contract and what we signed on.
The biggest red flags with working with this company are that (1) they don’t leave samples of your final selection, (2) they make you write a check for a hefty down payment, (3) they engage in deceptive marketing practices, and high-pressure sales tactics by which they entice you to purchase "rush installation" of new flooring, even going so far as to have us execute a waiver of our right to cancel the contract, (4) manipulate into signing an adhesion contract on a small electronic tablet, directing us to copy, by hand, the text of a pre-drafted document waiving a 3-day cancellation in exchange for quicker installation.
Please beware of their practices and stay away from them!
I demanded a full refund of my money but to date, the company has stated they are not refunding any amount, and even charged us a restocking fee, and started a collection against us. This is outrageous! We want a full refund. I have already put in the complaint in the Attorney General’s office and we are trying to reach out to a Boston area news channel to cover our story and help us get a refund and bring these scam artists to task.
Desired outcome: I demand a full refund
Is there a class action suit? I need help!
We contacted news companies, AG, BBB, consumers. All since Nov 2021. They are a rip off company.
They profit off of your deposit. We were sent the wrong tile. Once you don’t except delivery they are your worst nightmare. Now finally small claims Aug 1. I also have a YouTube video I made explains our issue. They do more damage than good. If you like to contact me tfowles928@yahoo.com I’m here!
Poor customer service/ Cancellation Policy not honored
I answered a call coming up as Spam on my cell phone. It was national floors direct reminding me of an installation. I told them the date needed to switched as I am not ready yet to proceed and immediately the rep cut me off and said I was talking over her and proceeded to reprimanded me (while I was on the phone at work). She then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. I called back and spoke to another representative who advised I have 2 weeks from installation to change the date, I explained we are over 2 weeks from the date so lets change the date together. She then replied ok we can change it once you pay your balance in full or you can finance and get charged a $250 fee for financing plus any other add on fees. Now I am staring at the phone you want to offer me an option to finance but charge me additional fees? I then asked if I could just cancel for now until the date is finalized and she said ok but we will keep your deposit, charge you a 30% restocking fee of your price (this is with the amount I put down not the balance), contractor fees and other fees. I asked for a coy of my contract to be sent over so I can see these policies and to forward the finance application so I can decide if that was the path I should take. She then said No I will only send you the contract now. I don't want to send you the finance contract. And hung up on me. This is now the second rude person I spoke to. What an unbelievably unprofessional company. Also avoid MIke P who also said I would have no issue switching the date. I will seek legal advice since I am unable to speak to a manager at this company or come to a resolve.
Desired outcome: Deposit Refund or at a minimum switch my date of installation however at this point with such a rude staff I would prefer a refund and to not even deal with this company.
Installation
I was supposed to have carpeting installed on May 19,2022. I was told by the sales person they would call me the night before to tell me the time frame. They never did. I called the morning of the 19th and was told the y sent me an email at 1am in the morning. Having checked my email at 6am, I assured them this did not happen. I was then told that they would be there between 7:30 and noon. It was 8:00 and I was at a chiropractor appointment. I got home around nine and waited. I called at noon and they said one more hour. I called an hour and a half later and as I was on another interminable hold the guys showed up. The first thing they did was look at the staircase to be done and then asked me for the balance. The salesman never told me this. I said I wasn’t paying up front because if there was damage to my walls there would be no recourse. Then I lost it and started yelling that I was taking pictures of every inch before they could start. They left because I yelled. I called and the manager made everything my fault, talked over me as the other customer service people had done and told me that the 4 hr window was an estimate for time but I should plan on being home from 8am to 5pm. This is so not how it should happen. Like other companies they should call you when they are on their way. Bring trapped all day is ridiculous and a waste of time. I had no choice but to reschedule. I think the company has terrible customer service when you do finally get them. And after 7 hrs of waiting with no contact other than what I initiated should expect some aggravation. Also the sales person. Should be clear that you pay before the job is complete. I would never have signed had i known
Desired outcome: I’d like to get my money back and go with Luna. Never had problems with them
Tile ceramic floors
NFD came to install the floors I. My house and I paid them $26.000,00. On January 10, 2022 the started the job and it took them more than 3 weeks to finish.
About two weeks later the grout throughout the house started popping out, by one of the walls in the master bathroom the molding was coming out. We started to trip on the uneven tiles. As the grouting was coming out the tiles kept sinking.
The installers did not do a good job. They are not professionals as I was told the day the salesman sold me their product.
The tiles in my laundry room are moving and it makes a loud moving and shifting noice underneath the washer and dryer
I called the company numerous times and they say they will fix it.
NFD have sent two different companies to evaluate the situation and they told me they will send a company to fix once and for all
They scheduled me for May 19, 2022 to come and do what needs to be done by they never showed up. When I called the customer service representative that took my call was rude and she told me they will come before the day is over, they never did.
Don’t want to loose they money, I saved little by little to have the money for this what I thought it was going to be a nice upgrade to my house and it has been nothing but a big nightmare
Desired outcome: I need the money back so I can have a reputable tile installation company come do the job and be able to enjoy the fruits of our savings
water resistant Flooring install gone bad with in a month
I ordered water resistant flooring thru national floors direct and they installed it on March 5th 2022, with in a month the floors started buldging and sinking in I asked them for a fix or replacement the floor coz its of no use I cant walk on it. They gave me few excuses about the moisture in the room I said its a laundry room what u expect? thats why i ordered water resistant flooring. National floors is asking for more money to repalce the floor saying thats in the contract that they will provide only labor and materials should be purchased by the customer. I reported them to county office but no response from them yet. If any one is filing for a class action suit include me too. my email is ajay.[protected]@yahoo.com.

Deceiving, lying, and taking money. This is a criminal act!
What a horrible company with terrible customer service! I spoke with people named Kim and Alexia. They both were very rude and treated me, their customer, so badly. Alexia would not stop talking and when I tried to talk, she interrupted me so many times. She raised her voice to the point she almost yelled and screamed on the other line. Yesterday and today, I went through so much emotional turmoil and stress with this company. Both Kim and Alexia stressed me out so much and they didn't even try to listen. On 4/27/22, a salesperson, Mike came over to my house. After the measurement, he gave me the estimated cost. Of course, it was way too high. I said, I am not going to do the floor with that price. He said, "Wait, wait, wait. Watch what I can do for you" and he called "Regional Manager" three different times to bring down the price. I told Mike that my daughter is getting married in June and I need to get her room ready before that. He said that since I am in a "rush", if I waive the 3-day cancellation, he guarantees that we'll get the new flooring done within a week, I told him that I am only here on Wednesday and Thursday, so I preferred the installation on 5/4/22. He said he will have to check with his manager to see if the five-day window will work or not. So, he called the Regional Manager to check and verify about the materials we need. The Manager approved because the particular product that I want is in stock and there shouldn't be any problem with installing on the 4th.
Well, just two days before the installation date, I received a phone call from Kim. She said that the flooring material that I wanted failed an inspection. Kim gave me the next installation date, which was June 7, 2022. I told Kim that there is no way. My daughter is getting married, and I will have to get her room ready before that. I also told her that the only reason I signed the contract was because Mike promised installation by 5/4, not 6/7 or 7/3! Kim told me that I signed the contract, and they are bound by the contract. I tried to explain that she is moving in with her husband and her furniture. There is no way for me to hire movers to move her stuff to storage, and after the floor installation, I will have to hire movers again to move everything from storage to her room, which is the 3rd floor attic. Her room is about 850sq with a walk-in closet. Kim said there is nothing she can do. I signed the contract, and on that contract, the completion date was written as 7/3/22.
I said, "What?" Mike was very nice salesperson, but he tricked me to sign the form without any thorough explanation. There was no print-out contract/agreement that I could read before I sign. He only brought a small tablet and he wanted me to "tap to sign" - literally he pointed me to tap here and tap there and that's exactly what I did as I was told. Mike never given me an opportunity to review the contract. I just did what he asked me to do. While I tapped the table screen, he said he will email me a copy for me to review. If Mike mentioned anything about possibility of getting delayed beyond 5/4 or 5/9, I would not have gone with this company because I just could not take any chances due to my daughter's wedding.
Our friends and family members from other States will visit us to attend the wedding starting the last week of May. We are already stressed out with wedding plans and arrangements, but this company is expecting us to act normal and be normal?
Last night, I was curious if there is any complaint against this company or not. I was shocked! The National Floors Direct used the same tactic "your product failed an inspection..." and took people's deposit and trapped them.
Today, 5/4/22, Alexia called, and she and I spoke about an hour. She was even worse than Kim. She kept refer back to the signed contract. She said that she is legally bound by the contract, and she cannot issue me a refund. I told her about her company's false advertisement. They advertise that the majority floors can be installed next day, which is false advertisement. Also, enticing customers to sign the waiver by guaranteeing installation within a week is another huge false advertisement. Mike is her employee so either she needs to provide better training to her employees or train salespersons to tell customers the truth!
Again, if Mike mentioned anything about possibility of getting delayed to June or July, I would never sign that form! This proves their clear intention to hide truth from customers and trap/force customers to install their products.
Alexia raised her voice and interrupted me so many times to a point that I just want to cry. She yelled at me and said, "It is your responsibility to review the contract before you sign!" I paused little bit to breathe. I said, "Mike had a small tablet. He literally pointed lines and told me to tap. He never asked me if I want to review." At this time, Alexia was screaming on the other line and did not let me finish. She said, "You signed the contract, and it is your responsibility to review, not the sales rep."
They refused to return my deposit back. She threatened me that the installation date is now 6/7/22 and if I do not let them do the work then my deposit will be forfeited and I will have to pay 30% of restocking fee, contract fee, and other fees.
She was extremely rude. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I called my bank right away. I found out that this company cashed my check on 4/28, a day after Mike, the sales rep came to visit our house. They supposed to hold the deposit, but they were in hurry to deposit down payments before customers change their minds.
Oh, and one more thing. Alexia said that if I do not have the remaining balance of $6,000 either cash or bank check before the installers install the floors. If I do not pay them first, they will not start. I said, "How can I trust you or them that they will produce a good work when they receive the payment first?" Usually, we pay the balance AFTER work is done." She yelled again, "That's it. I am done talking to you. We are not getting anywhere. I am going to send you a copy of your contract. You need to review it and make sure you understand. After you are done with reviewing your contract, you can call me." Then she hung up.
Terrible!
It is not right for them to call me just two days before the installation day to tell me something went wrong with materials and that the products failed an inspection.
Mike made me to sign the waiver since we were in rush, and now, the customer service managers dropped bombshells that the new installation date is 6/7, but I have a feeling that it is not going to happen on 6/7.
I have never expected anything like this would happen. Please refund my deposit.
Desired outcome: Please refund my entire down payment! This is nothing but scam. Please refund my down payment.
Scam, fraud, con artist

I said, "How can I trust you or them that they will produce a good work when they receive the payment first?" Usually, we pay the balance AFTER work is done."She yelled again,"That's it.
Mike made me to sign the waiver since we were in rush, and now, the customer service managers dropped bombshells that the installation cannot be done by 6/7, but I have a feeling that it is not going to happen on 6/7.
I have never expected anything like this would happen. Please refund my deposit.
Desired outcome: Please refund my full deposit amount of $2,679.00. Thank you.
I am very happy with my floor

My name is Marco Siqueira, I have been a tile installer for 18 years, I was hired in pompanoi beach fl, by mr Rick and mr Omar (who was fired) mr rick asked me about my insurance and said that I was missing the work comp , and they told me that if I wanted to, I could work on behalf of someone else until I'm sure it's ready, they said they would charge only 1% but it turned 10, I already had all the documents in a week and they never added them, I did 5 jobs which I didn't receive in total and I realized that they were lying all the time then I saw that I had entered into a frauduling scheme, of the 5 jobs I did a client didn't like it and complained but I was ready to solve it because I have 3 people who work for me they did and it didn't turn out well but the big ones I only got compliments, now rick doesn't answer me and Omar and the supposed company that received my work don't work at the company anymore. I'm writing this so that you can take the necessary measures because I'm going to file a lawsuit against the national for theft and expolracao of an employee

Flooring
We decided to install the new floor in our house. Jason Daniello, the representative from National Floors Direct, came to our house on March 19, 2022 to provide us quotes. We explained him that we want to install vinyl floors on our first floor and hard wood on the second floor. During the estimations, we pointed to the spot in the bedroom under the carpet where the plywood level was higher. We asked Jason whether they can also fix it during installation. He told us that on such surface we cannot install hard wood, because the surface should be perfectly leveled. Then he told us that their installers will fix it during installation before installing the hard wood floors. Jason provided us the quotes and mentioned that everything is included (removing current carpet, fixing the plywood and moving the furniture). He asked to sign the waive on 3 days cancellation. We were not planning to cancel the contract and we signed this waiver. We paid the deposit over Zelle and personal check. We agreed on the date of installation of April 16, 2022. On April 13, 2022, we were contacted by National Floors Direct with the request to come one day earlier (on April 15, 2022) and we agreed. On April 15, 2022, two installers came and started checking the floors. When they saw the plywood on the second floor, they told us that they cannot fix the plywood. We called National Floors Direct and Alexis told us that we should call third party to fix it first and then their installers are able to come and install the floors. In case if we do not want to call the third party first, they can install the hard wood without fixing plywood but the warranty will be cancelled. We declined both options, because our agreement with National Floors Direct included fixing the underlying plywood. I would like to mention that this dishonesty from National Floors Direct affected my wife health who is pregnant now. We warned NFD about this as well. Currently, we request National Floors Direct to return our deposit. During our conversation with customer service, they rely on their contract only and do not value their relationship with customers.
Desired outcome: Refund
Did you get your money back? I am also a victim. How can I get my back?
Like you, they deceived me and would not refund my deposit. Just two days before the installation, they called and said, "the product failed an inspection" so they can't install until a month or two months later. I requested a refund, they refused. They said it was already explained on the contract. When the salesperson came, he did not give me an opportunity to review the contract. He simply pointed out where to sign. He said he will email a copy of the contract for me to review. I have spoken with so many different "managers", but they all said I signed the contract and they are bound by it. There is not much they can do. I am looking to see if anybody is interested in a lawsuit against this company and get our money back.
I signed contract once yet the replicates signature is on lots of the 28 pg contract. I signed Feb 26 ONLY got a copy after repeated requests TODAY May 9, 2022! I want out. We’re in Fl and what was promised isn’t being done. I’m ready to get a lawyer. I tried to cancel within 3 days but had no contract so had no idea what rules had to be followed a $25,000 job with a deposit of $8250. I’m sick.
Install of hardwood floors in 3 bedrooms, hallway, and staircase
We had Brian Simone (sales rep) come to our home to give us a quote on hardwood floors. I asked it they installed stairs and he said yes. I asked him if the floors would be done in one day and he said yes. He said a crew arrives “ready to rock and roll” at the time of installment. He mentioned over and over again how life changing this would be and how these floors will last a lifetime.
Fast forward to our installation date of 4/13/21. Two men showed up after 9am and started working. They were at our house past 8pm. I have 4 small children at home. When they left, they advised they’d be back at 9am the next day to do the stairs-the last part.
All of our belongings were downstairs. I was planning to host Easter on Sunday.
The next morning they did not show at 9am. No one called. I kept calling and finally got ahold of someone who said they’d arrive around 11am.
They were at my house after 11am and left at 8pm,
The stairs were completely botched. Four of the stair treads were made up of 2 boards instead of one. They were choppy and awful. The kick plates were supposed to be white and they were the same wood. The bottom kick plate they edged around the base of our railing post which looks awful. The very top step is angled down which is a complete hazard. The upstairs hall has blemishes that look like someone spilled a chemical. I understand some wood has blemishes but professionals would put those in a closet or around the perimeter of a room, not the focal point of the hallway.
I was so disappointed after spending thousands of dollars and called. They approved the top step to be repaired but nothing else. They said as a homeowner I should have watched them while they did the stairs to be sure they were done right. They said when we get the top step repaired they would repair the other 4 but we’d have to buy a box of wood. Mind you we saw the van leave with boxes of wood they likely charged us for. I asked how much a box of wood was and they said $181. Instead of eating that as a company, they were adamant we paid it. When I asked if they’d accept a card over the phone they said they’d email me an invoice and then I’d have to mail a check. So now I need to sit as an unhappy customer for who knows how long. I will absolutely never recommend them and the salesman made out with a nice commission after lying to me.
Desired outcome: Repair the 4 stairs with 2 boards instead of 1 (at least)Fix the hazard at the top of the stairs Replace the blemished boards in the hall
Carpeting
Worst company to install your carpet. Customer service does not exist. They installed carpeting with holes, black stains and run marks. I wish I had reviewed this companies reviews before selecting. I paid top dollar to have them install carpeting in my newly finished basement. I will be posting pics. They say to vacum Carpet for the week if it doesn’t go away to call them back .Big mistake number two I gave them the a bank check right away. Anyone telling you to pay up front is a red flag. I’m hoping that this message will save someone else the heart ache.
Desired outcome: Just wanted what I paid for…for a carpet with no stains and no holes
I would like a refund at this point. My husband just installed all the moldings that we purposely left off be because we did not want Damage during the install. Again would like assistance with a full refund. As you can see from all the reviews there are many tactics early on that show intent to frauds like “waive your right to cancel” and “ bank check or cash” upfront and “multiple calls before the installation asking if we have the money to pay” attorney general should get involved because this shows intent to defraud the consumer

Watch out for Jason from National floors direct. -hone #[protected] he is a scam artist.
National floors direct brought out the incorrect color and carpet with stains and holes. Tthey
Carpeting
On March 21, 2022 my wife ordered carpeting for our home. A rep from NFD came out, took measurements, and showed several samples. My wife picked out a good quality carpet she knew we would like and signed a contract for $2432.00. The installation was to be done on March 29, 2022.
When the installers arrived, the brought in a sample of the carpet prior to installation to confirm that this is what was was ordered. The sample turned out to be a piece of very cheap, loose knit carpeting, and not even the same color. It was garbage and we told the installers it wasn't being put down because this is not what was ordered. The installers even showed me the loose roll of carpeting, not packaged in any way, no barcodes, no labels or markings of any kind. We made attempts to resolve the matter with at least 3 different, very rude and uncaring customer service reps. They all said we will now forfeit our $732 deposit for not allowing the installation. This is when we realized we'd been had. Within the next couple of days we were referred to a local installer. After I started to explain what happened to us, he immediately said "Let me guess, National Floors Direct?" I looked at my wife and said did you hear what he just said? He then said "They do it all the time, they use many tactics including bait and switch which is what it sounds like happened to you". After the positive referral, and reading reviews about the new local company we went with them. This new company explained to us that NFD actually over inflated the measurements by about 300 square feet. This would have cost us probably $500 more and he said that extra material would have been used on another job, paid for by us.
NFD, has proven to be deceitful, fraudulent, breeched the contract, and continues to make harassing phone calls back to us leaving messages that this contract must go forward. They threatened to surcharge us another 30% if the installation is not allowed. They don't even know that the job has already been completed by a competent, professional local company.
Desired outcome: Refund of our deposit of $732
Floor Installation, Laminate "Total Thieves", horrible customer service
Sales Person, David King, flat out lied and said that the leveling of my floor was included in the price he quoted me for the floor installation ($4K). The day of the installation I was told that I'd have to pay extra money to level the floor or they would not complete the job. At that point, I paid the $4,000 with no option to get my money back so I had to pay $1,000 more (20% increase to total job). Leveling the floor meant mixing a 1 bag of cement and spreading it across half of my floor within 45 mins...they didn't even do the entire floor.
I spoke to customer service and they told me there is no option for a refund and that all charges are in the contract, they won't honor anything their sales rep says to the customer. They essentially SCAMMED MY FAMILY for $1,000 and said, they don't see any problem here.
I should have listened to the reviews, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT, they are heartless crooks!
Desired outcome: Refund the additional $1,000 for leveling the floor. Honor what your sales rep told me.
None of these have been resolved none
None of these have been resolved none! I don’t know where you’re getting your information from but they pulled a bait and switch on me it’s been proven mohawk carpet has nothing to do with the carpet they have putting down in your floor. Unless you see the name Mohawk and all the other credentials that go along with Mohawk carpeting and in the same banner they do it it is not a mohawk carpet it would also come with a mohawk SKU number and on the bill and the warranty would be directly from Mohawk factory or it will not be honored I also never got my money back Better Business Bureau is working on this Consumer Protection and now I will go get the Attorney General involved. Make no mistake none of these have been resolved I don’t know what the site is doing but I haven’t gotten my money back and I need to buy the carpets I want it. Do not ever invite the back in your home for all you know they could try to get hurt and sue you get your money back. And then make sure the FBI has all documentation because this needs to be escalated or they will continue to do it they were told not to do this in the past when the fathers owned it and now they’ve got the son running it under another name and doing it again. The lawsuits are out there we’ve all seen them we know what they were slapped with in the past. And make no mistake none of these cases have been resolved.
Did this ever get resolved? Did you take it to court? What was the name of the company when the father owned it?
I am having a very difficult time getting a refund and I am resorting to filing suit and would like all of the info I can possibly get.
I really believe a class action suit needs to be made so they can stop getting rich by means of deception by cheating people of smaller amounts that fall under small claims court. So many people feel as if it would cost them more to persue and roll over and get taken advantage of and it isn't fair. They need to be stopped and held liable.
National Floors Direct - misrepresentation by sales person (and multiple managers, supposedly, on his phone at the time of the sales presentation)
copy of the request I sent to the NFD:
Due to delayed install please refund and cancel our order immediately. This was MISREPRESENTED when I was sold this floor install. Multiple times I was reassured the install would be THIS week (in fact, 9/22 and I gave an extra day by accepting a 9/23 install date).
I no longer want your flooring nor your install. Please refund IN FULL despite contract due to this misrepresentation.
It’s a shyster situation due to how the the situation was represented by your sales person (and his multiple manager calls).
Ty, JPJ order: Jillian Jeffries-NJ30152
PS - as of 10:30a I spoke with a (finally, helpful) customer service rep who looked up the "overnight" shipment and indicated there was a shipping delay but would not provide any way for me to confirm this. I requested contact when a manager speaks with Vic the sales person regarding this misrepresentaton. jpj
Desired outcome: Full refund without any reduction in the refund for "restocking" or any other reason. Perhaps a letter of apology would also be nice.
