I met with a sales representative from National Floors Direct to get a quote. We got to an agreeable price for the install and wrote the contract payable with financing. The representative provided me with a QR Code for Syncrony Bank to obtain financing at 0%. He said if financing doesn't go through then we cancel contract. I agreed and we continued on with details of contract. He then said I needed to fill out this rejection of three day cancellation option or we couldn't proceed since the order would need to get in that night to be able to install in the coming weeks, stressing if financing is a problem this will not be an issue. I did not have a check for the deposit and they do not take charge cards. The representative brought out the deposit in his own cash and took a photo of it as "proof of payment". He then provided me his personal Zelle account to send him the money directly, which I did. The following business day my financing was denied. I called him and let him know, he told me to call NFD and let them know so I could cancel the install. I did and for the past 3 days have been calling and emailing, escalating with no call backs and finally spoke with a customer service manager named Alex this afternoon. Alex informed me that he is as senior in the NFD customer service team as possible. I explained the situation to him and requested the cancellation be done as there is no financing so no way to pay. Alex said that he would not cancel the order and it is not possible to cancel an order with NFD, I will loose the deposit, 30% penalty and any fees they may be able to impose. I requested to speak to a Sales Manager to try to explain the situation there. He said sure he would note it in my call log. I have not heard anything back and do not expect to. This company would rather impact their customers financially than work with them. The word of mouth and karma will certainly catch up with the company. I will do my absolute best to let people know how they operate and stress how they should avoid it. I will post the story in every community page and HOA that I can to help others avoid this.
