I had a terrible experience with New York Dress. I ordered a wedding dress from them but it didn't fit and they told me after the fact that they don't accept returns. So I'm now stuck with a very expensive dress that I can't wear. I would never order from them again.

I have bought a dress from newyorkdress.com paid for it, paid for the shipment then paid the UK vat & tax duty. Ordered a size 10 then shockingly received a size 16! At first I thought I made a mistake in my order, checked my email and order and found out that I did actually order a size 10 and NOT a size 16. Called the company, explain to the first person who answered who passed me onto another person then to another finally to the supervisor (Fabiola) and I had to tell the whole story over & over again each time!
The supervisor kept saying "we don't have a size 10" 😲 Excuse me?!?! Why would you send me a size 16 when I ordered a size 10?!
Why didn't you call me to checK how I wanted to proceed? Why did your website show that a size 10 is available? Etc.
And Fabiola kept saying with cold blood: "we don't have a size 10". To cut the story short, I ordered my dress on 17 February and to this moment of writing i.e. 17/3/18 the dress (a Mac Duggal 4610D) is still available to order on their website & in size 10! I told them that I ordered a size 10 and that they had to honour their commitment with me- at no avail. to this date I haven't heard from them. This comes to show what kind of people they are!
No ethics and no honour.

Nice clothing they have, really nice and prices are good too. The main reason why I decided to write about NewYorkDress is their poor customer service.
I've ordered from them many times now and will not do that again because I'm sick of how they treat their customers!
Their reps are always rude, they are very impolite!
My last order arrived in time and everything seemed to be fine until found out that one item was way to small. Wanted to exchange for a bigger size and contacted NewYorkDress rep. They gave me nothing but headache and said that they cannot refund me, or replace, or exchange. It was obvious that these people did not care and didn't want to help! The worst customer service ever!

I have ordered several dresses from NewYorkDress and received them on time. Dresses were great, I really liked the quality and was satisfied with my purchase, but one dress had a broken zipper so I contacted them and asked for a replacement. They refused and as a result I left few negative reviews online. Recently I decided to order something from NewYorkDress again. Yes, they refused to help me in the past, but still, these guys have really nice clothes. I placed my order and paid. Later I noticed that I got my money back and that my order was cancelled. Contacted them and they said that I was on their black list and that they'll never sell anything to me again. How ridiculous is that!

I am very disappointed with www.newyorkdress.com! I ordered a dress from this company and the one arrived was very small and did not fit at all. I contacted the company and they promised to send me a replacement, so I sent the dress back. Later they sent me a message stating that exchange was not possible and gave me a store credit. I wasted over $500 on that dress and they gave me only $100 back! I'll never order anything from them again!

I purchased a $200 brand new sequin dress for my daughter. The dress arrived with sequins twisted and beads falling off the dress. I informed the company right away and sent them pictures as they requested. The company then offered me an exchange only. After getting a poor quality product mis-advertised as "new", I had no intention of playing the guessing game and re-ordering another poor quality dress from them so I asked for a refund. They emailed me back and said they'd give me $21.80 to have the dress repaired at a seamstress. My event was less than 2-days away! My seamstress wouldn't touch the dress because of the delicate beading and sequins. AND!...I paid for a BRAND NEW dress that shouldn't have been ripped or torn in the first place. Buyer beware! Regardless of the fact that they sent me a ripped dress, they refused to give me my money back. Buyers Beware! I would NEVER purchase anything from this company again. How dare you sent me a ripped dress that was advertised as a BRAND NEW $218 DRESS?!?!

I purchased an expensive dress for my daughter's wedding. The dress was too large and I sent it back for a smaller size. Both dresses after trying them on were not "true to size" but sewn improperly according to measurements. After sending these two dresses back I was informed that they were taking $l0.00 off the amount I paid because I returned the dress after I spent my own money sending them back. So far I am out of pocket the costs of the dresses and the costs for mailing them back and the extra money they charged for sending them back. Unbelievable! These people are taking advantage of nonsuspecting consumers and lining their pockets at the same time. These business practices need to be stopped. Beware consumers of businesses that sell clothing online. They are not all respectable companies as I have found out and I will be looking into litigation.

Completely overpriced and you don't even know if they're really in New York. Over $200 for a dress is ridiculous for some no-brand untrustworthy site. Bought a dress from them once and I wouldn't have even paid over $50 for.

FAKE FAKE FAKE! Don't use this site, they make fake replicas of real designer dresses! They do not accept returns for any reason, and are no longer responding to my emails. The dress is poorly made, paid almost $300 for it and I wouldn't even wear it to a costume party. What a waste of money. I don't know how they sleep at night. If you're going to do fake dresses, at least lower the price!

I have been looking for the perfect prom dress for my senior prom which is in April. I stumbled across newyorkdress.com. I fell in love with a dress, a long turquoise Jasz Couture dress. #4523. I placed my order on March 13, 2012. The shipping says 5-7 business days, I didn't receive it until yesterday, March 26, 2012. That kind of upset me since I was stressed out and I kept thinking if order was wrong or something was wrong! Yet, after I opened my box.. I fell in love! It was beautiful! The exact dress from the picture. The beading was excellent. It was my exact size, which I was scared of since I've had trouble with fitting into sizes that have my measurements. The only issue I do have is the fact that I placed my height, &i received a dress that was way too long! Now, I'm 5'1 and with 4inch heels, that dress was still too long! It looks like I have a train on the dress. But other than that, I am very pleased. If reading this didn't help anyone, the advice I would give is : be patient. Have faith. &Cross your fingers that your dress comes out right. I feel that the more you bother a company the higher risk you get of getting your dress all sloppy. But that's just my thought on it. I can not stress this enough, BUY YOUR DRESS A. MONTH BEFORE YOUR EVENT! Well I hope I helped someone with this review.

I was overcharged. To get faster shipping then 5-7 business days after a two day in house delay I had them use my Federal Express account even though the website said "Free Shipping ". I later found out that they charged me an extra $42.50 even though i was paying for the shipping directly with Federal Express. They were nit supposed to charge me shipping if anything i should have had a shipping credit for not using their free shipping. The person I talked to spent forever taking my information. Lost it and then asked for it all a 2nd time. They refused to give any credit for their free shipping. I finally canceled the order after not getting this resolved with them.

Paying top dollar for a poor quality dress materials are shabby, a Chinese counterfeit dress, hence the 12 week wait for most dresses.

They rip me off! I ordered a $800 dress and a received a dress that is probably not even $50. 00 that looks nothing like what i ordered. I called to ask for a refund and i kept getting the round about! I am tired of them and i want a full refund! Don't buy you were warned. Run don't stop, if you need a dress find another place but not this one!

I ordered and paid for a $400 dress; but I received a dress that was different than the picture, even a different name. the sequins fell off just lifting it out of the box. 2 of the appliques were on with safety pins. there was a large hole in the ruffle by the neck. the hem was not finished. the zipper in the back was missing. the list is even longer of everything that was wrong. then when we called, we were told there were no refunds. The dress we received was about a $50 knock off. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! IF YOU ALREADY DID, CONTACT AN ATTORNEY AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND HAVE THEM SHUT DOWN! They apparently have ripped off alot of people!

Ordered a dress for my daughter's prom just three weeks ago. I have received an email stating that I would receive the dress order two weeks after ordering. After two weeks have passed, I received an email stating that my order would take another week, which would put us a week before the event. Three days later, I received another email stating that they did not have the color we ordered, and would we like the color they have. What a waste of time. Absolutely dreadful!
