We wanted to have a egress window put in our house so we called up Barry at Nisby. The guy who put in the window was obviously really experienced and did a awesome job on the project. The window looks awesome and we really liked how they cleaned up everything after they were done installing it.

They was hired to replace soffit, fascia and eavestroughing and said they could start the last week in june. They changed that to a week later (July 5) they ripped off the old boards and eavestroughing and left it on my yard. Then multiple days of no one showing up to work on my house. Several calls and emails and WEEKS later they finally came to complete the work but the final part was not done until August 6! 24 business days and yet another series of texts and emails just to try to get them to finish. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Nisby Home Renovations Limited fixed my house roof, which was okay, but the car port roof is a mess. They replaced it with shingles in the fall, but in the spring, it started leaking. Jim came and saw the problem and said they would fix it when it got warmer. However, throughout the whole summer, they did nothing and I didn't hear from Nisby. I called them again the next year, and they promised to fix it. I called them more than 10 times to get it fixed, but there was no response, not even a call back. Finally, I called Barry, and someone was sent to fix it. However, all they did was put some silicone along the cracks. Meanwhile, the leaking caused the lumber to rot. It's really frustrating and disappointing.

Nisby Home Renovations Limited Poor customer service in showing interest to correct problems immediately

Poor customer service in showing interest to correct problems immediately. Hired Nisby to do my siding on my mobile home in 2021. Due to early winter had to wait for spring of 2022 for work to be done. Two guys were hired to do the job starting in March 2022 when still had at least 3+ feet of snow around my place. They were rarely there and worked 3 hours maybe when they did show up according to neighbours. Even a contractor told me the work never should have started with the amount of snow around my place. So here I am almost a year later after my place was stripped of all its siding, roof edge seal removed and plywood left bare to the weather elements, still waiting for the inside of my place to be assessed and checked for damages created from this and for the possibility of mold because of the two heavy rainfalls and the snow of Aprill 2022 to be taken care of. All I get is someone will be out there yet no one has ever shown up. Even though. the ceilings were painted stains are coming through again along the ceiling edges along with more water damage problems in other areas of my place. Months later no one has come. I have talked and messaged Dwayne, a continued run around. I work and cannot just ask for time off all the time only to find out no one can come. Been told someone will come in the evening. Not happening either. I am fed up! They can't even keep in touch to let me know what is going on until I text Dwayne and ask him what is going on. The whole experience has been a complete disappointment and I would not recommend Nisby Home Renovations Limited to anyone.

Nisby Home Renovations Limited May 18 (2022): I signed a contract with Nisby for an egress window installation

May 18 (2022): I signed a contract with Nisby for an egress window installation. We agreed on a June 16 install date and I paid a $1000 deposit. May 25 (8 AM): Nisby was supposed to come to my home at this time for an assessment. They arrived around 9:15 AM, but I couldn't attend to them as I was in a meeting. May 28/29: We rescheduled for these dates, but no one showed up. June 5: After contacting them, they finally came to assess. June 15: I emailed Nisby to inquire about the permit approval, as the rest of my renovation depended on it. They responded that they hadn't even filed for the permit yet. June 20: Since I hadn't heard anything back, I contacted Nisby again. I had several conversations with someone who I thought was a Nisby employee. They assured me the permit would be filed that evening. They also sent me the owner statement, which I hadn't filled out because no one had asked me to do so before. June 21: I received a text claiming they hadn't received a completed owner statement. However, it turned out to be false, as the issue was on their end and they couldn't see the filled-out fields. This is when I realized that the person I had been talking to was not a Nisby employee, but a subcontractor. Surprisingly, it was the only contractor I hadn't contacted for a quote. July 24: Finally, the window was installed. July 25: I noticed a gap in the window and informed the contractor. I also had to clean up the rock mess they left on the street. July 28: The contractor said they would come to see the window but didn't show up. July 29: They rescheduled for August 2 instead. August 12: Window replacement was supposed to happen, but it didn't. August 15: Again, the window replacement didn't happen. August 16: Finally, the window was replaced. August 18: I noticed the window was jamming. August 19: The contractor called and said it was supposed to be that way. Later, I contacted *** and they informed me that it's not supposed to be like that. Now I'm waiting for them to inspect. Nisby is requesting payment.

Nisby Home Renovations Limited I contacted Nisby Home Renovations in May to get an estimate on a new roof at our house, and also for siding on the part of the roof that sticks

I contacted Nisby Home Renovations in May to get an estimate on a new roof at our house, and also for siding on the part of the roof that sticks out, as well as 2 vents for the garage roof. Jim from Nisby Home Renovations came over and gave me a quote on May 19, 2022, and the next day I paid a deposit of $1,410.00. The quote said that the roof would be done in June and the siding in August, 2022. June came and went, and my daughter and I, who both own the house, decided to skip the siding on the protruding part of the roof because we got different advice and thought it would be better to wait until we had all the information. I called Jim at Nisby Home Renovations and he took that part of the work off and gave me a new invoice. He said the roof would be done soon, and around July 5, 2022, the roofing shingles and materials, as well as the vents for the garage roof, were delivered. But on that day, Jim said the "hydraulics failed" and no work was done. My daughter and I waited for about 2 weeks, and still no word about the work being done. Instead, the shingles just stayed on a crate on the grass. My daughter called and left a message asking when the work would be done. The following Monday (July 25, 2022), Jim from Nisby left messages saying that "our time had come" and the work would be done on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, the next day. My daughter waited at home in the morning until 10:30am, but nobody showed up. She was annoyed and went to the office of Nisby Renovations at 203 Ferry Road, and Barry/Jim said that a roofing company was supposed to start that day, but the person in charge was out buying roofing nails and later got sick. I called this person who does the same kind of subcontracting work. We canceled the job and agreed to their option 3, which was to pay for the restocking and get a refund of $610. The shingles were returned, but the grass under the crate got damaged. Now Nisby is ignoring our request to accept the refund.

Nisby Home Renovations Limited I signed a quote and gave a deposit to Nisby Home renovations to install vinyl siding by end July

I signed a quote and gave a deposit to Nisby Home renovations to install vinyl siding by end July. Even after repeated calls, no work has been started. I wish to file a complaint against Nisby Home Renovations LTD in Winnipeg, MB. On Wednesday, June 17, Jim R came by our house to give me an estimate on vinyl siding, eaves replacement and stucco painting. He was very friendly and accommodating. It had started raining very hard just as he arrived so we agreed to do the site inspection and quote another day but when the rain stopped 30 mins later, he came back. This seemed like a guy who was dedicated to pleasing his customers and getting our business. After he thoroughly explained the job and everything it entailed, he gives me an itemized quote on paper, I tell him that I need to discuss with my fiancé and also need to get a few more quotes and will get back to him. He tells me that if we go with Nisby, they can start the job in mid July. June 23: I called Jim and asked if he could come back at a very specific time to be able to catch my fiancé before he goes to work, to talk us both through the process. He happily agrees to come at that time. June 25: Jim comes back at the time requested and again, very thoroughly and pleasantly talks both me and my fiancé through the process spending about 45 minutes with us. He again writes us up a quote. We decide we will go with Nisby but at this point we couldn't decide between two colours of siding. Jim insists that he brings back two larger panel samples for us to look at 4 days later on June 29 so we will have a better idea. I signed the quote and later that night etransferred Nisby the deposit of $2800 which was also accepted and deposited by Nisby that night. On the quote it says, "Date of delivery shall be approximately: End July weather and work schedule permitting." Jim also said before he left that he would email me that evening. I imagined it would be an email with a more thorough breakdown of the costs and an acknowledgement of the deposit made, but no email came. June 30: Jim calls and asks us which siding colour we chose. We reminded him that he insisted that he bring us larger sample pieces to choose from before we settle on a colour. He remembers and says he'll be by July 3 with samples for us to see. He never showed. July 13: I email Jim. No response. Have not received any samples nor heard one word from Nisby or Jim since June 30. July 15: I called Jim's cell phone. No answer and his voice mail was full. I called Nisby and told whoever it was that I talked to that we were waiting on Jim to bring us some siding samples and couldn't get a hold of him. That gentleman told me that Jim's phone was in the shop and that he would give Jim the message to call me when Jim came in that day. July 17: Called Jim's cell phone again. No answer and voice mail is full again. I called Nisby again and they told me that they would again give Jim the message to call me when he came in. That evening Jim calls me and tells me that he's been in Saskatchewan at a family funeral. Just got back into town 40 minutes ago and will bring by samples either the next day or early next week. He never shows. July 21: I receive a voice mail from Jim. Tells me that he's been sick and hasn't forgotten about us. He will drop off samples soon. I email him back that night wishing him to get better, letting him know that we are looking forward to getting the samples and asking for a link to the paint collection they use so that we can choose our stucco paint colour. No response. Work was stated to be done "End July". It is now July 31 and we haven't even received samples. ANYONE from Nisby could have dropped them off by now. At this point it is clear that Nisby has stolen our $2800 deposit and we want it back.
