Hi,
I purchased a Nissan Altima on 01/31/2023 and paid THE FULL AMOUNT with a cheque form my Bank of America checking account.
THERE WAS NO FINANCE INVOLVED.
On 11/09/2023 I contacted CarMax who agreed to purchase the car. On arrival at CarMax and after confirming the price, I was informed that I could not sell the car as a LIEN had been placed on the car. This was not communicated to me by Enterprise and I was unaware of the Lien until I tried to sell the car to CarMax.
Because I had a flight the next day to the UK, I have had to leave the car in storage with a storage company, and the Appraisal offer to buy the car at the price agreed with CarMax is only good until 11/16.
I am furious that Enterprise have done this and I require the following actions taken immediately:
1. Remove the Lien and provide written confirmation this has been done.
2. Provide me with financial compensation for loss of value on the car
3. Provide compensation for distress and stress caused
4. Provide compensation for cost of storing car
5.But car back for the price originally paid as form of compensation for items 2-4
Should I not receive a satisfactory response to the above or receive no response at all within 48 hrs, I will take legal advice on the best way to proceed.
David Thurlow
Desired outcome: 1. Remove the Lien and provide written confirmation this has been done.
