My mobile is not working problem (Nokia-3230) , I have given three times to nokia center but still is not working properly, last time I gave this mobile to nokia service center west patel nagar, new delhi india before 10 days and job sheet number is [protected], but still they could not return my mobile, they said it will take 20 days. I can not leave without my mobile, and I found nokia mobile gives a lot of problem. For others - do not buy nokia products if you don't want to have problems after.

I am tired now, I bought my Nokia 6630 and to my surprise Nokia Care is not ready to format my MMC (Multi Media Chip). This is so torturing as I am not getting any place where I can scan my MMC. Please help me where in South Delhi I can scan my MMC? I cant go to each n every shop requesting for formatting the MMC.? If anyone can help me, I shall remain grateful forever.

Well, the Nokia customer care center in Pitam pura near the Kohat enclave has Zero response. Useless to pay salary to such irresponsible staff. People are truly facing problem with such sick nokia staffs.

Mr ashwani goyal, a consumer from ambala has problem with his nokia set. when he sent a legal notice to nokia, then nokia's mr vikas called him from his mobile no. [protected] and promised to replace the set. Now as the time is going by, mr vikas has stopped picking up his phone.

Nokia India: pathetic apathy for the Indian customer

Nokia is selling some of its degraded products that have software problems. If customer come across such problem in a new set, they waste lot of time in running around service centers as it does not help much, they company informs for replacement set after repeated follow up only.

This promise is never fulfilled, if it is fulfilled the customer gets either a secondhand phone or a hand set which is even worse than the defective hand set. After some time the same problems occurs in supplied set also and customer runs around Nokia Service Center again and again.

Problems with Substandard Nokia Handset

The phone works well after initial period of purchase, the problem starts after few days, near the end or after the end of guarantee period. Following are the general problems observed-

• Some of the hand set has software problems which work well during initial period, but after some time problem starts and finally it crashes which requires replacement of hand set. Replaced hand set also gives same experience.
• In some of cases after 5-6 days of purchase, at the end of guarantee expiry or with in one month after expiry of guarantee period the phone started giving a minor problem of restarting / rebooting and crashes at the end.
• The phone switches-off on its own a few times in spite of having network
• Poor battery performance, needing recharging every 3-4 hrs this is not helping even after replacement with new battery
• Nokia mobile generate temperature, if the conversation goes more then 15 Minutes.

• It switches off suddenly while you are sending or replying SMS. So have to keep watch after sending or replying SMS if it is working or not or else you will end up having a switched off phone in your pocket ensuring you miss important calls.

• Nokia care attribute some of the problem due to faulty IEC , but the problem still persists in spite of replacement of IEC,
• Bad network transmission, automatic switching-off of the phone & headset clarity problem.
• Display panel light not glowing; display is there but no light due to starting of sudden vibration. Vibration stops only after removal of battery. But when battery is fixed back vibrations starts immediately.

Faulty handsets in Indian Market:

Nokia 6255 CDMA

The Nokia 6255 is technically faulty phone as it gets hanged, switch off, asks for transfer of data with out using phone, and gets disconnected several times. The replacement phone also gives the same problem.
Once this phone goes dead, you will not be able to do anything, as with CDMA technology, you don’t have SIM cards, which you can put in another phone, and keep your work going. The phone dead means you are out of communication.

Phones where problem observed are 1101, 1112, 1120, 1600, 2112, 2300, 2600, 2865, 3105, 3100, 3120, 3155CDMA, 3220, 3230, 3250, 6030, 6125, 6131, 6233, 6225CDMA, 6260, 6265, 6255 CDMA 6270, 6280, 6600, 6630, 6670, 6708, 7610, 668 i, N70, N80, N93, E50

If a phone starts giving problem, Indian customer falls into trap of Nokia Service never ending circle. In most of the cases matter never reported to concerned authorities due to lack of time on such matters.

Local Nokia Service Center making fool of Indian Customer:

If you visit to local Nokia Care centre you will be surprised to find a majority of customers fighting for their instruments, this includes some who are waiting for more than three months and some who have got the mobile repaired but the problem was repeatedly recurring.
Customer care division is worst they are not ready to even listen properly/give response to their customers. They cheats customer by saying that their network is not working come next day, tomorrow , day after tomorrow so on. In case of follow up they will say that your phone has come back with out repair and reasons for same are not known to them. They make customer to come time again and again.
If user can gives mobile into service center he has to forget about mobile because he can't get his mobile back with in a month means he has to take a new mobile. He gets the mobile repaired luckily after 2-3 months and if a mobile replacement is given it gives same experience, it's a general experience at Nokia care center, It seems that they does like that because they want to show minimum complaints, they will give bad service no one will go to care center and they will get the official record of very few complaints.
If you see at Nokia Care center you will see that there are so many complaints about handset and Nokia care center gives same experience (Bad & Frustrating) to every one.
The Nokia care people if returns handset, even after repairing, it does not work. Some time they handled the phone for repair so carelessly that one just can’t use it. Some time when replacement is given, you will find visible scratch marks and the replacement hand set is also not starting at all. It is also seen that the product gives same experience even after replacing handset 4-5 times.

Some time excuse is taken that the model has to be changed but new module is not available as soon as they receive it will be replaced with a new model returned. But this rarely happens.
Local Nokia Care people always blame delay on Nokia state service center for all delay but real picture no one knows.
One has to spend lot of time on getting heard for their complain but later customer realizes that coming to local Nokia care center is wastage of time with out end result.

Nokia Care Center office in Bangalore:

All customers complain are handled by Nokia Care center at Bangalore. There is no alternate address provided in case customer wants to refer their problem to them. Nokia Care, Bangalore never solves the problem & always gives the standard reply “we will to revert back in 48 hours with Solution” but no reply is given after 48 hrs.

They are not at all concerned about the Consumer. Time taken for any repair is so long as if customer has committed a CRIME by buying their product.

If you try to send the email to Nokia Care, you get the following reply from Nokia Servers.

But in actual this does not happen, they get access to the mail and reply is given as per their convenience.
The telephone numbers provided on the job sheet are more or less of no use as you have to wait for long time to get connected to the service person, other lines usually remains busy or if the number rings nobody picks up the phone.
Nokia Care will make calls if they see that matter is getting worse. They will ask for information again and again for which information is already provided to them. The customer gives the information but no time frame is given for action. Again you will find that in next call there is different person asking for same information but silent on status of repair.
If you are able to send direct communication to Nokia Head Offices or Nokia Head Office Finland, the Nokia care center (Bangalore) executive will inform the customer that sending mail to their head office will not give any results as this will be forwarded to them by their Head Office. Similarly there will be no communication from Nokia Head Office in this matter.
It is general experience the customer has to spent large of amount in making long calls for getting status of repair.
Performance of replaced handset:

In some cases Nokia replaced handset more than 4 times! But in all handset again all issues like - blank display, phones hangs, auto switch off etc surfaced. The customer at the end forgets this matter due to lack of time on such matter and switches to phones supplied by other vendors where he gets good product and services.

Overall standard of services to Indian customers

Following is the feedback of various Nokia Customer having a defective handset. This includes advocate of Supreme Court, doctors, Engineers, Business man etc.-

• They never adhered to any Commitment & have no coordination at all.
• Their Servicing is of Utmost low Grade. Change Nokia caption “Connecting people” to “Hating people”
• I didn't seen such extremely bad & frustrating service, which Nokia Customer people are giving to There customer. I warn prospective buyers to be careful.

• I was out of communication for 1 month and my patients suffered a lot, because when Nokia service center took my phone for replacement, my CDMA service was also discontinued as I could not transfer my number to another phone.
• I am sorry to say but ever since I purchased the handset, my life has become so very troublesome. Leave alone the amount I spent for the handset, I have incurred quite some cost, just in the process of getting it repaired time & again & the inconvenience that I have faced during the process is better if left undiscussed or unsaid.
• I have to pay for a rotten product, pay for downloading data from the rotten product and wait for over 20 days to get repairs. I do not know weather the repairs shall be worthwhile as the number of complaints at Nokia Service Centre are just Hundreds per day.

• Don’t take NOKIA mobile because NOKIA didn't have ability to provide good service to their customer.
• Please do not buy Rotten Nokia Products; it’s a pathetic apathy for the purchaser.

• With this kind of experience with Nokia product & customer care executives has left me highly disappointed but all this disappointment coming from a brand like Nokia is a shame.
• I had similar experience with Nokia service and now I have decided that I will never buy a Nokia phone. The service is so hopeless that you feel ashamed of yourself that why you brought this phone. Absolute waste of time, money and peace of mind if you happen to use Nokia service.
• Nokia handsets are good, only if there is no problem, otherwise owing a NOKIA handset a big headache! Now I have bought another handset.
Question to be answered by Nokia India:

Why Nokia and the concerned staff should not be made to compensate the consumer for causing immense hardships, gross harassment, wastage of precious time, making the consumer suffer for such a long period without the availability of any mobile instrument?

Why no addresses or numbers of the concerned higher authorities was provided even after repeated requests at Delhi and Bangalore? May be the staff wants to hide their shortcomings from the senior management;

Why the Nokia is giving so many advertisements for their products when they do not have the time and infrastructure to provide the services for their products and making their consumers pay for all the harassment being meted out to them?

Why Nokia do not have complain tracking system and time frame by which the complain will be addressed

Why Nokia India do not call back faulty products from Indian Market instead of making customer fool.

Why Senior Management of Nokia India and Nokia Finland is sleeping over these grave issues

On 28-10-2006 I purchased Nokia N731D Plum/Silcer IMIE No.[protected] from M/s Time Emporium Green park, New Delhi. The phone has not been working satisfactorily right from the date of purchase. The same was repaired once from Nokia service centre green park but of no avail. I sent a registered letter to the company and on their advice deposited the same with service center on 27.1.2007 job sheet no. [protected]. Nokia representative admitted that there is manufacturing defect in the said phone

I went to the service centre in the first week of March 2007, who wanted to replace my phone with another old phone, which I did not accept and returned the same with great difficulty.

I am sorry to say that Nokia magnitude does not care to redress the grievances of the customers after selling the product though the said cellphone is under warranty.

Wow! What an awesome experience to being with world's largest mobile services. I don't know that whether my precious time would be considered by you people or it will goes like invain. Whatsoever it would be I as a customer of Nokia have to aware you people that what is going on in todays world. I'd like to inform you that initially I went to the Nokia care to repair the battery clip which was broken. Fine not an issue the customer care executive told me that you have to pay 75 bucks to get it repair. I was happy on that time and he told me that come back after 2 hours. I said ok no problem. But, I don't know that I had given my handset for the experimental use and when I came back I got to know that my handset should send to Nokia care. I submit my Nokia 6680 on 2nd April and after 7 days I got a replaced 6680. In this handset I find plenty of complains so, again I submit that handset. Now, I am very much frustrated and I have lodged my complain to the customer care and I got complain ID as well. Now, they people are telling me that after 72hrs you have to call us back to get to know about your resolution. In short they are also not sure that what will gonna happen. I am not at all satisfied with your customer care and outlet answer. Therefore, finally I have obliged to send this mail. Tell me one thing that who will gonna competence about my customer care money, my time spent to visit your outlet, mentally harassment and the most significant thing is about my precious customer. One amazing thing was occurred while I talk with one of the customer care executive named Sudhir Mukharji I don't know that whether they people are being trained by the company or not whatever that is the secondary thing even he is not aware about the soft skill that how to communicate with the customer and the fundamental thing the knowledge of an English language. He don't know about how to speak English no matter but even he don't understand it what I am talking about. Eventually it reflects the customer care that why they have built it.

I am from Bhutan studying in Indore. My mobile Nokia7610 was given to the care center in Indore (Gayatri Incorporation, LG-6 Royal Diamond, Opp State Bank of Indore, YN Road) on 27/02/07. As they couldn't get it mended it was forwarded by them to Bhopal Care center. I got my mobile back on 27/03/07 which was some 15 days later than what they told me. To my surprise the new mobile came to be defective again. It was a new piece bearing IMEI. They again told be to wait for some 10 to 11 days as it will be taken to Delhi. Now its been around a month and a half without mobile. And i need to go to Bhutan and need my mobile within a week.

I just bought this set 2310 on 30-01-2007 since then its speaker is not working. I went to nokia care centre in ashok vihar to solve my problem. They replace a new speaker and say it will work but with in a week i had to face th same problem i could not understand. I have faith in nokia company, bu no more nokia for me.

My ear piece stopped transmitting the voice when i was on a call. I gave the mobile to nokia service centre, navratna hotel, gwalior-474009, they get corrected. But it happened regularly within the period of 2-3 months i went again and again they get repaired without any charge applied cause it was in warranty period. I want to ask them a question that how do they repair that it goes out of service again and again it has gone out of order again and now they r asking for money. They should repair the mobile correctly in warranty period but they r not doing so now they r telling that this tym when u will pay my mobile will not get out of order. They also told that u will have to pay to get it working the service of nokia is very bad.

I had bought a nokia 7260 last year from bangalore from a nokia showroom. It started having keypad problems initially and later the keys 2,5,8,0 stopped working,but i could make calls perfectly,to say the least it had absolute clearity. Then i gave it to nokia care centre in jayanagar 4th block 1st block. They even charged me rs1200 but it stopped working the night i brought it back. I could not make any calls and it kept switching off all the time. I gave it back to the same nokia care centre and asked them to fix the problem. They not only spoiled my cell phone permanently but also offered no compensation and infact the person there told me it was not his problem! When i told them i would take them to court they gave me back my rs1200 which they charged last time in the pretext of repairing it. Now am left with no phone. If the nokia care centre keeps behaving like this sooner or later they would face legal actions from people who really mean business. I would suggest nokia companies to open a complain forum where people can voice their concerns and take actions on such rude and unprofessional customer service people.

I purchased a new 9500 from Teleworld at PD-29A, Pitam Pura, Delhi-34. Vide Bill No.6817 dated 10-09-2007 against EMI no.[protected] for Rs.25000/-.

My phone got faulty as DEAD HANDSET mentioned on Job Sheet No.[protected] dated 06-11-2006 with HCL Care Centre at 30/28, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi against Which I got back new handset after 2 days.

Again it was deposited same place with HCL Care Centre at 30/28, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi vide Job sheet No.[protected] dated 10-11-2006 against new trouble of BLANK DISPLAY and UI PROBLEM against which I received new handset on 04-12-2006.

Third time it was deposited with HCL Care Centre at 30/28, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi with the new problem NO NETWORK vide Job Sheet No.[protected] dated 01-02-2007 against which I received back a new replacement phone on 02-03-2007.

Finally on 15-03-2007 there was a new trouble in my 9500 as Battery shows Full but my phone gets reboot in between the conversation and shows connected to the phone but it hangs and no key function is there and most of the calls are one sided that I cannot listen the caller but he can listen.

I deposited this 9500 handset with HCL Care Centre at 30/28, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi vide Job Sheet No.[protected] dated 16-03-2007 vide EMI No.[protected] along with battery.

I am completely not satisfied with NOKIA services.

Theres a manufacture defect in my nokia n 70 music edition. And gave it to the nokia care hcl infinet center and the people in nokia care aren't giving any correct information... And i have registered 6 complaints in nokia care and even those people are not. Giving me any sufficient information and the hcl people told me that the phone cannot be repaired so we are giving u a replacement... And those fooollllsss too it nearly 2 months and they replaced and again theres a problem in that phone theres no signal i cannot talk or make any calls. So i again went up to the hcl and those people told me that... Sorry we are again replacing u with a new phone... And 'i' cannot wait any longer i have the warranty proof of purchase and even that worthless job sheets and job sheet numbers. I have a the detail and i am going to the consumer court and file a complaint about the manufacture defect and the negligence of those. So called "nokia care hcl infinet.

I am not a fan of NOKIA phones, however when i was going to buy a phone earlier this year i was convinced by a friend to buy nokia 3230. Well, I shouldn't have listened to him because now I deeply regret buying that phone. I used my previous phone (a sagem) for two years without a single problem before it was stolen. Guess I have to go back to phones brands that have been tried and tested.

I recently about 15 days back purchased Nokia 5300, i have majorly battery problem, battery backup is very poor, after charging for 3 hours till full battery I get to use it only for half day without using Music features, vibrator or radio.

After receiving 4 call, it shows low battery. i am very disappointed with Nokia, and this Model as it is a utter flop model. They are cheating customers with this model. I used this new phone for 5 days and gave to Nokia Service Centre Bangalore to rectify the problem, they have not repaired nor replaced the set and handed over the same problematic cell.

If this the response from the Nokia care we will never opt to by any of the Nokia products.

Dear friends please do not buy Nokia 5300 as it a flop model.

I have Nokia 6255 CDMA Phone connected to Reliance. One side hinge of the Flap (Centre part of Panel Cover out of 4 parts). I want replacement. If you find some solution kindly intimate where to change the same. It is shameful to Nokia Service Centre (Main in Chennai) to say that part will not be available with them. They further says to check the spare from the condemned cell phone. They should not have confirmed like this. My mail id: mohanrao@hotmail.com

1. Planet Shoppe,Rajakamal Sqr. Amravati
2. Nokia Care Centre, near Rajapeth Police Station, Badnera Road, Amravati , Maharashtra, India.

I am belong to Amravati [M.S.], India. I have purchased Nokia 6072 model from yours district dealer mobile shop "Planet".

When I reached to your dealer for the complaint regarding the battery charging, i faced a very rudely treatment by your Nokia dealer and I've experienced badly when i shocked to see that my mobile battery has been charged by the dealer instead of clearing the problem.

When I got it replaced by an old and used battery, I made complaint to your authorized Nokia Care centre who explained me very properly how that battery has been changed by the earlier dealer named "Planet Mobile Shop", Rajkamal Sqr., Amravati. When I reported once again to the Nokia Care they insist me to purchase a new battery. Ok. I have purchased due to my inconvenience, but still the new battery they sold me with the same problem of not charging properly. When the next day of purchasing I reported them regarding the problem, they replied very rudely and asked me to keep it for repairing.

When I asked them to make complaint regarding this uncultured behavior they were agree to make it replaced with new battery.

Very shameful experience by any uncultured dealer.

If your are really very serious about your customer services please do take interest to get feedback of your authorized dealers and Nokia Care Centre proprietors, specifically from Dist. Amravati State : Maharashtra.

I want to make a complaint of such worst treating customer care centre from Amravati who Rudely handles the problem of customers and uses worst and uncultured words for the customers after the purchase of Nokia handsets.

Please look into the matter otherwise many of the people thinking to put the matter into the court and media.

But Sir though I believe in your companies ethical policies I regret myself to do such without reporting you here.

Please do needful.

Hoping right actions against your Nokia Care Centre situated at Badnera Road, Near Rajapeth Police station , Dist. Amravati, State Maharashtra , India.

There is Switch ON/OFF problem occurred in my mobile (NOKIA 6020) in warranty period. I went to Nokia Service Center (South Extension, New Delhi) but didn't get service. The service center refused to provide service on ground of not having printed Bill Receipt. I have bill receipt of Nokia authorized shop.

What will I do?

I am from delhi fast moving city were when some body had a dream in night he made it done in a next day.i purchased nokia N-72 & N-73 two sets 4 months back and got problem of network dropping, connection error, sound, battery low i gave it to hcl nokia center at east patel nagar after 2 months of regular barking at that peoples they give me a hand set, and again it is not working properly... so peoples i request you to not to buy any of nokia phones as after spending 40 thousand to get a latest model i have bought a problem and facing it... can any one plz tell me how can i tackle them hard this is my 3rd experience with nokia.

I have lost my mobile on 20-06-2007 at Old Delhi Railway Station, my mobile model no. is 6600. I have complaint to Police Station. next morning I was visit to nokia care near M2K Rohini they have give the number to block my mobile to stop misusing by that mobile. I have called at that number but I am shocked when I came to know that the care center dont have any provision to stop misusing or to trace my lost mobile.

I bought the nokia 5500 and after a few months, the phone spoiled. It took 5 min to send a msg. took it to the shop, fixed. Happened again, and fixed. and inb between, the keypads peeled off. I superglued it and it peeled again and again and now it looks horrible. I deserve better and i want to know how to get the keypads fixed? If i were to change the cover completely how do i do that?

Nokia very bad quality. Last time I bought Nokia 6610 in Thailand ,within 6 month the plastic connector crack with normal use, when I go to check at Nokia care, they told me this is not under warranty. I must pay for this spare part. I wonder why Nokia use low quality material to product mobile phone.

List of Problems In Nokia3230:

1. Phone hangs; Hanging can be anytime, while talking on phone or reading a message, or even if the phone is in standby mode. Hanging can come up anytime, anywhere.

2. Restarting of the phone.

3. Display Dims off; The display of the phone starts getting dim, even while pressing any keys the light doesn’t turn on and the phone hangs and needs to be restarted by taking off the battery.

4. No vibrating Alert for messages. While the phone is in silent profile and the vibrator is on but when a message is received only light blinks but there is no vibration.

5. Error messages; An error message Error: General System Error appears while calling or while playing any ring tone.

6. Handset gets automatically switch off.

7. Battery not functioning properly;As the phone is having this hanging and restarting problem so when the phone restarts or is restarted after hanging the battery drops down. Eg: if the battery is completely charged and the bars are appearing full but when the phone restarts the battery bars suddenly drops down to one or two bars.

8. Keypad not working; Sometimes while dialing a phone number some keys don’t display the number, which they are representing on, they key pad.

9. Miss call options not available;If there is a miss call and needs to be checked, while checking the miss calls detail the buttons which should be appear on the screen are OPTIONS and Exit but only EXIT is seen. Options cant be accessed.

10. Processing of the phone has become very slow even if the memory card is not loaded.

11. No memory card is compatible with the handset.

I bought Nokia N73 ME on 20th may this year. My head phone was defected right from the first day. Gave to nokia care (dexter's lab rohini delhi) on 29th may. Was given 6 due dates since then, but still haven't got my headphone. People out there are highly unprofessional and casual. Wrote a letter to nokia care also. as usual no response. Can some1 please tell me where i go? Who do i complain to? I'm totally frustrated and disgusted by this behavior.

I have purchased nokia n-70 music edition just 2 months back and this set is troubling since starting. It hangs refuses to boot and is so damn slow, pathetic model. I always buy nokia handsets but this time i feel let down by nokia product. Since i am in the army posted in mumbai i will go to lower parel nokia care and seek new phone replacement immediately. In the army we are taught no delays anyway so either they will give me replacement or their shop will break, its their choice. You all are invited on 23 jul 2007 for demo there. Thanks!

I have buy a nokia 3250 handset from sidhant telecom form jalandhar on dated 16-3-07. I have faced problem of camera, bluetooth and mobile gets hang every moment from the day i bought this handset. No dealer in the jalandhar has replaced this set yet it is new set. Then it is given to authorized service center and after one month they return me changed set and it was more defected then previous.

I have Mobile handset of Nokia 6233. Back 22 Sept. 06 i purchased. I have the problem in handset i.e. sim card is in the handset thereafter handset shows that sim card registration failed, after that the message is no sim card inserted. 7 times i give my handset to repair at Nokia Head office, Parel. They just said that i am in warranty, they just repaired, i get handset & after 2 or 3 days i get same problem. This problem is repeating 7 times, but still company did not take decision to replace. After purchasing i use handset only 6 months after that handset mostly in service center. Now again i give handset to Nokia Dombivli Service Center. What can i do? Can i get a solution?

OMG! I knew I couldn't be the only one who was receiving such atrocious service from Nokia-Don't-Care but I thought I'd find an Australian site. I'm disturbed to see that it's a world-wide problem! How can Nokia open service centers where they train all their people to be really bad in customer service? That's it! My 6180 has just "gone" again and I've been too stressed from my last experience to take it to Nokia-Don't-Care. Now it's out of warranty I'm going to hold on until I can purchase a new model - anything BUT a Nokia. Any suggestions people? I need a business phone with simple operation and not too many fancy functions: I'm a technophobe.

I purchased nokia mobil set model no.3230 on 26th-May-07.

Hv found their loudspeaker very slow and submitted in Nokia care Distict centre Janak puri ( Global Communication) for repair 1st time. Then the delivered my set on 4th-Aug-07 un repaired, After that I hv found one more problem that Display back light is very low then I hv resubmitted in same above place and they hv confirmed to take my set on dt.16th-Aug-07, I called them and for my set status then they told me to take set on 20th-Aug-07 due to too much rush for battery problem in nokia set. After that i called them and they told me that my set is returned from head office with remarks that IC TEMPERED and was saying this set is opened in another place, After this remarks I was shocked how its happened, Becuase both time this set is opened by NOKIA CARE ( Janak puri centre). And mainly the thing is that if my set is opened in other place so why have accepted my set and will deliver after 15 days. It means in my set janakpur centre has done some wrong way.

Now this set is with me but in Garbage position ( Not working) This is the performance of Nokia reputed company.

Now I am planning to go Consumer Court to solve my problem.

I bought Nokia handset monel no.3230 ( IMEI : [protected]) On dt.26th-May-2007. I hv found my loudspeaker very slow. And hv given my set for repair on dt.23rd-July-07 at NOKIA CARE Janak puri for repair. They have accepted my handset as it is in warranty. After 12 days they have given my handset on 4th-Aug-07 in un-repaired condition and was saying that it is now under warranty. I hv asked this point from them that If your job sheet is showing my set is under warranty so how come you can say that this set is not under warranty, Then they replied me their head office was given this remarks. I hv taken my set and return home but after one hour I have noticed that my set was automatically off then display has gone. On 4th-Agu-07 was saturday then I hv decided to give again this to NOKIA CARE to clear my another display problem, They I hv given my set on 6th-Aug-07 at same centre.

Again they have accepted my handset and made the JOB Sheet with showing set is in warranty, Now again after 15 days I went there for my set, Again they have returned my set with remarks that ( IC tempered) and this set has opened in outside.

I am sure that my handset has been totally garbage and its done by nokia care centre.

Now I am asking for replacement of my set and sent them a notice.

If I will not receive any proper response then I will go to consumer court to solve my this problem

SUB: NOTICE OF CASE TO BE FILED IN THE CONSUMER COURT FOR CAUSING GROSS HARRASSMENT TO THE CONSUMER CAUSING IMMENSE MENTAL AGONY AGAINST JOB SHEET NO. 15667 DT. 28/07/2005
KIND ATTENTION: NOKIA

I being a consumer of Nokia brand mobile handset, MODEL NO 5100 would like to draw your attention to the following harrowing experiences that I had to go through till date. The facts of the case are as under:

1. That I had purchased a Nokia brand mobile handset model no. 5100 from M/S. Chidambaram and Co., Narsipatnam, on 27/04/2004 Bill No. 424 price: Rs.12,000/- only; With a 2years extended warranty and Insurance Coverage from National Insurance Company Ltd., HCL-Safeguard Insurance Scheme S / A No. 280450.

2. That after the expiry of the one year warranty period and the 2nd year extended warranty came into effect. Than, on 27/07/2005 phone started giving a minor problem of restarting/rebooting and not showing the network signal, than I took the mobile to the Nokia Care Centre on 28/07/2005 and a job sheet No.15667 Dt.28/07/2005 was made and were promised that within 10 days we can come and take the phone back, and also mentioned that the problem with mobile phone will be treated and solved warranty;

3. After 10 days when I went to the centre I was informed that the phone has some hardware problem so it has been sent to the central office for repairs which will take around 7 days more. And now this time I sent my brother to the centre to collect the phone and they postponed for 10 days more. Today even after passing of 2 years and more till date the handset has not been delivered to me;

4. After this I along with my father have visited the centre more than 5 times. And One day I came to know that they closed their Centre and sifted to Vijayawada (even this centre at vizag is a subsidiary run on vijayawada’s branch name only). The telephone numbers provided on the job sheet are more or less of no use as on one line [protected], 2728788 this number does not exist. I have also tried the alternative Vijayawada numbers 5544575, 2575611 given on the job sheet and they never replied properly nor showed interest in giving back my phone. I have at least tried these numbers at least a 100’s OF- TIMES in the last 2 years;

5.After this finally I approached CORE Centre and logged complaint on 14/02/2007, Complaint ID : 19188,Later I was given a New Complaint ID: 4690/6/2007. Now I started getting Calls from the Nokia and then the Real Problem Started and I came to know some Facts form them.

6.On 03-08-2007 I received a call from one Mr. Mohan (Mobile Number: [protected]) from Vijayawada Nokia Care Centre, I do not understand what was his problem, Mr. Mohan Started Arguing on the complaint and he wants to prove himself correct after these 2 years Period, and I was in Embarrassed the way he approached me and put me into more Agony and Pain.

7.Again on 08-08-2007 I Received Call Again from Mr. Mohan, Vijayawada. He confirmed that The Phone Which I Gave for servicing was not available and could not be traced, so he offered me a replacement option, with a new Phone of my Choice. I don’t know whether this offer could wipe-off my 2 years of Agony. Since there was an offer from Nokia’s side as a soothing gesture, I asked for a Nokia N95 Phone to be comfortable with, after all these Painful years.

8.Again on11-08-2007 I received a call from Mr. Sridhar (Mobile Number [protected]) saying that he was asked to give me an mobile phone costing below Rs.5000/- from his Nokia office at Vijayawada, and I was shocked to find that I was being given some other handset which means a very Lower-End Phone, If that was so, you should not have developed expectations for me that you are finding out a solution to my situation, through Mr. Mohan, and this is what i am left with was, for leaving my Mobile Phone of cost Rs. 12000/- at Nokia Care Center for repair, it took 2 years to confirm me that they LOST my Mobile, keeping all this in mind I made the choice but finally “PAIN” was what i am left with. And I refused to accept the handset and demanded my original mobile back with compensation or Nokia N95 Phone, after all these Painful years.

9.Again on 13-08-2007 I received a call form Nokia Bangalore the number is [protected], The same issue has been repeated trying to convince me with a Phone worth of Rs.5000/- for My Phone Worth Rs.12000/-, then, NOKIA Customer Care People Least bothered to take care of my Phone. And now trying to suppress the issue with this Mere Proposal. And it is like nokia is taking to people with Dual Tongues, proposing one thing and acting towards a Different thing. Nokia People Offered me a N-Series Phone and now offering a Lower end Phone that too after these much of Years. At that time my phone was one of the higher end models from nokia

10.And Finally on 14-08-2007 Nokia has declared on the CORE Centre Web Page saying that [ Closed 7-Aug-07 Swap arranged , informed customer , he shall come n pick as per his convenience.]

11. And Finally I demanded my original mobile back with compensation or Nokia N95 Phone to be comfortable with, after all these Painful years.

12. I find it very strange that. During my several visits to your centre I was really surprised to find a majority of your customers fighting with you for their instruments, there were some who were waiting for more than three years and some who have got the mobile repaired but the problem was repeatedly recurring.

By this NOTICE I would like to ask you at HCL INFINET and at NOKIA;

1.Why you at the company and the concerned staff should not be made to compensate the consumer for causing immense hardships, gross harassment, wastage of precious time, making the consumer suffer for such a long period without the availability of any mobile instrument?

2. Why no addresses or numbers of the concerned higher authorities was provided even after repeated requests? May be the staff wants to hide their shortcomings from the senior management;

3. Why the companies are giving so much advertisement for their products when they do not have the time and infrastructure to provide the services for their products and making their consumers pay for all the harassment being meted out to them? I have decided not to buy any NOKIA product in the future and have got a new MOTOROLA instrument only a fortnight ago.

4. Why have I been made to call up Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, for around HOURS, which costs a lot and you sitting at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam like Bosses did not have the courtesy to even give one call to the consumer?

You are given a seven days time from the date of this notice to give a detailed and satisfactory reply otherwise I will move the consumer courts in Visakhapatnam. This is a final and legal notice in the matter.

I have a 6270 handset which bought in June 2006, there were some problems, for which I approached service center, and they told that they need at least 15 days to analyze the problem, but they can't provide a standby. I told them to update the software at least, they told it will take 3 days, but when why don't you write the expected delivery date after 3 days, they didn't agreed they wrote the same day as expected delivery date, finally it take a week to update the software which would have taken 15mins of time I would have downloaded the same from website.

In June 2007 my warranty exhausted and all of a sudden there started a hell lot of problems, now my phone is not working properly, so when I approached Nokia Service Center Foneworld, 133/134, Gokul Shopping Center, SV Road, Borivali (W), they issued a job sheet (Job Sheet No. [protected]/070825/2 dt 25/08/2007), with expected delivery date 25/Aug/2007, they told me it'll take 3 days, when I asked why don't you mention the expected delivery date 28/Aug/2007 then, they told they won't be doing that. When I checked the status of the job sheet on web on 31/08/2007 the status showed unprepared-closed, still they charged Rs.850 for the same, after 2 days again the same problem, and they are not providing a proper solution, not mentioning what they have done for the solution, nor do they provide a stand by.

Nokia India is just ensuring that they do provide a product which should work properly until the warranty exhausts, so that they and their franchises can make money after the limited warranty period.

I recently bought a nokia handset 3110 classic. Its automatic fm tuning was not working, moreover even on inserting headset sometimes the mobile was not detecting it. The 1,3 MP camera is very bad giving dizzy pictures. Other cell phone like sony with 1.3 MP gave a much clear picture. I am totally upset with nokia. The mobile set was not up to its standard...

I am Anil Kumar I brought a handset Model -2255 CDMA ON 20.02.2007 . But after three months its get faulted.Handset shows SEARCHING FOR NETWORK on its screen.
1.Set sent to Nokia Care for repairing on dt.20.05.2007through DEXTER'S DIGITAL LAB ROHINI Sec- 3 Delhi.
set given to me on dt.30.06.2007 after swaping with a exchange note (Job No. DL-0412809 dt.07.06.2007 )having Model No. & ESN No. of Original & exchange unit ISSUED BY Bright Point Delhi.The RSN No. is not given for the same .Due to this activation of Handset is not possible by Relience.
2.The set is again returned to Nokia Care at Dexter's Digital Lab for activation .They sent it for repairing against Job Sheet No.3267 on dt. 14.07.2007
Set came back and again RSN No. is not given for the same .Due to this activation of Handset is not possible by Relience.

They unable to activate this set after sending 3 Times for repairing to Bright Point Delhi. Now They will give me a lined answer that they can not recieve RSN No. after informing to the head office.
I will contact at your Banglore Office but they could not give me RSN No. after requesting many times. I will further talk to your Regional Mgr. North Zone at Gurgoan Office but he could not give me the satisfiy answer .He is also said me that he can't do something for me and unable to provide me the RSN No.

AFTER WAITING FOR A LONG PERIOD APPOX. 4 MONTH I PAID ITS RENTAL .NOW YOU TELL ME MAY I GO TO THE CONSUMER FORM OR YOU MAY HELP ME
