Basically, all the "winner" to do is to pay the outrages carrier fee (mentioned below the name of each carrier listed above) in advance, and then, per my opinion, receive nothing, or an invalid cheque at the most.
The story continues with receiving a "Certificate of guarantee", with David Bowen's name in the bottom (please find attached!).
This is a TOTAL scam, and I am more than surprized that a comny by the size and renomee, that Nokia has, does nothing about it!

i am from a caribbean country called Grenada and i too have received information just like this, i was told that i should pay an amount for the check to be shipped to me, i thought it was ridiculous high and was sceptical about the whole thing, they bargained with me and told me i could pay half now and then the other half upon delivery. i was employed in a company where sales was involved and i can tell for a fact that these people are not legit, firstly they don't speak proper english as they should be, they are not sure of the information they are disseminating as though it was given to them by the fraud company they are working for and are not smart enough to understand what they are saying. when you inform them that this is a scam they will either say that google is putting wrong information on their website so that you will not receive your claim or if they think you are on to them they will hang up, get more info from their supervisors and until you pay them the shipping fee so they themselves would get paid. they also rely on you calling them so that they can receive pay by having a small income towards the increase i your phone bill. do not call them or if you do, don't stay long on the phone with them. you smart trick like telling them you don't have credit on your phone or just hang up in the middle of the conversation; if it is an agent who wants to get your shipment money, they will definitely call back. try calling the fraud agency in your country and let them track the call received on your phone or let them bug your phone so when they call you back you can get their exact location to help stop this scam. this is a total scam and people should not be doing this to you, when you think of the offer they are giving you, it is too good to be true and you get false hope and start to think of how life changing the money would be for you. but don't let this bring you down, God will make a way for you to get though whatever troubles or financial situations you are in right now. and the people who actual work for these fraud companies are in need or the saviour, cause i still cannot understand how one can sleep at night knowing that they are giving people false hope and are taking what little money he or she has. May God be with their souls, they will in one way or the other pay the price for their lies and treachery. if they are not caught something will happen to them cause there are consequences to wrongs that we do and they will fall on us sooner or later. so be of good faith my friends no evil goes on without receiving justice.

I received an SMS from +[protected] on 29/8/09 at 19:13 Hrs Eaast African time, indicating that my number has won 300, 000 pounds in the ongoing NOKIA UK PROMOTIONS. They asked me to send e-mail to nokia_ukclaims@hotmail.com or call +[protected].
I created a new yahoo address with fake details just to see how far these cruked chaps want to take this thing. Now they are asking for personal details. Is there any solution that Nokia in liaison with service providers and governments can do to track down on internet froudstars using these communication platforms?
Many people continue to be ripped off and families suffer great losses and lives also lost due to misuse of these services. I think you have a moral responsibility to develop functionalities and collaborations that can effectively deal with the challenege. I honestly believe you can do it.

i am from a caribbean country called Grenada and i too have received information just like this, i was told that i should pay an amount for the check to be shipped to me, i thought it was ridiculous high and was sceptical about the whole thing, they bargained with me and told me i could pay half now and then the other half upon delivery. i was employed in a company where sales was involved and i can tell for a fact that these people are not legit, firstly they don't speak proper english as they should be, they are not sure of the information they are disseminating as though it was given to them by the fraud company they are working for and are not smart enough to understand what they are saying. when you inform them that this is a scam they will either say that google is putting wrong information on their website so that you will not receive your claim or if they think you are on to them they will hang up, get more info from their supervisors and until you pay them the shipping fee so they themselves would get paid. they also rely on you calling them so that they can receive pay by having a small income towards the increase i your phone bill. do not call them or if you do, don't stay long on the phone with them. you smart trick like telling them you don't have credit on your phone or just hang up in the middle of the conversation; if it is an agent who wants to get your shipment money, they will definitely call back. try calling the fraud agency in your country and let them track the call received on your phone or let them bug your phone so when they call you back you can get their exact location to help stop this scam. this is a total scam and people should not be doing this to you, when you think of the offer they are giving you, it is too good to be true and you get false hope and start to think of how life changing the money would be for you. but don't let this bring you down, God will make a way for you to get though whatever troubles or financial situations you are in right now. and the people who actual work for these fraud companies are in need or the saviour, cause i still cannot understand how one can sleep at night knowing that they are giving people false hope and are taking what little money he or she has. May God be with their souls, they will in one way or the other pay the price for their lies and treachery. if they are not caught something will happen to them cause there are consequences to wrongs that we do and they will fall on us sooner or later. so be of good faith my friends no evil goes on without receiving justice.
i also so receive the same mail that i won 300 three thousand pound i believe it is scam.
