Nuts.com Unreliable Shipping Company Ruins Otherwise Good Experience with Nuts.com

I've been ordering from Nuts.com for years now and for the most part, I've had a pretty good experience. Whenever I place an order, it usually arrives the very next day. Sometimes, I order a lot of stuff and it comes in multiple boxes, but that's never been a problem because they always arrive together and on time. However, recently they switched from using FedEx to this other company called CDL and it's been a nightmare.

The drivers that work for CDL are sketchy at best. They drive around in unmarked vans, blasting rap music, and they don't seem to care about handling your packages with care. I've had a few orders delivered by these guys and while they were unprofessional, I didn't really care because my orders were still arriving on time.

But this last time, I ordered two boxes of nuts and only one of them arrived. The missing box contained $90 worth of nuts, so I was pretty upset. I'm not sure if the CDL driver lost it or stole it, but either way, it's gone. I had to file a payment dispute and contact their customer service, who didn't seem to be very helpful. They just said they would "look into it" and that was it.

Now, I'm out almost $100 and I'm really stressed out about it. I don't have a lot of free time, so dealing with this has been a huge inconvenience. I wish Nuts.com had stuck with FedEx or found a more reliable shipping company. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again anytime soon. There are plenty of other places to buy nuts online, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Nuts.com Nuts.com's Refund Policy is a Scam: My Experience with Inedible Cashews

I recently bought 5 pounds of "lightly salted" cashews from Nuts.com and I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with what I received. The bag was a mix of fresh, rancid, and broken nuts from all over the world. I reached out to their customer service and told them that the cashews were inedible. The representative said I'd get a refund and told me to toss the nuts in the garbage, which I did. But when I checked my AMEX card, no refund had been issued. So I contacted the company again and was told that I'd only get a "store credit". I told them I didn't want to order anything else from them after my experience with the "bad" cashews, but they still didn't issue a refund.

I ended up calling AMEX to dispute the charge and they gave me a credit. But then AMEX contacted the company and after 30 days, I was told that I was at fault for the transaction (at fault for what?) and AMEX reversed the original credit to me. I reopened the dispute because I don't think it's fair that Nuts.com can give me store credit and force me to buy something from their website that I don't want. Why should they get to keep my money when I don't want to do any further business with them?

Their current policy is to suspend all returns and refunds at this time, which leaves the customer in a tough spot. What's even more surprising is that AMEX is siding with Nuts.com and allowing them to hold my money hostage. I consider this plain theft and I'm not going to give up until I get the refund I'm entitled to. I want my money back so I can order from a company that has a better product and better customer service.

Nuts.com Unethical and Shady: My Experience with Nuts.com's Lack of Transparency and Customer Service

So, I was looking for some dates to make a raw vegan cake and I decided to order 12 lbs from Nuts.com. I checked their website but they didn't say if the dates were steamed or pasteurized, so I thought they were raw. Just to be safe, I called the company before they shipped my order to confirm. But guess what? They didn't have an answer for me. I mean, come on, how hard can it be to know if your own products are raw or not? Anyway, they didn't get back to me at all, not even by phone or email. So, I had to reach out to them via Facebook and still no answer. I was starting to get frustrated. Finally, I called them again and they told me they needed more time to hear from the vendor. They said they would reply by evening but they never did. So, I called them again the next day and the phone rep told me that the dates were steamed after all. I was so disappointed. They said they would requisition the order from FedEx to be shipped back, but they refused to refund me until they got the product back. I mean, seriously? It's their fault for taking so many days to give me an answer that I had to pull out of them. I never even had the product in my possession. I was so frustrated that I called FedEx myself and it turns out that Nuts.com never even contacted them to send back the package. I had to request FedEx to do it.

Today, I received a message from Nuts.com via Facebook and they said they either didn't have that info or that it was proprietary and they don't comment on whether their products are steamed or not. What a load of nonsense! They were too lazy, liars, and didn't want to give me the info because they're a shady unethical company that isn't transparent about their product. They don't care about their customers' needs at all. They just want to make a quick buck. They even have a section on raw foodism and why people do it, making me think they actually care. But they don't. It's all just a smoke screen for the truth. They don't care about their customers at all. Don't do business with this company. They will steal your money and give you sub-par products and purposely lie about it.
