Pointless; use the website
As a celebration for us moving to a bigger home, we thought to celebrate with Olive Garden. Since the virus is still going, we tried the app for the first time.
We couldn’t find our usual orders. What we did order — like breadsticks — was “out of stock” (they weren’t), it changed my husband’s order to a kid’s version for whatever reason, and then it refused to submit the order until the breadsticks were removed. I removed them; it repeated the error. Nothing made the error go away. I couldn’t order.
By the time I gave up, we had pulled up to pick up our order that didn’t exist. Someone cheerfully came out and took our order, but it was miserable with all of us stuffed into a car while we waited.
The saddest part is that the app even warned us we may want to use the website to order, and we didn’t. Lesson learned!
Needs to be fixed
UPDATE: 2/8 You can read the review below. I'm changing from one star to five stars. The developers listened and now it's working great.
OLD REVIEW: I've used this app in the past and it's worked fine. I would normally have given it 4-5 stars because it did what it was supposed to without being anything special. However, I tried to order tonight and before it will let me put anything in my cart, it says the name and phone number is missing. So I look at my profile and everything is there. So I think maybe add a space or something and it will somehow pick it up; but it returns an unavailable error. So, it's basically a phone book and menu, because that's all it can do. If I have to call to order carry-out I can just use the Yelp app and it would be faster.
Either fix it or eliminate it because apps that don't work are worse than none at all.
The Waitlist feature is a joke
I joined the virtual waitlist which said my wait time was 30-35 minutes. So we waited and arrived at the restaurant on time and the app sent us a message saying that our check in time had arrived and they would hold our spot. We walked in the restaurant and the hostess told us we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes. She then told me that the waitlist feature only holds your spot in line. It doesn't mean that you get seated when your time arrives and that you still have to wait at the restaurant when you get there. I then overheard her tell someone who just walked into the restaurant that the wait time was 30 minutes. So basically I waited an hour (30 min virtual & 30 minutes in person) and another person who walked into the restaurant at the same time as me and had their name put onto the physical waitlist only had to wait 30 minutes. Ridiculous.
Call-ahead seating is not the same as a reservation. Call-ahead does indeed hold your spot in line. Wait times are always an estimate, as the restaurant can never be sure how quickly someone will vacate their table. Sometimes people immediately leave after paying, and other times, they will sit, let their food digest and socialize with the others at their table. The restaurant cannot tell those "campers" to leave, not without risking a huge scene and those diners vowing never to return. It's a tough spot for restaurants to be in. You can please some of your customers some of the time, but you cannot please all your customers all of the time.
Regarding the wait time, again, tables are fickle, some may linger and some may all of sudden pay and leave immediately. Wait times can greatly vary from one minute to the next and that is exactly what you experienced.
Hostess is terrible at treating people
We stopped by to eat at Olive Garden in Augusta today and don’t recommend it. They told us we were going to be a 15 minute wait and fine, so we sat and two people came in after us and than three more people came in and while waiting they sat the ones that came before us. Than it our turn and the hostess told us it was going to be five to ten minutes before we could be seated because our waitress had been double booked but continued to set the two who came in after us and than proceeded to go to seat the three that came in after us and asked the hostess why we weren’t being seated and they proceeded to tell them the same hogwash that they gave us. Hadn’t been there in two years and will not go back to the one in Augusta, wouldn’t want to overwhelm the waitress. Guess they have to much business but that is okay service at Longhorn was great, we didn’t overwhelm our waitress
Nice app. Could have nicer, modern UI
UPDATE:
So I closed & restarted the app, i.e. cleared it from the app switcher. Then the Order To Go worked and I placed my order. So it does work after all. It's a nice app but I think it could be made nicer and more intuitively. I'd like way more pictures, and the ability to zoom into pictures. Also, integrate more swiping gestures to navigate between pages.
Oh and add ability to pay with Apple Pay!
----
Downloaded on April 07. Wanted to order on my iPhone 6s and pickup. Went through the process. My selected location says it has Order To Go available. Got to the end to place the order. But an error wouldn't let me make the order "Unable to process the request at this time. Please try again later."
Tried multiple times; couldn't get it to place the order. I'm more technical savvy than the average person. So it's not seemingly user error. Disappointed. I'll be deleting the app. Eating somewhere else.
App is losing OG business
I love ordering online and I love Olive Garden. However, this new app is losing business for Olive Garden, and I'll tell you why. Everything about the app works well, with the exception of the pick up time. If I call OG and place an order I can pick it up in 20 minutes, if I order with the OG app it gives me a pick up time in the neighborhood of 40 minutes to one hour. There is an Applebee's almost next-door to Olive Garden. With their app I can pick up the order in 15 minutes. As a result, I tend to order from Applebee's instead. I think OG should take another look at their app and make the pick up times the same as when you call in an order.
This is an update to a previous review. This does everything well except checkout. I have tried at least 10 different times. At first it wouldn't take my card, so I paid at the restaurant. Now it doesn't even work for that. I just have to call them; like in 1950's. Come on folks get it together.
Bugs
In cart, the quantity isn’t shown. Even though the two items I added would be around 19, I apparently added another by mistake and though it still said two items the price had counted up. Looked at both items and no quantity. When I hit save again in the item and it brought me back to cart the price went up again but still only said two items. Yes, it is two items but one of them was on there three times but nowhere was that indicated.
There is a clear option which probably works but I went into the item again to count the quantity down. When I take it from one to zero, the button properly updates from Add to Remove but then the Remove button does nothing.
App is a bit buggy. Could use some improvement. I’m guessing if I play around with it some more I can work around these issues but I wanted to report them here. Hope the devs see this and have a WA Team that can validate this based on my description (I work for a software company on the dev team).
Consistently disappointing
The app works alright UNLESS you want to use one of their online offers. I had problems on Cyber Monday and again today. It takes away the discount as soon as you submit your order and you get to pay full price at the restaurant. I tried to pay online to avoid this on the second go around, only it wouldn’t accept my payment! It said my card was “insufficient to cover the tax”. What? I tried different cards, it all said the same thing. I had a gift card applied, I tried to just pay the rest at the restaurant, it wouldn’t let me proceed. The only option not ghosted was the “Add credit card”, which it would not accept any. I took off my gift card, so I could pay at the restaurant, took pictures of all the screen shots in case I ran into trouble again. Sure enough, when I got my confirmation, discount gone. Confirmation email, no sign of discount. So over it. Something that is supposed to be a sales-inducing convenience is nothing more than a frustrating hassle followed by disappointment.
Something missing
Under all the stress everyone is going through today and now coming out to a new normal, curb side is great. However living 45 minutes from the nearest OG is a little daunting when they don’t get the order right. The last 2 times I have ordered and picked up they have missed something whether the extra meatballs or the angel hair pasta instead of fettuccine, is no matter. I call and am told that we’ll take care of you, our manager will send you a gift certificate to your email. Well, no surprise, there’s never an email and never a gift certificate to at least pay for the things that I have already paid for and never received in my orders. I love OG it’s my go to place for Italian food I just ask you follow through with checking to make sure our orders are correct and fulfill the promise of correcting your mistake and not with just hot air. I have spent my money on this and expect to get everything that I paid for. Other than that food is always good and service is always great. Thank you for getting it right most of the time.
Good food except too much salt and offensive service
Had 3 different entrees and they were well prepared: not overcooked, not much greasy and actually quite tasteful, EXCEPT everything was so salty that we literally had to scrub off a quarter of a teaspoonful of salt from the bread. It’s quite unhealthy.
We mentioned it to the wait staff but he just turned away without saying anything. It was hard to get his attention to get some paper napkins and more hot water, so we had to ask other staff passing by. Yet he started coming around towards the end and collected the 20% tip anyway.
We ended up eating only one third of the food and brought five little boxes of leftovers. My wife will “re-cook” them to make them edible. Waste of money and huge disappointment.
We always liked the Olive Gardens for the authenticity of the Italian dishes but eating at this particular Olive Gardens in Elk Grove was a big disappointment. I don’t know what is wrong with them but we will probably stay away from this place until I read some good reviews about them. We will not recommend this place to anyone.
Issues with reservations
I moved rating up to 2 stars since Olive Garden reached out on issue. I can’t justify more since I haven’t had it work successfully.
I used the app a second time on 10/18 at a different location and noticed the screen where you click submit for the reservation was not updating the place in line. I put app on primary screen and it does update there. There is a notice on one screen to let the host know when you arrive, but it is not indicated on main screen that I was watching. Luckily the hostess noticed us after we were loitering about 15 minutes and seated us next. I believe you stay in “next” status until you arrive - very unclear how this is intended to save time. After 2 visits using app, I feel this service just causes extra delay to be seated.
***original review 10/11 ***Don’t trust it for reservations
Received notification of no wait and to enter restaurant and give my name to the host to be seated. Needless to say I’m sitting outside with a buzzer because there is no room in the waiting area inside. Most worthless app ever
Frustrating!
This app could be good but it’s slow and frustrating! When you add an item there is a banner that says “Added!” and drops down from the top of the screen but never goes away. So if you’re ready to check out you need to tap on the “bag” icon on the top right corner of the screen, you simply can’t because the banner is still there from 10 minutes ago, covers it up so you’re never able to access the cart until you shut down the app and log in again. There is a “bag” icon at the bottom and one at the top right of the screen, same icon yet they have different purposes, bottom icon takes you to the menu, top/right icon takes you to the cart to check out. That’s very confusing and since the app is slow, you just can’t afford to waste any time trying to figure out how to pay. Also I added an item that didn’t show up in the order at the end, I guess the app didn’t register it.
This app needs a lot of work. It took me about 20 minutes to order food with the app, but would have been a lot faster if I had just called to order. Having this app defeats the purpose of convenience. Slow, not intuitive, have I mentioned how SLOW it is?
Olympia wa Olive Garden
Went for a special occasion. Servers in the bar not helping each other so service was chaotic and “24 hour” style. Fast stops with no time for guest to answer the servers question before they walk off. Zero teamwork. Manager paying attention to to go orders and not the flow of the floor. Cold food, server advised but we had to specifically ask for reheat/replacement. The vegetables never came even well after we were finished eating our entrees. No pre bussing so we sat with dirty plates. No offer of dessert, again this was a special occasion so we wanted dessert. Ended up paying and leaving with full dirty table like the other guests around us. Servers need training, teamwork and leadership who knows how to see customers who are not getting appropriate service. We have been in 4 times this month, every time it’s not met the mark. Bring back Stacey or Michael who were phenomenal servers. Today was not a staffing issue, there were staff standing around. My advice, if you are going to pay $18 to $23 an entree go to a nicer Italian restaurant. Spaghetti Factory well exceeds this Olive Garden experience and is a way better guest value.
Gift cards disappeared (UPDATE)
A word of warning to people who load their gift cards into the app: once you surpass the unspoken limit on the number of cards you can preload onto the app, they ALL DISAPPEAR. I had over 10 cards on there. The app worked fantastically. Then one day, I went to load another one, and *POOFthey all vanished. Luckily, I still have the hard copies.
Email support wasn’t helpful. They basically asked me for the numbers of all the cards in my possession. I might as well reload them all into the app myself. Apparently there is no way to restore cards that have disappeared...
——————
UPDATE
So I logged into my OG account online using a full size computer. Sure enough, I had 8 cards listed there, but none of them had balances beside them. (Just to clarify, I’m not saying these were $0-balance cards. The vast majority of these cards did, indeed, have balances, but the amounts were all blank.) In tiny print below my list of cards, it reads that the “maximum number of cards allowed is 7.) So on a whim, I deleted one of the cards from my account. VIOLA! The balances on the remaining 7 cards appeared. They were also visible again in the app.
So it appears there is a glitch that hides all of your cards from the app if a user adds more than the 7 cards allowed. My suggestion is that the app put something in place to prevent users from adding more than 7 cards. It appears there’s a preventative mechanism on the full website, but not on the app (as I was able to add an 8th card, and that’s when my issues began).
A fantastic app otherwise.
Gift cards remain on account after use
I have the app installed on my phone and IPad. I ordered some food. The app on my phone said I had two $25 dollar gift cards. The app allowed the payment to proceed with the gift card. I got to the restaurant to pick up my order only to find that the gift card didn’t process on the restaurant’s end. I checked my phone, it processed fine. They checked their system and saw that the gift card was no longer valid. After paying cash, I came home and checked my iPad with the same app...there were no gift cards on my account, but showed different on my phone. Only after signing out and back in on my phone did the app update.
A few things:
1. No ability to combine gift cards with different balances. The gift cards only show the purchased amount. This would be a welcome fix
2. The app processes an order with a gift card that had little or no remaining funds...in my case, an old gift card that was used, but remained on my account. This app needs to be prevented from doing this.
3. The gift cards that are uploaded to a user account only shows the last 4 digits of the card number and the original card amount...no remaining balance and no way to check remaining balance without the full 16 digits. If I uploaded a gift card to my account, I should have full access to it on said account at anytime. You cannot click it or anything. This also needs to be addressed.
4. The app only updates the user account when logged out and in. I had different information on two devices and one account. Only when I logged out and on did both update. Again, needs to be fixed.
Do better, App Administrators.
Couldn’t complete the order!
It doesn’t even offer the option to pay cash when I got there, which is what I wanted to do. So I chose Paypal. Went to Paypal, chose the credit card I wanted it to use, completed that & it sent me back to the OG app. By then 5 min. had passed so the app notified me that me pickup time had changed to 5 min. later. I hit “ok”—& that pickup time popup disappeared & I was back on the payment page! It didn’t say completed—even tho I had a notification from Paypal of a $1 charge (which I know is just verification that the card is good). So I didn’t know if the payment was going to go thru, or if the order had gone thru. Since it didn’t say Order Completed, I hit the Paypal button again—& went thru the SAME. EXACT. PROCESS. Everything. Including the change of pickup time & a 2nd $1 charge from Paypal. Since the phones in the restaurant have never worked well, I WENT TO the restaurant to ask if they had my order. They didn’t. I had to redo the order in person. I hope the two $1 charges get reversed & there won’t be any others, but I have my receipt proving I paid in cash.
Oh! Also, I only got that far by signing in with Apple, because when I tried to sign in with Facebook, it kept insisting that I create a user name & password ALSO. I chose “sign in with fb” & it said “you’ve signed in with fb before” (on the site) & filled in my name & email. But the asterisked user name & password fields were still there! The whole point of signing in with fb is to not have to create another user name & pw! As soon as I changed my choice to signing in with Apple, the user name & pw fields were not on the next screen & I was able to proceed (to the next problem!).
I will be deleting the app & ordering via the site or the phone or in person from now on.
No compassion or common sense
I signed in to be on the wait list. I was #2 in line. Not big deal right...well I arrive and there is no parking. Why you might ask...because 1/2 the parking lot is devoted to “to go”. Only 1 spot was in use. This was clue number 1 that Olive Garden doesn’t want us there. Doesn’t quite feel like “treating you like family”. So I drive around back and park in the over flow area. There is a girl sitting in parking spot talking to a guy leaned on his car. They had to move so I could park. We walk in and let them know we are there. I sit down as my daughter finalized check in. We sit in lobby and an employee walks up and says it will actually be 30-35 minutes since we are a family of 5. He said this like it was a negative thing. I said okay it was fine to wait that long. I was a little annoyed but it was okay. He then explains due to social distancing I couldn’t wait in the lobby. The lobby - a huge area with practically no one in it. There was my family (5) him, and the hostess. The area is huge. We were no where near being less than 6’ apart. He expected myself, my husband, and my 3 kids to wait outside in Texas on a 100 degree day for 30-35 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. There was no one there. My husband did point out that one lady was being allowed to sit inside, but I didn’t know that before I left. So here’s my question
1. How does the app say I’m #2 in line and yet there’s people in/at cars all over the place?
2. Why can I not social distance in the lobby yet the tables would have been closer than what we were in the empty lobby. Plus the waitress would have been closer to me then what we were in the lobby
3. How is it safe to mandate people wait in their cars? What if ac doesn’t work? What if we would have been elderly or had an infant?
No Room for Special Requests
When it comes to ordering online or over the telephone, I always prefer online as there are less mistakes made in translation. However, first thing I wanted to order, I noticed was that there is no room to write anything in. Added it to my cart, and no room there either.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
⚠️ When one could just call their order in, online ordering should always be easier than making a phone call. And just as thorough.
Here is where this app could use some improvements:
✅ Let me customize anything; remove things AND add extra. Customizations for salad are available when ordering an entree, but I cannot move the button to extra, I can only remove the ingredient. Plus, I cannot customize a salad on its own-why allow me to customize the salad I get with a meal, but not a salad I order à la carte?
✅ I should be able to ask for extra or remove specific ingredients from every dish that comes with something more than just pasta and sauce. For example, Grilled Salmon comes with salmon, sauce, tomatoes, and capers. Using this app, I should be able to specify that I want extra sauce, no capers.
✅ I should be able to write-in requests. For every single menu item, AND maybe also during checkout too so I can request a cup of marinara, the cold items and hot items in separate bags, things like that. Like the Lasagna Fritta Appetizer, I should be able to type, even with a limited number of characters, that I’d like the Marinara on the side as dip, and not on top. (Per my other suggestions, I would also be able to uncheck the boxes:
Alfredo
Marinara
Special Instructions: Marinara ON SIDE pls?
Since I will be driving this home, and don’t want it to get soggy by the time I get there.)
✅ For an entree like Five Cheese Ziti al Forno, I am offered a ‘topping’ (such as 1 Meatball, 1 Sausage, Grilled Chicken, Sautéed Shrimp). Please allow me to add multiple toppings, such as chicken AND shrimp. Perhaps add a counter arrows, so I could get, say, 4 meatballs instead of only 1...
✅ I should ALWAYS be able to customize the type of pasta I want. Even something like the Fettuccine Alfredo dish that seemingly should come with fettuccine. If I was in the restaurant, I’d be able to choose this.
✅ For every meal that comes with a ‘Side’, allow me swap the side between all the sides currently available, even if there’s an up charge.
✅ New Menu Section Idea-Sides. (Let me order all available ‘Sides’ on their own.)
✅ New Menu Section Idea-Toppings. (For all of the sauces & toppings that can come with a meal, after the reasonable amount allotted for your actual order, OR if they don’t come with the meal you ordered but you still want them with your meal. Here you can order extra cups of Marinaras, Alfredo, Meatballs, Sausage, etc. And for Salads; Italian Dressing, Bottle of Italian Dressing, Packets of Cheese, Croutons.
✅ Extra Cheese option. For every menu item that has cheese on top: Chicken Parmesan, Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Margherita, etc.
✅ A, “Would you like Freshly Grated Parmesan on that?”, check box for every. menu. item.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Some of these things it seems like you’re already trying to do, but they’re not available for everything. Like, I can choose to keep or remove the peppers or onions from the Chicken Scampi dinner, but I cannot decide to remove the Asparagus or Tomatoes from the Shrimp Scampi dinner. I can substitute the side I get with the Chicken Margherita, but not the side that comes with Herb-Grilled Salmon. I can choose the type of pasta I want with Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, but not with the Seafood Alfredo. It’s really unfortunate, because for just one of these reasons, this app is useless to me, so I will be deleting it, just for now.
It’s not so much being particular as it is I like what I like (I don’t like angel hair pasta, I prefer sauces on the side so fried things don’t get soggy, & I want a little extra of my favorite toppings), which are just small requests that in-restaurant wouldn’t even be issues.
In conclusion, I will check out this app again in the future. It is a beautiful app design, though. Beauuuutiful.
Olive Garden Italian Kitchen Complaints 17
App is great on the off chance that it works
I have used this app before and when it works it’s great. It’s wonderful to be able to order while on the go. Other reviews are quite right that the app is sluggish and hard to navigate but it’s still great to order on the go when it decides to work. I spent 20 minutes tonight (not the first time I’ve done this) trying to order a to go order with the app. I continually got: “Sorry there’s been a problem completing your request. Please try again later.” I rebooted my phone and deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail. Olive Garden really needs to step up their game.

App fail
We had gone to Olive Garden in Middleburg Hts, assured by your app that there was no wait time. On arrival we were told there was at least 25-30 minutes wait. The waiting area was full with all seats occupied and eight people standing. We checked the app again while standing there, and it still showed no wait. Three other locations also showed zero wait time; I assume these were also wrong. We will no longer use your app as it is clearly so inaccurate as to be useless. There are many other restaurants in the area; we went to one of them instead. I doubt we will return to yours.

Very Poor User Interface
This is not a good app. I’ve known this for awhile, and worked around it by calling in orders instead. However, recently hold times have been so long I thought I’d give the app another shot. I instantly regretted that decision. The interface is unintuitive, and generally difficult to navigate. The animations are jerky, scrolling menus feel clunky, and many basic niceties of the iOS interface are missing. Some examples are: no credit card scanning, no Apple Pay, and I’m sure there are more. If Olive Garden wants people to order online, please re-make this app from the ground up.

Misleading
The app does not explain that you still have to check in at the restaurant in order to actually be on the wait list so that you could be alerted when a spot is available. We waited for 3 hours starting at number 13. We watched the number go down to 2 then the list went away. I called the restaurant and that’s when I was told I should have came into the restaurant to check in. I asked what was the point of the wait list and giving your phone number on the app and the hostess responded with “we have no control over the app”. Maybe the app developers and the restaurant should get together.

Slow and glitchy unrealistic pick up times
I have deleted this app before because I had issues getting it to work. I tried again and got the wheel of death. It’s been deleted for good. I finally gave up went online to order. I placed an order to go. When I showed up to pick up they said it would be an hour and 45 minutes till it was ready. How about letting me know when placing the order I would have gone elsewhere. The developers response of a busy Mother’s Day is fine what about other days? Why wasn’t a realistic pick up time returned? I enjoy Olive Garden food but will wait till restaurant reopens. The app is still not ready for a national audience.

Ridiculous wait times
Update:
After sending my story to Olive Garden like the developer asked me to do and explaining to them that I was charged $42 for the food I never received and cancelled curbside, they send me a $15 gift card lol. So I paid $42 for food I never got but Olive Garden was nice enough to send me a $15 gift card! Wonderful
Original problem:
App says 25 minute wait curbside. It’ll be ready at 5:43 so I place the order cus that’s 25 minutes away. When I get there there’s 100 people outside and they’re calling orders for 4pm. Everyone has been waiting for 2 hours. Yet the app still says 25 minute wait time at Salinas location

Rockwall Texas Olive Garden
Sunday my granddaughter was in from. California. So I brought her her Dad and his wife my daughter and her husband to the Rockwall Tx Olive Garden for an early Father’s Day before my granddaughter left. I had asked for Extra Alfredo, as did my son in law. Not only did we not get it the spaghetti was so cold and dry it was not edible. My sons mashed potatoes were so dry they closely resembled sand. My daughters dish was equally without enough marinara to make it edible. My granddaughters shrimp dish was also cold. The bill was $120.00 something and the only good thing was the waitress. But a good waitress is not worth over $120.00

Unbelievable
My wife and I ordered the Tour of Italy. My wifes order was a lot smaller then my plate. We asked our waitress about it and she took it back great. Then one minute late here comes the manager with the plate back. Yes the same plate she said she wanted to compare the size difference. My wife said really you wouldn’t take the customers word for it. The manager said she wanted to make sure she brought out the proper size to keep us happy. Are you kidding me never had this happen before not sure why she just wouldn’t believe the waitress or the customer. Also the waitress brought us hot plates to put our salad on. Not going here again.

San Luis Obispo
The male manager that was on the night of Jan 27 is a complete JERK! The day before I had bought 2 gallons of soup they were out of gallon containers so used quart instead and when they gave me only 3 quarts for each gallon I ask why not four and was told the three held a gallon but when I got home I measured it which was not true so went back the next day to get 2 more pints to make up the difference and the waitress confirmed what I said but the jerk manager all but called me a liar! Should mention I love O G soup and purchased 2 more gallon in the regular container to the tune of $53.83 so wasn’t like I was trying to cheat the jerk!

No good ToGo - App fails at main use-case
If wanting to view menu or make a reservation this app can be useful.
However if trying to place a “To Go” order you will spend a large amount of time (even as a repeat customer).
Need to deal with details like app not remembering selected location and defaulting to venue 30+ miles away.
If selecting a “special” with a list of menu choices, going to order page and over half of options disappear. It may be because location specific options; but why show non-options if I’ve already configured/selected a pickup location?
After two attempts of spending 15-20 minutes to try to place order; I’ve decided go in person; to go elsewhere for a meal, (more so the later).

Decent App except for payment method
The app is good but lacks the one thing that is important these days with social distancing.
There is no Apple Pay.
I pay using a credit card, but when I pick up the item in the parking lot, they still give me the receipts to sign! This is a very bad practice. I don’t want to touch the pen and pad and interact when touch-less payment is easily available.
Please stop this unnecessary signing receipt step or you may spread the virus and get sued.
—-Olive Garden responded which means they care! The restaurant where we have this issue of signing after paying with App is in the Denver West Village, Golden Colorado on Colfax. Thank you and please fix the issue.

Can't use saved gift cards to pay like the app says you can
Giving 1 star cause at least I was able to to get on the waitlist with the app. I have 3 gift cards saved on the app, totaling $100. I don't have the cards anymore cause the app says I can store and use my gift cards. Went with the family today to eat and was so embarrassed cause I couldn't use the gift cards. There is no way to redeem any of my stored gift cards. I had 2 waiters and 2 managers trying to figure out how to redeem. They said if I had the full number they could redeem, but the app doesn't show the number. I ended up paying cash that I couldn't afford to use at the time. Now I'm out $100. Thanks Olive Garden!
On a good note though. The food was excellent

Disappointed
Yesterday I made an order from Olive Garden on Lansing, IL. I ordered a catering pickup and when I arrived there one of the employees brought my stuff I asked if that was everything on the order and he said yes but it turns out we were missing the 1 gallon iced tea, 1 jumbo salad and the soda for the kids meal, we asked another employee and brought those missing things and I thought it was okay to forget some things that happens. When I arrived to my home it turns out we didn’t get the the 2 salad dressings, the croutons and the chocolates and I am like what just happened did they planned on just not give me anything or what, I spend a lot to get this kind of service. I have to say the pasta and the spaghetti were good.

Don’t bother making reservations with this place! They don’t honor them whatsoever! Have been here several times with reservations and waited 40min this time, 20min, and 15min another! The excuse is always people aren’t leaving. If they know they have a reservation especially a bigger party of more than 4 then they should keep the table free at least an hour before hand or so. Almost every place should do this! Then it takes forever to get refills of both soda and food when they have never ending going on. Terrible place! Especially for microwaved pasta, they really need to build a 2nd location in the area, our area is way too populated for only 1 establishment! They make more than enough money to open another location! Rockford,IL location

Wait list feature useless
Went to my local Olive Garden (Olathe KS) on Saturday and faced a 75 minute wait so didn’t eat there that time. Decided to download this app and use the Wait List feature on Monday night, had hopes it would be much better.
At 6pm joined wait list and the app said expected wait time 61-75 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant about 7:05pm as 12th place on the list. Checked in with the hostess and was informed wait time would be 60-70 minutes. I told her about the app and that we’d already waited 65 minutes but was told that everyone else waiting also had checked in on the app so we’d have to wait the full time. Left the restaurant and don’t plan to ever return.
Please tell me what is the point of the wait list in the app? It appears to have zero function whatsoever.

Stupid process
The app worked great. Stayed the wait time was 26-30 min. Awesome. I get on the wIt list, show up 25 minutes later, and...what do you know? It’s a 25 minute wait. Explanation from the staff is that the wait times on the app are inaccurate. What’s the point of an app if it’s ability to help you plan your evening is worthless. Their suggestion, call the location to get the wait time so you can decide whether it is reasonable to get on the wait list through the app. I’ve tried to get on the list by calling on the past and have been told you have to do it through the app. So. Or i have to call first to get accurate info, (but can’t get on the list by calling), and have to then go through the app to get in line. So a simple phone call or app process now requires two separate steps. Sweet!

Frustrating
I love Olive Garden but unfortunately this app doesn’t tell you when your food is ready and gives you a max time . For example the food is supposedly ready by a time that’s 35 min away. My food was supposed to be ready at 12:40. I came around that time since its usually busy and by that time when I picked my food up and went home to eat , my food was almost cold and my breadsticks and gotten hard. It’s pretty disappointing and the last I want to do is reheat my food when I just got it. This app would be nicer if you were told when it was ready . When people get their food to go usually it’s for a lunch break and no one wants this experience after waiting. — I’ve seen people have commented on the waitlist being useless and it being a longer wait time then the time listed. The inaccuracy of this app needs to be fixed
