Omron does not provide product support or service - AVOID!
After 18 months of routine use of Omron's wristband BP monitor, the silicone rubber-based wristband has started to develop a crack and is in need of replacement. Upon calling Omron, I find out that they do no provide replacement parts or service for their products. How can a company not provide product support and service? Anyway, I'm now out $600 for this unit and will have to find another way to get it repaired or get an entirely different unit.
Recommendation: My Advice: Don't purchase Omron products, given that they don't offer customer support..

I had some trouble with my Omron monitor, so I decided to give their customer service a call. I explained my issue to the lady on the phone, and she quickly gave me some advice. She told me to put the cuff on my left arm and tell her what the reading was. I did as she instructed, but unfortunately, an error code appeared.
Without hesitation, the lady on the phone suggested that I change the batteries. She emphasized that I should use brand new batteries, and not ones that were older than 6 months. I was surprised that this simple solution worked, even though the batteries I had taken out tested good. It turns out that the voltage of the battery was okay, but when a load was placed on them, the current requirements were too large.
I was so impressed with the customer service that I decided to order an AC converter. Now, I get consistent readings without having to worry about changing batteries. I had a really frustrating experience with Omron recently. I needed to get my nebulizer serviced, so I called their helpline number at 9:43 AM on August 4th, 2020. Unfortunately, the IVR said they were closed. I tried again later that day at 1:06 PM, but this time the IVR said they were not operational due to COVID-19 and gave me a different number to call for emergencies.
I called that number, ***, six times, but no one answered and no one called me back. I even wrote an email at 1:27 PM that same day, but I never received a response. I tried tweeting at Omron and Omron India on Twitter, but still no response.
Finally, at 4:21 PM, I got a call back from Omron. They said they would send me an email with more information and that I could submit my nebulizer for servicing at their Rohini location. I asked if I could do it that day, but they said they were only open until 5 PM.
I received the email at 4:45 PM, but the number they gave me, ***767, didn't answer when I called 2-3 times. I called back the person who had called me earlier and asked for more contact details. Finally, I spoke to someone who said I could come the next day, but that they were closed for the day.
In the end, I had to purchase a new nebulizer because I couldn't get my old one serviced. And to make matters worse, Omron is not reimbursing me for the cost of the new nebulizer.
Overall, I was really disappointed with Omron's customer service. It was frustrating to not be able to get through to anyone on the phone or by email, and the lack of response on Twitter was also disappointing. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.
Omron Viva Review: Inaccurate Results and Poor Customer Support
I recently purchased an Omron Viva in July to replace my old Omron Karada Scan. I was surprised to find that the results from the two devices were vastly different. I even compared the results from a Tanita at a medical clinic, which showed almost identical results to my Karada. This led me to believe that the Viva must be defective.
Although the body weight was the same on both the Karada and the Viva, the body fat percentage and skeletal muscle results were significantly different. The Karada showed a body fat percentage of 20.6% and skeletal muscle of 34.4%, while the Viva showed a body fat percentage of 27.5% and skeletal muscle of 27.7%.
I reached out to Omron Customer Support to explain the issue and ask for their assistance in resolving it. They referred my "support ticket" to their Swedish wholesaler, SundMed AB, who was unable to answer my questions but promised to ask Omron. Omron responded that the two devices used different technology, which did not solve my problem.
I sent another message to Omron asking which of their current devices would provide the most accurate results since the Viva was not reliable. Unfortunately, I never received a response, and they did not offer any solutions to my problem. As a result, I will not be purchasing anything from Omron again.
It's disappointing that Omron did not provide me with the support I needed to resolve my issue. I hope they improve their customer service in the future to avoid losing customers like me.

I even tried to leave a review on their website, but they wouldn't let me because it was about customer service.
I mean, what's a customer supposed to do when they're treated like that? It just doesn't make any sense. If a business depends on their customers, why would they treat them so poorly? It's just not right. Needless to say, I won't be buying any Omron products again. They've lost a customer for life.
