I ordered service from Ooma phone company, and they shipped their equipment. I received the equipment and was prompted to provide my billing info to activate the account. The acct was activated, and I received a confirmation email. However, I needed assistance with set-up. I called the customer service line for three days straight before I was able to actually speak to a customer service rep. For three days, I was placed on never-ending hold, but whenever I would select the Sales line, someone always picked up. The rep told me that he couldn't help with set up. I also tried the online chat option and they too, said that they could not help. They messaged that I would have to contact customer support. When I finally spoke with someone in customer support, I decided to cancel the service. The rep gave me the address to return the equipment and told me that the acct was cancelled. I never received a confirmation email for the cancellation. Now I have to go through the hassle of trying to reach customer support again, because according to the chat rep, the acct is still active. Ooma phone company is the absolute worst and should not exist. Humanity deserves better.
Claimed loss: $140.71 for ordering the service + $23 UPS shipping fee to return the unused equipment.
Desired outcome: A full refund + reimbursement of the shipping fee. I want my Ooma acct canceled. I no longer want the service.
