Deceitful sale of 2013 Cruze
Purchased a 2013 Cruze in Oct 2023 as is, which I know is a bad mistake, but have purchased many new vehicles in the past so thought could trust the dealership. Within the first 100 miles check engine light turned on, had an error code of P0420. Here is where the deceit is possible - the computer has to run several diagnostics before the check engine light displays. In other words the diagnostics is pending until the computer will acknowledge the error.
I believe the used car department knew of the error code prior to the sale, and reset the OMB code to hide the error.
After spending $2400.00 to repair, which did not repair the error, I told the salesman I was not happy, but since I bought as is, there was nothing I could do. He stated that the manager told him the engine was replaced. I could not find any mention of the engine being replaced online.
I wish I could prove the deceit, all I can do is speculate. The symptoms point to knowledge of the error code being there and them knowing about it, but hiding it from the customer.
Recommendation: Hook an OMB tester to any used vehicle you wish to purchase from O'Rielly before you buy.
I paid $500+ for window tint, but I never got it
I paid $500+ for window tint, but I never got it. I called and messaged, but no one responded. Also, my windshield is cracked, and it was covered up by sales decals. I've bought 4 new vehicles in the last 28+ years, and I thought buying a used truck would be okay, but it was a big mistake. *** has been getting worse over time, and it's going downhill fast. I won't be coming back here again.
I bought my last 3 new vehicles from O'Reilly and was happy
I bought my last 3 new vehicles from O'Reilly and was happy. But recently, I got into an accident and my 2020 *** Equinox got wrecked. Since there's a shortage of new vehicles, I decided to buy a used one. I found one I liked on O'Reilly's website and made an appointment to test drive it. I told them my budget, and the advertised price on the webpage was ***. I know taxes and fees are usually around 10% of the cost, so I factored that in.
When I got there, the vehicle was dirty, and the salesman, ***, was late and came back with a price way higher than the ad price. He had a "take it or leave it" attitude. It's disappointing to see a once reputable dealership turn into just another shady used car place. Sadly, I won't be going back there, and I recommend others to buy somewhere else.
I took my car to O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc
I took my car to O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc. for some maintenance on 3/25/2022. I asked them to do any maintenance that was needed up to 100k miles because my car had 95k miles on it. The car was running fine with no issues. When I got the car back, I didn't drive it much, so it took me a while to notice that the engine stutters when I accelerate now. I called my service advisor and he told me to bring it back in. They found a leaking camshaft gasket and said they would fix it. I picked up the car again, but now the stuttering is even worse than before. It's a lot worse. I called and left a message for the manager, but I never got a call back. We always bring our cars to the dealer for maintenance because we thought they would fix anything they broke. Unfortunately, I'm still dealing with this issue and I don't have any more money to spend on it. It's especially frustrating because I know the car was running perfectly fine when I brought it in.
I had the worst experience ever with O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc
I had the worst experience ever with O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc. They've been messing me around and lying to me about fixing my car since April. They said it would take a week to fix, but I had to wait for 3 weeks before I could get my car back. They didn't even bother ordering the replacement parts until I contacted them in August. And guess what? They forgot to order them! Finally, when the parts arrived and I drove to the shop, one of them was broken. The guy named *** said he would go to the Auto Mall and get a new one, but after 4 hours, nothing happened. He didn't even bother calling me to let me know. When I finally talked to him, he said it wasn't his fault and hung up on me. The manager still hasn't called me back. I can't be the only one who had a bad experience there. I had to make 3 trips to the shop and my car still isn't fully fixed. It's just terrible. I want them to make it right! They need to know how awful their customer service is. I expected better from a company that's been around for so long.
I bought a car a few months ago
I bought a car a few months ago. My car had the carpet torn on the side, and they didn't even wash it properly. I knew I should've just left then. When I told them about it, they said to bring it in. Well, I did, and when I left, they said there's nothing they can do about it because that's how they're made. Now, let me tell you about the car buying experience. I had to go back 5 times because they didn't submit the paperwork on time for financing and even lost it. When I took my car for an oil change, they made a mess and didn't even vacuum it. I'm a business owner, and I can't imagine not helping my customers. Every time I asked to speak to the head of the dealership, they were rude and unwilling to assist. I will never buy from here or recommend anyone to buy from here. This place has gone downhill. If you want to fill your days and months with stress, poor customer service, and very rude financing reps, go for it!
So, we were told by our insurance peeps to go to O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc
So, we were told by our insurance peeps to go to O'Rielly Chevrolet, Inc. to fix our ride. We dropped it off on July 11, 2022, like they said, and they told us it would be ready in a week. But, being that we only got one car, I called 'em up to get an update. Turns out, they had no clue about our car. So, I had to borrow a whip 'cause we ain't got no rental car insurance, and drove a good 40 miles to check on our ride on July 13 at 1 PM. And guess what? It was still the same ol' car, no progress made. They hadn't even sent the deets to our insurance company. I was fuming, man. But, after I bounced, they finally got their act together and sent the info. Our insurance peeps gave it the green light the next day. But let me tell ya, it was a daily struggle dealing with these guys. They fed us lies, gave us the runaround, and caused all sorts of delays and confusion. Our insurance company was just as fed up as we were and finally hooked us up with a rental car after two weeks of not knowing when or if we'd ever get our ride back. Finally, after two and a half weeks, we got our wheels back. We just wanna put it out there so y'all can make an informed choice when it comes to gettin' your ride fixed.
We got our truck for sale online
We got our truck for sale online. A salesperson from O'Reilly contacted us 'bout buying it. We went there, so they could check the truck and take pics. We waited in their shop and they gave us a cash offer. (Our truck is fully owned, with a clear title). We wanted a couple days to think 'bout their offer. We told 'em we'd go ahead after 4 days. Went to their store to sign papers and found out they want you to sign the vehicle over and give it to them. Then, after 2-3 days, they'll pay for it. Excuse me? Who'd sign over and leave a valuable vehicle and wait for payment? They won't even let you test drive their cars alone, let alone have the title and possession for days! Other dealerships give cash when they get the vehicle and title. Don't know why they think they're special! Like other reviews, their shady practices deserve a 0-star review!
I would give 0 stars if that's possible
I would give 0 stars if that's possible. Please, if you can, AVOID purchasing pre-owned or certified pre-owned cars and whatever "extended warranty" they mayfer. I bought a 2017 Jeep Renegade 1 year ago this past March. It only had about 50K miles and seemed like the most reliable car for my needs, with good gas efficiency. But after taking it for service a few times, I realized it wasn't as great as I thought. The starter had issues the first time, and then the AC had problems. Even though I paid extra for the extended warranty, they said it was "not covered" and wouldn't even do a simple diagnostic. I ended up paying almost $1k for services that I thought would be covered.
The most recent issue was the starter going out again. I called the service department, and this time, the technician seemed to be refusing to help me. They recommended taking it somewhere other than O'Rielly to get it fixed. But interestingly enough, a Jeep technician recommended O'Rielly to me, so I had it towed there. And guess what? They couldn't find my vehicle for about 1-2 days. And trust me, this isn't the end of it.
I hope my review helps others decide where the best place is to buy a car.
About 4 weeks ago, I had an appointment to go see a 2015 Corvette
About 4 weeks ago, I had an appointment to go see a 2015 Corvette. When I got there, they told me to wait while they look for the car. Then they told me that the car had already been sold. Then the website magically updated that the car had sold while I was in the parking lot. They never told me that there was anyone else interested and I had a confirmed appointment with the salesperson for this specific car that I found online. Second encounter, I found another Corvette advertised at the same dealership and decided to just drive there to see it on the same day I saw the ad. I talked to the first salesperson in the used car lot and he offered to drive me around the lot, even through the auto repair garage, looking for this specific Corvette. Interestingly enough, it was nowhere to be found. And he had no explanation as to why they could not locate this car that was advertised. He didn't even offer once to go check the inventory to find out where this car might be. Needless to say, I left and of course, he took my information and will "contact me" when he locates it LOL. I don't expect to be contacted. I have since purchased another vehicle and I will NEVER recommend anyone I know to shop for a vehicle at O'Rielly Chevrolet in Tucson, Arizona. In my opinion, this seems to be a bait and switch tactic by advertising online, having a bot talk to you online, and then the salespeople acting as though the car exists. It's happened twice to me in less than 2 months. If there was a ZERO star review, that is what I would give.
