rapid pick up was all wrong
I placed an order through the rapid pick up for a Turkey egg white avocado spinach sandwich with extra spinach. What I received was a turkey egg white no avocado and easy spinach. This sandwich is very expensive for it to be wrong. My receipt was correct so why was my sandwich wrong. Very disappointed! If the rapid pick up is too much to handle then stop it

dressed salad on a to go order
I ordered rapid pick up and got a dressed salad. As someone who has previously worked at a panera, I'm not really sure how you mess that up since its clearly a to go order that you put it in a box. For $10 a salad you'd think they'd do it right. Obviously, I can't eat this salad that I wanted to eat for dinner, since I ordered it at 10:17 am. Really disappointing.
drive-thru order wrong x 2
A friend and I stop by Panera Bread frequently for lunch. He's a 'member' and I am not. Recently, orders (e.g., salads specifically) have been missing ingredients in signature dishes. Of course once a customer leaves the drive thru it's difficult to discover the missing intend until you get to your destination. He had missed chicken in his salads before.
Tonight, I stopped by for dinner and purchased 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad via the drive-thru. They ran out of flatbread so I settled for a turkey sandwich. I also ordered a Asian Sesame Chicken Salad (I was so happy this salad returned). No special exclusions or inclusions - just a regular salad I've ordered 2 dozen times at different locations, including this one. When I got home the salad was missing the almonds and the wontons! Bummer because the Panera Bread I made a special trip to is about 25 minutes from me.
These are some pretty major components that make the specific recipe that customers come to love. The food is not cheap and we choose to pay what we pay because we expect the meal to be accurate for what we crave. More and more I'm beginning to wonder if the value of the meals at Panera is worth it, particularl drive-thru service.
Disappointed in tonight's drive-thru and a few previous lunch drive-thru trips because of missing ingredients in salads.

bbq chicken flatbread
i ordered a bbq chicken flatbread today and it came with nothing on it. all it came with was chicken and bbq sauce. no cheese, no onions, no spinach. i would understand if i ordered the flatbread without these things, but i asked for the typical flatbread with everything on it. i get this item all of the time and this has never happened before. i'd like my money back
available vegan menu items
I am putting in a complaint of Panera's vegan menu items. First of all, there are only three vegan items. That is not including the salads, because most of the dressings are not vegan. The only two vegan items, that I have personally seen, are the black bean soup, the garden vegetable soup (w/o pesto), and the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich. The sandwich isn't even technically vegan because the bread has honey in it.
On to the "Plant Based" menu section that currently has two items on it. The Ancient Grain Greek Salad and the Autumn Squash soup. NEITHER of which are actually plant based. They are vegetarian. A plant based diet consists of whole plant foods with no animal products. If you are going to have a plant based section actually have plant based items on there.
Onto my personal problem. My go-to item to get at Panera is the vegetarian black bean soup. I consistently get it. Until now. You just, all of a sudden, up and take it off the menu, along with the garden vegetable. SO, not only cannot I not get my regular menu item, I cannot even get a different soup. None of the soups available to me are edible. So, thanks for that, guess I can't have a nice hot soup in a bread bowl on a cold day. So then, the t thing I usually get is the Med. Veggie Sandwich. I love this sandwich so much but, every time I get it I have to hope and pray they have mercy on me and decide to actually put the extra veggies I ask for. That is a local problem, but the next problem with the sandwich is not. You get one sandwich, and it usually pitiful and just slapped together. My fiance get the ham and swiss, which is the same price, and he gets TWO SANDWICHES. Not to mention they are piled high with meat and cheese. Not to sound like a child but that is utterly and completely unfair. Just because I choose not to partake in the cruel mistreatment of animals, doesn't mean I deserve less. If anything the Med. Veggie should have two sandwiches because there is barely anything on there!
Vegans are human beings and we deserve to able to eat out at any restaurant we please without having to alter or work around anything. All we are doing is trying to save this planet, ourselves, and the animals.
I eat here often because I trust your food over fast food. I know its clean. But you favor people who eat animal products over people who don't and until things change and there are more vegan menu items, I will not be eating here again.
refusal to refund & lying staff
Panera bread is complete crap. I ordered delivery today at 11am and did not receive my parfait. I told the delivery guy that I did not receive the parfait and he said someone could come back out. 45 minutes later, I call customer service to request for a reason and at 3PM, Panera bread contacts me back to state that they don't do refunds and that they'll give me a gift card. The supervisor also stated that the delivery guy told her that I never told him about the parfait.
They're a bunch of liars and this wouldn't be the first time Panera Bread has screwed me over.
food and service at panera bread
Rude, Hateful, snobby kids (millennials) run this place and it's nasty. Bathrooms are so nasty they are not usable. Your feet stick to the dining area floor when you walk. They skimp on food portions and don't make the salads correctly and use mostly Lettus "stems" and no leaves in the salad. They leave off ingredients from sandwiches. NONE of them wear gloves in the food prep area. They are always out of some ingredients and expect you to just do without and take whatever you get in whatever form it comes. They are extremely rude and snobby at this location. I will never waste my money there again! This location needs a visit from kitchen cops from Health Department.
flatbread
I just pulled a giant piece of plastic wrapping out of my flatbread. I am a rewards member and patron Panera very frequently. I'm disappointed in the lack of notice that a piece of plastic wrap this big would be in my food. I had this delivered so was not able to return it and did not want to wait for redelievery. This was pretty gross and I'm glad I found it before I put it in my mouth.
sexual harassment
The so called Manager at the Panera Bread in Midland, TX on Loop 250 (Luis) is constantly touching some of the female employees. This coming forward by many of the prior employees whom are no longer working there due to this. If you don't let him "play around" with you he begins to treat you unkindly until you quit on your own. This is an outrage and should not be tolerated. This Manager has got to be replaced ASAP before someone becomes a Victim to his deviance. Someone at Panera should investigate before they have a person file suit.
Panera Bread's solution to sexual harassment is to create a hostile work environment for the "non-playing" employee forcing them to quit or eventually firing them for a made-up reason. My manager even admitted during a hearing with the employment office that I was fired for making a complaint.
I have had no experience with this manager's "touching" but, as a customer, I can see that the place is not well-managed. In addition, one of the managers (I am imagining the one mentioned here) dresses in a slovenly manner and walks around like "King Tut" (self-important). I am pretty much a Panera Bread "junkie" and, although I find the food in other Panera Bread Cafes very fresh and delicious, it is not the case in Midland. I hope someone follows up on this and provides efficient and professional management asap (as this former worker or customer) noted.

"unauthorized credit card charges
Attempted to place an order online today from the Panera Bread located in Murfreesboro, TN (Old Fort) location. However never received confirmation from the order, however my account was charged 4 times from the attempt for delivery for $17.43 and then for the express option for $14.14 (ordered the cobb salad and the apple salad). I went into the store to find out that the order still never made it to them but the charges are still showing on my bank account. Feel this is illegal and charges shouldn't be placed until you have confirmation of the order. I explained the situation to the manager and all he did was reran my card and "expedited the order" however no sure empathy for the situation, didn't even offer a drink or a discount for the inconvenience. I really feel this system needs to be looked into because unauthorized charges are not ok, and the management needs to take ownership of the "companies" mistakes.
Thanks

chicken salad sandwich
I purchased your Chicken Salad Sandwich as I normally do at least 3 times a month. On my last visit I was very dissatisfied with my sandwich. The person fixing it must have put a very small scoop of chicken salad in the middle of the sandwich, then cut and wrapped it. It had very little chicken salad on those two large pieces of bread. And all of the chicken salad was in the middle with the lettuce and tomato sticking out of the sides. I got my lunch to go and didn't realize it until I got back to my office and sat down to eat. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take the sandwich back or I would have.
ordering online for delivery
September 19th, 2017 12:30 PM We have ordered from Panera online several times. Never have you had the bread we have ordered. We always receive a phone call saying "We don't have that bread". This time we were only given 3 different breads we could order. This is Panera BREAD? When I ask for the bread order to be removed I was told that couldn't be done unless we deleted the entire order and order again. If this was the first time the bread we wanted (simple rye bread - how difficult is that from a company with bread in it's name?) This is also a problem when we try to order at the store. Is rye bread, whole grain or wheat to difficult to make? This Panera is on Elm Road Warren Ohio. We are done with the place. Dorothy Honsinger 3312 Trappers Trail Cortland Ohio 44410
cashier meanness (2955 sw 160th ave-pembroke pines, fl)
I tried to redeem a Pastry Birthday reward received via EM from Panera. Today cashier's name's Tag read "Steph" who swiftly denied my request. When I motioned trying to show her my EM, she immediately replied that "No, it doesn't matter what the EM says, the only thing that counts is what it says here ~"here" being her cash register~ 1 coffee" When I requested a Latte (I always order either Latte or Capuccino) she again retorted "No, only black coffe, hot tea or soda".
When I proceeded to purchase an artichoke soufflé, I noticed she was getting it from an open tray, an open area, not from the protected, enclosed area where they are typically kept to remain warm, safe from contamination. All other soufflé s were in the safe area. When I asked why were they sitting there? (In 1 occasion long ago after 11:00 hrs or so, they posted a sign selling them at 1/2 the price instead of disposing of them), she again retorted: "No, they are just there"
I'm not concerned about her unwillingness to bother checking/trying to honor an offer by the Co she works for, as much as I found quite disturbing the unnecessary meanness of her attitude, as she appeared to be persistently taking great satisfaction to deny any request, or answer to any question?!. (The culture of Panera Bread being that of "A ~Warm~ and welcoming environment")
My inquiry still remains the same as to why those soufflés were sitting in an unprotected area, uncovered?! isn't the temperature of warm food related to sanitary reasons as well, to prevent food spoilage? ...Although I took items home, just for good measure I decided better not to have it?
I think that most people would agree on that employees taking pleasure on being unnecessarily mean to others, don't belong in Customer's service?
I've been a very loyal customer of Panera Bread ever since its inception in the US. Due to my handbag having been stolen, have difficulty keeping my Panera Bread membership card # straight. I've also taken the time dozens of instances contacting Managers in Restaurants, cruise ships, Hotels or any other kind of businesses, to point an employee who is an asset to their Company due to their excellent Customer Service. This is the "Very first time" I've ~ever~ contacted a Co to submit a complaint about 1 of their employees?! We don't live in a perfect World: involuntary accidents, mistakes can happen, but meanness with no provocation of any kind, require an intentional attitude. Pls Forgive me: I find that unacceptable. In 61 years, this is the first time I've ever submitted a non-positive letter?!
employee conversation
There was a young blonde manager at the store Thursday having conversation with another employee about her relations and sleeping with another employee whose name was either zack or Mack. I couldn't make it out. I had my children with me and was disgusted to hear this conversation taking place in a somewhat professional environment. I don't eat there often but I still expect much better in a family friendly place.
poor customer service
I visited your 4075 store this afternoon, my order number is 567. I ordered a danish and two coffee and my receipt said I was rewarded a free coffee or tea. My receipt stated " you received a reward. Received one free coffee or hot tea. I was chared for both coffees and spoke with the cashier Cynthia. She said I was to get a coffee on my next visit. I asked to speak with a manager who said the same thing. I showed her where It said "You received a reward and after reading the receipt a few times, she gave me a credit. I also told her that the decaf coffee was lukewarm, she said she would make a new one, which took over 20 minutes. I was so disappointed in your staff during my visit to your store. We left vowing never to come back again. Deborah Postler
peanut butter and jelly sandwich
On Sept 8, at your Columbus Ohio -Easton location I bought two pbj white bread sandwiches for my grandchildren. Extremely disappointed - there was a smear of peanut butter and a dab of jelly for outrageous $4.29 each. I spoke with the supervisor and was offered a pastry instead! The sandwich I ordered had 8 times the ingredients for $.90 more ! We always enjoy your food but this was not acceptable! I sent my comments to you the next day but NO RESPONSE!
hair in my food
I picked up food before work so I had lunch on my break. As I was eating almost half way through my salad I found a hair in it. I was so disgusted and disappointed. I always have my hair up and away from my face at work so I knew it wasn't mine, plus it was a different color from mine. I then had to go the whole day without having a full meal. I love Panera bread so much I'm very upset and disappointed that this happened
general complaint
I eat at Panera very often. Today I was kind of shocked about my experience at your Christiansburg location. I came in to get a pastry and a coffee. The selection of pastries was minimal. Do you not restock after a certain time? I came in at 4:00 pm. The coffee pots were empty. Both regulars. There were only four people total eating in the restaurant. Tables were dirty, not wiped down. We were asked by our cashier if it would be ok to put both pastries on one plate (because they didn't have any left) I can see why by my picture below. The trash can was running over. Another customer had to remind a worker that it needed to be changed. I'm sorry any employee that saw this should've acted immediately. I spend a lot of money at Panera. Just very disappointed.
condition of food and service generally at store #1575 in jacksonville
I evacuated from SW Florida to Jacksonville where I rode out Irma and had limited choice of restaurants and ate at Panera Bread on three occasions from 9/8/2017 through 9/15/2017. On each occasion the staff were very offhand, unhelpful and brusque if not rude. On the 2nd occasion I noticed how poorly the sandwich was made with all the ingredients stuffed in a general pile in the middle of pieces of bread that were no better (perhaps worse) than one can get at most supermarket bakeries these days; I ended up remaking the sandwich before I could eat it. On the third occasion (after being told rather roughly upon ordering a breakfast sandwich " we are finished with that at 10.30") I ordered the same sandwich as the previous day. When it arrived I asked them to make it properly and not just piled in the middle of the bread as on the day before. When it was returned it appeared to be in the same condition so I had to remake it. The turkey was in small pieces and appeared to have been soaked in something (not appetizing at all) . I started to eat the apple and found that the side that was hidden from view had a flat, brown, rotten oozy half dollar area where it had been resting obviously for a considerable time (perhaps weeks but obviously was not fresh). It was obvious to any one that no one had looked at the apple before serving it, at least no one who cared. I asked for the manger and after being told rather rudely where I could find the manager I said she/he could visit me at my table 5. I asked the manager if the apple was of the type and quality he would enjoy eating. He asked me what I would like him to do and "can I get you a fresh one." I considered this very rude, unprofessional, non apologetic and since they obviously did not serve "fresh" apples most unsatisfactory. I asked for my money back and was compensated 99 cents for the apple. While this was technically probably correct I did not know that I could pay less for the poorly made sandwich and not have the apple in the first place!
I tried diligently to find a way to make this complaint directly to Panera but without any success; in fact all I found was answers and prose which were designed to make Panera look efficient, caring and attentive. After my experience and reading some of the complaints I have formed the opinion that Panera is an organization that cares very little for any aspect of the customer except their money and cares arrogantly only about its manipulated bright shiny image and appearance to lure in those customers for its own enrichment. I will not eat at Panera again and will encourage others not to do so either.
bakery
1. Purchased 2 fresh warm chocolate chip cookies and was very unpleased the cookie was as hard as can be. If it was a cookie that just came out of the oven it shouldn't be as hard as can be very unhappy with your bakery in Whittier.
2. I talked to a team member at Whittier Panera because the trash can on the outside of the building had an open backpack inside it and hangout oug of the trashcan. Which looked very suspicious. The team member I talked to really didn't listen to what I said and only replied with "it's not their trashcan. I really thought this was very unprofessional.
