size of bagel, issues with this location
This morning I stopped at panera in englewood ohio (N. Main st). My reward for february is one free bagel everyday. I decided to have a bagel. When I got to work and opened my bag, this bagel was particularly small. I have never had a bagel that looked like this before. This particular panera seems to have multiple issues since they've opened. I will not visit this location again, i'll just have to travel further which means I won't go as often. Not sure what the problem is with the workers, training, manager, etc. But this location leaves a lot to be desired. . .
chicken
the chicken is never cooked well done when I order, whether it's a salad w/ chicken, frontega chicken panini, or chicken with tortellini. this is occurring at the George mason university campus location. this has happened numerous of times and is now beginning to affect my decision to continue being a supportive customer. the first occurrence I just happened to be double checking that extra chipotle sauce was added and spotted the undercooked pink chicken. the second, was a thinly sliced bright pink portion on top of a green goddess cobb w/ chicken. this final time was on top of the tortellini, which i attempted to correct in the microwave two times and was unsuccessful. I finally got fed up and made a direct complaint to the hierarchy staff on duty. I have made multiple attempts to forgive the undercooked chicken, but at this point and time, i have decided to no longer purchase any menu item besides pastries and soup. I sincerely hope this message is taken into a higher investigation to implement some sort of undercooked meat protocol for this specific Panera location (as I have never had this issue with other locations).
credit card charge
I had placed an order online for pick up today 2/9/2017 around 6pm .
The online transaction went through due to the email I received to confirm it and of course charged my credit card of 18.00 dollars but no indication that the store was closed due to the bad weather of snow we had, I was assuming that if the order went through online the place of business would be open but to my surprise they were closed ... So what happens now that my credit card was charged? I 'm very annoyed to the point of why was the online up and running if the store is closed, when the order status claims it would be ready at 6:10 my order # [protected]
Call your card company and reverse the charge.
I get why you are annoyed, but regardless of weather the internet does not shut down. I mean, the website is for the entire company all over the country. There is no way to shut off the ordering for one location. If you order after hours you get a message because the system is set up for EXACT times on a continuous cycle.. There is no way to schedule a snow storm. Obviously you knew you had bad weather. Why didn't you call first to make sure they were open?
wrong size, stale bread/brownie, burnt bread bowl
I just got home after getting a to go order of a bread bowl (bowl of broccoli cheddar), half a frontera chicken with a brownie and side of bread with a Carmel latte. My whole order was messed up, my bread bowl was partially burnt, my side of bread was stale and too hard to eat as well as my brownie was too hard to eat as well, my bread bowl wasn't even half filled because I'm sure I got a cup instead of a bowl size, and my latte was lukewarm at best. I've never sent anything back before at a restaurant or even complained but I paid 20 dollars for this meal and it is frustrating I couldn't even enjoy anything but the half panini. I would go back and ask for a replacement but it is a 20 minute drive. This was at the Clark son Clayton location today at 6 pm. If I could get a refund I would appreciate it as I eat at bread co locations at least 2 times a week often more.
change in price
Today I went to my favorite Panera to get a coffee refill in my Panera Travel mug and the price increased 10 cent and is now the same cost as the reg.coffee! A refill is a refill cup, saves on cost of using your dishes, I guess I will not bother to drag my cup to the store anymore, which is advertising for YOU, if I have to pay the same PRICE!thank you
product and customer service neglect
I'm writing a complaint against Panera breads management, due to unsatisfactory customer service. The mishandling of a customers feelings and conducting business in an unethical manner, denying service and saying that a costumer can get sick If product is serve . The assumption and the interruption of a conversation with another costumer and continually mistreating the situation and not handling in an a orderly fashion by interruption and denying service to a friendly non profit Academy and two people that volunteer there time to the community ..and disrespecting another customer and disregarding our patients ".
lack of product and quality
I love panera bread, I am a mypanera member and have been coming to panera bread for years. Lately the quality of my local panera bread has been going down. I come to my local panera bread every weekend, and every weekend they are out of a cookie I want, it is usually the 'mitten cookie/heart cookie'. One time I was even there at lunch time and they were already out of it. If they sell that many cookies by lunchtime, then they need to bake more. It is very disappointing.
Also, the line and wait time to order has been getting longer and longer, it is usually because they only have two registers open, even though they have four registers!
Panera, please do something about these issues.
about my orders
For past 6 months, I have been missing one of the items in my order every time I use the kiosk(for to go order).
First time, they forgot my croutons for my tomato soup. Second time, they forgot my bread for my you pick two order. Third time, they forgot my croutons again.
I complained to the manager that this was the third time I didn't get a complete order, but they acted as if it was nothing to worry about, which is not right.
How is this right that this happened three times to me? I am a customer and they should have a complete order from the start.
bathroom
I have to say I love panera. But my daughter and I recently stopped in to the highlands ranch co panera and while we waited for our to go order, stopped to use the restroom. As we walked in we noticed the overpowering smell. I am sure someone thought it was a good idea, but the "air freshener" they chose was overpowering, awful, sickening and stuck to us! As we walked out, we were both complaining that the smell was following us. We have to wash all of our clothes. I would not eat there again if they don't fix that problem because that smell sure does a number on the appetite.
conversation between manager and an employee
After several days of illness, my husband and I were enjoying bowls of Broccoli Cheddar Soup together at our Owasso, Oklahoma Panera Bread. At that time, the store manager decided to have a session of chewing out an employee at the nearest table to us. It was extremely uncomfortable and we had a to move to another location in the restaurant.
This is the same location, and the same manager was working, when we were treating out-of-town guests to dinner out during the holidays. One of our friends discovered a hair in one of the chocolate chip cookies in a package of several. I discreetly kept the cookie, with hair intact, and gave it to the manager. She then gave me a pastry to take home. I feel a little more could have been done to bring back my business. But, our very next visit was the one mentioned above.
roasted turkey avocado blt
I usually have a great experience at Panera. I love the food, and the service is usually good. But today it was very frustrating. I went to get a you pick two with the turkey Avocado blt half sandwich and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was half full in the you pick two portion, and the sandwich was more like a quarter of a sandwich. It could barely fit one tomato on it, it was that small. I understand it's a small portion, but this was so small it looks like a finger sandwich.
pick up area
When I was at the Park Ridge Panera and ordered through the kiosk I changed a couple things on the sandwich, ALL of which I pay extra for. When I went to the pick up area and waited for the to-go order I hear a lady yell about the things I changed and called it "weird". she then gives an attitude about another employee reading off to double check if she did it right. I'm in customer service myself and I was appalled this was all done right in front of me. Not to mention the hair that was in my soup! I frequent this location because of work and it's sad I will not go back because of service like that.
customer service department
On Friday, Jan 13, I received an email with the following message: "Your Panera Bread gift card automatic reload failed". This in spite of having a balance of $74.99. My account is set to reload $50 when the balance reaches $25. I have tried to get someone at Panera Customer Service (the telephone number in my email) ever since. The people I spoke with today tell me that I must wait 7-10 days before a specialist will get back with me. One person even suggested that I go to my local Panera store to resolve my problem! I am also having problems logging on to my account and get the following message: "Invalid information entered, please try again." Once yesterday I did get logged on only to find that my account showed a zero balance instead of $74.99. The folks at their customer service department have been no help at all. If I can ever get this resolved, I plan to cancel my card and never do business with Panera again, even though I have been a long-time customer.
I was hired to work part time 27 december 2016. new store on ankeny blve
December the 27th I had an interview with Panera Bread in Ankeny Iowa a new store opening. I was hired by Michelle Hanson [protected] and had to do a back ground check. And also had to send in paperwork I was on disability to the company.
I contacted Michelle more than once when I was to start. I was sent a text message to go to a hotel in Ankeny on Wednesday 28th of December for training. We did training by watching videos and sampling food. I had not done my w2 paperwork and was told I would be doing it that day at the store in Ankeny on Ankeny Blvd.
I went to the store and had to sign into to the computer to do training online and do my tax paperwork and attached a cancelled check so they would have my account number to deposit my pay checks.
When I had put in my five hours after starting at 9:00am to 2:pm
Ileft the store and was told to be in Thursday 29th December from 9am to 2 pm for training. I was there the entire 5 hours to train with everyone else.
We left at 2pm and was told to come back Friday the 30th at 9am to 2 pm. We had no way of clocking in we had to write our hours in. I left at 2pm Friday and hours were changed to start at 11:00 am to 5 pm.
I came in Saturday at10:45am for day. I was ill that day and was told to stay to see how I felt. I was also told my hours would be talked about since I told Michelle Hanson Manager at Panera Bread I could not work over 20 hours and she had me down at 28 hours. I also tried to talk to someone that the other girls had been training at Panera Bread at the store that had been open. They had been running the register and training there for days. I never got the chance and did not feel I was ready to start on the register but there seemed no one to talk to about this. I was very upset over the whole thing. I was so upset I got my things and left. I did not want to be at a store that I did not feel like I was ready to start at.
I called about my check and was told it would be mailed to me. However it never was. I contacted Michelle Manager today by text and told someone from the company would be calling me Tuesday 17th of January. One week after I was to be paid. All I want is to be paid for my 15 hours and 30 minutes that I have coming. How can you work for a company and not be paid that is against the law. I don' know how to send text documents to you. My phone number is [protected] my cell number. I would appreciate any help you can help me with.

12300 biscayne blvd, miami fl location
We luv panera bread! But the location in miami, fl 12300 biscayne blvd, has a homeless guy living in the restaurant. He's there at opening 6am, leaves his bags & personal items in the booth, next to an outlet, they let him bathe in the bathrooms and take out trash at closing. He leaves his items in the same spot/booth everyday / all day! He sits there, same spot, same dirty guy, on wifi. Then he will leave to grocery store using his food stamps, returns and puts his grocery foods in the microwave at panera. He sits & hides behind the standing signs as you walk in the restaurant. He tells people to meet him there (As if it's his home) and makes "under the table" dealings with shady people. Then sits at front tables to smoke for hours as if it's his personal balcony; watching movies all day on his phone. He hates if anyone sits in "his" area. He has bad body odor and sleeps in back of panera/outside by the dumpsters after closing. They dont employ him or pay him. He turns down the outside table umbrellas at closing at takes out the trash & trash cans... Returns each morning to grab his spot. They dont pay him. He's been living there for several years. Customers complain all the time! Panera gets free work... Are there are labor laws? This is unsanitary! All these years, why hasnt panera hired him? He's there all day and no job?! Stinking up the area and running away customers. And what are these "shady" under-the-table transactions?
harassment
I am a Ex employee of Punier Bread, As I was not fired just taking off the schedule without notice. I called out previously to the new schedule being put out as my uncle had surgery. I have worked for Punier Bread for 2 Years and just currently transferred to a new state/Location. Since the day I started there I could tell I was an-wanted by Employees and managers. The day I called out it was cleared with my manger sash as I have messages. I could not come to work as I had my uncles kids, which one is autistic and the other is to young to care for him self so I stepped in till my uncle returned, he came home early the day I called out as I had called out both of my jobs and since my second job at 7eleven did not find a cover I decided to call and ask if I could come on in since he returned outlast to make up some hours. About 20 minutes of me getting to 7eleven my General Manager Mike Staples shows up comes in stares at me and walks out smiling . The next day when the new schedule was posted I was not on it . I asked why I got no answer which I also have those messages too. Since starting there I have only been scheduled no more than 20hrs a week, which I was promised full time and I took this complaint up with my GM and other managers and I was told that I was new . The 5 people or 6 people who have worked there for years were not scheduled less than 35 hrs each schedule I felt like this was an-fair, as I have been working for punier for 2 years and was just new to the store not the company. The managers talked to me like I was nothing I had an employee tell me no one like me because I was from Florida and new everything and they felt as if I was coming to step on their toes. One employee yelled at me for grabbing the wrong cloth to wipe down the line and told me she would beat me up and that she did not like me since I walked in the door because of how I looked and then she yelled to our GM Mike Staples that he needs to move me before she does. He asked what was going on and I went to speak he walked away from me. That can be seen on camera. Mike Staples then went and took her to the office and they came out and she walked by me laughing the managers never once asked me what happen all they did was remove me like she asked. I was constantly ignored by the managers. I have left work crying deciding if id rather be homeless or go back to work and deal with this emotional harassment. Now I have no choice and was removed from the schedule with no explanation. I thought I had a career with Punier or outlast making one step by step. I gave my Manager Amanda my second job schedule as she rolled her eyes and complained about having to work around it . I had to get a second job not by choice I had no choice now I only have one job and loss a lot because of this and none will help me I am seeking a lawyer and will be going public soon if me reaching out to Punier Is not enough.
I wanted mac & cheese and I got onion soup!!
I asked for the half and half meal. I asked for a mac & cheese and chicken noodle soup. But I got a gross looking poop colored onion soup! I am very disappointed in the service! slow service
I visited the Cafe located in Doral Florida #[protected], check # 528152 at 1:25 pm on Friday 1/13/2017, I placed my order for two people and was handed the little contraction to place on my table.
Others that I saw arrived after I did and placed their order after my were getting their orders, my was yet to be delivered, at one point they tried to deliver an incorrect order to my table.
After 15 minutes wait, I got up and went to the window were the orders come out and asked about my order, only to find out it had been sitting there because they were unable to deliver as the contraction that I was given that would track were I was sitting wasn't working.
I that point without even an apology I was handed my order. So much for making it right for the Customer
awful experience
I went to panera at around 9pm... The cashier who was very friendly took my order... I ordered a tuna salad sandwich with a modern greek salad with quinoa... Oh and a large green tea (I love the green tea) anyway i'm standing at the counter enjoy my tea waiting for my food and the person behind the counter yells anthony! So anthony gets up grabs his bag and dips... So i'm just standing there waiting for my dinner (Whistling-drinking my tea)... And everyone start leaving... Looking at me like we're closing... Ummm excuse me?! Where is my food... Wellllll apparently anthony has my damn food... So the young lady behind the counter starts to remake my food... So i'm like thank you... I refill my tea and come back... My food is waiting on me... So fast forward 20 minutes and i'm sitting here in my living pulling out my sandwich and my bread is rock hard! Like damn near broke my tooth scrapped my gums and damn near popped my jaw out the socket to get some tuna... So I put it back in the bag and I pull my salad... I started eating it and it was good until I started biting into walnuts... Now I know for a fact modern greek salad with quinoa is supposed to have almonds not walnuts because then the taste will be of... So now it's saturday night and the snow is falling and panera is closed and I paid $12.76 for dinner that is absolutely inedible and disgusting... I'm so upset!
quality of service and food
Grand rapids, mi location 3738 - 99 monroe ave nw
Our company has been using panera since this store opened for our catering needs, and from the beginning we established what I thought was a great relationship. Over the course of a a few years, management and staff has changed at panera, resulting in a disappointing lack of service and attention to detail. I am rarely called back to confirm orders I place, I don't get a receipt with my order most of the time, and the food has been poor quality - as if they make it the night before and it sits in the cooler until ready to deliver. Your commercials tout fresh healthy high quality food, and this is not the case with this location. I hate the thought of ending our business relationship as this location is convenient for us. We give them a lot of business and have spent thousands of company dollars. I am hopeful for change.
