Unauthorized credit card charges
I am filing a complaint on behalf of my employer. We never authorized this company to charge our credit card and it has been a recurring thing ($46) for the past few months at least. I attempted to email the parent company, Adaptive Marketing, but that email bounced back to me (customerservice@adaptivemarketing.com). I need to cancel this subscription ASAP. Please help!
Fraud
I supposedly checked a box for to obtain a rebate while booking a trip on the Travelocity website. I was charged $23.95 for Passport To Fun as well as Shopping Essentials (same company). I never received the rebate and never received anything via e-mail or postal service from either of these bogus companies. Complete fraud and credit card scam. My bad for not noticing these charges for 19 months. However they never once invoiced, called or mailed me anything. There is no complaint department only a lady who goes by Keisha when you complain to Passport to Fun and Keyerta (sp?) when you complain to Shopping Essentials, . .same person at the same company using two names. Do not do business with this company they are just a credit card scam. Shame on Travelocity for subjecting me to this company. Shame on me for not monitoring my cc statement more closely

Charges that are not mine
I have been charged $14. 95 each for the months of september 2010 and for october 2010, these charges are on my bank
Statements. I called and was advised the charges were to be removed and a credit to my bank account was to follow. It has not
Been done. The statement shows the following:

My bank (B of America) sent me (online) a statement that contain the info that I owe a merchant named PASSPORTTOFUN the amount of $29.95, which is also a recurrent one, though I don't know the periodicity. I did not know the name even the name of this company before the bank's statement, let alone authorizing payments, therefore I conclude that this merchan obtained fraudolently my CC info and used it. At the present I am out of the US and I am not planning to come back before the next winter, therefore communicating wether by phone orby other means is next to impossible in my situation. My bank acted beaurecratically when I complained and tried to stop the payment as if I am not master of my money or if the bank is there to cooperate rather with the unethical merchants. In a nutshell the bank would not help me as I expected. Ironically I don't know the address of this merchant despite I am charged by it.
Plese advise.

While checking my bank account I noted two deductions of equal amount and called the number listed. Tonicka, the CSR indicated that she would remove the charge and immediatly refund two different charges. When I asked how this was done she indicated that I had requested a free 10 day look at one or another site and that this was sufficient to charge my acount. What I could not determine is how she got the CC number in the first place. This is an absolute fraud practice and everything posssible should be done to STOP it.
I had had good luck with RestaurantS.com. When trying to use it again, I mistakenly left out the "S" and got into restaurant.com. Apparently that led me into Passporttofun. The initial charge on 09-22-08 was only a dollar, which I thought wasn't bad. Only when I looked at my bank statement (which shows charges to my debit card) did I realize that I was ALSO charged $19.95 later that same day. I fell prey to this about three weeks before surgery, when I wanted something PLEASANT to look forward to. After having surgery on 10-14-08, only now I am beginning to function at a level where I am discovering that big charge has been repeated. I never got ANYthing for this, not even the member ID required to get into their web site (beyond the opening blurb about what good savings they offer). The follow-up after their opening page said they would not communicate with me unless I gave them my "credit" card number. I refused.
I was assisting my 91 year old mother with her banking and we discovered that she was being charged $16.95 per month for what we didn't know. On her statement it indicates MVQ Passprt2fun but website is Passport to fun. This has been going on for 16 months. She has never used this service. I think it's criminal to take advantage of older folks. When someone hasn't used a service in a year they should contact them and get it straightened out. She doesn't use a computer. Charges come from Conn.
Hi, I am emailing this complaint because I received an email this morning 12/01/2008 from a company saying I have a membership at "passporttofun" and if I don't cancel my membership I will be billed $14.99 I think. I was very scared to call the number and go to the web site but if it is true I better cancel. So I called the number above and canceled. The automated system did not allow me to speak with someone.
I entered the membership number that came on the email for the canellation. I don't know if this is a scam but please look into this. I don't know where this came from and most suredly did not order this. Maybe it was something in some fine print even though I attempt to scan a document or promotion for these kind of issues.
I have kept the email so if you would like it I have it. Thanks for your time in this important matter.
Sincerely,
Sonja Jefferson

PassportToFun keep charging me for some program for which I did not order. Came through when I ordered with Catalog Outlets, so I'm gone from them, too. When I received the original invoice from Catalog Outlets, I immediately emailed them that the 9.95 was incorrect and to remove it. It is now constantly on my bank debit account.
I was charged $16.95 on 3/5/09 and again for $16.95 on 3/17/09 for something (I donT know what) without my prior knowledge or concent.
This company charges $ 14.95/month on my credit card. I never purchased their service and never authorized monthly charges to my card.
I keep getting billed on my credit card for passport tofun and I never heard of it .If I call or go on to website they won't let me through unless I use my credit card number.
I am getting billed 19.95 a month for this service that i never ordered and they are using my credit card number

unauthorized withdrawals from account
For more than a year and a half, MVQ Passport to Fun withdrew money every month from my checking account without my authorization. My credit card information was lobbed and hijacked from them through Fandango.com after I purchased movie tickets. I never received any products, coupons or merchandise at any time from this company

I am scared to order anything online now. That should make merchants online concerned. After all, there are those companies who hitch a ride on your bank for months unless you catch them. They do it when you order something, they claim you authorized them to deduct so much per month. They count on you NOT checking your bank account activity often! Be vigilant with your checking account. Check at least weekly. It is usually some company like PSport to fun or one of their other names that soak you for extra cash each month. Be very careful when ordering online.

When you order something from Vista Print, they sign you up for a service called Passport to Fun without your authorization and then allow this company to bill your credit card without your permission. Both companies insist that you "signed up for this service" when there is no place to authorize this on Vista Print website. Both companies are shady and fraudulent!
unauthorized charges
Unauthorized charges being deducted from my account. they also are part of Shopping Essentials Plus which also charged my account without my permission.

I signed up for Passport To Fun, which appeared on the Travelocity website when I booked airfare. It appeared to be risk and cost free, but I was surprised to find charges to my credit card each month for $19.95. Apparently this is a monthly fee for the the opportunity to be able to get discounts for some kinds of entertainment. What a scam! To think that most people make money by honest work and these people rake in money by deceiving people. Since somewhere along the way I accepted their scam by clicking on an 'I accept' button, the credit card company was no help in getting 2 months of charges back. Shame on Travelocity for having this on their site.
charging my credit card every month in the amount of 21.95 for 7 months
my bank told me that passport to fun has been taking out 21.95 every month for 7 months and i did not authorize any thing like this please email me back at [protected]@yahoo.com this is not right

I have a similar problem of my credit card being charged 19.95 every month for the past 5 months. When I call their number [protected] they ask for my ID number which of course I do not have and the call does not go through to any representative. When I try logging on their site they ask me to provide my crdeit card number to access my account, but the card being charged is not even recognised by their system. I have no recollection of even the name of this company or their service, frankly do not even know what they sell. Utlimately I have complained to my Bank.
Have no clue who these people are.
I received an overdraft notice from my bank of $34.00 plus a charge of $14.95 from Passport 2Fun Plus. I called the 800 number my bank gave me for them and spoke to a representative that told me I clicked a banner when I ordered business cards from Vista Print in October of 2008. I did no such thing to my knowledge. Why would it take a legitimate company 9 months to charge you?
I spoke with a supervisor and see was very arrogant and told me I would have to get a statement from my bank showing that the 14.95 charge created the overdraft fee and it would take 22 days to complete the "compliance investigation.
I have no clue who or what this company is or does nor did I authorize them to charge my account. This should be totally illegal.

i went to look at my checking account and saw an unauthorized withdrawl on my account for 19.95 and do not know what this is for and i did not authorize this and i would like a refund now
Unbelievable i just looked at my account i was charge with $17.95 out of nowhere i called them to who they were and i still dint know who they are grrr... now they want me to fax my bank statement to them, they kept asking me for my credit card number ? omg this people are horrible . unfortunately my bank wont do a thing i have to go thrue this hustle :(
These vampires have leached on to every account I have, business, personal, and other and are charging me $19.95 on each account a month totalling $80 a month. For nothing! Oh, they say the get me discounts on unidentified things. Apparently they got me when I booked a flight through Travelocity. They say they gave me a free 30 day membership that I didn't even know that I had and then they started charging after the free month when I didnt cancel the account I didnt even know that I had. Travelocity does have both my personal account and my business account but I don't know how they taped into my other accounts. I am sending written complains to the AG and BBB in Tx (Travelocity), Connecticut (Passport 2 Fun Plus), and Michigan. I may even sue. They have racked up quite a score before I noticed what was going on.
Hidden cost on Credit Card bill
Passport to Fun has been charging our credit card company (us) a monthly charge for this service which we were unaware of. I have called the company but they can't refund us any of our money that they charged for the last 3 years. They however, will refund us for the last $18.95 that they billed for this past month. I also called the credit card company and spoke to the dispute department. They can only do what the Passport to Fun company is going to do (credit us for the last payment). I don't remember ever receiving anything or signing up for this idiotic fee. Evidently, hundreds have experience this same scam.

PassportToFun owes me money. I never authorized the credit card charge. I never saw any $50 WalMart gift card that when I called to find out about the charge they said they had sent me. I never saw the number that they told me on the phone was my ID#. I never saw a brochure or any info about the company and its supposed benefits.
Please stop this company.
Creditcardcharge
I received my Credit Card statement and it included a charge to PassportOfFun [protected] in the amount of $14.95.
When and how did this company obtain my creditcard number without my knowing of this transacti0n?
I did not receive any such corrrespondence in the mail.
I request this charge be credited back to the me.
Was reviewing old bills from 08, noticed questionable
charges. I know this is late...but I had a mini-stroke,
broken leg, family tragedy and only now getting to
the older documents.
I See two charges on 5-02-08 for membership
AtHomeRewards (phone [protected])and Passportoffun (phone [protected])
each for $14.95
I had returned home from rehab for broken leg
in March 08. Certainly would not have signed up
for "FUN" at that point, nor did I ever.
Tried calling them and the numbers ask for
membership number. Don't know that I ever received one. Then phone number...and it repeats back
a number I did not give them...asks for credit
card number which foolishly I tapped in (card cancelled
long ago) and recording repeats back a number I did
not give them. CROOKS.
I was charged by passportoffun for $14.95 and now once again for even more this time $16.95 when I never agreed to these charges nor have I purchased anything from this company! I demand a full refund from this company!
UNAUTHORIZED ENRELLMENT AND CHARGED CREDIT CARD SOME MEMBERSHIP FEE, IVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THIS COMPANY BEFORE
Where do these charges originate? How do I get them reversed?
Unauthorized Charge To Bank Account
File complaints against Trilegiant with the Federal Trade Commission.
Trilegiant owns Passporttofun and numerous other worthless membership programs.
The FTC has already fined them over $14 Million and made them make repay over $25 million in fees charged to unsuspecting customers. Even so - they have not stopped their illegal cramming of charges to unsuspecting consumers.
NO ONE WANTS TO SIGN UP FOR THESE WORTHLESS PROGRAMS!
So they hide behind surveys, money off you current order or tiny print with pre-checked checkboxes when internet shopping.
unauthorized charges 14.95 per month to my visa card
Unauthorized credit card charge
Charge of $1.95 and associated refund (net $0.00) appeared on my bill last month. This month an unauthorized charge for $159.95 appeared on bill. I called the number and they (Patricia #19807) did agree to reversing the charge in the next two days. Let's see what happens. I really suspect that the $1.95 transaction was just to determine if the account was valid.
i also got charged for fees of 19.99 two months as well i need to contact somone but there are no numbers to call
Withdraw $1.00 and $29.95 each month for services I never signed up for
Passport to Fun fraudulently obtained my credit card info and proceeded to withdraw $1.00 and $29.95 each month for services I never signed up for. Their customer service is non-existent. The supervisor (employee #45912) was obviously used to such complaints, and acted like she was doing me a big favor by refunding two months, but refused to pass my call along to the next step on the supervisory ladder, claiming that she was the only supervisor with the company. Ridiculous!
Just like everyone else, this company has been charging my card for over 2 years and I cannot get any resolution. ATT (credit card co) tells me to contact Passport and that doesn't help at all. Has anyone gotten resolution on this and if so, how?
They have been taking $20 dollars out of my bank account and i have no idea who they are! I really want them to stop because that is my money they are taking from me
I do not have any idea what Passport to Fun is. I want my money back.
unathorized charge on credit card
I was scammed to. Supervisor would only refund one month. I am having my bank reverse all charges and opening a formal legal complaint.
hello there. i was shocked that people from passport to fun charged us since 2007 that my husband is deaf never knew about that till today. i want all money back.. we never got the membership id number... they kept charged till i found it on bank statment and asked my husband if he got it that correct or not? myself am deaf too.. i felt they took advantage of our money on our credit cards without any information with member id number since 2007.. we never joined that program since 2007 i found out about that charges today .. it makes me so mad...i felt it is called credit card fraud
SCAM! FRAUD! P/T/F advertised a $25 rebate for trying a 30 day trial period membership during the checkout process when I purchased US Open tickets through Ticket Box. Needless to say 30 days came and went with no rebate check. Fortunately, I cancelled my membership within the 30 days. Didn't think my experience with them would be very good if they did not keep their word from the beginning. Thought about suing in small claims based on principal. However, low and behold the link is no longer showing up on the T/B website. I think that people need to sue both P/T/F & any company that has their ad on their website because they are making advertising $ when you sign up for P/T/F.
I have recently discovered that Passportofun has been taking money from my credit card each month for well over a year now, perhaps even two, & in spite of me instructing my credit card company not to pay, nothing has been done. The reason I did not catch this before now is because I had have a terrible time with my credit card company still sending my statement to Saudi Arabia or I'd have caught this well before now.
I sent an email to Passport telling them I wanted ALL the money back as I have no idea WHo they are, WHAT they are & have NEVEr joined them or given them permission to do this. As far as I'm coincerned this is credit card fraud & I am taking legal action if this money is not put back into my account within 7 days from the date of this email. The amount is well over £300 pounds by now I imagine as last August it was £191.00..
Frustrated & very angry. Please advise.

My wife got scammed by Passport to Fun by booking reservations through Travelocity. Upon seeing a second consecutive month of charges of $19.95 to her checking account, she called Passport to Fun at [protected] and requested a refund and to cancel membership since she never intended to be a member in the first place. The customer service rep insisted that only one month could be refunded at which point my wife asked to speak to a supervisor. The call got disconnected so she called back. This time she managed to speak to a supervisor who, after some hesitation, agreed to refund both months and said it would take 2-3 business days. My next step will be to complain to Travelocity about their business practices. Passport to Fun's address is: 9500 West Dodge Road., Suite 100, Omaha, NE 68114.
i myself dont know as from where they got my credit card details.I bought a number of online air tickets while recently travelling from chicago to cleveland and to new york but they were all genuine sites.I think they have created a good software for scamming these details.THey need to get closed down.I was outraged when I saw my credit card bills for passport2fun .THe irony is that i never signed up for any service not did i get any service for this.Malicious company creating malware..That's it!
