I bought a used car from Patrick Hyundai and let me tell you, at my age of 74, they treated me like I was some kind of criminal
I bought a used car from Patrick Hyundai and let me tell you, at my age of 74, they treated me like I was some kind of criminal. It was really insulting.
We asked 'bout buyin' a used 2020 Hyundai ***
We asked 'bout buyin' a used 2020 Hyundai ***. They said it's $31,488. We asked 'bout the car and said we'd pay cash. They gave us a quote with extra stuff like tires, rims, and key fob warranty, addin' up to over $2,500. We said we don't want those and we'd pay $31,488 cash. They said no 'cause they'd lose money. This ain't right 'cause they advertised a price they won't take. We ain't gonna deal with Patrick Hyundai no more. They lost a potential customer. Their sales tactics are shady. If you can't take the price, don't advertise it.
Worst dealership I've ever been to, I'm telling you, worst dealership I've ever been to
Worst dealership I've ever been to, I'm telling you, worst dealership I've ever been to. They don't listen to you and when you disagree, they disrespect you. If GUS *** is your service advisor, ask for someone else right away 'cause he charged us for something we didn't ask him to fix and wouldn't fix the issue we brought up. And let me tell you, the service desk associate, Aubrey, was just as rude and disrespectful to me. Overall, I had one of the worst dealership experiences ever, and I would've rather gone to a local mechanic shop than deal with Gus and Aubrey at Patrick Hyundai.
I went to Patrick Hyundai to negotiate a price for a car
I went to Patrick Hyundai to negotiate a price for a car. We agreed on a price and trade-in value, signed a contract, and even put down a deposit. A few days later, when I was ready to trade the cars and complete the paperwork, they called me back and changed the deal by $6,000! They claimed it was a mistake and that they had given me too good of a price. It's frustrating because what's the point of negotiating if the agreed-upon price and deposit mean nothing? I've negotiated many times before, but I've never encountered such dishonesty. I live in the area and have bought two cars from Patrick in the past, recommending them to friends. However, I now strongly advise against dealing with Patrick.
Brought my car in for 2nd oil change and inspection of **** warning
Brought my car in for 2nd oil change and inspection of *** warning. My consultant *** did a good job explaining the likely cause of the problem and the cost if I decided to get the *** checked. This helped me make an informed decision to not get the service. Also, *** saw in the system that my 1st oil change should have been free (there was a coupon I didn't notice) and let me use the coupon for my current service. The multipoint inspection was helpful too because it helps me plan for future repairs. Time and money are important, and good customer service saves on both. I thought I would have to pay around $30, but ended up not paying anything thanks to the honesty and attentiveness of ***. Happy to do business with this dealership.
Don't buy a car from here!
Don't buy a car from here! This is a terrible business! I was pushed, harassed, and assaulted by the sales manager, John Smith, inside the showroom of Patrick Hyundai. Then he chased me up to my car. I felt extremely harassed, assaulted, and scared. He pushed me! He is a really big guy and I am a small female. I was also threatened by Sarah Cancel. My client bought a car from here a month ago. He signed all the contracts and got the car registered. A few days ago, they called my client to tell him that he is no longer approved to have the car because he is not a US citizen. A month later? At the beginning, he got a 2.9% interest rate. Today, they wanted to redo the contract for almost 6% interest! While we were at the dealership, they stole the license plates of the car. This was done by John Smith, who also harassed my client's mother by text at really late times. We had to call the police on them. We got the plates back because of the police intervention. To be continued... we are hiring a lawyer! This is pure harassment, discrimination, assault, and fraud! Stay away from buying a car from here!
I had my truck at Patrick Hyundai's service center for 8 months waitin' on an engine
I had my truck at Patrick Hyundai's service center for 8 months waitin' on an engine. Finally got my truck back on 10/6/22. Took it back to 'em on 10/7/22 with a bunch of issues. The engine cover was cracked in two different spots, my breaks were grindin', someone tried to pry into my front passenger door, right fender was messed up, car was all dirty from sittin' for 8 months, and there was oil and antifreeze spilled under the hood that wasn't cleaned up. *** said they'd keep my car and fix the problems. Went to pick it up on 10/15/22 and talked to the service manager ***. Nothin' was fixed. Reached out to Hyundai *** the next Monday 'bout my concerns. Also noticed my backup camera ain't workin' no more and it's got a blue screen, there's a hole in my driver's seat, and the seat belt warnin' don't work no more. On 10/24/22, my vehicle stopped on me and a service message popped up on my screen. Managed to talk to the *** today, 10/25/22, to let 'em know 'bout the new issue with my vehicle after they had it for 8 months and put in a new engine. He said they'd be happy to check it out, but only if I took down my yelp review 'cause it was givin' the dealership a bad rep. I told him I ain't takin' it down 'cause it was my honest experience with their service *** He got mad and the call ended with me tellin' him I'll get a lawyer involved 'cause he's tryin' to blackmail me just to get my issue looked at.
My original review is over *** characters but I'm only allowed *** here
My original review is over *** characters but I'm only allowed *** here. *** isn't enough to adequately describe just how horrible the car buying experience was from Patrick Hyundai. We were extorted an additional $1,500 for optional accessories that weren't optional (they wouldn't remove them when we asked), they forced us to sign paperwork stating that the accessories were optional and that we agreed to buy them but we were also told that the paperwork was mandatory to sign if we wanted to buy the car, the financing offered on their website and via email communication prior to going into the dealership, as well as the financing offer we qualified for was ***%, but they later reneged on this and told us they would only offer us ***%. And to top it all off, they sold us a brand new car that they failed to find a safety defect in. My wife found the defect right before we were about to drive the car off the lot. So they extorted us, forced us to sign paperwork that falsely reflected the shady practices, falsely advertised financing and lied about the financing via email communication, and then sold us a defective car which we couldn't even drive off the lot after paying for it. And they told us several times that they weren't forcing us to buy the car and that they would sell it to someone else later that day. They don't care about the customers. They don't care about you. I strongly urge you to avoid this dealer, they do not deserve your business.
I gave this place one star because I had to!
I gave this place one star because I had to! I own a 2021 Hyundai Kona with *** miles. The check engine light came on and the car started running rough. I called the dealer I bought it from and they said not to drive it and to call Hyundai roadside service. They would tow it to the nearest Hyundai dealer, Patrick Hyundai. The tow driver picked up my car at 2:30pm on 2/14/22 and dropped it off at Patrick at 3:00pm. They parked it in the first row and I walked in and gave the keys to the service desk. The service person asked for my name and number and I gave it to them. I didn't hear anything, so I called on 2/15/22 in the morning. *** told me my car wasn't there and he had thousands of cars on the lot and didn't have time to look for it because they were busy. He was very short and rude on the phone. *** called back about an hour later and said they found the car, but they didn't have the keys. He said none of the service guys took any keys. He called back later and said they found the keys on the service manager's desk, but they didn't know how they got there. After that, he was nicer and said they would look at my car to see the issue and if I needed any other services. I didn't hear back from them, so I called on the morning of 2/16/22. He told me the issue (2 Ignition coils) and that the car was finished and I could pick it up. I picked it up at about 5:15pm and as I drove off the lot, I noticed they left me with only 1 mile of gas left (I had almost half a tank when I brought it in). The receipt said they drove it for 20 miles to test, yet my car had almost 60 extra miles from when I dropped it off. This was the worst service experience I've had in my 45 years of owning cars. If my car needs to be towed again, I won't tow it to Patrick. I'll pay extra to tow it to my dealership.
I got my 2022 Tucson Hybrid serviced at Patrick Hyundai in March
I got my 2022 Tucson Hybrid serviced at Patrick Hyundai in March. I brought my car in for its first "complimentary service," but I wish I had gone somewhere else. If you came here for your "complimentary service," you should read this and take action like I had to. After getting my vehicle back, I read the service order and saw that they used 5w30 oil instead of the required 0w20, which is stated on the oil cap and user manual. I told the service writer about the mistake, and he brought out the service person in charge of the techs. He told me that "Hyundai doesn't pay us to use 0w20 oil for complimentary service, so we use 5w30." I was shocked by this admission. They offered to drain the oil and have me pay for the correct 0w20 oil, or they couldn't do anything about it. I expressed my displeasure and said I would take it up with Hyundai. On my drive home, I contacted Hyundai and filed a complaint against the dealership for improper service on my vehicle. After contacting several dealerships, including Patrick Hyundai, about my concerns, I was contacted by Patrick Hyundai's Service Manager, ***, regarding the way my vehicle was serviced and what was done wrong. He agreed that they messed up and asked me to bring in my vehicle to put the correct oil in it. Just last week, on April 20, 2022, I took my vehicle back to Patrick Hyundai to redo the oil change with the correct 0w20 oil. If you have had "complimentary service" done here, please check your work order to see what weight oil was used. Make sure the correct one was used, and if not, call Hyundai and express your concerns. If you don't say anything, they won't fix the problem.

I got a car from Patrick Hyundai and used a cashier's check from a nearby bank to pay on October 4
I got a car from Patrick Hyundai and used a cashier's check from a nearby bank to pay on October 4. I paid more than what was needed, so they said they would give me a refund. I have the paperwork to prove it. However, they haven't given me the refund yet, even though they don't argue about it. It's been a month now, and they keep stalling and making up excuses or just ignoring my calls and messages. In the last two weeks, they keep saying the check is in the mail, but they can't provide any details like the check number or any other information to back it up. They owe me $443.00.
I sold my car to Patrick Hyundai on July 7th
I sold my car to Patrick Hyundai on July 7th. They told me they would pay off the remaining balance of *** and send me my positive equity of *** dollars once they received the title from the finance office. It's been over three weeks since the sale, and today is July 28th. Hyundai finance still hasn't received the payoff, and I haven't received my payment of ***. I'm now without a car and without any money. I've contacted the dealership multiple times, speaking with *** and another guy named ***. They told me they sent the payoff to the wrong office, which was the leasing office of Hyundai finance. My question is, why couldn't they stop the check and overnight it to Hyundai finance? They've been giving me the runaround, saying they need the title before they can issue my check. Other dealers like Carvana or CarMax would cut the check on the spot, even if there is a payoff balance, as long as you have equity.
My mom did a deal at Patrick Hyundai and told them we'd pay the whole balance
My mom did a deal at Patrick Hyundai and told them we'd pay the whole balance. The new car came so we went to give them the old one, get the new one, and pay the balance. The salesperson gave me a form that said they'd check my credit. I reminded them we were paying in full and didn't need a credit check. He said, "oh this is just the same form but we're not checking credit - look, you don't have to fill anything." I asked why I had to sign a form that clearly said they were checking credit if they weren't. He said Transnational makes everyone sign it. I signed it and 45 minutes later, they gave me my credit score! I said, "I thought we weren't checking credit!" He said, "I said we weren't doing a credit application, but we need the score to verify your identity." I've never heard of this and we always buy cars outright. When I got home, I looked up the law and found out it's not legal. According to the Patriot Act of ***, they don't have to check it: ***, and Experian says they don't have to check it: ***. These are bad business practices; now they have all my financial info, credit score, etc. They already checked the checking account to make sure there was enough money; this seems like a sneaky practice. We asked about this many times and they said we had to do it to finish the process.

I bought a Hyundai Genesis from Patrick's Cars in September
I bought a Hyundai Genesis from Patrick's Cars in September . The car is fine, but they took $1000 for services they didn't do. It's been months and I reached out 5+ times with little feedback. I would've paid more for the same car just to get better service. This is the worst customer experience I ever had. They have poor customer service, can't even communicate or respond to complaints. I'll file a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. They held onto my $1,000 for months without any update. This is my email to Scott *** which wasn't returned. I think it's the 6th attempt to get info: Hi Scott, I hope you and your family are well. I wanted to reach out about a purchase I made in September. When I bought my 2016 Genesis, I thought it'd be good to get leather/paint insurance and a remote start. Will *** and I agreed at $1,000. Keep in mind, I drove 3 hours to buy the car. I said I'd drop it off in December to have the services done while I was in Mexico. I dropped the car off, spoke with 3 employees, explained what I needed, and when I'd pick it up (at least a week later). When I came to get the car, no work was done and each employee blamed someone else. This was disappointing, as I mentioned coming from my home in Peoria, Illinois, which is 3 hours away. What disappointed me more was the customer service when I tried to fix this. It took 3 calls and 2 weeks before anyone got back to me. When I reached a sales rep, he wasn't pleasant and seemed inconvenienced. Eventually, I got a cancellation request on December 17th (form attached). I was told I'd get my $1,000 within 60-90 days. I haven't received anything yet. I want confirmation that the cancellation went through. Honestly, with my experience, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't even put through. Sales and customer service are my career. When I start a business relationship, I tell them they can call me any day, any hour if they need something. I'm available for my clients every single day, often past 10pm. I'd be embarrassed if someone at my company treated our customers this poorly. Please give a status update on my cancellation request from December 17th and where my $1,000 refund is. Thank you. Please contact me directly at ***.
