I had a very disappointing experience with Paul Davis Restoration Experts (Birmingham store). The company’s customer service is terrible. They have been extremely unresponsive and unhelpful when it comes to addressing concerns or resolving issues.
I have been waiting for a refund they promised months ago, but they keep delaying with vague excuses (e.g. short staffing, lost check). Every time my insurance agent called, he was either told the person who can help is unavailable or given a generic response about how they’re 'working on it’ or ‘have sent the check’, which was never received and did not have tracking number! And, every time I called the corporate office to escalate the issue, I was told they would pass it on the local office and someone would contact me regarding the issue, and I never hear back! This is unprofessional and unacceptable, especially when it comes to handling their customers' money.
If you’re considering using Paul Davis, be cautious. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is alarming. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and honest service.
Recommendation: Do NOT use this company!
Make a formal record of all interaction and then, direct an official request for your refund through certified mail to both the Corporate and local offices. In case there is also no response, contemplate lodging a grievance with your state’s attorney general or small claims court.
